you find that this is a serious issue. When it comes to news actually most of what you see and hear and most of what people share has to do with this particular subject tonight in sha Allah tala, we're going to talk about the legal and social ramifications of slander.

And what Islam says about slander.

it's forbidden.

that you can do anything that might put it at risk.

spreading everything that we hear, spreading rumors, passing on things, sometimes people say things like, Yeah, I don't believe it. But it's being said, I'm just sharing. FYI.

when someone shares something with us,

that concerns us, if it doesn't concern us, we shouldn't even like worry about it. But if it concerns you, then Allah Subhana Allah to Allah says, Factiva, you know, or if I just have to confess, you

know, you're supposed to verify investigate the information, you can't just say, Well, you know, so and so told me, You can't believe everything. You shouldn't believe everything you're supposed to investigate, given that this matter concerns you. But if it doesn't concern you, actually we have another instruction given to us by the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam which is

is that they slander that they spread rumors and that they mock.

Right.

That is from the actions of the of the hypocrites. true believers don't engage in a slander the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam in this Hadith, I can tell you this hadith really scares me. Something that we need to take seriously the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam

He said, One who is curious for the secrets affairs of his brothers and sisters, he who follows and goes after the false and the secrets of other individuals, God will go after his faults. And whoever God goes after will be exposed and destroyed. Allah subhanaw taala will expose him even if he's hidden, even if he's hiding in his own in the middle of his own house, Allah subhanaw taala will reveal his secrets. And somehow I can tell you just from the very short

experience that I have this right, I have seen this happen.

I have seen this happen.

We all have faults. We all have, you know make mistakes, we all commit sins. We're all flawed. We all have

And if you feel that there may be a conflict, because of the relationship that you have, or because of the connection that you have, you have to you're ethically required to recuse yourself from the case. You cannot preside over this case.

Because we have to be impartial and you have to judge and rule based on the evidence

and not based on your feelings or your own personal you know, grudge or whatever you may have against this individual. You have to be impartial.

This individual regretted that and they're asking Allah for forgiveness, Allah will only forgive them if the other person the person that they violated the person that they they they spoke about

this is why it's something that we should stay away from

and avoid by any means.

I asked Allah subhanaw taala and and by the way, just just just it's it's better for us to be preoccupied with our own pulse

and work on them as opposed to having to worry about what other people are doing.
