Khadijah style – A Glimpse of the Life of the First Mother of the Believers

hamdu lillah wa salatu salam ala Rasulillah it was it was interesting because you're not sure that we're likely to hit Allah who would actually take a lot harsher than Hamid Abdul Rasul salatu salam i.

So, today inshallah Allah we're going to be talking about Omen meaning the first of the Mother of the Believers Khadija Rhodiola on hmm. And I wanted to preface it by

saying that I'm very happy to see that the the men outnumber the sisters tonight. I don't know if they're more behind the the mirror the one week last but she had what he had on Wednesday night. He said something that really I found beautiful. And he said that, you know, a lot of times when it comes to talking about a woman, whether it's a historical figure, anything people you know, the men automatically assume that it doesn't involve them, or some men think automatically it doesn't involve them even now, up until today someone was asking me Hey, your program tonight is it for resistors only are men involved? Right? And it's no a digital the law has someone who everyone

deserves to learn about and should learn about and share what he said Allah azza wa jal says in the Quran, Allah Allahu Methoden, Dina Armand, Emirati round, Allah says, Allah strikes an example for those who believe the wife of Quran and so she was an example for who

And what I wanted to do is not try to paint a picture of her history or a biography. And the reason is, there's not much to be to be said, if you're going to try to, to, you know, draw out this, this, this biography of Khadija, really, there's not much information about her and everything that I've come across. When I looked at books

and listen to lectures on the topic, I found that they took some thought, or they took some statements, or they took some a hottie. And from that they tried to fill in the blanks. And there's a reason why there's not much information about Khadija Can anybody guess.

Why is there not a lot of information about how to get to the line?

When did she die?

She died in Makkah, right. She died in Makkah, she died in the 10th year after the birth of the Prophet saw the light is in them. So you're talking about, she passed away.

She died in the 10th year. So she died 13 years before the prophets on the lights and have died. She died three years before the Prophet migrated to Medina. And so she died very early in Islam. She didn't live like many of the companions live long after the Prophet saw a lighthouse and then to sit down and be able to teach people to narrate the people it so funny little delight her there's not that much information about her. Nonetheless, the structure of tonight is I'm going to be sharing some lessons that just popped in my mind when I was reading about this. And I want you as well to be thinking and contemplating and sharing your lessons as well. Because you all know the story of

Khadija we've all heard the story of idea from before. But when we engage the story, and we start trying to to figure out you know how this applies to my life, you come out with beautiful reflections and, and lessons and so the first

the first reason why I wanted to compile something about hottie just because I felt like I only hear about her from two camps.

The first is sisters who are approaching a brother for marriage.

And so she'll say something like and brother, I'm doing this Khadija style,

which is basically saying I'm proposing to you or I'm reaching out to you.

And the other was by guys who are usually singing a song about how they're looking for a hadiya.

And I was like, Is this really the only times where you hear a DJ being invoked? It'll be Alana, doesn't she deserve more than that?

And so, her digital doula I have the first thing that popped into my mind with regards to the idea is what use have mentioned is that she was a businesswoman. That's what we all know, she was a businesswoman. But something beautiful was that she carried herself as a businesswoman in Mexican society with such dignity and such class that she had a nickname. And yeah, how do you juggle the law and how we're still confident.

The love of a lifetime, being right around the corner.

You can imagine somebody who by the age of 40, had already been widowed twice as being a person who's very down very, very depressed.

Feels like they they've been dealt with unjustly maybe.

And yet, we see nothing of that with Khadija it'll be a lot how we still see her unbroken, we still see her being a confident person and dignified person.

And she Mary's little sort of lost them a lot as and, you know, there's the there's their story, of course, that most of you, if not all of you have heard about how the Prophet saw the light is ended up, she hired the Prophet some of our days and them and the Prophet was a shepherd. And then he became a merchant, and he worked with Khadija or he worked under fundido, like Alana, and she set him to trips to Hashem. And there's, you know, the story of his of her servants Mesa who went with the prophets of Allah to send them and you know, he, he noticed uncanny things about the Prophet sallallaahu they send them or how nature responded to the prophet or how the cloud Shadid him and

things like that. There's no you know, those narrations aren't very strong. And so they can't be taken, you know, as, as you would take other aspects of the Sierra. Nonetheless, digital Gilad, she married the prophets of the lighthouse, and none of the prophets of the lightest and and proposed her at the age of 25. She was 40 years old. Some of the scholars say she wasn't 41, the province level might have said and married her she was 28 years old. And the reason why they say that she was 28 and not 40, is they said she gave birth to six children.

