Salam Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh Welcome to another segment of Hadith of the day where we take a quote of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and understand it in our current context, I'm sure that if you have been watching some of these previous videos of Hadith of the day, I'm sure you've been noticing that a lot of these Hadith are related to productivity and so forth. And that's exactly what my goal is here is I want to share some a hadith with you, that can hopefully make our life a little more easier and a little more better. And by the way, when you read books on productivity, and this is sort of a passion of mine, when you read books on how to be effective in

life, and you know, something related to How To Make Our Life Better Subhanallah one of the most beautiful things about about this is that we will find examples in the life of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam. For example, the current pandemic situation that we all are in is very easy to say that, you know, had these people done such and such, or had they stay away from such and such, or in our country, wherever we are from, you

know, in my in my situation from America had we done such and such we could have prevented it. First of all is that we should not make excuses in this kind of situation. Because, first of all, Allah subhanho wa Taala has already destined it, when Allah subhanho wa Taala was writing down the Divine Decree or as we known as Kedah. Then this is what Allah subhanaw taala wrote that in the year 2020, Common Era, a certain plague or a certain virus that will take over a pandemic that will take over the entire world. This was already decreed by Allah subhanho wa taala. But see, the point is now is that when do you do that kind of situation? See, there are two there are two types of people. When

something happens to you. Either you're going to become productive, or you're going to become reactive, see productive means, or I'm sorry, not productive, but proactive. So either you're proactive, or you are reactive. To say that you are proactive means that you know what, no matter what the situation is, I'm not going to make excuses, I will try to make the best out of my situation. That is what the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was, think about any situation that the promise Oh, he was setting was, he never made excuses. In fact, the Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu was something that I want to share with you today. And I will share with that I'll share

with you at the end. In that hadith, he says for In alone, the Who am Allah shaytaan that the same that saying the word if or only had I done this, or this, then this would have not happened to say something like that is opening the door shape on what does that mean? There's nothing wrong and having regrets. We did something and there was a result of that. And the result was not something that we wanted. Now inshallah next time, I will make sure that I do it this way. There's nothing wrong in

thinking that way. But if you think that if I done this way, I would have been able to change the decree of Allah. That is where we go wrong.

So that's why first of all, is that the the first lesson is that be proactive and not reactive? Number two is that we have to and we have to be understanding that there are certain things that are within our control and there are some certain things that are not within our control. And so when you see the life of the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam going back to being proactive versus reactive, proactive means that you're making the best of the situation. Reactive means that no matter what it is, I cannot do anything about it. So for example, in a time of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam think about this, how many situations where there is such that they were

against Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam? Did he ever did he ever say, You know what? I surrender? The ever say that you know what I give up? Because that is not what a believer is. Not only that, but not how many times did the Quraysh How many times do the Jewish people of Medina, how many times are the hypocrites in Medina, they tried to come and cause harm to the Prophet salallahu alayhi wa salam, but never would he react to the way they were treating him. Because see, being reactive means that you are weak. That's exactly what it means. It means that we are not in control of our own feelings. Imagine if someone could say something to us, and it will make us upset. That

means that we are so weak internally, that one word from someone else can really drive us up the wall, or think about we go outside, and the weather may not be the best. And that makes you angry, or that makes you frustrated. That means that we are so weak internally, that we that the weather can dictate how we will behave. This is what a reactive person is. You don't have you ever seen a coke can to imagine taking a coke can and shaking it, shake it, shake it, shake it. And what happens is, as soon as you open it, it comes I mean, of course because of all the fizz, and everything inside, everything just explodes, right? That's exactly what a reactive person is. A reactive person

is not able to control themselves. A reactive person is such that everything else is a problem. But what they're doing is not the problem. Today, we look at the Muslim world. And we say that, you know, it's the reason why the Muslims are in the situation is because of them. And because of this people and because of that country and so forth. This is all being reactive. Once again Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam never made excuses. Once again, Rasulullah sallallahu it is I'm never said I cannot do my job because the pressure against me, once again go back to the seed of the Prophet sallallahu. It was setting up a story that's not really actually mentioned in majority of

our books of Sierra is that when the Prophet SAW son was told to invite the people who are close to him, remember the first three years of the life of the prophet Sallallahu sallam, I will not call a secret Dawa. Subhanallah no matter where you see, Muslims are so emotional. And a lot of times because we're so emotional, we're not able to think with our heads. I remember many years ago, and I'm sure that if you're you know if you have been, you know if you've been there, I mean if you were born like at least like 10 years.

