Bismillah

00:00:27--> 00:00:28

hola buena

00:00:30--> 00:00:31

de Cana

00:00:48--> 00:01:28

Alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. We begin by praising Allah subhanho wa Taala who is worthy of unlimited unconditional praise? We praise Allah subhana wa tada for every blessing that we recognize and for the blessings we do not recognize. We praise Allah subhanho wa Taala for having guided us to Islam were it not for Allah's guidance, we would not be guided. We praise Allah subhana wa Taala for the blessings of the Quran for Allah azza wa jal chose us to reveal the best of all of his books. We praise Allah subhanho wa Taala for making us the oma of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and that is the greatest honor because it is the greatest oma, we praise Allah subhana wa tada for the

00:01:28--> 00:02:09

blessings of health, the blessings of wealth for the blessings of safety and security. We praise Allah subhana wa tada for each and every blessing that we do not even recognize and know as a lot. So it just says in the Quran, what is behind a company imma move on to lighten your belt in a he has immersed you in his blessings. Some of them are apparent and you know them and others, others of them are hidden and you do not recognize them as to what follows. We are continuing our series of the Day of Judgment. And to be honest, I am very sad, having entered the masjid which is totally empty and speaking to you from an empty room and seeing this this magnificent house of Allah

00:02:09--> 00:02:28

subhanho wa Taala the way that it is, it is very troubling. And we ask Allah azza wa jal to lift the Weber and the Bella that has come down because of our own sins. Truly, it is a very sad time that we are witnessing now. And we ask Allah azza wa jal for for for afia.

00:02:29--> 00:03:08

Nonetheless, we must continue regardless of what happens we must continue and persevere in our worship of Allah, and in increasing our knowledge, and of the aspects of knowledge that we were busy with. Before all of this began, I was doing a series about the Day of Judgment. And I had reached the concept of Shiva and I had done a number of lectures about the shift out of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. And then that allowed us to go into the tangent about the types of Shiva and we wanted to do all of them. But what began all of that before the tangents would began, all of that was the shafa of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam to begin the day of judgment. Remember

00:03:08--> 00:03:41

that right? Then we said, since we're doing Shiva, we might as well discuss all types of Shiva. So I went into chronologically attention because the shift out of the people of gender, the shift out at the end of times they are at the very end of the bubble of jahannam. That's not going to happen on the Day of Judgment, it's going to happen aeons later it's going to happen, a timeframe we don't even know about, but I went into all of that. And we have discussed basically the categories of shefa and the controversies over them. Now we're going to come back and we go back to that Hadith where our Prophet sallallahu wasallam was bowing down in front of the throne of Allah subhana wa

00:03:41--> 00:04:24

tada and Allah subhana wa tada says, Yeah, Mohammed arafat sec says toto is far too short fact that all prophets was a mere Mohammed raise up your head Old Testament speak you shall be listened to ask you shall be granted what you want and then give the shofar. So Allah subhana wa tada will ask the prophets Assam to lift up his head, and that will be the beginning of the day of judgment meaning the judgment of the Day of Judgment. Obviously, judgment day has begun as a concept and what is going to happen well, the next concept or the next issue that the Quran and Sunnah mentions and the Quran is very explicit about this. And it is something that the believers hearts should tremble at,

00:04:24--> 00:05:00

and the man should quiver when they hear about the next aspect and that is that Allah subhana wa tada himself is going to come to the plains of the Day of Judgment, and Allah azza wa jal will descend down and he will come in a large gathering of angels. And the Quran mentions in a number of verses that Allah azza wa jal will come on the day of judgment to begin the judgment itself. And for example, Allah says in the Quran, can either Ducati outdo that canon deca or jarabacoa. Medical softens of no on that.

00:05:00--> 00:05:45

Day remember the day that the Earth itself will be leveled and pounded and crushed into Ducati out to deck and then Allah says YG Rob Booker well Malik and your LORD shall come and the angels will come soften Safa row after row. And this is of course in suits Alfredo and Allah subhanho wa Taala mentioned Sudha Baqarah verse 210, after he mentioned the punishment for those who reject a law and he threatens them by and tells them to repent and accept Islam, then Allah subhana wa tada says, Hey, Leon Luna Illa and yet to whom Allah houfy Lula de mineral Hammami, well, mera Eco, what are they waiting for? It's a rhetorical question, what are they waiting for? What is what is going to

00:05:45--> 00:06:26

cause them to repent? are they waiting for the time that Allah Himself is going to come? Yeah, to whom Allah, Allah is going to come for you voula the mineral Hammami with Metallica in the shadows of many clouds surrounded with the angels, while only a number and the matter shall be settled, meaning judgment is going to happen. What in a law he told me, Gerald Moore and all affairs shall turn to Allah shall return to Allah subhana wa Tada. And then sort of then an arm, verse 158, sort of set an arm, verse 158, once again, in the context of threatening those who reject religion and those who reject the Day of Judgment, allies, telling them what will cause you to repent? What are

00:06:26--> 00:07:08

you waiting for? I mean, what will cause you to wake up and realize that there is something that's going to happen after life life after that is going to happen? So a large event says hello, Leon buruma. In and to whom Rama equal to Oh, yeah, dear. Rock book. Oh, yeah. Arabic What are they waiting for? are they waiting that the angels all of them come down? Or are they waiting for Allah azzawajal himself to come? Or are they waiting for some of the signs of Allah to come? In other words, it is very clear that Allah xojo they say, there's what are you going to delay? What are you delaying? There will come a time when all of the angels will come, and they will come a time when a

00:07:08--> 00:07:51

law himself will come? What is that time? This is very clear, intuitive federal gallery dedicated to the conduct of war jarabacoa Marcos Office of YG yo may even be jahannam. And also on that day, Johanna will be brought out so that day is the day so Allah azza wa jal is mentioning What are you waiting for? For how long will you be in the state of heedlessness in the state of hoffler, rejecting Islam rejecting religion rejecting turning to Allah subhanho wa Taala and in the famous Hadith, in the jam ever Timothy, that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said Hadith is authentic, either Kenyan will pay empty yen zero law who Eleanor eba de jacobina, whom will kulu

