Know Your Creator

brothers and sisters, is indeed an honor to be in your company today and ask Allah subhanho wa Taala as he has gathered us all here today together as again in the company of the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam genital filters. The topic of my short lecture will be no your creative. I think one of the most problematic areas that Muslim youth anywhere in the world find is that the parents and the elders and community at large will tell them, You should perform your sauna, you should wear your hijab, you should do this, you should do that. But for most of us having grown up in Muslim homes, we have not yet been connected with a loss of Hannah hautala. We don't yet know who

he is, why do we pray five times a day? Why should we fast during the month of Ramadan? And so for many of us growing up, this is a question that we ask ourselves all the time. And then we always ponder, and we look at those who've accepted Islam. And I'm sure you have many things that you know, you could mention. And you asked yourself, Why are they so eager to practice Islam? Why are they the first in the masjid? Why are they the first ones to do acts of kindness and good. So what we need to remind ourselves for those of us that have been born into Muslim homes, is who is Allah subhana wa Tada. And I think for most for many of us, especially those who grew up in homes in which Allah

subhanho data was never mentioned. One of my closest friends, he grew up his parents are both atheists, they both they don't believe in a law, they don't believe that they were created, they have different theories about where they come from, but both of them do not agree or both of them do not believe I should say in a loss of a Hannah horadada. There is the question that Allah subhana wa, tada poses to me and you, have we created ourselves, or have we been created from nothing? And the logical answer to that is no, if I told you that my mobile phone Yeah, I just came about it just came about by itself. We just came into this wall, we walked to this podium, and we found this mobile phone layer, it did not have a creator did not have a designer, it did not have anyone that put it together. I'm sure if I told all of all of you that, you'd say, well, that's South African is crazy. That's exactly what you tell me. If I told you that this mobile phone just

came out of nothing. And the question The next question is on the US is, as it created itself, have you created yourself, I can tell you, if I created myself, I would have created myself with more hair. Right? That's how I would have created myself with no hair. We all would have changed things in our lives, in our physique in our physical appearance, the amount of money that we have, what we we we go What kind of car that we drive, we will change so many things. Allah asked the next question, have they created the heavens and the earth? So in this argument, Allah subhanho wa Taala is bringing our attention to creation, that the fact that everything has a creator, everything has

something that is bought into existence, how then do you deny the existence of a loss of data? Now someone might say, well, then who created a law? That could that's the next logical question, but ask yourself, if that was to continue for infinity with the EBI are beginning to anything. A simple example, if I told you, that for me to stand here, I needed to ask permission from someone else.

That person needed to ask permission from someone else. And so it went on for infinity would, would I ever be able to stand here and deliver this lecture? And the answer to that is no. That's a logical and logical argument. when I'm studying, you know, gravity, when I'm studying these knows, it is not so that I reprove, as many scientists today, you know, set out to prove that God doesn't exist, but rather, we find that the scientists of the of the past for them the study of science was meant to show the existence of a loss of data was to show that the ease at agent because this kind of perfection could not have come about on its own. And Allah subhanaw taala says, look at the day and the night and look how they change, you get the winds that blow look at the ships on the ocean, and how they sail that they don't see. you find. A few days ago, I was teaching an Islamic Studies class at my school. And we were talking about this exact same topic Subhana Allah and I told him I want you to think about the mulberry tree. It is this tree that you know has these green leaves with these black and red you know berries from that very tree, the silkworm is the leaves, then it you know sells its cocoon. And then obviously from that we get our soap from that same three the must deer eats. And from those same leaves, it produces must and you and I we eat from the berries, and we enjoy the taste, we enjoy the flavor. And Allah subhanho wa Taala from one just one plant, Allah subhanho wa Taala has brought

about all of this good, all of these amazing products, all of these amazing benefits just from one T. That's only one t What about everything else that he has visited? So we need to ponder about this. One of the reasons why atheism has played in the world today is because we are disconnected from we are disconnected from nature, we see a show of hands, when was the last time you went on a hike up in the mountains or in the forest in the jungles. Let me see a show of hands please.

When is the last time you went to the ocean?

