Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh
Yes name state and question please.
This is Amina Mirza and I live in Minneapolis and my question is I have I just go through your videos and your Facebook page all the time. So in one such radio recently which was I heard you say that wearing jeans is not a Muslim women's clothing. So my question is, is wearing jeans as in you know loose and long length jeans which does not show your shape of the body. Hi Ron, can you please answer it for me? Sure. inshallah. Sister Amina, I will do that Jackalope Helen Baraka Luffy Alhamdulillah wa Salatu was Salam ala rasulillah Chateau La ilaha illallah wa sallahu wa salli ala Muhammad Abdullah, who were a solo sister, Amina Maritza from Minneapolis, the scholars came up with
seven to eight conditions for the concept of hijab, for the essence of the word hijab to be achieved and accomplished the first condition, the cloth must cover all the body except the hands and the face. And when we say the face, this area when we wash for auto,
so the heel cannot be showing partially at all. So the face is this area right here. The area that we wash for this is basically the face for you. The hands as well there is permissible, it's permissible to show them but of course, I don't want to say that then you COP is the niqab is the the majority of the jurists ruled that the niqab is a recommended act is not mandatory, where you cover everything except the eyes, it is recommended, not mandatory. Even so a lot of the fuqaha a lot of the jurists ruled that at certain times at certain occasions places it actually becomes mandatory because of the amount of fitna out these so the first condition that that hijab has to
cover all the body except the hands, we're gonna go with the majority rules here.
And the faces, the second one, it has to be baggy, baggy,
meaning it has it cannot be seen through that's the third condition, it cannot print out the body.
Now, even so, you may wear jeans that
you know, loose enough that it's not tied, where the body is printed out. But the jeans in itself
does break your body that you're supposed to see a garment covering the body, not the body parts being
showing even through a loose pants such as jeans. So it cannot be number one see through it cannot print out the body. This is number three. It cannot look like the garments of the disbelievers of the non Muslims and jeans to begin with is something that was introduced to us from the non Muslims. Add to this another condition that really throw that concept of jeans or pants off. It cannot mimic or look like the clothes of men, because the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that law and Allah will Mutasa mahina Amina the Jelly Bean Nisa. Well Mutasa, behati mina Nisa region, Allah subhanaw taala curses women who try to look like men and curses men who try to look like women.
It's knowing that only men initially
introduced the wearing of pants. So in a way, you end up with two areas here. The fact that you're mimicking non Muslims and the parents do print do show the body the structure of the body, or the structure of the legs and the body.
In general, and add to this, it's
the globe of men.
The fifth condition here are the six maybe it cannot be scented, it cannot be an attraction in itself.
It cannot be libero right cannot bring an attention like you really are. You could be winning the cop, but it should not be attracting your attention. The sisters, remember,
every time that you walk around with that hijab with that garment on, you're worshipping Allah subhanho wa Taala just reflect upon this. You're doing this out of obedience to Allah subhana wa Tada. And Allah loves that Allah loves
wakulla lil Minetti until they believe in women. And then the Quran stated what should they do? So the fact that you're submitting to Allah subhana wa tada through the obedience of the command, once it came to the, to the hijab, this by itself is certainly an act of obedience. May Allah Subhana Allah strengthen your dear sister and the rest of the sisters May Allah subhanaw taala strengthen you Subhana Allah, you're walking against the waves
waves in this world now promoting nudity and promoting
you know, people disclosing their bodies and and here you are, you know, wearing your hijab and wearing niqab and sticking to this
I you know you're strangers out there and that's the way it is.
You know, Islam emerged as a strange thing and it will go back to be a strange thing. Just persevere and be patient. And do it this do this for the sake of Allah Subhana Allah to Allah and Allah subhana wa Taala what he will do Jazakallah Hara and sister Amina, may Allah reward you and we hope to hear from you once again.