How could it be that she's 40 years old?

I don't know. I have no idea I'm not. But you have to you have these two positions right there, her being 28 years old, and her being 40 years old. In either case, the prophets of Allah they send them was younger than her. And the Prophet sallallaahu they send them is this noble young man of Quraysh, who anyone would have been happy to marry. And Khadija all the Alana is this noble woman of flesh, who any of the chiefs have arranged would have been happy to marry, and many of them propose to her. And yet we see that the prophets of Allah, they've set it up. Nonetheless, he sees in Hadiya, something beyond simply,

you know what a man who's 25 years old would look for. And so you see the wisdom of Khadija and you see the wisdom of the prophets of Allah they send them and this also goes against what people say, or what some have accused the Prophet sallallahu Sallam of being a lustful womanizer. If the progress on the line is enormous, this person was a lustful, loyal womanizer to the builder. He wouldn't have married a woman who's 15 years older than him. When the Prophet SAW or three years older than him when the Prophet SAW Allah is and Miss 25 He would have been looking for someone much younger than that, right? So the Prophet sallallaahu Selim he marries Hudy Gerald the Allah and and

this also shows us you know how digital the Lord had given her this person who's a younger than her a chance

and some people don't do that. From the brother side or the sister side the sister is six months older than me. I don't know about that. The brother is a year younger than me that's kind of awkward. Now we see in the end or the families stand against it because of that we see in the seat of the Prophet satellite, so love and his marriage to idea that no this can be the perfect person for the

As person, but you have to have an open mind and you have to give it a chance. The fourth

is that this death of children came to the house of the prophets of Allah it is. I mean, they said that 1/3 of couples will suffer some sort of miscarriage or stillbirth or have a child die in their infancy. This is something that even though we don't really talk about it when it happens, it's something that affects families, and that affects up to 1/3 of couples.

And we see in her digital doula on how she lost two of her sons within her lifetime. And the prophets that Almighty has sent them was tested even more because all of his daughters as well. He outlived all of his daughters, except for fought him and even fought in my he knew that she was going to die shortly after he passed away and that she would be the first of his family to catch up to him. And so like what do you think of that?

Isn't that something that's difficult, and yet hottie general Golan has the faith in Allah. So did that doesn't waver? It's not shaken by that. You know, the Prophet sallallahu send them he told us that when a

child of a believer passes away,

the angels are sent to Allah. And Allah asked the angels.

He says, Have you taken the

They said in that Allah who in a theological that's what your slave said. You know, in some of you may even have a brother or sister who passed away when you were kids or children, right? That's how much it affects our families. So the prophets Allah Allah has sent me he says that Allah Allah will ask the angels, and the angels will say this person when you took their heart when you took the fruit of their heart when you took their child, they said it hamdulillah in that ILAHA in it, Roger, to Allah we belong, and to Him we return. And then Allah as we will say, openly debated bacon was a motivated ham bill from my slave, a house and call that house the house of praise.

Because they praise me in this difficult moment of theirs. Then built for them a house I call it the house of praise. And so he made an appointment with the with the women once a week, and the

first time he met them. The women asked the Prophet sallallahu send them and they asked him and they said, O Messenger of Allah, what happens to he said to them, or what he told them is he said, there's no woman who three of her children died, except that they become a shield for her from the hellfire.

And they said you also Allah, what about to and the province of Almighty is in that event? So any woman who has three of her children that prepubescent children if they pass away, or even two, they will be a shield for her

From the Hellfire got a job and not having enough or a job admin or not. And so hurry Gerald Ilan had lost two of her children and she had a faith in Allah azza wa jal, that didn't waver. The other thing, or the fifth thing that really is powerful with regards to digital, the Alana is allowing your husband to find his place in the world.

