dear brothers and sisters in Islam and humanity as salaam alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh May the peace blessings and mercy of Allah be upon you all. And welcome to this the first in a series of interviews and question and answer sessions regarding Ramadan entitled Ramadan, a date with Dr. Zakir

00:01:53--> 00:02:52

I am your host usip chambers. I myself will be interviewing Dr. Zakir Naik and asking him your questions regarding important topics to do with Ramadan. Ramadan has a very special place in my own heart. 16 years ago, after a struggle of more than 10 years, I stumbled upon Muslims. Deep in the worship of Allah during this blessed month, Ramadan. After a struggle of more than 10 years, I went through Christianity, Hinduism, Jainism, materialism, socialism, and many other isms that you and I wouldn't even recognize even if I tried to tell you you wouldn't recognize them Subhana Allah now, rather than sisters, during this blessed month of Ramadan, Allah revealed the last testament his

00:02:52--> 00:03:36

last testament to mankind, the court and and the God and is still with us. Can you imagine this? This is why this month of Ramadan is so special to the Muslims, not just the Muslims, but non Muslims. Indeed, I came to Islam during this blessed month for when I encountered Muslims that were not practicing their Deen. And then suddenly they started practicing in that one month, I felt obliged to look in to the books of Islam and search for the truth, I found the truth, and a few days later I started fasting. A few days later, I took the Shahada Alhamdulillah this blessing Islam is just too good for people to overlook.

00:03:38--> 00:03:58

Brothers and sisters Ramadan, the month of mercy, the month of forgiveness. The month when the blessing Quran was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. This series of programs is so incredibly important for you and for me to make sure that we observe and we watch.

00:03:59--> 00:04:50

In this program, as I said, I will be your host brothers and sisters, and I will be joined every single day by a person who you do not need much of an introduction to his acumen and his profession. Originally, he was a medical doctor trained as a medical doctor. And once he told me that he considered himself to be a medical doctor, a doctor of the human body. Later, he explained to me that I became a doctor of the human soul. And this is obviously reference to the fact that called an and Cerner had entered his heart and he had felt the need to give down upon that. For the last 11 years My dear brothers and sisters, he has delivered over 1000 lectures on the international arena

00:04:50--> 00:04:59

on television, print based media, radio, and he is the author of many important books on the topic, comparative religion

00:05:00--> 00:05:29

Islam, his critical analysis and his ability to quote verbatim from many religious scriptures, the world over being all of the major religions in the world, my dear brothers and sisters is unparalleled. Therefore he is a resource for humanity. And I furthermore would suggest that without further ado, I should invite him to join us. Dr. Zakir Abdul Karim nyck

00:05:45--> 00:06:34

Dr. Zakir Is there any information that you need to impart to the viewers of peace TV before we start this long series of interviews in question and answer sessions regarding Ramadan? a date with Dr. Zakir Alhamdulillah wa salatu salam ala rasulillah Allah Allah was ibH Me and My bad. I also love him initially Tony regime Bismillah R Rahman Rahim, rubbish Marisa de recently Emily Weiler, Melissa and ef cocconi. Before we start this long series of episodes, on digital to market, I would like to make my position very clear that I consider myself to be a student of knowledge. I consider myself to be a talent, but I don't consider that I'm a scholar to you fatwas, left by some raised

00:06:34--> 00:07:15

concern. And as far as this topic on Ramadan, there are various issues. And there are various difference of opinions. As far as different scholars are concerned, as far as different schools of thought are concerned, since there are only four verses in the Quran dealing directly with Ramadan, that sort of Bukhara chapter two, verse 23, was the 184 was the 95 and was number 87. There are indirectly another few verses, but directly only four verses. So most of the rulings are based on the Hadith. And some scholars have used zafer the some of you have moderated some of you say Howdy. So as far as what I'll be answering, it will basically be the views of the free scholars, only, I'll

00:07:15--> 00:07:55

be selecting those scholars who I feel have quoted on the base of Quran and say Howdy. So, it may not agree with some of the viewers view, with the use of opinion should always be based on Quran and Hadith. When required, I may give the difference of opinion different scholars and named scholars If required, most of the times I may not need. But I'd like to make it very clear at the outset that all the answers as far as issues are concerned, none of them my own answers, there are basically some of the other scholars who have said it and I'll try my level best to name the scholars whenever required, so that no one feels that I'm trying to give my own opinion, but I always believe that the

