Coronavirus and Hadith about Reward of a Shaheed

However, in every

adversity, we find true opportunity. And this is an unprecedented opportunity for some massive reward. Number one, it's an authentic hadith and it is reported by Imam Al Bukhari and this is his narration. It is also reported by an imam in necessity, and Imam Ahmed, but with the addition of the word Mortis even meaning seeking the reward of Allah subhanahu wata Isla,

in one of the two narrations by Imam Muhammad, he mentioned staying in their house or home

The importance of staying put and not moving around in order to help

curb the spread of the disease. And therefore, of course, we know the situation is a little bit different today because the Coronavirus has become a pandemic has become global. So leaving your country or city to avoid it seems meaningless. And thus my brothers and sisters a purification of intention is in order. We have to think that we are heeding the prophetic injunction of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam in trying to stay put as much as possible, such that even if we suppose hypothetically, that we are the only people that have been struck with this disease, despite that, even if I am able to leave, I would not leave because I am heeding the prophetic in

junction, son of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa salam, and therefore I am exercising patience, I am staying where I am, and I am not going to leave I'm not going to flee because I know that this is the other of Allah subhanho wa taala. We are taking all of the means necessary, but we know that in the end, it is the color of Allah subhanahu wa taala.

And one then may ask, How can stink put be equal to the reward of a shahid? This is because when you are doing so when you are not leaving, even if hypothetically, you had the opportunity to leave, and possibly to escape this epidemic, when you stay put in order not to spread the disease to others, and to make it worse than it already is. It is a type of self sacrifice. And in that sense, it is similar to shahada and thus they will have the reward of a Shaheed Allahu Akbar. Having said that,

the Hadith mentions three conditions, exercising patience, meaning we're not consistently complaining about this epidemic, constantly being anxious we're trying to display patience. The second condition is seeking the reward of Allah subhanho wa taala. We know that there is much reward in being patient in staying put. And thirdly,

the firm conviction that this is the header of Allah subhanaw taala Wallahi my brothers and sisters, I am doing everything I can and I'm sure you are taking other precautions as well. Instinct put in not leaving in social distancing in this infecting the house and maybe even the items that you are buying from outside. We are doing everything we can but if it is the color of Allah subhanaw taala we know for a fact that it is going to occur and that we may contract this disease may Allah subhanaw taala protect us. And if hypothetically someone is not taking all of these precautions, May Allah guide us all. Not taking the means necessary and Allah has not decreed that they would be

afflicted by this disease will lie they will not be touched by the Coronavirus. It is the color of Allah subhanaw taala and the end, but Allah subhanaw taala and the prophets our Salem has instructed us to take all of the means necessary and all of the precautions and insha Allah by the will of Allah subhanaw taala we will be successful, and hopefully we will not contract the disease. Several important things need to be said about this hadith. One may ask, Does this mean that if a person contracts the Coronavirus and lives through it, they will still have this reward they will still be like a shahid the correct opinion is that even if you contract it and insha Allah you live through

it and you are cured of it, you will still have this reward. Furthermore, and what is even more amazing Subhanallah and are inspiring is that even if you do not contract this disease, but you fulfill the above mentioned conditions, God Willing and sha Allah, you will have this reward. How Subhanallah even if I don't get the Coronavirus, I'm just sitting at home I'm just doing what I'm doing. I'm living my life normally I don't contract it. Yes. And this is these cases were mentioned and affirmed by an imam of an agile as Kalani when he was talking about this hadith

because if you contract the Coronavirus, and you die of it, God forbid you do not have the reward of the shade. You will have the status of a Shaheed and this is why he highlighted the distinction between the reward of Ushahidi and the status of a Shaheen. We know from the other authentic hadith, that if a person contracts this disease and dies of it, God willing in sha Allah, they will have the status of Shaheen, even though this is obviously less than the status of a Shaheen during battle. But the Prophet SAW Selim said in the authentic hadith will not ruin OSHA heed the one who is who contracts or is afflicted by a par own by any infectious disease or a our own the plague proper that

they will have the status of a Shaheed but here the prophets hadith is mentioning the reward of a Shaheed so necessarily this is talking about

The other two possibilities where if you whereby if you contract the disease and even if you are cured of it, if you fulfill the abovementioned conditions, you will have the reward of Ushahidi insha, Allah and even if you do not contract the Coronavirus at all God willing and Allah's Bounty is great, you will have the reward of a Shaheed, my brothers and sisters, this is a unique opportunity and an opportunity we may not get again. And many people may not have the opportunity of having shahada, the status of shahada, or the reward of Shahada. All we have to do now is to purify our intention and to correct it, and in sha Allah if we do so. And we have the firm conviction that

whatever afflicts us is only why the will and decree of Allah subhanho wa Taala and no matter what happens, it is the will of Allah subhanaw taala whether we contract it or not, whether we live through it or not. In sha Allah, we can have the reward of Ushahidi, I ask Allah subhanaw taala to assist us in doing so, and to protect us and our families.