years ago, you know what I'm talking about? That there was a, a cartoon that was made of Rasulullah sallallahu. It was setting them by a French newspaper agency. And

you probably remember it as Charlie Hebdo. And they created some cartoons about the Prophet sallallahu it was sending them. Now when I go back to that time, and I just think about what exactly was the reaction? And how did the Muslim world react at that time? So Hala, it makes me upset honestly. Now, see, I'm not saying that if someone disrespected us who also Allahu alayhi wa sallam, we should just be quiet. I'm not saying that. Of course someone shows their disrespect to the Prophet saw somebody should hurt us. That's a sign of our iman. If it hurts us that's that is a sign that I love. Rasulullah sallallahu wasallam because if you don't love Rasul Allah, and someone

attacks Rasul Allah, then you're simply going to be oblivious to it, you're not going to care. So that's why when this happened, I remember that how the Muslim world reacted in some countries, I mean, people took, you know, people went became violent. And some countries, people began to burn cars, people began to burn restaurants, people began to burn other you know, just like cars and property of other people. And I'm just thinking to myself, that when you go back to the life of the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, people were people came, and they were on his face. They were verbally abusive to him. And what Allah subhanho wa Taala says prophesy Salam he says hola for more

Bella all what are the and Jackie Nene? Just forgive them, let them go and ignore them. They're ignorant. They're ignorant. What more can you do in that kind of situation? I mean, when you come across someone who's ignorant, you rather just let them be on their own way. This is why Imam Shafi Muhammad, Allah Allah so beautifully, he said that anytime I would debate with anyone, when it came to the Islamic sciences, I would floor my opponent. But when I came across an ignorant person, I can never overcome them. ignorant people are simply ignorant people. So here, these people, Muslims around the world were acting very reactive. They were acting very reactive. And they were so upset

that they had become so emotionally compromised, that we see what they were doing around the world. So this is why as Muslims, we cannot be reactive. As I said earlier, people came to problem someone who's so we're so disrespectful, yet he never He never reacted. And he never showed his you know, he never throw a tantrum. He never, you know, he never was begin to cry about these kinds of things. But rather he became proactive, you realize that you know what, I have to do more work. In one way, if you understand this term, there was a chip on his shoulder. Like he realized that you know what, I gotta prove something here. And one way he realized that, you know, these people no matter how

much damage I'm doing, they're not understanding which means that I gotta do more work. So this is why it is so important that as a Muslim, we don't make excuses any kind of situation. Ramadan is coming now. I'm sure a lot of us might be saying the same thing. That you know what had we been able to go to the masjid or if we are able to go to the masjid, that I will make this the best form of on I will make sure that this Ramadan is better than the last form of on. But remember again, as I said, a Muslim does not make excuses. Why because in this kind of situation, we will say what, how to apply this hadith in our situation. We will say that no matter what the situation is under allah,

Ma sha, Allah, Allah wants to stay at home. We will stay at home in sha Allah and we will still make this a great Ramadan inshallah we'll make sure that this Ramadan is better than our previous Ramadan penance that should be the goal every single Ramadan, making sure that our upcoming Ramadan is better than last year's Ramadan. And if we keep on making improvements in sha Allah will get better as a human being spiritually from a from a moral perspective will become better human beings. So this is the most important thing that I want to share with everyone here. Of course where exactly is the Hadith? I'm not sure that the Hadith yet. Here's the hadith of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa

A person who has physical strength, he is more better than the person who is weaker in their abilities, meaning that they're able to do more. And just think about this, a person who's more stronger, physically, they're, they're more able than someone else, they're able to do much more than the prophesies, some says will feel equally highlight that within every single person there is good. So you cannot say that the person who is weak, there is no good in him. Now the false I'm saying that within every single person there is good that he says, Every Salama young folk, he says, and here and Hastin and be eager to do that, which is beneficial to you. Once again, what does that

mean? Is that do that which is going to be benefiting to you, which means be proactive? What attaches and do not, and keep on asking Allah subhanaw taala and do not become weak, let that just means do not become reactive. If you are reactive, then you're simply making excuses. So that's why I ask Allah subhanho wa Taala that as believers He makes us strong. He makes us strong in our iman in our
