and so we spoke about having knowledge of who Allah is. And we spoke about

and having hope in his forgiveness and his mercy.

And we spoke about

being pleased with Allah subhanho wa Taala being content and satisfied with Allah as our Lord.

to follow that up by fulfilling

fulfilling that belief.

Our Eman is like a promise.

Make a promise. Who are you making a promise to? You're making a promise to Allah, you're entering into a pledge with Allah.

The question is, how many of us

have fulfilled that promise and fulfilled that pledge that we made with Allah? So this is what we call a secret mela. This is what we call a secret masala and this is something that only appears when put to the test.

And we pray to Allah and we worship a lot.

look at the lives of the companion

in all of their lives, whether it be the prophets and the messengers or the companions,

But yet, if we want to see examples of those who are true to Allah, look at the examples of the prophets and the messenger rooms when they were put to the test.

Take the example of Ibrahim alayhis salaam

he was not present. He had to go take care of, you know, his property, his farm.

And so the profit so long as you send them, kept a portion of the booty for him

to his companions took it and went to him and said, This is yours,

this is yours, this your prize.

And he looked at them and he said, What is this? said this is your share that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam has allocated for you.

You were one of those who had fought in this battle and

And he said to him,

or messenger of Allah.

It is not for this,

I have followed you.

Meaning

I did not accept Islam

and abandon the religion of my forefathers

and make hegira with you abandoning my land, for the sake of this piece of dunya

it was not for this that I have followed you.

But rather

I have followed you

accepted Islam and made hijra with you.

to my throat and he pointed to a particular place in his throne.

He said,

I have followed you for this purpose, meaning

and to give my life for Allah for doing that.

This is why I have followed you. He said,

I have followed you so that I could take an arrow here and die and energetic.

So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam looked at him and he said,

if you are true to Allah,

00:18:04--> 00:18:07

then Allah will be true to you.

00:18:11--> 00:18:15

If you are true to Allah, then Allah will be true to you meaning

00:18:16--> 00:18:18

if that is what is in your heart,

00:18:20--> 00:18:23

and you keep that clench with a lot in your heart.

00:18:25--> 00:18:29

And you strive for it, through legitimate means, obviously,

00:18:31--> 00:18:33

through the way that Allah has prescribed,

00:18:35--> 00:18:36

legitimate

00:18:37--> 00:18:41

fighting in battle, not illegitimate jihad.

Then

00:18:45--> 00:18:47

Allah will fulfill your wish.

00:18:49--> 00:18:55

If you are true to a warden, Allah will be true to you a level fulfilled for you, your wish.

It was shortly after that, that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam

into battle once again, with the enemy.

So this companion he came and he fought,

And so, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he asked, Is it him? And he said, Yes. So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, he was true to Allah. So Allah was proved to him.

He was true to Allah. So Allah was true to him.

That is the ultimate reward of being true to Allah.

Where do we need to start?

We need to start by turning to Allah, insincere and honest repentance. We need to sacrifice our pleasures for Allah sake. These companions these examples that we mentioned

who had first sacrificed their

inner desire

then they sacrifice their lives for a lot.

and not prioritize things. What we need to do is prioritize. If we can't

sacrifice our base desires,

our pleasures

then how on earth will we be able to sacrifice our lives for Allah subhana wa Tada.

our pleasures for the sake of a lot of the now at the end of Ramadan.