00:07:51--> 00:08:35

Metin jatiya that on the Day of Judgment, yen zero law who in a bad Allah subhana wa Taala will come down to his servants Li algo, Leah baina, whom to judge between all of them. So this is an authentic hadith in the center of activity that our Prophet system is explicitly saying, on the day of judgment, Allah Himself was going to come and Allah Himself will decide between all of his creation and there is also a verse in the Quran that is used by some of the scholars of the Sahaba tab here on the tablet tab here on some of the earliest scholars of Islam to affirm this concept of Allah azza wa jal himself coming down on the Day of Judgment, and that is the verse ensuited xumo will

00:08:35--> 00:09:16

Ashoka to outdo the new the rock behalf and on that day, the Earth is going to be lightened up by the light of Allah azzawajal washer aka chill out do the new Rob Bihar, the new of Allah azza wa jal will make this whole earth lightened up what will the Al Kitab and the Kitab meaning the book of deeds, we're going to talk about this in our next lessons, the book of deeds is going to be brought down and placed what je Nabina was Shahada. He was told we have a new home and the prophets will be brought and all of the witnesses will be brought, and the matter shall be settled. Now, the beginning of the verse says what what I should have gotten out Oh, boo, boo, boo, Robbie ha, this

00:09:16--> 00:09:59

earth shall be lightened up with the light of its Lord. And so this is an indication that something is going to happen to cause this whole earth to brighten there will be a bright light coming from Allah subhanho wa Taala and a tabari, the famous professor of the Koran, one of the earliest scholars of the year, one of the largest books of the year ever written, by the way and one of the most beautiful and authentic books of the year is the famous Tafseer of Imam autobody. And the amount of poverty he died around 310 or 311. Digital and he wrote a very massive book of Tafseer which is called the geometry by Atlanta with IO Koran which is the comprehensive

00:10:00--> 00:10:41

explanation regarding the proceeds of the Ayat of Allah subhanho wa Taala. And this is over 30 volumes by the very massive book, an amount of poverty says in this book that for Allah to outdo binuclear of Bihar, the earth shall be lightened up by the light of its Lord with Attica Hina. Buddhists are manually First we'll call it by the holiday and that is going to happen when a man himself comes in order to judge between his creation and amount of poverty brings a number of narrations from the early companions and the early Sahaba for example, has an adversity the famous has an basally and has an adversary died 110 Digital imagine he studied with some of the Sahaba and

00:10:41--> 00:11:21

he met some of the great Sahaba has another boss that he said that when it is the day of judgment yet buddies who are buena, our Lord shall appear so the entire creation will see him but the calf here will be veiled from him and we're going to get back to this point of the veiling of Allah subhanho wa Taala and emammal Bella with the great scholar of Tafseer as well. He said, Well, Ashoka turned out to be Nura be half the earth shall lighten up by the light of its Lord emammal bajo is the commentator of the Quran he said was it kahina digelar Rob Buddha foster Koba in healthy this is going to happen when Allah Himself will will come and appear in front of his creation in order to

00:11:21--> 00:12:08

judge between all of them. Now, the issue of Allah azza wa jal, therefore in the Arabic is Alma G, or Etienne Jara book, yeah, tiara book, these are the two words that are used, and Java means to come and yet he means also to come. And the issue here comes now, and this is not I have to go to bit of a tangent. I don't like to do this, but the content and the words that we have used, necessitate a brief or maybe not so brief. We'll see how long it goes a bit of a tangent here about what do we do with these verses that seem to suggest that Allah azza wa jal is coming down that Eliza widget is going to come on the day of judgment that Allah shall appear on the day of judgment?

00:12:08--> 00:12:50

What do we do with these divine attributes that might possibly give human like characteristics the fancy term is anthropomorphic. This is the fancy term anthropomorphic simply means human like and of course, the Quran and Sunnah have many attributes of Allah subhana wa Tada. And some of them we understand without any problem who Allah is hey mku we all understand what Hey, mku means Allah is Samir and Allah is Basia. And Allah is ID and Allah is Habib, and Allah is that a man and Rahim we all understand what these attributes mean. And then some of them, some of us we don't really think too deeply about them. And perhaps that's a good thing as we're going to come to but other scholars

00:12:50--> 00:13:32

have thought deeply about them. What do we do when Allah azzawajal says in the Quran, when he is speaking to a police when he's speaking to a police? Allah says, ma'am, and I can attest to the maharlika to be a day Yeah. Or at least Why did you not prostrate to this being? Who am I created with my two hands yet a year? My two hands? What do we do when allies are just saying two hands in the Quran? What do we do when we say whatever forward you who are big that the face of Eliza widget is going to remain? And this is what what I've begun multiple times in the haoran. And in the headache or Adobe wedge here up because seek refuge in the face of your of my Lord. So we have the

00:13:32--> 00:14:18

the term face here. What do we do with other of these, for example, in the Quran, perhaps the most famous example that so many scholars discussed in the past, in a number of verses seven, to be precise, Allah subhanho wa Taala mentions in the Quran that he has estaba. And then out of that Rama know either out of the out is the majestic Throne of law. And the word is Stella. linguistically, it means to rise over. And so if we were to translate this verbatim, it would say that a man has risen over the throne. So what do we do it all of these attributes that have been deemed problematic by some group of early scholars? Well, this is not an advanced theology class. And actually, I do teach

00:14:18--> 00:14:48

advanced theology, we go into this in a lot of detail in those classes. But to summarize, you do have a spectrum of, you know, schools and interpretations. And if you go to any advanced seminary, if you teach, if you study with any scholar, advanced theology, frankly, even intermediate, frankly, even very basic theology, if you do any textbook that is written in the last, you know, 1400 years of Islam, to be honest, 1300 years, excuse me.

