Tonight, we're here with session three, which is on productivity in Ramadan.
Most of us tend to begin Ramadan with a bang. And then as the days go by, we lose or lose out on our momentum, the zeal and enthusiasm with which we started off. somewhere down the line, it becomes a little complex to manage our regular responsibilities, be at work at school, at the universities or even at home with our ibadah and this does make us feel upset that perhaps we're not giving our 100% to this blessing month. Well that's exactly why we're here tonight before Ramadan could even begin so we are so that we are able to plan out things from it on inshallah We have with us today sister Alma shark who will guide us and give us some practical tips on how to balance our responsibilities
in the coming from Adam.
Of course this to Allah is in no need of any introduction. She's quite an unknown, younger Muslim generation. Bismillah Alhamdulillah wa salatu salam, ala rasulillah are savvy he was sending a woman with a Assalamu alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. So Ramadan is coming up. And I know many people they have prepared, and I know many people they've come to a few days before Ramadan, and they're thinking to themselves, what have I done. So irregardless of where you are with that journey, I'm hoping insha Allah, today's webinar will benefit you as much as it's benefited me. And one thing I want to see, I'm going to speak about having a productive Ramadan. However, before I begin, I want to tell you how to have a productive webinar, how to make the most out of this webinar. Number one,
I want you to make notes. I want you to make as much notes as you can. Because the more notes you make, the more this will become ingrained in your in your mind, in your heart. And secondly, I want you to make a firm intention. I want you to make a firm intention that you will make the most out of everything you will learn today. make the most out of everything you learn today. And aroma mon is a turning point for many people in their life. And I remember
When I was young, when I first began to practice Islam, it was Ramadan when I really turned to Allah subhanaw taala Ramadan was that time for me, it was my turning point. And Ramadan was a turning point for the early believers. the companions of the Prophet alayhi salatu salam, Ramadan was the time when they really changed. Ramadan was the time when they really propelled in their Eman And you are no different. And that's why it's panela due to their dedication towards this month towards the month of Ramadan, they spiritually prepared themselves for the for the rest of the year. And that's why Subhana Allah when I know so many Muslims and I know so many people who come to my lectures,
they always ask me they I need some help you know i'm i'm struggling in this area I'm struggling in that area. Rama Bowen is the time for that change. Rama Barnet sets the scene for a better you for a better you a more dedicated you an alarm, hello dialer. He helps you through it. He helps you through your life. He helps you through the tests, the waves, the thunderstorms, but the fob effort begins with us. The effort begins with every single person who's listening today. I may not know who personally, but something binds us, what binds us, we truly want to come closer to Allah, Allah Tada, we truly want to come closer to him. And that's why you're here today. You would not be
listening and Allah subhanaw taala would not bring you here today. If you were not deserving of His love. A Lost Planet. Allah loves you. And that is why he has brought you here. And I want to begin with one thing. We have many brothers on today's webinar. We have many systems. And I have a message to the sisters. I have a message to the sisters, whether you're a mother, whether you're a sister, whether you a daughter, whatever role you play in life, I want to remind you that Maria alehissalaam was a single mother. She was a single mother. And I want to remind you that as Sally has said in she lived to with a domestic abusive husband fit around, meaning these women did not depend on their
husbands and their fathers and their brothers spiritually. They did not they focused on themselves. Maria Mahalia who sent him from a very young age as a teenager, she was dedicated to the worship of Allah subhanaw taala. As you as he sent him as a wife, she was dedicated to Allah, Allah. And that's why many, many times I know so many women and I so I know so many youth, they think my parents are praying, you know, they'll save me. That's enough. You know, and the sisters think my husband is praying taraweeh he's fasting, he's seeking knowledge and you know, that it's okay, if I don't go to Paraguay. It's okay if I don't read as much Quran or it's okay if I don't do as much as my husband.