When was the last time that you you know you just admired an animal? In class I showed my students a joke which brings me to my third point

that Allah subhana wa Taala speaks about a time when he created all of his creation, all of you know man and God and he said unless to be around people, am I not you load? Am I not to Boston? And we all say Bella without a doubt. It is as you say, Oh Allah. So that is all the fit for a meeting our natural inclination. Have you noticed? You know, as Winston Churchill says that there are no atheists on the battlefield? Why is that self? Why is it that on the battlefield, there are no atheists, all of a sudden people will say, Oh, my God helped me. Why would they do that? When if you had asked him before the battle, do you believe in God? Now I don't believe in God. Why is it that

in times of great difficulty returned back to Allah subhanho wa Taala. It is because we have been created to believe in him. Think of this example.

The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that every

single child is born upon the fitrah being born on this natural inclination to worship and believe in Allah. Forever. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, we don't need to, you know, see Ronnie here.

But it is the parents of this newborn child that causes this child to grow up as a Jew or a Christian or an Asian.

Think about that for a moment. And I want you to think about this example of the Joey, you all are familiar with kangaroos, and a baby kangaroo when it is born. As it moves away from the place of birth, it slowly crawls up the firm, of its mother against the force of gravity without having any eyesight, any URI is able to climb up, find its way into the pouch of its mother find its way to one of the teeth or nipples of its mother and start drinking. Now, I asked you the question, Who taught an animal this small?

Who taught it to find its way from the there were no directions, there was no, there wasn't the mother because he can't hear his mother. He cannot see how he's supposed to get there. But yet he finds his way and finds his way to food and to warm and to comfort. That is

the ability of that animal to find its way even though it has never been taught. It has never been, it has never been educated. And so we are like that. You will find yourself in your most darkest days and nights when you have no one to turn to. Whether you call it God, whether you call it Jesus, you will find that person even though they claim that they were atheists or agnostic, you will find that person turns to something, something that they can't explain. I would argue that what they can't explain is that belief in Allah subhanho wa Taala.

The fourth way in which the Quran and the Sunnah brings to us makes it very clear who Allah subhana wa Taala is and that we should believe in him is that Allah subhana wa tada has sent down to us or sent to us prophets, and he has his books. And if we look at these profits, when we look at them, or know Noah, or Ibrahim, Abraham or any of these prophets, we find people that even though the people rejected them, as the brother resizes, very beautifully Mashallah

Ibrahim Ali, he said of Abraham, when he came to his people to give the Dharma.

What happened was that these people said, you know that, how can you pull us away from the worship of our idols? And so he started arguing and debating with them. And he pointed to the sun and the stars in the moon. And he says, Look at these things. Maybe this is my master, this is my Lord. But when they disappeared, he said, well, that cannot be my Lord. Because it is fleeting, it is temporary. And he wasn't, it is not because he believed that they were truly his gods, he was debating this issue with them. He wanted them to realize for themselves, that these are not your guides. These are not your loads. But the point I want to make here is that he brought him on he

said, Why would he call people to Islam? When everyone rejected him, his own father rejected him, his own father and what had nothing to do with him? Why would people do that when they are not being paid? It is very difficult to understand this and the prophets of the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is a very good example of this. Why would he call people to Allah, when he's boycotted? When he's mocked in the streets, when he is, you know, you Millie ated in front of the people, even when he's pulling them, they are calling him a madman a liar. You know that this is not this doesn't make sense. Because if he's calling to something, and it's for a personal reason, it

means that there's some benefit for him. But there's no benefit for him. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, when he passed away, he owned absolutely nothing except for a few things, just a few things. So he wasn't calling people to Allah and to believe in Allah and to worship Him alone, because it benefited him sobre la vida, he was selling them. So we have to ask ourselves, why would he call them the next thing that we need to focus on is the verticals of these prophets, Jesus as He was able to touch people that had been afflicted with various diseases, even blind, the blind, he would touch them and they would see even the dead he would touch them and they will come alive. And

these are the miracles that he would do. He would take these clay, you know, models of birds and he would blow on them, and they would become real birds. And the people were amazed at this. They some people believed in him, others accused him of being an imposter. And then lastly, the books that Allah subhanho wa Taala revealed and the Quran

when you when you when you listen to that recitation, what do you think about that?