00:14:50--> 00:15:00

You will find this attribute this issue of the attributes of Allah to be a very central concept of Islamic theology at the texture

00:15:00--> 00:15:38

Will level meaning when you study a book that a theologian has written trying to teach you Islamic theology, no matter what, no matter what group you go to, this will be a very main portion of that classical textbook or even modern textbook and that is how do we understand the divine attributes and you have so many different formulated creeds, this is a been there done that deal, meaning that you already have the Creed's and the methods and the fibrox already formed. So you have the 30 Creed, you have the Ashanti creed, you have the maturity creed, you have the more ethnicity creed, you have a decree, you have the older code, you have the ethnicity, creed, you have all and you have

00:15:38--> 00:16:28

others, by the way, you have all of these been there done that this is a discussion that no exaggeration, hundreds of 1000s, not hundreds and 1000s, hundreds of 1000s of treatises and counter treatises and refutations and counter refutations have been written. And you find that generally speaking, those theologians who study many years in the sciences, they become very passionate about their schools interpretation. And they view their schools interpretation as being not just the only valid one. But to the point that if somebody disagrees with that interpretation, they are incorrectly guided, they are heretical, or they are deviant. They are bad muslims for holding this

00:16:28--> 00:16:49

theology. And it is all too common to find people who criticize in a very harsh manner, other movements and groups that have alternative opinions. And I would say that, and I speak as somebody who used to be like that a decade ago or so, I would say that this type of misguided

00:16:50--> 00:17:31

enthusiasm is simply not useful for the oma for many reasons. Now is not the sculpting time to go into all of them. But I think the most obvious one is that those people who dive deep into these issues, and they spend many years studying these issues of how we understand the attributes of a law, what does it mean, when a law says what, or a book or a rockmount or Alicia Stella or Bella Docomo Soltani? What do all of these mean? And they learn and they read and they listen to their teachers. What happens is after a while, they become disconnected from the average Muslim who comes and prays and reads the Quran and wants to come closer to Allah subhana wa Tada. And they surround

00:17:31--> 00:18:13

themselves with people of one like minded nature. And they forget the average Muslim outside of that bubble that they have created in their seminaries and amongst their peers. The average Muslim really is not troubled or bothered or concerned with the deeper implications and the ramifications of what exactly does this mean, if we do this, then that the average Muslim is reading the Quran, wanting to enter agenda, wanting to worship Allah subhana wa Tada. So when the advanced student of knowledge who has studied these textbooks with his or her, you know, teacher now goes out of the seminary and starts lambasting and criticizing other Muslims for this and that the average Muslim has never heard

00:18:13--> 00:18:56

of these controversies, the average person is clueless as to what this group and that group says, and frankly, brutally honest, it's not going to increase their Eman to learn the deviations of other groups. So it is a mistake, in my humble opinion. And this is what I have been doing for the last decade or so it is a mistake to bring these classical debates that took place between various theologians of various schools, it is a mistake to bring them to the member or the pulpit of the question. It is a mistake to introduce your average Muslim to these issues, and it is best to gloss over them. And even if you hold a position, and obviously every theologian and every advanced

00:18:56--> 00:19:41

student is going to hold the position, there is a time and a place and an audience and the language I repeat, there is a time and a place and an audience and a language to bring up these very difficult topics of what does it mean that Allah is coming down on the day of judgment? What does it mean that the senator, really no matter what position you follow, feel free to you know, defend it in a legitimate manner, but in the audience that is going to be affected by it. And it is not my philosophy, to nitpick and find the mistakes of other people. And frankly, we have Far Far, far bigger issues facing our oma then the inter Sunni an interest Sunni because even within Sunni Islam,

00:19:41--> 00:19:59

you have various strands, even within Sunni Islam, you have various interpretations and of course, outside of Sunni Islam, you also have various interpretations and the average Muslim and that is like 90 to 95% of the time I would say the issues that are troubling them that are problematic to them have nothing

00:20:00--> 00:20:42

to do with the classical controversies between the Shai era and Mr to read these in the Morteza and the 30s and the body, this is all gone, we have to worry about far bigger issues. So, I do not advise any of the advanced students or the even the scholars with my utmost respect to all of them to bring these issues and start causing fitna amongst the Muslim masses. Yes, teach it in the right audiences amongst advanced students of knowledge that are studying full time and in those audiences, you can explain the back and the forth nonetheless, because we have come to this issue. And because I do know that a lot of people are watching these videos and there will be some, some generic

00:20:42--> 00:21:25

confusion I need to be somewhat you know, generic, I'm not going to go into a lot of detail. Just realize that these types of ahaadeeth and versus what for example, what job or a book your Lord is going to come or what Yeah, yeah, tiara book that are they waiting for Elijah to come? These types of verses and a Hadith, we find two camps if you like, there's more than two, but for our purposes, we'll keep the two. And the first of them is to basically take what the Quran and Sunnah says, and say that look, Allah and His Messenger, they know the Arabic language, obviously, you know, they are the ones who speak it, and they're the ones that are really revealing the Koran in it. And so we

00:21:25--> 00:22:13

shouldn't try to reinterpret what Allah himself says. And they say, that if Allah azza wa jal uses any word that is an attribute of his, or the Prophet system, ascribes In a word, an attribute to Allah subhanho wa Taala, it's not our position to negate that word. Rather, we accept this word, and we leave its reality to Allah subhana wa Tada. And I'll give you a simple example. We all understand that Allah is high, we all understand what the meaning of Hey, is, that the one who has life we all understand Allah is a semir that a lot of xojo can hear and Allah is able see that a lot of xojo can see we all understand that a lot is admittedly a hobby and I learned well, who you that he knows

00:22:13--> 00:22:55

everything. Does anybody think too deeply about how does the law here and how does the law say no, we're not supposed to think about it. In fact, even if we try to think our minds would fall short, and to try to imagine Allah subhana wa tada is itself a problem and a sin because our minds can never comprehend Allah subhana wa Tada. And that is why Allah says LASIK, admittedly he she, there is nothing like Allah subhana wa Tada. There is nothing like a love we cannot imagine a law we cannot understand the attributes of Allah. So when Allah is communicating to us, in the Arabic language, the Quran is in Arabic, as soon as in Arabic, when Allah is communicating to us in the

00:22:55--> 00:23:42

Arabic language, we understand the word, but we will never understand how that concept exists in Allah subhanho wa Taala. nor are we required to understand that concept. And this is the position of many of the early scholars of Hadith especially, and the earliest scholars of the tab, determine tab, the tab here, only a medic was very explicit on this point, a mom and Bahati as well, a mama didn't humble many of the books that his students wrote, it is very clear that this was his understanding. And it is an undeniable fact that this is the interpretation of a large group from very, very early Islam. And just to give you one example, I have a book over here that is written by