00:07:55--> 00:08:13

answer should be based on Quran and Hadith. So that our time level best and inshallah as far as possible, whenever I could add it, I will try and give the references or the Some say Buhari is a Muslim, the volume number, every number, so that people can know check it up and as far as possible,

00:08:14--> 00:09:00

again, similarly with the Quran and that's my normal method of replies. So, that people whenever they get the answer, they get some authentic so stick around and say howdy and whatever right or good that comes out from the mouth will be from Allah subhanho wa Taala and whatever wrong and mistakes that come from a mouth will be from my side and from the side of the shaitaan. So, I seek refuge with Allah from sitting there. And I prayed to Allah subhanaw taala that made the series be beneficial for all of us, including the viewers in charming Zaha, now to the show. This show comprises of two separate parts. The first part will be a live interview between myself and Dr.

00:09:00--> 00:09:14

Zakir Naik regarding the topic, a chosen topic about Ramadan. And the second part will be your questions answered by Dr. Zakir Naik on the particular topic of the day, and hamdulillah.

00:09:15--> 00:09:47

Brothers and sisters, I'd like to review the list of topics that we will be discussing in Sharla over the next 32 days. And by the way, brothers and sisters you might be wondering why on earth we're covering 32 days. We strange No, we're not strange. In actual fact, we're so concerned about all the brothers and sisters all in different parts of the world. That of course that Ramadan occurs at slightly different days one day here and they're different. So we're covering all the world and all the Muslims in sha Allah, may Allah accept it from us inshallah.

00:09:48--> 00:09:59

Right. Without further ado, let's go through the list then brothers and sisters the first day. Topic number one, episode number one will be Let's welcome Ramadan. That's today.

00:10:01--> 00:10:13

The second episode, common errors committed by Muslims during Ramadan. The third, Introduction to Ramadan, the fourth, when is fasting obligatory and exempted.

Episode 24 of Ramadan, the month of self improvement and Islam part three, Episode 25 of Ramadan, the month of self improvement in Islam part four

00:11:59--> 00:12:32

Episode 26 dour to non Muslims in the month of Ramadan. Episode 27 is cada fasts fadia and cafardo fasts Episode 28 is sighting of the moon. Episode 29 is zakat. Al fitrah. Episode 30 is evil fit. And Episode 31 is voluntary fasts and prohibited fasts. And finally, last but not least, Episode 32

00:12:33--> 00:13:23

from this Ramadan until the next Dr. Zakir particularly what are your comments on the selection of these topics Alhamdulillah all the topics that we have discussed and have categorized and umbrella into different days, so that it will benefit the viewers knowing about the details of the month of Ramadan. And it will also help me in replying to the question they're going to pose to me, because many times some of the questions they will overlap. So I will see to it that I reply specifically on the day that the topic of us and I see to it that I will reply in detail on that specific date. And it's supposed to be mentioned earlier, then maybe I will just give a brief comment. But one point to

00:13:23--> 00:13:41

be noted is that most of these topics, I feel should be discussed much before the month of Ramadan starts. There may be few topics, which may be discussed a time of the year, for example, voluntary fast, these topics can be discussed

00:13:42--> 00:13:53

a time of the year, there are some topics like at the caf, and ultraguard we should be discussed just before the last 10 days, which we'll be doing inshallah. And some topics like

00:13:54--> 00:14:03

it will fit or should be discussed just before. But most of the topics that we'll be discussing, they should be discussed before I'm done.

00:14:05--> 00:14:07

For example, we will be discussing

00:14:08--> 00:14:42

if tar and suhu on the ad will be discussing things or acts that invalidate the first on the 15th. And we will be starting our fast the first deal from none. So it doesn't make sense. So actually, we should start much before at least three or four weeks before the month of Ramadan begins. But I do agree that the reason we are starting from day one from then is because more of Muslims watch

00:14:43--> 00:15:00

the Islamic programs in the month of Ramadan than on any other days. So the viewership in the month of Ramadan is much higher. So hamdulillah it's right that we're starting on day one, but it should be shown again maybe after a few months so that it is optimal.

