30 in 30 Day 25 – Daily Quran Tafseer – Ramadan 2021

It is the seventh of may 2021. Sorry, I'm just trying to get this adjusted here. And so it's Friday, May 7 2021, it is the 25th day of the month of Ramadan for the calendar, the big calendar year of 1442. And tonight is the 26th night so we only have 26th night 27th night 28th night 29th night and the 30th night if we go into the 30th Okay, so we are very close to the end of this month of Ramadan. And I know that for a lot of people, it's either very happy to get to the end of the month of Ramadan or very sad to get to the end of the month of Ramadan. And then for some people, they're stuck in the middle, they're like, well, we kind of want a little bit more normalcy in our lives.

But we also kind of want the month of Ramadan and the blessings and everything to continue. And there's so many things that hamdulillah we've you know, we've been blessed with throughout this entire month of Ramadan, you know, from and I hate to say it but from food, you know, even though we're supposed to be restricting ourselves from food throughout the day, Allah Subhana Allah has blessed us with so much food throughout the evenings right throughout the night. So a blessing of food, the blessing of yo in addition to what we get from Allah subhanho wa Taala, right, like the rewards and the forgiveness and the additional amount of hasnat, you know, the shield from evil,

right?

Shawn being locked up and so on and so forth. You know, the month of Ramadan is a time where we feel at ease, right, the heart feels content, the mind is happy the body is at, you know, at a level of comfort to handling law. As much as we feel tired as much as we're exhausted as much as we feel like, you know, enough is enough in terms of, you know, not having regular sleep patterns or regular food or stuff like that, and hamdulillah what it reminds us is that there are people on earth that do not have any sort of what we would call normalcy in their lives, regardless of the time of the year regardless of the month regardless of the season. Regardless of the year, it just is the way it

is. And so we ask Allah subhana wa to Allah first and foremost, you know, to bless every single one of us with goodness and height and Baraka. And we ask Allah Subhana Allah Allah to make us from amongst those that are thankful and appreciate what he has blessed us with. I mean,

let's jump right into it sort of desert off. Verse number 11. Okay, sort of deserve verse number 11. And no, today is Friday. And because of the live stream on Fridays at Juma, you will notice that typically on Friday evenings, the live stream attendance is far less. Right. So for example, Mashallah the ESA just jumped on there. He was the first one to come in. We have a couple of people that are coming on now as well.

Visa and Zaid hamdulillah. We have, you know, a few people here. So we have like four there for there. And we have 12 over here. And it's usually like 50 or 60 over there and 30 on this side and another like 10 or 20 on there. So some kind of, you know, numbers are pretty low. And that's typical on a Friday because people are tired. And what you'll see is Friday, Saturday, Sunday, throughout the month of Ramadan, the numbers are usually a lot lower than the weekdays. And that's because people are enjoying if thought with family and friends but during the pandemic, we seen this shift, or the weekends are just like much every other day. So Al Hamdulillah let's jump right into

it. Like I said, verse number 11 1213 and 14 of sort of zakharov verse number 11, Allah subhanho wa Taala says, and he is the one who sends down rain from the sky in perfect measure with which we give life to a lifeless land and so will you be brought forth from the grave? Allah Subhana Allah tells us affirms that he's the one who brings the rain down. And then he mentions that the amount of rain that comes down is perfect and exact for what is needed according to the plan of Allah subhana wa

data. And so some people might think well wait a second, when the rain comes down, it's coming down too much. Right? It's a lot of rain.