00:23:42--> 00:24:26

one of the famous scholars of Islam by the name of Abu Saeed Earth mindedness, identidad. Me who died in the year 282 at hedgerow, this is of the timeframe remember Bahati, that's a very early timeframe. And he has in this book, the chapter bable, newzoo, the rugby yarmulke material, his sub, the chapter of Allah azza wa jal, coming down on the day of judgment in order to judge the creation, and he brings a number of Hadith and a number of verses, including the verse of Bukhara that Elijah is going to come for you let me know Hi, Mommy will melodica in groups of clouds and angels that a Lars was gonna come down. And then a didomi says that, and I quote directly from the book and my

00:24:26--> 00:24:59

version is page 93. And I brought this book so that you to illustrate to you that this is actually a very interesting, a very safe, a very nice methodology that goes back to very, very early Islam, and it is found in some of the, the most ancient books of theology ever written. So a didomi says, all of these texts and a hadith that mentioned that Allah azza wa jal is going to come down in the day of judgment and are going to come down to these timeframes that he is saying, I have found all of my teachers

00:25:00--> 00:25:48

Accepting and believing in these traditions, and I have not found any of them rejecting them until he's talking about another group called the Jamia, they came and they negated it. And they rejected what the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, and they began to question listen to this, they began to question How does the law come down on the day of judgment? Mm anatomy says lamb knuckle lift meritocratic a fee at the new Zoo de Heaphy de Nina. Allah has not asked us to understand how he comes while at ACU una neither even can our hearts truly understand how does Allah come when a second basically he shaped women healthy he furnish boohooman who feared an OC fat and be fair, be

00:25:48--> 00:26:32

fair, to him also was for him that and neither is the anything of the creation of Allah similar to what Allah subhanho wa Taala does such that we can understand what Allah subhana wa tada does, rather Allah comes down in a manner in a coup d'etat that he is capable of doing. And then he says, and this is something that Imam Malik also said, an Imam Malik died 179 hegira, even before a didomi by two generations, and many of the scholars said, he said, fell key for men who are Yoruba Cool, well, he man will be od Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa Jube how Allah does it, we will not understand but a man in what our Prophet system said that he will come on the Day of Judgment, it is

00:26:32--> 00:27:16

obligatory, and none shall ask Allah about what Allah does. And we will be asked about what we do, and allies which is going to ask us and so in this very, very beautiful phrase that the cave or how it happens, we do not think about and one other interesting book as well, you've all heard of Yamamoto, but he already mentioned the name of Imam authority as well. And Amanda Tolbert, he wrote many, many books, he wrote the book of Tafseer, which is one of the earliest books of Tafseer he wrote a very big book of history as well. And he else also has a book on Islamic theology. Very interesting. He has a book on Islamic theology and it is called top seed only know how

00:27:17--> 00:27:54

to proceed from Allah Medina excuse me, or it's also called the pursuit of new family manhood and the two names for it but the famous name is obscene female in Medina by Abu Jaffer Mohammed imagery of poverty and on page 145 and a top it is the one who wrote the famous Tafseer. He also says that Allah azza wa jal will come on the Day of Judgment. And he mentioned where jarabacoa medicos often suffer. And he mentioned helium balloon, Eldon, Yeti moi if you don't know mama Echo, and he mentioned the helium balloon in there and take it home and I could Oh, yeah, tiara buka Oh, yeah, the Bible is Arabic. So he mentioned three verses from the Quran, all of which mentioned the coming

00:27:54--> 00:28:38

of a lot subhana wa Tada. And then he says, rhetorically, are you going to believe in these verses? Or are you going to reject these verses? Are you going to believe or are you going to accept and then he goes on and he says, of course, we will accept what Allah azza wa jal is saying. And then he interestingly says, some people said that what is meant is that Allah will not come, but rather the command of a law will come without a book, the command of Allah, not Allah Himself. But then he says, look at the verse wotja, or buka, well, melaku sufferance of Allah, and the angels are going to come in ranks. So he asks, in this verse, When Allah is saying, the angels are going to come, are

00:28:38--> 00:29:20

you saying, No, it's not the angels, it is the command of the angels? If you say that it is the angels, then why can you not affirm that Allah Himself is going to come down? So this is an interesting narration from automaty himself where he is basically also affirming that No, of course, when Allah is saying, What job or book this means Allah Himself is going to come. Now, this is one interpretation. It is the interpretation of one school of Satanism, and it is definitely found in many, many early treatises of of Islam. And it is defended by later scholars as well of the likes of Amanda Hubby, and it'd been Tamia. And even though I am and many of the scholars who followed that

00:29:20--> 00:29:59

interpretation, it is not the only interpretation. There are other interpretations as well. And we find these interpretations, they go back to schools that are now called the mortality school, and other schools as well. And eventually, some of these interpretations are adopted by later schools like the shadow school or the majority school. And they said that look, when a law is saying words are a book, we cannot affirm that Allah Himself comes. And we have, for example, the book written by the great scholar, a woman saw Alma, Ed, the founder of the school and actually the wrote another very early commentary of the Quran and it is called

00:30:00--> 00:30:44

commentary that is written around the same time as buddy's commentary and materially died around 310 100 or so it is the same timeframe as Imam automaty. An email remark to add, when he comes to this verse, word job or book your LORD shall come. He says that, and I quote you from the seed that we cannot understand this to mean that Allah Himself comes, no we cannot understand what Jara book does not mean your Lord comes. Why? Because he says that a lot exists without a place. So we say that the commandment of Allah comes or the judgment of a law comes or the reward and punishment of Allah azza wa jal comes. And so he said, Allah Himself does not come. And of course, this

00:30:44--> 00:31:04

interpretation, it is the hallmark of the other strand of Satanism, which is the maturity school or the shoddy school, and this is defended by later scholars like your mama Khazali, emammal, Joanie, imahara, Dean, or Rosie availbale, and other you know, great earlimart, who followed that interpretation. And,

00:31:05--> 00:31:45

frankly, my sympathies are with the first school. But in the end of the day, the other school has existed. And we should not make this an issue where we should show any hatred or any animosity. If you want to follow the other school then, either way, I think we make a mistake, by the way we can mistake when we delve into this issue so deeply. And we forget the purpose of the verse itself. And this is a huge problem that both sides fall into both of these sides going back and forth. They forget the spirit of the Quran. Allah did not reveal these verses, so that we debate over the reality of what does it mean what job or a book well, yet tiara book widow, allegedly revealed?