00:15:00--> 00:15:45

For the next month, Mashallah? Well, all the topics, doctors seem to have been logically positioned and scientifically chosen by yourself. One thing I do appreciate, though, is that we've added in the first couple of topics, which are Let's welcome around with that. And so that's very logical that first day, everybody's very keen to, you know, go about Ramadan in the proper ways that would be that would be very beneficial for the viewers. And secondly, common errors which are committed by Muslims during this month, the second day. So first two days are health warnings if you like, yeah. hamdulillah. Now, let's go straight into the questions regarding the preparation. What did the

00:15:45--> 00:16:31

Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam do in order to welcome Ramadan? What was his preparation for Ramadan? That added to the admission in Cebu Hari, Rama number three book of fasting? How did number 1969, the wife of the prophet Elijah, Mallaby pizza, she says that the Prophet he never fasted any month completely, except the wonderful man and in no month did the fast as many days as He fasted in the month of Shaban. So from this hadith we come to know that Prophet Muhammad Salah salam, in order to welcome the month of Ramadan, he is to start his to prepare himself and fast more in the previous month, that is the month of Shabbat. That was his way, how is to prepare for the month of Ramadan.

00:16:31--> 00:17:21

And further if you read to say headed in Timothy, chapter number 50, added number 3451. We save that Allah, may Allah be pleased with him. He said on the 30th his father, that his father, that is his grandfather, he said, whenever the prophet SAW the new moon, used to always pray to Allah subhanaw taala and say, Oh Allah, bless us in this month, and if to mention the name of that man, and then say that please keep us steadfast in faith in this month. This was a way the profit always up to Allah subhanaw taala whenever he saw a new moon, it wasn't specifically only for the new moon of the month of Ramadan, but it was for all new moons whenever is to see. And his special way of welcoming

00:17:21--> 00:17:28

the month of Ramadan was that he used to mention about the coming off this blessed month to the people.

00:17:29--> 00:17:44

And it's mentioned in Muslim Ahmed ROM number two, page number two on rent it added number seven month for it. We promise Allah salam, His Will the people that all people this month is approaching you.

00:17:46--> 00:18:01

And Allah subhanho wa Taala has ordained for you that you fast in this month. And the gates of heaven will be opening this month and the gates of hell will be closed and the devil will be chained.

00:18:02--> 00:18:09

And in this month, there is a knight which is better than 1000 months.

00:18:10--> 00:18:17

And if anyone is deprived of Allah subhanaw taala blessing in this month, he is truly a deprived person.

00:18:18--> 00:18:53

So you have come to know that this is how prophet masala Sallam used to welcome this month and he used to tell the good news of the blessing month to come to all the people. Mashallah, the next question to you is, what should we do? When Ramadan approaches, the first thing we should do is we should thank Allah subhanaw taala for making us witness this blessed month of Ramadan once again. And we have to thank him for his mercy. And we have to ask forgiveness in this month, so that all our previous lives will be forgiven.

00:18:55--> 00:19:18

And we have to thank him for all the Namath he has given us all the blessings, all the love, this is the best month and Allah subhanaw taala says in the Quran in surah baqarah chapter number two verse number 185. It says shall Rosana Lizzy una de la fille Quran Hotel in US

00:19:20--> 00:19:21

bobina Tim

00:19:23--> 00:19:23

Miller

00:19:24--> 00:19:31

which means that Ramadan is the month in which the Quran was revealed as a guidance for mankind

00:19:32--> 00:19:39

and signs for guidance and judgment between right and wrong.

00:19:40--> 00:19:54

And Allah for this isn't around in Surah Baqarah chapter number two was the 183 Allah says yeah, you have less in common. Oh you believe the lake museum. Come up with a BA Ll genomen publikum.

00:19:55--> 00:20:00

Look into Tikun or you believe fasting was prescribed to

00:20:00--> 00:20:05

You as it was prescribed to people who came before you, so that you may learn

00:20:06--> 00:20:07

self restraint.

00:20:08--> 00:20:10

The word used here is that the cone

00:20:11--> 00:21:00

similar to taqwa so that you learn God consciousness, so that you learned it, so that you learn righteousness. So this is the month in which a person can become more righteous. This is the time when a taqwa can be the highest. And this is a month, it is an annual training. It is a sort of an overhauling of the body. How we have that every machinery requires some sort of servicing maybe every three months, maybe every year. And if you allow me to call the human beings as the best machinery in the world, doesn't it require a servicing or overhauling ceramidin is an annual overhauling of the human body. It is a spiritual and moral training for the human being,

00:21:02--> 00:21:14

and into the purification of the body, mind and soul. This is the month where we can increase our power, we can increase our patients, and we can derive the benefits and the guidance from

00:21:17--> 00:21:17

just a

00:21:18--> 00:21:29

beautiful answer. Next question, what's your particular words of advice regarding the on the occasion of Ramadan, approaching us?