As an example, I was just talking to my parents and I was telling my father, you know, I grew up watching and helping my father wash his car. And that's really where I got into it. And so I was telling my father, I said, you know, as a panel, I haven't washed the car in weeks, because it just keeps raining. It just keeps raining and raining and raining. He asked me, he says, How's the weather? Now? I said, there's a little bit of sunshine, but there's clouds and it's supposed to rain again tonight, and then it's supposed to rain tomorrow, and it's supposed to rain The next day, or actually, I think, in two days supposed to be sunny. And

so, you know, saying to him, like, the car just really needs a wash. He's like, so wash it. I'm like, Yeah, but it keeps raining. Like so what if it rains, a little rain? It's not gonna damage your car's not gonna like make it dirty. I said, Yeah, reaching that point, right now we're actually just need to wash it because my car is so dirty. And for those of you who know me, you know, when car is dirty, you're probably like, it's not dirty, but my car is super dirty. And those who don't know me, they probably think my car is covered in mud. But it's just, it's just not pleasant. Right? The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, you know, he said that as believers, we can enjoy a nice

ride, write a nice home a nice ride. You know, some of these things are things that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam mentioned the enjoy of this dunya. So

I'm thinking now with the verse that we're covering Allah Subhana, Allah is saying that he sends the amount of rain that is, you know, in perfect measure. And that's true. We need we need to have the amount of rain that Allah subhanaw taala is sending. So despite our cars getting a little dirty, and us being a little frustrated with the fact that we can't go out, well, that rain is going to provide food for us later in the year.

And so the rain is a blessing from a lot and a benefit. And who cares if our cars are a little bitty for some time? Who cares? I mean, not that Who cares? But like, It's okay. It's okay. If our cars get a little dirty, it's okay. If it's the outside, you know, and we're stuck at home during staying stay at home order. And there's a pandemic again, you know, we want to go out and exercise and stuff like that really, really, really, we're tired of being at home, we would go out even if it's raining,

right? in a state of desperation, people will do whatever it takes. So we would open up the umbrella and hold the umbrella and go outside in the rain. in a state of desperation, we would do that. So we are sitting inside the comfort of our home saying oh, you know, it's so hard it's raining outside. We want to go out yes, we want to and I'm guilty of complaining about that as well. But if we really wanted to go out there'd be nothing stopping us not even the rain.

So we learned from that is that we're a little spoiled. We could be a lot spoiled. But we're a little spoiled at least right? So here are some Henry Tyler says he sends down rain from the sky in pre measure and then he says

So now the rain is falling Alhamdulillah you're starting to see the buds come out you're seeing the flowers on the trees are seeing the flowers growing on the ground. I hope you're keeping well and keeping safe. And we look forward to seeing you sometime soon in sha Allah, sha Allah. So we're saying now now My mind has gone to South Africa, right? We're talking about the rain here in Canada. But now I'm thinking of how green and lush it is in South Africa, right? And how I remember my first trip to Durban, my very first trip to South Africa was to Durban and then to Johannesburg. And I got to Durban Hoon is so green and so lush and so beautiful.

And I remember being in South Africa at times where it's super green. And I also remember going at a time when there's a drought. I remember being in Cape Town, and there was a drought and I was staying right by the water right by the coast the southern tip of the country's panela and I was staying there and I was thinking to myself all of this water is right outside my window and I actually kept my window open at night when I was sleeping in the hotel. I kept the window open so I could hear the sound of the wall.

It was so beautiful, so amazing. But there was a little sign on the table in the hotel room that reminded everyone that there's a drought currently or at the time in South Africa, and that we should be conserving water and not to take a shower that's longer than a certain amount of minutes and so on and so forth. And so Allah subhanaw taala had it brings this rain, and he mentioned that he gives life to lifeless land, the land where we took the crops from last year. Now we are planting seeds again, and we are going to wait and we're going to pray and we're going to nourish that land, we're going to look after we're going to take care of it. We're going to you know, even if there's

no rain that falls from the sky, what will the farmers do, they will go and they will get water, they will fetch the water and bring the water and and allow the water to be sprinkled over the ground so that the seeds under the ground get some water in order to snap and to sprout. But again, Allah subhanho wa Taala reminds us and so of you be brought forth on the Day of Judgment, we will come out of the ground, we will sprout from the ground and like the plants come out of ground once again. Allahu Akbar, watch how that will be. We ask Allah subhanho wa Taala to just make it easy, and shaded and simple without any sad. No, he said no reckoning, no questioning, just admittance in