00:31:45--> 00:32:28

Allah revealed it so that we feel a sense of fear of genuine terror that Allah Himself is coming down. Are we prepared to meet? It wasn't revealed that you start debating and bickering what is the reality? And what is this? And what does that? So I think that sometimes sometimes, both of these interpretations and their defenders do a disservice to the oma when they start debating the advanced technicalities, and they lose the purpose of why Allah revealed this verse in the first place. And so my point is, let's just gloss over that classical controversy. And I say this as somebody who clearly has an opinion, and who clearly teaches advanced classes in this regard. But when it comes

00:32:28--> 00:33:05

to now we're talking about the Day of Judgment, let's ignore the technicalities. And let us understand that the Quran is saying we're jarabacoa melaku suffer and suffer. And Allah is saying Haryana Luna Illa and yet to whom Allah, what are they waiting for? are they waiting for Allah Himself to come down in a surrounded by the angels? So the point of these verses, are you prepared to meet a lot on the day of judgment? That's the point, let's concentrate on that point, rather than the technicalities of what does it mean here and there. So, the coming of Allah azza wa jal, and however you want to interpret it, it is something that is very clear in the Quran and in the Sunnah.

00:33:07--> 00:33:41

And when Eliza is going to come down, obviously, the narrations both in the Quran and the Sunnah, they mentioned another issue. And of course, this issue will have the same spectrum of interpretation as the previous one does. So I'm not going to go into too much detail because now you understand the two paradigms. I explained to you that one group will affirm any word and they're going to say, we don't know how and we're not supposed to think about how and the other group will problematize the meaning of this word and say, No, no, it doesn't really mean this, it means that and my point is whichever one you want to follow, let's concentrate on the purpose of why this verse

00:33:41--> 00:34:23

and this hadith exists. And that's more important, frankly, than this advanced discussion, leave the advanced discussion to advanced classes, leave that debate to the students. Let's get to the Quran and Sunnah. And let's get the spiritual point of why is Allah azza wa jal saying this so the Quran mentions that your Lord was going to come down. And obviously when Allah azza wa jal is going to come down. This means that the believers will see Allah subhanho wa Taala. And that shall give them a sense of all and the sense of hope and expectation and fear all combined. And that is exactly what the Quran mentions. And this is again very explicit in the Quran. And in the sooner for example, in

00:34:23--> 00:34:59

sort of the Yama would you who neoma even now that are on that day, on what day on what day day of judgment, would you hold yo ma even now, lira with a bog in Iraq Be Here Now we're up with a VA. So on that day, faces are going to be shining bright Navara? Nobody, nobody needs to be shining bright. Now there are there going to be shining bright with a board. Why in our behalf now Veera, they will be looking at their Lord. So on that day, the believers their faces will be happy.

00:35:00--> 00:35:42

Excited, shining bright, they're going to be so happy. Why? Because they're seeing Allah Subhana Horta, Allah, and this is the greatest blessing. And this blessing it will happen on multiple times, on the Day of Judgment shall be the first time that the believers see Allah subhanho wa Taala. And of course the concept of seeing Allah. Once again, you have all of these advanced, you know, back and forth and I say forget all of that advanced stuff. Let's concentrate on the beautiful, beautiful verses and a hadith that we find. And let's knit and let's relegate the discussions between advanced scholars to the seminaries and let's keep it out of our discussions over here. The Quran and Sunnah

00:35:42--> 00:35:43

is very clear that

00:35:44--> 00:36:31

Allah Subhana which Allah will bless the believers to see him and it is something that we ask Allah subhana wa Taala for and this is something that again, is very, very clear that Allah says in the Koran, Lil Latina, so no, Allahu snur was Jada. Those who do good deeds, they shall get a husana which is one of the names of Jenna and they shall get the other more than Jenna itself. And Allah says in the Koran, and sort of Proverbs 35 lahoma Yasha una fi ha what a Dana moseyed. They will have whatever they want in gender, and we have something even more than what they will want in gender. So what is this thing? The moseyed and what is this thing the zyada lilina. So a listener

00:36:31--> 00:37:12

was the those who do good shall have the best gender, and they're going to get better than the best what is better than the best? And Allah says in the Quran, they can get whatever they want. And we have a prize that is even better than anything they want. What is this thing? Our Prophet sallallahu I said an explicit said explicitly said that this gift this zyada is the looking at the face of Allah subhanho wa Taala. And in the famous hadith of Amar, Eben sera narrated in the sooner Vivian merger with a Hassan chain, our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam made a beautiful direct to Allah and I have given a whole hug but about the door I think it is online. Give it four or five years

00:37:12--> 00:37:58

ago, but the first phrase in it or one of the phrases and as you say, the famous how do you develop a mode of vinyasa? Allahumma in the Luca letter, Nova de illogical Kareem was shown in the field at la madera. Well, I fit nuttin medela Allah, I asked you this is a hadith I asked you, Oh Allah for the sweetness let the for the sweetness of looking at your noble face. So the Prophet system is asking Allah that Allah, I want to look at your noble face, which shows the inadequacy and I want to be excited to meet you. Why? Because the believers will be excited to meet Allah subhanho wa Taala and the hypocrites and then when I feel old, and the kuffaar will be dreading to meet Allah so the

00:37:58--> 00:38:53

believers will be excited and the Prophet says something Oh Allah, I want to be excited to meet you. I want to be of those who are going to see you and I want to have the sweetness of looking at your face and Allah subhana wa tada mentions in Surah Al Motta 15, verse 15. So that Animoto 15, verse 15, can in the home are robbing him Yeoman even lemma jus boon, no, on that day, meaning the day of judgment on that day, yo Ma, even those people who rejected me, they shall be veiled from their Lord are robbing him, man Jube from a job by job, they shall have a hijab, a veil between me and them in a very sharp very Mr. Michel fury, who died two or 400 very early in Islam. He said, When Allah

00:38:53--> 00:39:41

subhana wa Taala is going to avail himself from the cafe. This shows that he shall reveal himself to the men What a beautiful extraction, Allah is saying, those people they shall not see me. They shall be a veil. Which means what the other people will say Allah subhana wa Tada. Now, what if somebody were to say Hold on a sec? How can we see Allah when Allah says in the Quran, lanta, Ronnie, you shall not see me and this is something very explicit. And Allah says in the Quran, learn to decode, absorb and eyes cannot see Allah eyes cannot encompass a lot. And the answer to this is that Firstly, as for the verse lenta, Ronnie, it is in context and the context is Musa alayhis salaam,