00:21:30--> 00:21:57

My advice would be that every Muslim, he or she should make it a point that they should make a resolution that they should fast each and every day of the month of Ramadan. And we should try and acquire all the benefits of this month. And we should not waste a single minute in this segment on things which are evil, and try and concentrate as much as possible. In remembering Allah subhanho wa Taala

00:21:58--> 00:22:02

we should try and look for his mercy. We have to try and ask for forgiveness.

00:22:03--> 00:22:11

We have to try and seek for his love. And we have to try and increase our piety, our righteousness and our patients.

00:22:12--> 00:22:14

And our beloved prophet of Muslims.

00:22:16--> 00:22:27

In say Buhari, we're number three, in the book of fasting. Number 1903, our beloved prophet masala Salaam, anyone who does not leave

00:22:28--> 00:22:31

the force action and for speech,

00:22:32--> 00:22:58

Allah subhanho wa Taala does not care if he leaves his eating and drinking. That means if a person does not abstain from false action and false speech, alas, vanadyl does not care if you abstain from food and drink. That means your fasting will not be accepted, unless you stay away from false action and for speech

00:22:59--> 00:23:03

and a beloved prophet masala sallam. He also said it's mentioned Saturday,

00:23:05--> 00:23:26

which is written in Muslim amad ROM number two, Page Number 230 added number 714 it and it also appears in sooner Nephi chapter number 500 number 2106 where our beloved prophet masala Salim said, all people,

00:23:27--> 00:23:29

the blessing of Ramadan is approaching.

00:23:31--> 00:23:35

And Allah has ordained for you that you fast in this month.

00:23:37--> 00:23:46

And the gates of heaven will be open in this month and the gates of hell will be closed and the devils they will be chained

00:23:48--> 00:23:49

in this month is the night

00:23:50--> 00:23:52

which is better than 1000 months.

00:23:54--> 00:24:04

And if a person is deprived of the blessings in this month, he is truly a deprived person. So we have to make it a point that we gain the benefits of this segment.

00:24:07--> 00:24:13

A Beloved Prophet masala Some said as mentioned say Buhari 123. In the book of fasting

00:24:14--> 00:24:16

I did number 1901

00:24:17--> 00:24:19

our beloved prophet masala Some said

00:24:20--> 00:24:24

that anyone who fasts in this month

00:24:26--> 00:24:31

with faith, seeking that award of Allah subhanho wa Taala all his past sins will be forgiven.

00:24:33--> 00:24:50

That means if we truly with sincerity, fast in this month, and feed that word of Allah subhanaw taala all our past sins will be forgiven. Imagine it is such an easy way to have our sins forgiven of the past. And our beloved prophet masala samosa said is mentioned say body

00:24:51--> 00:24:59

worn number three in the book of fasting, and it number 1904. This is a very long winded, which has basically four points. Our beloved prophet

00:25:00--> 00:25:11

Muscle have some said that all the children of Adam, all the deeds that they do are for themselves, except for fasting. Fasting is for me, and I will reward him.

00:25:13--> 00:25:17

And he further said that fasting is a shield.

00:25:18--> 00:25:19

It prevents you from sin.

00:25:21--> 00:25:32

And the person who observed the first he should abstain from obscenity, from yelling, and from ignorance. And if someone yells at him,

00:25:33--> 00:25:37

or abuses him, he should say, I'm fasting and fasting.

00:25:38--> 00:25:56

And the third point, our beloved Prophet said in this additive, that I swear by Allah, in whose hand is the soul of Mohammed Salah that the breath of a faster the person who fast is sweeter to Allah subhanho wa Taala, than the scent of musk.

00:25:57--> 00:26:10

And he finally said that there are two things when a foster is happy and looks forward to it. The first is when he breaks the first and the second is when he meets the Lord at last minute.

00:26:11--> 00:26:13

And further, as mentioned, the Quran

00:26:14--> 00:26:20

is renewed, chapter number 24 was the Metatron says, or you believe,

00:26:21--> 00:26:24

truly have faith in Allah subhanho wa Taala

00:26:25--> 00:26:32

and seek the bliss. That means try and enter Jannah as mentioned to the arc of chapter 46,

00:26:33--> 00:26:41

verse number 1314, that those are the people who worship none but Allah subhanho wa Taala.

00:26:42--> 00:26:47

And they are steadfast in faith, the word is to come.

00:26:49--> 00:27:03

They're steadfast in faith, that there's only one Allah, no one else. And they shall not have any fear, nor that a grief. These are the people who are the people of Paradise, and they shall be rewarded for all the goods they have done.

