Look at us, we live in America, mashallah we live in the richest country in the world, we are probably collect we are collectively in the top one percentile of the world. Okay, we have very nice houses, you know, they're strong, the infrastructure is different here. We don't have to worry about

anything. Right? And then, of course, you know, a little bit of earthquake takes place in Irving. And then all of a sudden, now we're like, Well, what's going on here? What's happening? And you know what the last contact says, On the Day of Judgment when when the day of judgment starts to take place? sitting there thinking like, yeah, we've heard that one before, like a week ago. You know, this is this one is going to be the mother of all hurricanes. Okay, sure. Yeah, that's nice. You know, and then after Jim, I had the discussions, where are you going to leave? No, I don't know. If I'm gonna leave, I might just stick it out. You know, I'm sure. I'll just wait till it goes. Some of them, you know, said, Well, are you gonna go to this city or that city? You know, subhanAllah was a very interesting discussion. It was a very interesting safety. And believe it or not, we were as assured as you are sitting here today, that those minor 3.4 and 3.5 earthquakes aren't going to do anything

to your house.

Now, that feeling of safety is an unhealthy one. You're getting too comfortable. You're feeling too okay. To where you don't feel a sense of urgency. And when you don't feel that

sense of urgency, you're not rushing to the thicket of Allah subhanaw taala you're not rushing to the remembrance of Allah subhanaw taala And subhanAllah you know, I can tell you and you know, I see mashallah people here that witnessed Hurricane Katrina as well lost homes and so on, so forth. Look, you know, when we were sitting in the massages in Baton Rouge, and the evacuation shelters, and so on, so forth, watching those scenes of people, you know, being drowned in their homes and waiting on the roofs because the news cameras got there before relief aid got there.

And the police got there with their guns, before aid workers got there with food.

It was an unreal feeling. I personally had the experience of going back to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, the third day Subhanallah the third day, with under FEMA, wearing a FEMA batch using a cure at least Muslims for humanity, and so on so forth. And seeing dead bodies laying around in the city that I was born in, in a city that I grew up in a city that one week ago, I was playing basketball in or whatever it may be, I was having a good time just like everyone else. And Subhan Allah just like that. It looks like a warzone. One of the things that I'll never forget is that there was a relief worker Subhanallah, who was with us that day from Catholic Charities. And the

And I thought to myself, that's the problem. It looks like Iraq. It looks like Syria. It looks like Philistine, it looks like Pakistan, it looks like Indonesia. But here, we're safe. How do you know? How do you know what has assured you have your own fates and have your own safety in your own security? They said Why Allah is punishing the city, which would explain exactly why the poorest neighborhoods in New Orleans were flooded. And the French Quarter was fair. Some people worked in selling haram businesses. And when Katrina destroyed their businesses, some of them went back. And instead of taking it as a sign of Toba, they went and they got beer coolers and stood at the entrance of New Orleans Muslims and held signs that said Budweiser $5 Because there was a premium on beer at that time, and it was Muslims that were selling alcohol as people were driving back into northern selling it to the relief workers after Allah subhanaw taala out to wipe them