00:39:41--> 00:40:00

asking Allah Subhana Allah to Allah, Allah be added, he unloaded a lake. He said, Musa said, Oh Allah, let me see you. And Allah said, Allah lenta Ronnie, you cannot see me almost in this weak, fragile human state that you're in, in the state of flesh and blood. You cannot

00:40:00--> 00:40:44

See me and I will demonstrate to you that you cannot see me and Allah subhana wa tada philomath agenda Boudin Jabari, Allah azza wa jal displayed himself to the mountain and Giada who can the Jebel the mountain fell down completely crumble crumbled. And Moosa fainted because of that. And so most has said to panic I seek refuge in You are exalted, I know I cannot see you. So when Allah said to Moosa, you shall not see me, this is not a permanent negation, it is a negation in the context of the question I want to see, you know, you cannot see me right now, Allah azza wa jal cannot be seen by flesh and blood life, the life of this dunya our flesh and blood bones, our weak fragile bodies

00:40:44--> 00:41:32

cannot see a lot of xojo in this state, but the state of the art hero is a different state. The state of the art hero is another state and in that state, yes, indeed, the Quran and the Sunnah is very explicit that the believers shall see Allah subhana wa Tada. And as for the verse law to the recoil of the soul, what will you absorb? What will that do for Kabir? That eyes cannot encompass a law and a law encompasses all eyes, our scholars mentioned that Allah is not negating he can be seen a lot is negating that he can be encompassed in the rock, and the drug is a higher level than seeing a dog is to be fully aware of and to be fully surrounded. And Allah is saying, eyes cannot fully

00:41:32--> 00:42:06

surround me I'm too magnificent for the AI to fully comprehend and understand the level of Iraq is a higher level than that of bustled or that of another. And this is very explicit in the Quran that we don't quote the Quran ignoring other verses of the Quran, the same Koran that says law to the equal absorb also says would you who Noma dinero get out of Bihar. Now there are on that day faces will be shining bright because they will be looking at Allah subhana wa Tada. And there are many many evidences of the

00:42:07--> 00:42:45

the fact that Allah subhana wa tada will be seen on the day of judgment and in fact, I wanted to bring to you a famous Hadith which is in Sahih, Al Bukhari and Sahih Muslim it is more difficulty which is the highest level of Hadith As you know, there is no Hadith that is more authentic than with difficulty. And it is a very, very beautiful Hadith with so many benefits and unhemmed that are one of the things that I like about these classes that I'm teaching is that you know, usually I say that Oh, there is no time to do this time is always limited. And I just zoom over when it comes to the series of classes that I'm doing about the scientific judgment about the boat is off and about,

00:42:45--> 00:43:22

you know, Fiamma and then inshallah we're going to heaven in hell Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah I want to be very very comprehensive and exhausted to the point of really covering not just the basics not just intermediate but really doing it at the most advanced level ever done in the English language. That is my goal for many of these series The Sierra and whatnot that this is my goal to do something inshallah male except for for me, that is my goal. And therefore when it comes to these issues, if it's related to the topic, as for advanced theology is not related to the topic, this topic is related. So I wanted to quote you a very long hadith of Sahih Bukhari Sahih. Muslim has more

00:43:22--> 00:43:58

difficulty, and it is all about the Day of Judgment. And it is something that is very pertinent. Now, this hadith talks about seeing Allah, but it also talks about many other things on the Day of Judgment. So chronologically, it's not quite all of it pertinent right now, but it will be useful and I'm going to be telling you remember that Hadeeth we did remember we talked about that long heading, I'm going to be saying this inshallah down the line. So please keep in mind, this is the idea that we're going to do and it is a beautiful, beautiful Hadith reported once again, in both Bukhari and Muslim and I wanted to actually quote you the original itself from cyber hottie in my,

00:43:59--> 00:44:14

in my version that is a federal body's volume 13 page 430 Hadeeth number 7437 7437, which is a very beautiful Hadith about the Day of Judgment.

00:44:16--> 00:45:00

One of the highlights of the law one and by the way, the chapter of Emmanuel Bahati is in his book of tohei, due to the very last chapter, he could have a door he and chapter regarding the statement of Allah subhanho wa Taala that faces shall be bright on that day because they will be looking at Allah subhanho wa Taala. So he is proving that the believers will see Allah subhanho wa Taala the Hadith is from Abu hurayrah that and the NASA Adria, rasulillah headed up by yom Okayama. The people said, O Messenger of Allah, will we see a law on the day of judgment? Can you get more explicit than that? Will we see a law on the Day of Judgment Hello, Robin Sharma.

00:45:00--> 00:45:07

Allah, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam responded hello to door ruiner Phil comedy later till better?

00:45:08--> 00:45:56

Does it irritate you? Does it harm you to look at the full moon and the night of the clear moon that the full moon that is there the latest better is when the 14th of the night the 14th of the Islamic month, right on the 14th Night of the Islamic calendar, the moon is absolutely full. And when you look at it, it's so beautiful. It's magnificent. We can see it. Our Prophet system is saying, does it irritate you? Does it harm you to look at the full moon in the middle of the month? They said O Messenger of Allah, not at all. The Prophet system says, Are you able to see the sun on a day when there is no clouds? They said yes, indeed, oh messenger of Allah. So then he said, so then No, no,

00:45:56--> 00:46:37

that you shall see your Lord on the day of judgment in that manner, you're going to see Allah subhanho wa Taala, the way you're looking at the sun and more like you can see them up there, very clear, you're not harmed by it, you're not irritated by it, you can see it, it's there clearly, you will see Allah subhana wa tada on the Day of Judgment. And you will see a lot the day that Allah that Allah met gathers all of mankind on the Day of Judgment. And it will be said, and this is of course, a very deep idea. So I'm going to go on now, it will be said that let everybody follow the icon they used to worship. So whoever used to worship the sun will go to the sun, whoever you