00:27:05--> 00:27:37

So this is advice for the people that they should take the best of this month and should not spend time on trivial things and spend the time in the worship of Allah and roaming Allah subhanaw taala and asking forgiveness. My next question is, you've alluded to that in some of the beautiful Hadees you've mentioned just now, but what specific reason is it that Ramadan is called the month of forgiveness or is known as the month of Yes, as I rightly mentioned earlier, that our beloved prophet masala Some said

00:27:38--> 00:27:50

it's an audit of say Buhari, Romney metry book of fasting, how did number 1901 our beloved prophet masala Sodom said that if anyone farts in the month of Ramadan

00:27:51--> 00:28:02

with the proper intention with faith and asking for the word of Allah subhanho wa Taala, he will forgive all your persons. And this method is further repeated in the Muslim

00:28:04--> 00:28:13

world number three, I did number 11524 which mentioned that any person who fasts in the month of Ramadan

00:28:15--> 00:28:18

with the proper intention, seeking the reward of Allah subhanho wa Taala

00:28:20--> 00:28:24

he will have all his previous sins atoned.

00:28:25--> 00:28:28

And further mentioned in say Muslim

00:28:30--> 00:28:36

boy number one, Hadith number 450. A Beloved Prophet mo Salah Sallam said

00:28:37--> 00:28:40

that the time between the five prayers

00:28:41--> 00:28:51

and the two jamas and from one drum down to the other is the time for expansion of your sins. There is a time where you can have all your sins forgiven.

00:28:52--> 00:28:54

And a beloved prophet muscle as a muscle said

00:28:55--> 00:29:36

as mentioned a Muslim woman number four in the book of taba ID, number 6644. A Beloved Prophet Muslim said that Allah subhanaw taala. At nighttime, a person who asked for forgiveness, He forgive the sin for the sin has committed to the day and the last webinar what Allah in the daytime, if forgive the sin for a person was forgiveness for the seniors committed night. So this is the best month of forgiveness, the month of Ramadan, where you can easily have your sins forgiven, because the gates of heaven open and the gates of hell are closed. Therefore it's called the month of forgiveness.

00:29:37--> 00:29:43

No wonder everybody wants to be active in that month. Now we know why. So fun Allah, Nagasaki.

00:29:45--> 00:30:00

Are there any particular activities a Muslim should concentrate upon during this last month of Ramadan and of course we should relate to you the importance of the fact that our viewers really can gain massive value

00:30:00--> 00:30:42

benefit by knowing specific activities they can get involved in and they can start planning the Ramadan. Now, yes, I believe that this is a very good question, because most of the activities will be dealing as time goes on in the episode, but just to give a brief outline, I will just specify a few important because the whole answer will take very long. The few important points that will be noted is that, number one, it is the near the near very important, the Nia of fasting should only be for Allah subhanho wa Taala. And for a fasting to be accepted the near as important. So making the near very important, without which the first thing will not be accepted. Number two is observing the

00:30:42--> 00:30:44

sooner of the past

00:30:45--> 00:30:55

that we'll be dealing in detail in the next few days. But just a point to be noted that one of the important sooner is that we should have her

00:30:56--> 00:31:07

as late as possible. That is just before the break of dawn just before the Salah, and we should break our fast habits as early as possible immediately after sunset.

00:31:08--> 00:31:13

For the moon in this past month, we should be careful and

00:31:14--> 00:31:53

we should avoid all things which are prohibited which are haram and all things which are mcru. And this is the best opportunity where a person if he has certain activities, which are hitting the Sharia, but they're doing haram activities or mucker activities, this is the best time he can learn from it. And that would be a good habit which inshallah Epstein may be told in life. For example, if a person is habituated to drinking alcohol, if you can abstain from having alcohol, from the break of dawn to sunset, he can abstain from it from the cradle to the grave.

00:31:54--> 00:31:59

Similarly, we should take care that we should abstain from things which are macro.

00:32:01--> 00:32:33

For example, it is makrooh to stand and drink water. And if we have to do that, so see to it that in the month of Ramadan, or having water we should sit down. This is the son of the Prophet. So it's a good month in which you can abstain from haram activities, which you have been doing maybe some of them are the mocker activities. Furthermore, it's a good time, where you can implement many of the Sunnah of the prophet in a digital life. For example, maybe sporting a beard

00:32:35--> 00:32:39

minimus invulnerable beard, so it's a good one to where you can follow the Sunnah of the Prophet,

00:32:40--> 00:32:54

the son of the Prophet about the hours of when you enter the home, when you leave the toilet, the door that is there when you're traveling in a vehicle, Savonarola disciplina has a mocha nano cleaning winner.