paradise. I mean,

verse number 12, of sort of Zakat of Allah Subhana Allah Allah says, and he is the one who created all things in pairs, and made for you ships and animals to ride Allahu Akbar. So that you may sit firmly on their backs. And remember your Lord's blessings once you are settled on them saying, Glory be to the one who has subjected these for us, for we could have never done so on our own, and surely to our Lord, will we all return, we say this door how when we get into the car, right? So I chose these verses to remind us that Allah Subhana, Allah tells us, he provides for us, He will make us you know, come from the ground once again, and be brought forth from the ground. And he reminds us

again of his creation, that he created all things in pairs. And he made for us ships and animals to write and many other things, of course, but ships as in they go in the water. So we can travel on sea, and we can travel on land using the animals. And nowadays we have modern animals, we have the Ford Mustang, right.

Right. That's the modern day horse. We have many animals on hamdulillah that we ride, I need to adjust my chair. My chair bothered me Gema time.

So, you know we have these animals that we ride on land horses are amazing. If we can go back to riding horses, it would be amazing, right? It's just so nice horseback riding. And, you know, to travel by sea is not my favorite. But Allah Subhana Allah blessed us with the ability to travel by air as well. We have the use of the aeroplanes, right? And he tells us in the corner and look at the birds. How do you think the bird is floating in the air with the little wings that it has, right and a big body, the wings are light, the body is heavy, and human beings analyze the birds and we turned it into a plane. And we travel from land to land overseas, continent to continent. day in day out,

we could be in one area of the world, one hemisphere in the morning and another hemisphere at night and one continent in the morning and another continent by night again. And so the blessings of Allah subhanho wa Taala in being able to travel in being able to enjoy from what he's provided for us, right even the trees when we think of pollination, I remember when I was a student in Medina, and we used to watch the farmers pollinating the trees, the palm trees so that we can have dates, that we can enjoy those dates that would go up in the trees and pollinate them in order to produce those dates. And the bees naturally do that for us of us when we had it sends the bees from plant to plant

to plant to pollinate and to allow us to benefit from you know the the plants and the produce and the flowers and all the goodness that Allah subhanho wa Taala produces for us.

And then he says so that you may sit for on your backs and remember your Lord's blessings once you are sent on them. Right? Sit firmly on the backs of those animals.

We can sit in the cars we can sit in the plains and we can remember the blessings of Allah the blessing

of being able to go from place to place once upon a time when a family member would travel to another country, we would think to ourselves fee mn Illa. We will never see you again.

Right we would say fee Amani la go with, you know the the protection and safety of Allah subhanho wa Taala thinking to ourselves, that we're not going to see them ever again. Right?

Well what has Allah Subhana Allah provided for us now? He's provided for us the ability to travel so easily. While being busy in his remembrance not busy in watching the Star Wars trilogies or watching you know all the series of digital growth, or, you know, being busy. No, he's provided for us the ability to travel from place to place and what does he say? Remember your Lord's blessings once you are settled on them. You get in the airplane, you get in your car, you get on a bus, you get on a train, you get in a boat, remember your Lord's blessings and say, so behind nav, South Carolina, the American

colony mirkarimi. In what in

And so with the plan of Allah subhanho wa Taala we are able to ride vehicles from place to place and it is only with the command

of Allah subhanho wa Taala that they can transport us safely from one place to the other.

And we ask Allah subhanaw taala to protect all of us in our travels and journeys. And it's very interesting the sisters that he came on, right when I was talking about

you know, the the animals and the means of transportation that Allah has blessed us with, you know, she's all the way in Johannesburg, South Africa, and I've, I've been to their home, I've eaten dinner in their home, and I can't wait to go back and shut a lot go to it sometime. And you know, spend some time there in South Africa with my family, I really, one of the things that I want to do a goal in my life is to bring my family to South Africa, and to meet the people there, meet the amazing people that live in South Africa. And just get to know that lifestyle. And, you know, Subhan Allah just meet some of the most hospitable people that they will ever meet on the face of this

earth, in Africa, and especially in South Africa. So for those of you that haven't traveled the world, or those of you who want to see what's out there from the blessings of Allah subhanho wa Taala. travel, travel, and I know right now, you're saying God, you're telling us to travel, we can't travel? Well, yeah.