00:46:37--> 00:47:28

worship, the moon will go to the moon. Whoever used to worship the false gods will go to the false gods. And this oma shall remain because there is no place to go. Any Ulla will say, or maybe the angel will say it's not clear, Allah will say or the angel will say, every group should follow the God that they worshipped. And so every single group is going to go to its God. Every single group will find, you know, whether it was across whether it was this whether they're going to go to that direction, and this oma shall be left. And Allah subhanho wa Taala will come to them and say, hon, come, I am your Lord. Pharaoh, Kowloon has mercadona hedayati an Arab buena are born out of na. They

00:47:28--> 00:48:17

will say this is where we will remain until our Lord comes to us. And when he comes to us, then we will recognize him fire to whom Allah Houthi surah t lettieri foon. Allah will come to them in a manner that they will recognize fire Ooh, hon, come and he will say I am your Lord fire una Antara buena and they will acknowledge Yes, indeed You are our Lord, fire Tabby Runa who and they will follow him. Now this we are jumping over other issues that will take place of the hisab and of the meezan and of the hour. We're going to do all of this bit by bit. So remember this hadith is summarizing various aspects of the Day of Judgment, but at some point in time, the Muslims will

00:48:17--> 00:49:04

follow Allah subhanho wa Taala and the Hadith goes on. Well, but it was set out by Navarra jahannam. And the bridge is going to be laid in between the two places of jahannam for akun and our Almighty Allah when you Jesus, the prophet system said myself and my Ummah shall be the first that is going to cross over the Surat. So Allah subhana wa tada will lead the Muslims to a place where then they have to cross over the Surat and the Prophet says will be the first to cross over the Surat and his own man that is us will be the first to follow. While I have taken them Yama, Eden in the Russell what our grocery oma is Allahumma Selim, Selim, and no one shall be speaking at that point in time,

00:49:04--> 00:49:47

except for the prophets, there shall be such dread, such terror that no one will say a word other than the prophets. And what will the prophets say? Allahumma. Selim, Selim Oh Allah peace, peace, every prophet is going to be asking for security for their own. Well, he Johanna makalah Liebe Mithra Shaka sadden and coming from Johanna they're going to be hooks, like the thorns from the trees of Sidon. The profitsystem said Do you know the trees upside down? It's a type of tree that was common in a certain area of the hedges. And so he says Do you know the trees that have these long, prickly thorns? They said yes, we know. So he said it will be like those or even bigger and no

00:49:47--> 00:49:59

one will know its size other than Allah subhanho wa Taala and it will come from jahannam and it will drag some people down based upon their deeds for a woman whom will harden

00:50:00--> 00:50:39

will emerge as a winner who some people will slip from the Surat, some people will be dragged down, and some people will be able to go onward. So this is we're talking about this at Alton Sharla. In a few weeks, whenever we get there, there will be something called the bridge, and the bridge will be over jahannam. And once you cross it, then gender is on the other side. After an area we're going to talk about that as well and shallow data, but not everybody will cross the set off. There will be some people who were Muslims in this world outwardly, but they did not have a human in their hearts We seek refuge or there will be some people who were Muslims, but their sins were so so so many that

00:50:39--> 00:51:24

they don't deserve to enter gender immediately. And so some of them will be four taken from the set off. Either they will slip themselves or they're going to be a hoax coming from jahannam and take them down and some people will pass through without any irritation or harm whatsoever. And the Hadees then goes on that after Allah subhanho wa Taala has finished all of the other all of the decrees between the creation, then he will ask the angels and he will ask the people that whoever testified law, a law in the law without any shake, they can be taken out of jahannam no pause here. This is the shefa remember we talked about the shefa This is the concept of Shiva, the prophets, the

00:51:24--> 00:52:13

angels the righteous. And this hadith says they shall recognize them be Methodists. sujood, Kuru No, even Adam in the author of sujood, the fire will eat the person except for the place he did such the How to Ramallah, who are the nerdy and cooler author of sujood, Allah has made it how wrong for the fire to eat the remnants of the sajida fire Hello, gentlemen Inari for them to haishu they will be taken out of jahannam certain groups of people and they will be charred, they will be burnt to a crisp for you to have a fundamental issue, they're burned to a crisp for your sobriety him will hire they will be poured upon a water that is called the water of life find butanna data who they will

00:52:13--> 00:52:59

flourish under that water come a tumble to two families save just like the seed will flourish, when there is water that is pouring over it. When there's a gush of water coming, the seat is going to flourish, flourish. And then and there's a beautiful point over here. And then there will be one person who will be taken out of jahannam by somebody, either an angel or a friend or a prophet, we don't know who he will be taken out of jahannam. And he will be left there outside of Johanna. And his face will be towards Johanna. And he cannot move it anywhere else because that is his punishment right now. And so he will This is the profitsystem said the last person to exit the fire of hell.

00:52:59--> 00:53:47

And enter Jannah. And he will exit jahannam at this stage, and his body is outside, but his face is facing jahannam and so he will stay there for as long as Allah wills him to stay. Then he will say, oh my lord, can you please turn my face away from Jana? Because the heat of jahannam and the stench of jahannam it is harming me. And so Allah will say to him, oh servant of mine. If I give you this, will you be happy? You're not going to ask for anything more are you? And the servant will say La Exotica la la casa Whoa, I swear by your honor over law, I will never ask you anything more. I'm happy to be out of jahannam now that I'm here in neutral ground, and humbled and I'm happy but just

00:53:47--> 00:54:29

turn my face away. And I'll be never asked you anything more. And he will continue to promise a law that I'm never going to ask you anything more. And so Allah subhanho wa Taala will allow him to turn his face away from jahannam. But then, when he turns away from jahannam what do you think he's going to see in the distance far, far away, he will see Jenna itself. And so the Prophet says I'm said, for your school to Masha of Lavanya squid Subhana, Allah Subhana Allah, He will remain quiet, as long as Allah wills him to remain quiet. Now in this version, it goes on and the version is slightly Muslim. There are other details and he will say, Oh Allah, allow me to be a little bit closer to

00:54:29--> 00:54:59

Agenda Just give me some steps closer I can see it in the distance. Just let me closer. So Allah will say, Didn't you promise me that you would never ask anything more? And so he will say that, Oh Allah just this I promise you nothing more. So Allah will say so Do you swear that if I give you this you won't ask me anything more. So he will give our route and meet up he will continue to give us some to Allah. I swear I just want to get closer. That's it. Once he gets closer the headset inside a Muslim