00:32:55--> 00:33:01

So, this is a good month in which you can adopt as much as soon as possible. So that we can be on straight path.

00:33:02--> 00:33:15

This is a very good month, we should see to it that you should offer the Salah, not only the five times Salah, which is the fourth even try and offer as meaning of our film and some

00:33:16--> 00:33:23

and if you're not habituated to reading in congregation see to the arena congregation and at first possible go to the mosque for the Salah.

00:33:24--> 00:33:50

In this month, we should be particular that we will not miss the taraweeh many people think and it is a fact that is a Sunnah, but many people think that because it is a so now we can Mr. Ravi Ravi is a very important son. There's not a fund. But every Muslim should make it a point that as far as possible, they should attend taraweeh because the blessing that has so to have is very important which Muslims should never miss.

00:33:51--> 00:34:10

And when we have a travi many of us we rushed through Dharavi because we want to complete the Quran. And many of them read the Torah 100 miles per hour, we should read the travi with patience at a moderate pace. so that people can understand what is the command of Allah subhanaw taala.

00:34:12--> 00:34:25

And that if time permits, and if possible, we should try and do at the caf in the last 10 days. And while doing it the caf make it a point that you don't socialize, many will make a mistake of socializing during Attica load popular ethic after defeated

00:34:27--> 00:34:32

Furthermore, we should do both wine this month, which remote applications This is the month of Dawa

00:34:34--> 00:34:34

and

00:34:35--> 00:34:42

we should do musika spend time in remembering Allah subhanaw taala and also worshiping Him.

00:34:43--> 00:34:50

This is the month in which we should try and read as much as Quran as possible. Besides reciting the Quran Arabic

00:34:51--> 00:35:00

If you know Arabic as a language, then there's no problem. But if you don't know then also read the translation of the Quran in the language when

00:35:00--> 00:35:15

Understand the best if you understand English it in English, in French in order in order to read in the language understand the best, but while reciting the Quran for which we get a follow up, also read the translation of the Quran, so that you can implement on the guidance of Allah subhanaw taala.

00:35:16--> 00:35:22

If possible, read the Quran once in every seven days, or at least read

00:35:24--> 00:35:36

one just everyday so that you complete the Quran at least once in the full month of Ramadan. In this month, try and read as much as possible. But see to it that you read the authentic hadith.

00:35:37--> 00:35:40

And the best book on audit is the book of

00:35:41--> 00:35:51

sale Buhari, then it's a Muslim, you can read the other codable set also, but it authentic books on the read books on the lifestyle and deceit of the Prophet himself.

00:35:53--> 00:36:00

See to it, that if you have not given the socket, please give them a card which is an obligate to charity.

00:36:01--> 00:36:26

And every rich person with a savings of more than the nisab level more than 85 grams of gold, he or she should give 2.5% of his saving every Luna in charity that has occurred. And many people do not calculate the Zakat properly to make it a point that you calculate the Zakat honestly. And it is better to give a little bit more rather than to give less.

00:36:27--> 00:36:40

So calculated properly and see to it that to give you a socket. And this Ramadan is the month of generosity, it's a month of psutka and you get 10 times more reward for good deeds. So this is the month we should maximum charity.

00:36:42--> 00:36:53

And besides that, we should make it a point that during this month, we should be cheerful. Many of the Muslims, they look dull, they look gloomy, we should be cheerful and happy.

00:36:55--> 00:37:04

And we should give more time to our family. When a time we neglect our family. You see to that we give more time to our family and do all these activities collectively.

00:37:05--> 00:37:12

We should also have to look to the people around you. That means we should deal with the other human beings

00:37:13--> 00:37:16

with mercy with love with care

00:37:17--> 00:37:23

if they've done some mistakes or forgive them this amount of forgiveness. If we have done something wrong to them, ask for forgiveness.

00:37:24--> 00:37:26

Live with the people around you with love care

00:37:28--> 00:37:28

and with affection.

00:37:30--> 00:37:34

We should too difficult. That means ponder

00:37:35--> 00:37:39

on the things seated that you plan your month of Ramadan,

00:37:40--> 00:37:48

plan it properly and see to it that did not waste not even a minute not even a second. This is a month of cleaning.

00:37:49--> 00:37:53

And this month is the best month for self improvement also.

00:37:55--> 00:37:58

And besides that should also make it a point to do Islam

00:38:00--> 00:38:01

with other Muslim brothers and sisters.

