And most of us have some of it.

But we live in a time where our lifestyles,

our culture, the popular culture,

the material that we get, we expose ourselves, our hearts and our minds and our psyche to

counters this quality.

It kills this quality.

It wants to wipe it out.

There are many challenges that we have when it comes to a cloud when it comes to character.

And one of the challenges are elements in our society, external and internal elements that challenge some of these noble characteristics, these essential qualities.

And this is this particular element is under threat.

Many of us lose it.

We're born with it, we have it, many of us lose it or lose a good portion of it.

Some of us somehow we become

selective when it comes to this quality.

we disable it

whenever we can't deal with things or when we are preoccupied with our own desires and interests and selfish, worldly needs.

And then whenever it is, it's something that has to do with someone that we care about. We show it

and even in some cases, we don't show it the way we're supposed to.

This quality

we refer to it in the Arabic language as Rama

Or mahama and Allah subhanaw taala praises the believers

On a daily basis, it's just unheard of just a level of, of

cruelty that that that I didn't expect that I would witness.

And sometimes the most painful part is when you see, you know, people who are who seem to be religious or seem to be concerned about the religion, doing these kind of things.

compassion, showing compassion and mercy to children was was something obvious. It's supposed to be a natural, a natural instinct of a parent.

And now we have parents who their own careers, their own success, their own fame, their own wealth, what people say about them columnists, what the community is going to their reputation. So fake reputation.

The reputation is more important than the safety and that the and and the interest and the prosperity and the guidance of their own children.

Be careful from condemning or judging other people.

Be careful about gossiping about other people.

Be careful about offering advice to people when you have no idea what you're talking about.

I was talking to an expert in this field, and said, you know, it's amazing how people would go to parents and and, and and have children with a special need and they start offering advices Oh, you should do this. You should have not done that. You know, this, or they may ask some silly questions. Completely silly, ridiculous questions, or are you married to your cousin? Perhaps Mashallah. Amazing, just the level of lack of love and compassion and mercy and respect that sometimes exists within our communities. It's mind boggling.

And that's why I believe this this this art of compassion alone is an essential part of our lab. It just says a lot about the individual's upbringing and the individuals character.