00:55:00--> 00:55:47

He says he can hear the laughter of gender and he can smell the fate frequencies of gender. In some narrations, the same story keeps on occurring five or 10 times he keeps on coming closer, closer, closer, until finally the idea of the body then goes and jumps and says that, that Allah azza wa jal allows him to come to the gates of Jannah. And now when he gets to the gates of genda, he can see inside, and he can see the happiness of the people, and he can hear the laughter of the people inside genda for your school to Masha Allah who and yes, good, so he shall be quiet, as long as Allah wills him to be quiet. And then he will say, a Arab at hidden agenda, oh, my lord caused me to

00:55:47--> 00:56:30

enter agenda. And so Allah subhanho wa Taala will say to him for the 12th time, the 15th time now I'm going over this because other ahaadeeth mentioned so many times, and I'm going over to the end now, because our time is almost up, Allah will say to him, didn't you promise me so many times that you're not going to ask me anything more? And didn't you make an assumption that if I gave it to you, you're not going to ask me I got you out of jahannam. I took your face away from it. I kept you coming closer, closer, closer, and now you are wanting to enter gender. And the man will say, oh my lord, don't make me your most unfortunate creature that I'm at the gates of gender, and I'm not

00:56:30--> 00:56:51

inside gender. And you don't make me at that level that I'm so close and right outside it and I can see and I can hear and I can smell and yet I am not in it. And so the Prophet system said Jaco law who mean who Allah subhana wa Taala will laugh at this impetuous man, after 15 times is giving us some to Allah.

00:56:53--> 00:57:35

And the purpose here of course is to demonstrate dear human, dear mortal, never say to Allah, that you're never going to ask for anything more. Because we need a law. Every single instance one breath we take, we cannot expel it without the blessings of Allah and we cannot inhale another without the blessings of Allah never ever feel that Oh Allah, I just want this one thing and then nothing else Subhana Allah you and your existence you and your breath of air, you and your food and water you and your morsel of food and sip of water, every item you take, it is from Allah subhana wa tada Do not be so arrogant as to say, I just want this and nothing else. On the contrary, say Oh Allah, give me

00:57:35--> 00:58:10

and give me and give me because none can give other than you. And Allah I want everything that you can give me because you are adorable. And I am dived in to talk to you, you are the honey and I am the future you or Allah. That's the attitude the person should have. But this person, this miskeen he obviously does not have that knowledge. And he thinks I'm just going to ask this and I don't want anything else from Allah. But hold on. insulinoma Nigel man is so hasty hold on the central bar if a man is so weak that he thinks he can live without the blessings of Allah. And so the man says I only want this just turn my face that way, I'll let turns his face away. And he sees gender. And he keeps

00:58:10--> 00:58:49

on asking maybe 10 times a little bit closer a little bit. Every time he gets closer, the smell gets stronger, the laughter gets stronger. He's quiet as long as he can. Then he says Oh, a lot closer a lot closer, until finally he gets to the very edge of agenda. And he's at the gates of agenda he can see inside agenda. And then he says Oh Allah, please just cause me to enter agenda. And so Allah will laugh. Our Prophet system said, as soon as a law laughs the man shall enter Allah laughs at those whom he loves. So this man, whatever he did, he deserved Johanna, but he still had some good in him and our process and said, this is the last person exiting gender, entering gender. And so he

00:58:49--> 00:59:37

will enter gender. And once he enters it, once he enters it, Allah will say to him to Amanda, go ahead and wish and so he will ask Allah and ask Allah and ask Allah and then Allah will remind him of other things to ask until when he has given all that he can possibly imagine. The Prophet system said, Allah will say, you have all that you asked for, and 10 times this much. And the man will say, oh, a law? Are you making fun of me? Are you being sarcastic? That I asked an answer that I got out of things to ask you told me what to ask. I asked those things. Then you say to me, I will give you this and 10 times this? Are you making fun of me? Oh, a lot. And when the prophecies have narrated

00:59:37--> 01:00:00

this, he himself began to laugh at this same poor miskeen person, that Luke where he was and look at his whole journey. And now that he enters gender, and then Allah tells him go ahead and ask whatever you want. And when he doesn't even know what to ask Allah tells him what to ask. Then at the end, Allah Georgia says to him, let me through how washroom Italia, you will get all the

01:00:00--> 01:00:42

You asked for and 10 times what you asked for when Allah gives him this. And this is the lowest, lowest, lowest lowest person of gender, can you imagine? And we're going to come to this headed when we talk about the blessings of gender. Can you imagine the man is asking everything his imagination can have an Allah even reminds him of things he doesn't remember. And he asked those things. Then Allah says you will have this and 10 times this amount, and this is the lowest person of gender. What do you think is the middle? Or do you think is the highest of the high? You see, this man asked a law for what his brains could understand what he had done for us for the highest categories of

01:00:42--> 01:01:30

Jenna, what did our Prophet sallallahu alayhi Salaam say, See her mother iron blood? What are we doing semiotic? What a hot Allah Allah Allah Bashar, in that category of gender is that which eyes have never seen, ears have never heard, and minds have never conceived? We do not even know Words cannot describe what is in that category of gender, this lowest of the low, he asked what his mind could know. He asked the pleasures of this world and what he knew, and Allah gave it to him and 10 times, and that's great. But imagine the highest level. Words cannot even describe minds cannot even conceive. And that's the level that I want. And all of us should want. We come to the end of our

01:01:30--> 01:01:42

time, we'll continue in shallow data next week be the night data. And with this insha Allah, we ask Allah azza wa jal to give us life and to protect us and our loved ones. We're living in very difficult times here.

01:01:44--> 01:02:22

A number of people that I know have already been affected by the virus make dua for them. May Allah azza wa jal cure them and all of our loved ones and families that are sick May Allah subhana wa tada grant all of us, Shiva, Allah subhana wa tada grant raffia in our Deen and dunya May Allah subhanho wa Taala only causes to return to him once he is pleased with us. We ask Allah subhana wa tada to make the best days of your life the last days of our life We ask Allah subhana wa Taala that he only takes us when we say the Kadima of La ilaha illAllah Muhammad Rasul Allah, we ask Allah subhana wa tada for those who are either zelkova Herodotus Ramallah parameter la Baraka