except the righteous who will be told all my servants, there is no fear for you today, nor will you grieve. Let the whole finale come

less often Allah como Leone, wala untung doesn't own Allah subhana wa tada and lets us know that the believers, they're the ones who will still be close to one another on that, on that day and close friends, people who we took as friends who we thought were close to us and we were close to them for an ulterior motive, not because of the deen not because of pleasing Allah Subhana Allah, not because they were people that reminded us of our Creator, not because they were people who are humble and submit only to Allah, people who we took as close friends because hey, they're cool, or Hey, they're awesome or mn we could just chill and forget about this world and forget about life and we can go

and party and do whatever. No, that's not the purpose of life. The purpose of life is to worship Allah and close friends. Those are the ones who bring us closer to Allah subhanho wa Tada. So on the Day of Judgment, close friends will be enemies to each other, because they will be blaming each other. It was because of you that I'm going to jahannam it was because of you that I did the things that I did, it was because of you who influenced me to go to this, you know, to this sort of path in life. It was you who introduced me to these wrong things and they will continue to blame each other. Allah Subhana Allah says lol Mota clean except for the righteous. Yeah, very bad. Allah subhanho wa

Taala Allah says,

who will be taught

all my servants, la hoefflin la como Liam. There is no fear for you today. One into into his own and there is no grieve you're right you will not grieve right? No grief. I was sent this statistic 80% of women in shelters in if I'm not mistaken, Montreal or Quebec as a whole, but I do believe it's Montreal. 80% of women in shelters in Montreal are Muslim women.

Now, 50% of the women in shelters in Montreal are reporting domestic abuse.

So 80% of the women in shelters are Muslim sisters. And 50% of the women in shelters are reporting domestic abuse. And Allah subhanho wa Taala says, I'll Muslim sorry the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says I'll mostly moment Saleemul mostly moon me Lisa and he way How is that even possible? How is it possible that such high numbers of Muslim women are in shelters and from amongst the women in the shelters such a high number are reporting domestic abuse.

my brothers and sisters, especially the brothers, if you're going to be abusing and physically abusing and verbally abusing your spouse, don't think that that will be your condition. Don't consider yourself here. Don't consider yourself here.

And for the brothers that say how can you say we shouldn't consider ourselves people of Paradise, I didn't say that you're not people of paradise.

Every single one of us will have to stand before a lot, every single one of us will give account to Allah subhanho wa Taala.

And for those of us who fell short,

who oppressed others, who abused others, Allah has the ability to punish us.

Allah has the ability to punish us.

And again, this message I'm conveying to the brothers.

Don't be fooled. My sisters don't think that you are safe, and you are the ones who are not harming others as well.

There are many brothers out there who report abuse from sisters from their wife.

And I've seen it with my own eyes. I've seen it, I've witnessed it not in my home and hamdulillah. I've seen it from others.

I've seen it. I've seen brothers come and cried to me. I've seen brother abused and tell them go and report this.

And they have Can you imagine?

Can you imagine how difficult it is for a husband to call the police on their wife? How difficult it is. It's like a law has put me in a position as men as a husband to protect to maintain the sanctity, the safety, the protection of my spouse in my house in the household and the children. And if the harm is coming from within, how difficult is it, you're in a position where you have to look after this person, but this person is abusing their rights within the home. And so in order to help them you have to call authorities.

We should never be behaving this way. It is not the way of the Muslim it is not the life of the believer in Allah subhanho wa Taala to abuse others. And what's even worse abusing the people that Allah subhanho wa Taala Anna wants us to help first and foremost.

What is the best kind of sadaqa the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam teaches us what is the best kind of stocker the sadaqa that's done towards one's family.