She marries the province to LaGuardia send them when he's 25.

You'd imagine by 30, a person knows what they want out of life, what direction they're headed, what their goals are, what career they want, all of that.

At the age of 40, the prophets of Allah they set it up begins to go to, or even before that, he would go to the cave of headlock.

I shall have the lion has telling this story. And she says he used to go to the cave a lot, yet to hand off a tab, but he would go to worship.

However, he knew how to and he didn't know how. But however, he was inspired or he could.

He would try to worship Allah azza wa jal.

And he would do it for days on end,

even up to a month,

and then he would go back. After being absent for a month he would go back. And he would with his oh, what limited he would go back to get provision to go back and do some more.

Digital Dylon has children.

She's wealthy. Why is her husband going out into the desert, into a mountain into a cave for days and weeks on end, and then coming back, just to get more to go back again. And yet we don't see anything about her digital delight her asking the Prophet Why is he doing that? We don't see anything about digital the Lionheart telling him not to do that. There are no arguments that happen because of it. She simply facilitates and allows for him to go and find his place in the world. Not only that, but when he sees a or when he experiences something that he can't resolve. An angel comes to him in the cave and squeezes him. squeezes him again, it says UCLA and he says mine a bit but I can't read and then squeezes him again, it says UCLA and he says Malika caught it. And then it recites to him verses and he doesn't know what all of this entails and he goes back to his home.

What happened to you he's frightened, he's disturbed he's scared. He says the Milan is a mutiny just cover me up.

And then he recites the Hadith and informs Khadija what happened.

He's been gone for days and weeks. And this is the person who returns to her. And he says she to other NFC says, I'm like,

I don't know what's happening to me.

And then a digital, the lionesses can know Allah. She says no, by Allah Now usic Allah, she says, Don't worry, Allah as they did is never going to forsake you. And so this brings us to our second point, which is

when after allowing your spouse to find his place in the world, knowing the best things about your your your spouse, and so in their moments of self doubt, you are able to support them with words that are worth their weight in gold. What did huggy gentle delight Jose? What did Allah Allah get inspired by the devil the lion had to say in those moments, she says Canada will lay the lay of zyk Allahu Aveda. In nugget associate or rhyme with Acme will tell what xe would do what to create a belief whatever you know, I don't know why it will help Jesus.

Never by Allah Allah who will never disgrace you. Why you keep good relations with your kith and your kin. You help the poor and the destitute. You serve your guests generously and assist in the deserving calamity afflicted once you sing. Why would Allah azza wa jal play games with you?

Allah Azza wouldn't forsake someone like you look at what you do you take care of people who are in need. You maintain your ties of kinship, you support people. You assist those who are in need. You do all of these things. You're not the type that Allah azza wa jal would allow to be harmed in that way. But how do you juggle the law? Hmm. She has this great support this pillar of the support of the province who has ended up her wisdom. Her genius is that she doesn't take the prophets of Allah and send them to any of the heads of clay. He doesn't take him to a boil. I would help him.

She doesn't take him to the father of wisdom who would later become a Buddha. She doesn't take him to him. She doesn't take him to somebody who's a soothsayer. She doesn't take him to any of those. Who does she take him to?

She takes him to work on who is what about

a person who has knowledge of revelation and so we see Khadija taking him to Revelation.

We see Khadija introducing the Prophet SAW

Moonlight is and then the Prophet didn't know these things from before. So she takes him and she's showing us the Hadith of the law and her her awareness and her wisdom, is she recognizing that what the prophets of Allah is sending them has his issue his problem, it is not going to be solved by anything other than going to a source of true knowledge.

So she takes him to whatever you know for the person who had studied Christianity and understood the Bible and wrote it in Hebrew.

And what have they been, you know, full? Here's what the Prophet sallallahu Sallam has to say, he hears the experience that the prophets on the light isn't them describes. And he tells him You have been visited by the same angel that used to visit Musa

and he says to him, I wish that I were alive. When your people expel you.