00:38:03--> 00:38:08

It's also the best month to Dawa that is conveyed the mystery of Islam to the non Muslims

00:38:09--> 00:38:16

submit request of the brothers and sisters that plan your month efficiently and see to it that utilize every second of the month.

00:38:18--> 00:38:51

So Dr. Zakat, Ramadan is a month of opportunities. It's a month of bless it opportunities. What are the conditions that a person needs to have these deeds accepted by Allah subhanho wa Taala the basic two conditions are number one is the intention. It should only be for last Hannah Atal and Nunez whatever did you do? It should only be for Allah subhanho wa Taala and this is very important. If this condition is not met, then all your deeds are wasted.

00:38:52--> 00:38:56

And then last month, Allah says in the Quran in Serbian Chapman he

00:38:57--> 00:38:58

was number five.

00:38:59--> 00:39:01

It says that

00:39:02--> 00:39:05

you wish none but Allah subhanho wa Taala

00:39:06--> 00:39:09

and you do it only for him. And for one is

00:39:11--> 00:39:12

it a further dimension

00:39:14--> 00:39:14

in

00:39:15--> 00:39:18

chapter number 76 was number nine. It says

00:39:19--> 00:40:00

that we have fed you for the sake of Allah subhanaw taala for the pleasure of Allah subhanaw taala we do not require any reward from you, nor do we require any returns. That means if you feed someone is for the sake of Allah subhanaw taala not seeking that award or not seeking anything in return. This is a very important factor that we should not all your actions should be for the sake of Allah subhanaw taala that's a very important factor. And further as mentioned in the Quran, in Surah chapter 42 muslimah 20 that if you do a deed, for the tilt for the reward in the Hereafter, Allah subhana wa Taala will multiply your reward your tilt in

00:40:00--> 00:40:10

They are after. And if you do a deed or any action for a reward in this world, Allah will give you the reward in default, but you'll have no share in the hereafter.

00:40:11--> 00:40:13

Allah repeated message in

00:40:15--> 00:40:15

chapter 11

00:40:16--> 00:40:36

verse 15, and 16, that anyone who seeks the reward in this world, or does any deed for this world, and for the glitter of this world, Allah subhanho wa Taala will surely give him in this world, but he will have no share in the Hereafter, except fire, except

00:40:38--> 00:40:40

and all his deeds

00:40:41--> 00:40:50

will not be useful in the hereafter. So therefore, what do we do should be for last minute Allah and the second telephone Islam

00:40:52--> 00:40:57

Hello Kumar millo. Peter, Tim, its mission say body wine number one

00:40:58--> 00:41:01

number one ultimatum and love up for him. He said

00:41:02--> 00:41:12

that the Beloved Prophet Muslim said in Albania, which means your deeds are judged on your intention.

00:41:13--> 00:41:15

And the Prophet further said that

00:41:16--> 00:41:21

all your actions are based on your intention and anyone who has migrated

00:41:22--> 00:41:38

for a line of Russell, he has migrated four languages, if anyone has been hegira migrated, for the worldly benefits of marriage has migrated for the worldly benefits and marriage. So Nia, very important. And this is for the repeated

00:41:39--> 00:42:26

the name of the audit in say Muslim, more number 400 number 7114. It says that our beloved prophet Muslim said that Allah subhanaw taala says that I am alone sufficient are not required any associate and if anyone does any deed for anyone else, as well as for me, I renounce that for the person who hears associated, that means you can't do part of the deed for law and part for someone else. You have to do completely for the sake of Allah subhanho wa Taala only for him and no one else, Allah does not like anyone associated anything with him, just that important. So this is the basic point that is the near.

00:42:27--> 00:42:41

The second point to be noted for a deed to be acceptable is that our deeds should be based on the Sharia. It should be in accordance to align in accordance to the teachings of the Quran, and teachings of a beloved prophet masala.

00:42:43--> 00:42:48

It's mentioned st Muslim We're number 300 number four to six seven

00:42:50--> 00:43:08

we our beloved prophet masala Salim said that if your deeds and actions are not according to our way, uphold original Islam according to Quran and say added then that is rejected. That me for a dish to be accepted. It should be according to Quran sad.