And he says hey, you're welcome the best from amongst you, Pharaoh come early are those from amongst you who are best to your family won a hydro company early. And I am the best from amongst you to my family. Look at that, look at how some how some things just, you know puzzle pieces are supposed to fit right? Some things in life just don't fit. It makes sense. islamically but we don't live it. We are not doing that. We are not living the way we're supposed to be living my brothers and sisters

and who is at fault and who is being harmed.

Look at what our children are experiencing. Look at what children are seeing that their parents are calling police on each other. We should never reach that point. It should never reach that point. If you are having marital issues go and seek help.

Go and seek help pay for it if you need to. The money that we put in our gasoline, the money that we put in gasoline in the tanks of our cars is not worth more than the relationship that we have with our spouse. The coffee's that we're buying the internet connection the homes that we live in the shoes that we wear the purses that we you know hang on our shoulders, right? The the clothing that we that we cover ourselves with is not worth the price that we're spending on them. putting money in that and not putting money in our relationship with our spouses and our children.

And Muslim woman Sally Mel muesli, moon and listen he wired. Our spouses are not only supposed to be safe and protected from us physically. They are not allowed to be abused verbally.

They're not allowed to be abused. And it's not only our spouses, the general population people should never, ever be

Faced with harsh words and harsh actions from the Muslims never, never.

In general life never.

So when Allah Subhana Allah says, who do hula Jen, when you think of, you know, beauty and your relationship with your spouse on life and how things were Allahu Akbar, and you're placed in paradise together, and you think to yourself, there's no other person, that I would want to spend my life in this dunya with Allah Subhana, Allah blesses you with that person in general, and it's not the same person.

It's not the same person. It's the same person, but not the same person. Because what we're really saying today, we're all going to be young, there's not going to be anyone that's elderly in Paradise, everyone who's elderly now will be returned to a young age in order to enter into paradise.

And everyone will be of high level of beauty, and honor, and status, and smell and scent. You know, Subhanallah I say this all the time.

Sometimes you walk by people.

And they look so much for the glitz and glamour, and they try so hard to put themselves out there. And with the technology we have nowadays, you see it online, where people are putting themselves on Instagram, putting themselves on social media on Facebook, and they just are doing themselves up. I don't even remember just in the last week, someone sent me something.

And I don't want to talk about that in particular. But it was a reminder, because the person started to remove everything that was on their face. And it was a completely different person.

So in this world in this dunya people beautify themselves, they put themselves out there, and whenever I see it, I always tell myself and hamdulillah Al Hamdulillah. Why? Because

you know, when you're when you're married, you live with someone you know that person inside and out. Right? And it's not just their personality, it's their smell, you know, it's their scent as in you know, you enjoy being with that person you enjoy. You know, the way that people do things and so on. When you see people online,

and it looks nice. Human beings are being deceived. Because the eyelashes are fake. The lips are fake, the noses fake, the color of the cheeks are fake, right? The tone the skin tone is fake. The hair is fake, the fingers are fake, the nails are fake, right, the eye color is fake. Everything is fake. The teeth are fake. In the video that I saw this week, even the teeth It was a woman Subhanallah I don't remember where it was was a very short clip. It just popped up somewhere. And it was like

eyebrows came off eyelashes came off, you know, the the makeup came out the teeth, dentures

Billa. It makes you wonder like what do people do? what extent do people go to in order to post themselves online so that people can admire them. And the reality is my brothers and sisters when you think of it, what you see online and what you're drawn into what makes you go and you're just like you want it. It's not real, because you may not like the smell of that person. You may not like the words of that person, the way they speak to you. You may not like the the height of that person. You may not like the way the person conducts themselves. You may not like the way they treat others. You may not like the way that they sleep. You may not like the way that they snore. There's so many

things so many things.

So be be pleased with what Allah Subhana water Hannah has blessed us with and be thankful to Allah azza wa jal and then look what Allah subhanho wa Taala says. He says oh hello.

But to them that's clean water. So they'll just leave it in the in the vessel or in the cup for some time.