And the Prophet sallallahu Sallam says, I'm afraid you're home, by people going to expel me, what are you talking about? That's never happened in the history of Arabs ever. People don't get expelled from their own tribe. People fight for that. That's your tribal fight for no reason to defend you. They don't expel their own I want to do. And then one of us says to him, yeah, they will. Because no prophet has ever come with what you've come with Illa OD, except that they were

fought, they made enemies. And then one of us says, I wish that I had some youth left in me.

I wish that I could live to see this loved one I cannot.

I wish that I had had been alive. I would have supported you with everything I've got.

And just as a relate, relate to the Hulk, but today, we're talking about supporting the religion of Allah as though he didn't look at what other we need, oh, foot, whatever we need. Oh, for the same man, I just wish that I could have lived an extra day in Islam. I wish that I could spend an extra week, an extra month. I wish that I could just do a lot. Give me one more year.

If I could just have been young again, I would have supported this religion with everything I've got.

And we're born into this religion. And Allah knows how long we have to live in it. Shouldn't we support it with everything that we got? Take take advantage of this advice of what have I been, you know?

So Khadija are the law and supporting the province, the lightest, and them in his moment of self doubt, also,

of the lessons from Hadiya is recognizing good for what it is and being willing to follow it. Irrespective of the crowd. She was the first to believe so he was the first one to believe. And not only that, the Prophet saw the light is synonyms role change, he became the the Messenger of Allah azza wa jal, but their relationship changed. He was the only way to have the profits and the lightness and who marries Muhammad Sallallahu. It is unknown. And so she witnesses this transformation, their roles changed where he becomes the messenger of God, every other woman who married the prophets of Allah is Allah Mary's Rasulullah sallallahu wasallam. They all call him

Yasuda Allah. So DJ becomes the woman who calls him jasola. And again, all we see is support and love and care from her digital the Alana, she even before that something beautiful about Khadija is that she didn't let her being a businesswoman, her being financially successful, her maybe being the person who spends on the house, she didn't let that change the equilibrium of the marriage.

And that's a challenge for some sisters, when she makes more money than the guy.

Or she's more educated than the guy.

And so in moments of conflict, she kind of just wants to take that jab at him.

Right? Just want to take a quick job and say, Well, I make more money than you so.

And we know nothing of that with IDW line.

There's no there's no conflict here. And that's something that happens again and again. By the way with regards to what makes it you're so special if you're talking about what made her so unique from all of the wise with the province satellites and them and what made her one of the greatest women ever is simply this notion of there's no conflict. Never a single argument, never a single problem between her and it was sort of loss of aliveness and, and that can't be said about any of the other wives. They would ignore the Prophet civilize them, they'd give him the cold Jordan cold shoulder, they would respond back to him. They would do all of that even a model Dylon was shocked when he

realized that his daughter Hafsa did that to Rasulullah sallallahu Sallam and he told her he said don't be like don't follow Asher around.

He said don't do that. Don't copy Ayesha Ayesha, he has a love for Aisha he doesn't have for you. He's He's so you told her that he said don't don't think that you can get away with why she can get away with both like he did with Eli had none of those problems existed in the first place. None of those problems existed in the first place. So

also

now

only did he just roll the provinces and roll with ADD change, but the profits role in society changed. And it didn't necessarily go become better for the region. And you have your you've got a reputation and you build that reputation over a lifetime she's applied. And the province Thermolite isn't even has a reputation. And all we see is her being committed to the religion of Allah as we did committed to the religion of Islam, everything that she has, she gives for the the establishment of this deed

the digital the law had passes away in the year number 10 of the beautiful and it is said

as close as within days of will thaw that passes away as well. My question for you guys is Why do a body and Hadiya about the Allahu anha pass away within days of one another or within months of one another at most within the same year? What's the benefit of that what is the divine wisdom in something like that happen?

So Rasulullah sallallahu Sallam has two pillars of support. He has his uncle level thought him and he has his wife idea. These are his two main pillars of support. Well thought of has supported him his entire life. Khadija has supported him ever since they got married, unwavering support, even though everybody was not Muslim, he gave Rasulullah sallallahu Sallam 100% commitment and support no one is going to harm you as long as I'm alive.