00:43:10--> 00:43:14

And it's also mentioned in undecided of episode

00:43:16--> 00:43:20

one number three, added number 4950

00:43:21--> 00:43:22

a beloved prophet Massaro Salim said

00:43:24--> 00:44:11

that he told the people that follow my example, and the example of ferocity that's the rightly guided caliphs. So if you follow them, and cling to it with it, that means strongly follow it, the son of the Prophet mehsana The Prophet said that his son, his way, and the will of the Hellfire regime, that is rightly guided callous, so for a ditch to be accepted, and near should be only for Allah subhanaw taala and it should be according to the Sharia, Quran insha Allah, Allah have those answers now hamdulillah This is the part of the show as we promised that if time permitting, we had time to receive some of your questions relating to the topic, we will do so and we do have a little

00:44:11--> 00:44:36

bit of time. So Dr. Zakir, why is it that Ramadan specifically is put on its own in terms of it being welcomed, what about other months like Hajj, the month of Hajj, etc. The reason we Muslims welcome the month of Ramadan, all the months in the year a good umbrella, but the reason we specifically welcome the month of Ramadan because Ramadan is the month of forgiveness.

00:44:37--> 00:44:45

It is a month where I mentioned earlier, our beloved prophet masala Salaam said that the dose of heaven really opened

00:44:47--> 00:44:53

the gates of hell will be closed and the devils will be chained. So because of this reason.

00:44:55--> 00:44:59

This month is welcome. And whatever deed we do, it will be multiplied

00:45:00--> 00:45:44

10 times the reward that we get for every deed in this month is 10 times more because of this, and whatever we ask for forgiveness, as a beloved Prophet said that if we fast for the full month of Ramadan, with the true intention and with proper faith, asking reward from Allah subhanho wa Taala all our pastors will forget forgiven mission say Buhari, woman number three, Book of fasting and eat number 1012 because of this purpose, this month is welcomed so that we look forward for our sins to be forgiven, and for our deeds to be multiplied our good deeds to be multiplied. That is the reason specifically we Muslim. We welcome this month of Ramadan. Mashallah, next question of quite equal

00:45:44--> 00:45:57

importance actually, is about how people welcomed Ramadan with certain sayings of Ramadan Mubarak. Some people say it's a bitter and others say it's a Sunnah. What is your ruling on this?

00:45:59--> 00:46:15

To welcome month is good Angela. And our Prophet always informed the other people about this month and as I mentioned earlier, that a beloved partner masala Salaam, it's mentioned in Muslim Ahmed Ron number two, page number 230.

00:46:17--> 00:46:36

Added number 7148 which is also repeated dimension in Sunnyside, chapter number 500. Number 2106. That our beloved performance lesson is to always tell the people when the month is to approach when it is to come. The prophet will tell the people in advance or people

00:46:37--> 00:46:40

the blessing month of Ramadan is approaching you.

00:46:41--> 00:47:27

And Allah subhanaw taala has ordained for you that you fast in this month. So the Prophet used to welcome this man. He used to wish other people the same way today. If you wish as the Prophet said the blessing month is approaching. If someone says Ramadan Mubarak, this Ramadan Mubarak is more often said in the Indian subcontinent. But Indians by the Pakistanis because this word Mubarak, the burqa is an Arabic word. Baraka means blessing, and it does nothing but present month. But when the Indians and Pakistanis when they use the word Mubarak, it is more of a sort of congratulation. When someone passes examination, this Mubarak would you draft from Arabic word Baraka. So when Ramadan

00:47:27--> 00:48:08

comes, they wish amanbo Bara saying that it is a blessing month, or a sort of congratulating and wishing each other that the blessing month is approaching. So Hanuman is not a better you can work among it's a good thing that we're calling this month of discernment, and you're informing other people, reminding them that in this month is a lot of blessing. So for me it's not a Buddha, but how you wish the words you choose that is Baba, that's optional. Like in Indian subcontinent, we use the word from bamboo bar in the Gulf countries, the Euro man cream. So all these words are good, the holy month or the blessed month or the month of forgiveness. So the choice of words is yours, but

00:48:08--> 00:48:20

the Prophet muscles are solemn. He used to say to the people that owe people the blessed month of Ramadan is approaching. So I feel people should wish each other and they should remind each other about

00:48:21--> 00:48:55

Masha Allah, Allah Hi, Dr. Zakir Naik, that brings an end to the questions unfortunately we don't have more time. Otherwise you can answer so many others that we've received an email from our views PCV brothers and sisters Jazakallah here it's been an absolute pleasure. Listening to Dr. Zakir likes answers. Today on let's welcome Ramadan. Tomorrow we'll be discussing common errors which are made by Muslims during the month of Ramadan. So I hope you'll join us then as salaam alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh
