But who is it that has provided you the means to put clothing on? Allah subhanaw taala? What does this clothing do? You wear it so it

can it covers your private parts, because human beings have been made such that they don't have any natural covering on themselves on their bodies, other creatures, the way that Allah has made them the way that they're made, the way their bodies are, naturally their private parts are exposed. For instance, in animals, how are they four legged animals, how are they they are bent downwards. So as a result, their private parts are concealed because of how their bodies are. But human beings, they're different. And likewise, animals, how have they been created with something on their skin, whether it is feathers, or it is fur or wool, whatever it is, that covers them, but human beings

have not been created that way. So clothing, what does it do? It covers us, and it completes us. And at the same time, it beautifies us it enhances our beauty. So for instance, a person, they have a beautiful skin color. So clothing is something that covers you and it is something that beautifies you and

this shows to us that these are the objectives, the purpose behind clothing, what is the objective? What is the purpose of clothing, covering and beauty in covering? What did we learn? That covering is a priority. So if a cloth if some clothes are very beautiful, but they don't cover you properly, then should we choose to wear them? And also think about it. It's a natural desire of a person to beautify themselves, isn't it so little girls, even, they want necklaces, and they want bracelets, and everything that they see their mom wearing, they want it as well, right. And they see that if someone is wearing nice clothes, they will appreciate them. My

daughter is hardly two years old. And the other day was wearing something that had beads on it. And she wanted to touch it. And she kept saying beautiful, wonderful. Like, it's very nice. So even little children notice these things. And this shows to us that it's within our fitrah it's within our nature to beautify ourselves. So we should also pay attention to that, and especially sisters who are married, they should pay a lot of attention to this, why in order to please their husbands. But remember that when it comes to beautification, there's certain things that we need to remember. Firstly, there should be beautification. But that should not be the focus, meaning for the sake of

beautification, other things should not be compromised.

Other things should not be compromised, like what, like what gets compromised, for the sake of beautification, modesty, for instance. Because, you know, in different cultures, there are different standards of beauty. And every few months, every few days, every few years, we see that fashion, you know, it changes, so people like to dress up the way, you know, certain people are dressing up or the way everybody's dressing up. So in trying to beautify yourself, remember, don't compromise on modesty. What else gets compromised?

What else gets compromised when we are beautifying ourselves, what gets compromised sometimes? Yes, our time and our money that also gets compromised, that some people, their focus becomes just dressing up in the sense that every few days, every few weeks, every few months, they have to, you know, buy something new in order to beautify themselves with or they feel that I've already worn this outfit. And I cannot wear this. Again. I've already worn it to such and such wedding to such and such party. And I cannot wear it again. Because that same person is coming to this party, and they'll see me wearing the same outfit. But this is not correct.

Just for the sake of leaving a good impression on other people, and to show that we have a lot of money or that we have a lot of clothes, we should not be wasting money. We should not be doing that. Think about it. How much money are we spending on clothes? And how much money are we spending on things that are really meaningful that will help us in the Hereafter? And remember the Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu wasallam that the son of Adam says, My money, my money, my money, it's my stuff, my clothes, my makeup, my jewelry, my shoes? But what is your money? What you've actually used it so much that you tore it or you know, it became old and what you sent in the hereafter for yourself?

Because everything else what's going to happen to it? It's going to become somebody else's. It's going to become somebody else's.

I myself have seen suitcases literally suitcases of clothes being given away.

After somebody passed away.

They had a whole section of their house that was not being used. And in the closets. They had kept boxes and boxes and bags and bags of clothes and what

Are those clothes, huge jackets and different different kinds of clothes. And they were kept even after this person passed away, they were kept because the family felt bad about using it or giving it away, because our mother kept it, or a mother used it. She wanted it for herself. But then after an entire decade was passed, and that part of the house was needed for something, they had to get rid of all those clothes. And I saw with my own eyes, that those clothes were being given to servants. They were being given away for free. For no value whatsoever. People were no need of it.

So think about it every time you're buying something super expensive, or something that you don't need. Reflect on it that how is it going to benefit me in the long run.

And money should not be compromised on this. It doesn't mean that you should never wear expensive clothing. If Allah subhanaw taala has given you the means go ahead. But don't forget to spend in Allah's way. And don't forget to focus on your good manners as well don't think clothing is everything beautiful clothing is everything. And at hamdulillah the way that this coat drive began was at one sister, she got herself a new jacket and somebody asked her that okay, what are you going to do with the jacket that you have right now? So then they came up with this idea that why don't we start a coat driver, oh holder, so that all the people who have extra jackets sitting at home with they're not using, they can bring it and inshallah we can give it to the people who are needy.

And always think about it, that on the Day of Judgment, you will be needy of every little thing.

Every every little good deed, the Day of Judgment when the sun will be so close, and people will be drowning in their sweat. They will be drowning in their sweat literally.

So don't you want something to shade you on the Day of Judgment? Don't you want something to protect you on the Day of Judgment from the punishment of hellfire? Because what is it that will protect a person from punishment on that day, it will be his good deeds, they will become like a shield for him. We learned about this earlier, that will was new Yom in ill health. deeds will be weird on the Day of Judgment. So you want something anything to help you on the Day of Judgment. So if there is a jacket just hanging in your closet, bringing you no benefit, except that it's occupying space in your house, and it's collecting dust on itself. What good is it to you? What benefit is it going to bring you but if you give it in the way of Allah? Is it not going to benefit you in sha Allah? Is it not going to benefit you in sha Allah? And who are you trying to impress? Seriously, who are you trying to impress?

What are we trying to prove? With perfect hair or with perfect makeup? What's the big deal? If you're, you know, eyeliner is not perfect? What's the big deal?

Are you going to fail at your test or something? Are you going to become sick or something? What's the big deal? People are not going to have a great image of you. You know what? They'll forget about it because they're more concerned about themselves, isn't it? Every woman is concerned about how her hair is, which is why either she's in the washroom, or she's constantly checking herself in a mirror. Or if she doesn't have that she's taking her phone out and looking at herself in the mirror, making sure that her hair is fine or makeup is fine. Everything is perfect. time on this.

It is a need. Obviously you will have to spend some time on it. But don't make it a habit to spend more time than needed on just beautifying yourself. So don't compromise on time when it comes to beautifying yourself. And all of this can be summarized in one word is rough. What is this rough extravagance? But what do we do when we go in front of other men? Just cover it, simply cover it, wear earrings underneath your hijab, big huge earrings if you want most colorful if you want. But when you step out when you go in front of other men, then what does Allah say that the believing women should not expose their beauty in front of non Muslim men? That's it simple.

So what does Allah say? labasa Taqwa our focus should not be just on beautifying ourselves outwardly, but also beautifying our heart, beautifying our manners, beautifying our dealings with other people. That should be our main focus.

All of this is what beauty of the heart. And that is something that we must we

must focus on. Because if a person has beautiful manners, then it doesn't make a difference. Whether they are wearing silk clothes or cotton cloths doesn't make a difference, whether they were wearing the jacket which is worth $500 or worth $50 Doesn't make a difference. Why? Because their beauty will radiate. It will shine.

It will be far more effective. It will be far more catchy than a shiny diamond can. Right. So beauty, you know it draws the attention of other people. But the beauty of character that is far more impressive. That is far better. Because any person can beautify themselves in a tangible sense, right?

Any person can do that. And people can use many deceptive techniques in order to beautify themselves. Like for instance, someone has very short eyelashes, they go and put on fake eyelashes, right? Someone puts on makeup that conceals their skin so well, that they look very, very beautiful, right? Someone could put on certain clothes or certain kinds of shoes that will change the way that they look completely, they will change their height, it will change their figure because of the kind of clothes that they're wearing. Right? But when it comes to real beauty, which is the beauty of character, that is true accomplishment. That is true accomplishment, because that makes a person

look beautiful in the eyes of people and in the sight of Allah subhanaw taala. So we don't want to just look beautiful in the sight of people. We want to be really beautiful in the sight of Allah soprano third, and whatever that we were it should be labasa taqwa, meaning it should reflect by it, it should show that a person is afraid of Allah. Meaning the clothes that a woman wears that a man wears, they should be

Allah approved. Okay, they shouldn't be Quran approved. They should be sunnah approved.

All right, so nothing should be worn. That reflects disobedience to Allah. That reflects, I don't care what's mentioned in the Quran. I just care about fashion. She gives that a sadaqa but she's very careful about how she interacts with other people. She doesn't hurt anyone. The messenger of allah sallallahu sallam said she is one of the people of paradise.

But our efforts should be dedicated to one beautifying ourselves on the inside, beautifying ourselves on the inside,

you know, like, on your clothes. On your hijab, let's say the one that you're wearing right now White, if there was a big ketchup stain

much bigger and much worse. But we ignore them. And we don't think about removing them. We don't think about beautifying our heart. Sometimes we're so concerned about eye makeup. And we'll apply so many layers and a different product on every part of the eye. Why? Because we want our eyes to look just perfect. Something else inside something else outside something else on the lashes, and something else right under the brow. Right. And we'll use different different colors perfecting our eyes. Have we ever thought about perfecting our sauna like that? perfecting our recitation of the Quran in that manner, perfecting the way that we speak to our parents,

perfecting the way we think about other people in our hearts.

Think about it. We've become very materialistic.

And we forget what is most important. Whenever you're wasting too much time, you know perfecting your beautification, tell yourself, this body is going to end up in the grave anyway.

Seriously, you think your body is going to stay perfect always. One day, it will be put under the mud.

Think about it. People will wash you, they'll shroud you in the most plain clothes, and they'll put you under the mud. And what's going to happen to your beautiful eyes then, and Your beautiful lips, then what's going to happen to it, it's going to rot, it's going to decay, it's going to decompose, it's going to finish.

But the way you looked at someone

and the way you spoke to someone with that mouth.

And the kind of horrible expression that you made with your lips that is going to stay.

We perfect our nails. And we forget about what we're typing and what we're writing with those fingers, what we write what we type is going to stay in our record forever. And those nails, those fingers are going to rot in the grave.

So what's more important outer beauty or our actions in our character, what's more important, our actions, our character. So when he come, I just wanted to say that sometimes when we've displayed bad behavior, or we've been rude to someone, the effect is everlasting. So the blessings that Allah has given us, let's use them, but don't get too attached to them. So that our, all of our concern becomes our body and our clothes and our makeup and our hair, and all these products that we have to use.

Let's remember the purpose of our lives, which is to draw closer to Allah, not to beautify your body.