He's a blind Canadian. You know, he was he was giving a lecture like I'm doing now. And he started reciting

wow, that's what he says. He said, Wow,

that is not the end. But it is recited.

That is something I've never experienced before.

you can read a book, but reciting a book, that's only in its recitation, we will look at its meanings, and the grammar, and the syntax, and all of these things that some of us are not really familiar with. But with the deeper we go into this ocean of the Quran, the more we realize that it is a miracle, that it is something truly amazing. And that is why when most women are male, they love it when he went to Medina, and he was inviting people to Islam. What was he telling them? You know, Islam, Alhamdulillah has a very good, you know, social program, it, you know, takes care of the poor. No, that is not how he invited people to Islam. The only thing he did was read from the

book of Allah. And one day, he was reading the book of Allah to someone, one of the leaders of the tribes of Medina. And the person that was with him was looking at the face of this man who was not yet a Muslim. And as the facade was being recited, he said, I could see the Islam on his face before he says he wanted to be a Muslim. And all he heard was the recitation of the time.

And so these four points, my dear brothers and sisters, if we found out about them, and this short lecture is not enough, it's not enough time for us to look at each and every one of these points in great detail. I only wish to encourage you no thinking. And for us to take this further, you told us that we need to ponder about the creation of Allah and the detail and the signs in that creation. We need to look at our feet, look at our natural inclination, look at where your heart is, during the times of difficulty. Look at where your heart is, when you find that there is no other way out. Who do you turn to? And why do you turn to Him Subhanahu wa Tada. And they look at the lives of the

prophets. Look at the books that Allah has revealed. ponder about them, think about them, and inshallah with Allah, they will begin to, you know, sort of open these these doors and these avenues for us, because our most difficult thing that we deal with now is that we cannot understand why we are Muslims. That is our biggest problem in the Muslim world. You know, what Subhanallah look at the month of Ramadan. Look at this gathering here. I'm sure that if we call this gathering two weeks ago, we might not have found the numbers that we find now is that the amount of people I see in front of me now May Allah subhanho wa Taala reward each and every one of you. But two weeks ago, if

we said that at six or 630, we were going to have a lecture and the question and answer session, we might not have found those people. Where does that come from? That is an EMR that each and every one of us has in our hearts, it's there. It's that little sea that wants to grow. And so we hope in sha Allah, Allah that these type of discussions, these types of gatherings will allow the seeds to grow. I want to share a story with you in sha Allah. And I am seeing a sign that says time time up, but I need to share this with you so we can understand where we are and where we need to go.

If you find a person that comes to the masjid, in Ramadan, and this is the first time maybe you are a person who's regular at the masjid, and this is the first time that you see this person in the budget for the entire year. How would you react to that person?

You might say, hon Allah, you know, what's wrong with this person? You know is this person was ashamed of him or herself? Why would they only come to the mercy is Ramadan.

And I want to share with you something and I want to advise you that that is the wrong attitude to have.

It is not mine and your responsibility to chase that person away and to take that person further away from Allah subhanho wa Taala but it is our responsibility to bring that person closer to the deen of Allah to encourage

That person to say, well no he brother I'm so proud of you. May Allah subhanho wa Taala increase you in your good and so we ask Allah subhana wa tada that he guides us to know Allah subhanho wa Taala to worship Him. There's so much more than I wanted to talk to you about. I want to each Allahu taala to go to sort of to call her.

When Allah subhanho wa Taala from verse nine onwards begins the story of Musa Allah His setup, and I just want to read one last verse, If I mean, and how Allah subhanho wa Taala introduces himself to Moses. Listen what Allah subhana wa Dionysus in any

thing is none worthy of worship accepts me. So worship Me and establish the play for my remembrance. We also got subhana wa tada to make us of those that will worship Him alone. That will worship him with every beat of our heart, with every bit that we take, may Allah subhanho wa tada make use of those that will establish the pray for his remembrance and everything that we do for his remembrance. And I and as I started, we thank Allah subhanho wa Taala for gathering us yesterday. We also lost our data again, together us in the company of the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam in the highest agenda.