And then I will die he passes away and Hadiya pass away. And the pillars of support are completely swept from underneath but also the loss of Elijah set it up as Jaffa Assad upset so that he would depend only on allies.

And sometimes, that is the lesson that we learn when our pillars of support are taken from us. It may be a father and maybe a mother.

And we remember and we learn what an ibis said.

I believe it was an ibis, or even Abba, someone said to even up

bask that Allah azza wa jal is better for you than your father.

And Allah azza wa jal is better for your father than you are.

And so you're reminded that you know, as much as my parents or my wife or whoever it was, this person was a pillar of support for me.

My real support is from Allah, Allah. And Allah, Allah is going to take care of me just like he taken care of me my entire life. And that's a lesson that a lot as your teachers and political Allah as it says, we have a lady that said, yo mama doc got a book on my pillow and I feel it took a minute all over the Soviet ticker book. batalla Allah Thank you Taurus. Allah says Allah, Allah never hated you, Allah didn't forsake you. What are you talking about? Don't you see how Allah azza wa jal has taken care of you every step of your life and then you did get a team at for our which is the Kabbalah further which is the guy in Laguna, did you see how Allah azza wa jal you were an

orphan Allah took care of you weren't you destitute? Allah has enriched you. He protected you? Don't you see all of these things? Don't you see how Allah has yet has been caring for you your entire life? Why would you think that Allah would forsake you now? And so you as well, if you were to look at your own life's trajectory?

You would see, weren't you like this and Allah as we did it enriched you?

Weren't you scared at one point and Allah azza wa jal gave you security? Did Allah azza wa jal carry you through this issue? And that issue and this issue and that issue? Why would you think now when you're looking towards the future, you're so scared, and you're so desperate, and you're so afraid, and you're so hopeless? When Allah Allah has taken care of you this entire time? Don't you think he's going to see you through the rest of it.

And so the Prophet saw the light is in the midst taught

that there is no support greater than the support of Allah azza wa jal.

Also, from the lessons that we learn from ideology, Alana, is to bring such serenity and comfort to a home that the description of her home and gender becomes one which has no noise and no exhaustion. As that woman just said, Ahmed, a person's reward is proportional to their actions, or you will have a reward that is similar to your actions. And so whoever builds for Allah a house, in this world, Allah as we did, builds for him a house in paradise. Whoever conceals the faults of a believer, Allah conceals his faults on the Day of Judgment. That's the way that it goes. This is a sunnah of the Sunnah of Allah. And so for the Geraldine Lata, because she had that type of a house and an

environment and she created this environment for the sort of loss of the light and setting up where there was no noise in his house. There were no arguments in his house. There was no fatigue and exhaustion. He wasn't being worn out by his by his wife and his kids and all of that it was complete support. Khadija Aldila is rewarded with a house that is similar in paradise, GB and it sit down is with the Prophet sallallahu sallam. I showed her the line and she tells us in one narration and Abu Huraira, and another that you breed was with the prophets on the light and send them and then he said, Khadija is coming.

He looked and he said, he just coming and she's carrying some food or she's carrying some water. So give her salam from her Lord, and from me

and tell her that Allah Azza yet has built for her a house in paradise. Phil Jannetty Minh pasa Lhasa fee? Well,

Allah azza wa jal has built for her a house in paradise that has no noise in it and there is no fatigue there's no noise in it and there's no fatigue

How do you juggle the Allah and the Prophet saw the light is and then gives her this information

now when Allah gives you salaam What do you respond to that?

You believe gives you you said if you say

why don't you set up Allah gives you set out what do you say?

she says Allah is a setup.

Right? Don't we say that low monthly setup, right? Well, mica setup, she says Allah is a setup.

And then she says, Why are they here? Why they can set up to the private satellite is upon him, return the set up and to you as well. So she was given this reward of this house, or whatever it tells us and I shall get Lynette tell us that she was given the reward of this house. And the amount they extracted because this is the environment that she created for Rasulillah Salam it is and not in this dunya also of the virtues of Khadija, the lessons that we learn is her being the best and raising the best. The prophets of Allah it said them told us that the best of women are four. Who are these four women