Because he's, he's, he's enough for for you. He's not, they will stand for themselves on the Day of Judgment, you will stand for yourself and your deeds. So Ramadan is that time and is the perfect time. When you brother and sister. You work for your own image when you work for your own future. Because a lot of $100 Island knows what will take place in the future. A lot of $100 knows what test will hit you. And you will be alone in that test. Just like University Center. He was alone in the belly of the whale.
unicyclists Cinema was alone their use of holly Sinan, he was alone in the well, Maria Marley center. She was alone when she was delivering ice. You know, these prophets of Allah even edomite he sent him he was separated from his wife, hawala, his center, and they both sought forgiveness separately, they sought forgiveness separately, meaning think about yourself, this Ramadan it is for you. And that's why it's not your circumstances which leads you to success. It's not and that's why you know, when we speak about productivity and Ramadan, balancing Ramadan and responsibilities, it begins with the you your circumstances will not lead
Success. Many people think I don't have a practicing family. I don't have practicing friends. I don't have I'm not in a good environment. I mean, I may not have a surgeon near me, your circumstances, you know, they do not lead you to access to success, your willingness to change does. Marian hardy sit in she was when she delivered the Heiser bin Marion, she went to a community that did not accept her use of it sent him he was in a home where his brothers were not conducive towards him, they, they did not love him, you know, and they may have loved him, but they did not accept him. They did not accept him because they believed, therefore the loved use of Holly senemo and the
jealousy and the envy, they lead to so much turmoil in house of the Prophet of Allah, their circumstances did not lead them to success. The effort stayed. And many times many people, you know, I know they wait for the perfect situation. You know, that situation, you know, when that comes, you know, when Ramadan comes, or when, you know, when I get married, I will do more, I will do more. When I'm married, I'll wear the hijab when I'm married, when my children grow up, I will do more because now they're young, and they don't let me do anything. I'm a mother, I, I have a child, if anybody can make an excuse, it's me. And I know I can make the excuse, but I can't, I can't make an
excuse. I can't let my duties
distract me. I know my obligations, and I know my my roles or responsibilities, it is my duty to plan around them. And I know I can. Allah subhanaw taala knows our capability. And that's why I know that I must do more, I must prepare more. And this is
for you all, before we begin going through
the the tips I've prepared, I want you to really understand, the book begins with you. It's a thing we have meaning everything begins with you. Nobody will help you. And always have that in mind that Alaska, Canada, Allah will ask you about your deeds. Allah Subhana Allah will ask you about your habits. Allah subhanaw taala will ask you about your thoughts. He will ask you about them, how have you prepared? And this is why this Ramadan make it about you in this arena in this dunya that this arena that has been specially prepared for all of us. You need to take the first, the second, the second and the third step. And even when you fall, you have to keep going. Ramadan is about you, and
none of us, none of us should get left behind none of us. And that's why let us begin with productivity in Ramadan and balancing Ramadan and its responsibilities. And number one is change your mindset. So I hope you're making notes. If you're making notes make this is your first point. change your mindset. Ramadan revolves around change. And we're speaking about productivity around roles and responsibilities. Where does change your mindset come into it? change your mindset is the most important thing.
It's essential because one of the major themes in Ramadan is about changing you. It's illustrated in one of the meanings of Ramadan. Ramadan comes from aroma there. What does that mean? It means it's intense heat, intense heat. And many of you may think I've made so many mistakes. I've done so much How can I ever change or many of you, you you may start something and you may stop every time you start something you may not complete it. You know you think will will I ever change or you may believe that you can change.
Some of you. You can't change some of your habits which are tearing you down. But science tells us another story. My husband's an engineer, so I know about intense heat Suhana law you know
in engineering, the the most strongest metals are bent and shaped in intense
Heat, they are only shaped in intense heat. Similarly, Ramadan can Ramadan or will shape the strongest of sinners. And those people who are habitually scarred by their desires, Ramadan has the ability to shape you. But you have to change your mindset. You cannot be productive unless you try and change your mindset. Allah subhanaw taala he's allocating he's the most generous allows me to honor his aloha foo he will negate your sins, He will completely negate them. And a last $100 in the Quran he mentioned $1 It's so beautiful. It's so beautiful and you know Han Allah in the Quran, when you go through the Quran and I hope you go through the the the Quran and you will this Ramadan you
know when you go through
the Quran, you will come and you will see that there are verses and the verses end in the names of last palata Hello. This is common in the Quran. This is why when you read the Quran and you understand it, it's absolutely amazing. And I love Allah tala. He says in the Quran, he says wife who
will fill in Warhammer, what does that mean? A lot of the Hadith, he says, while for an, you know, linguistically a fool means to erase something to completely, completely destroy something and leave no traces whatsoever. So the person who makes this the heart Look at this, it's in the ground, the person who makes this the heart is asking a lot to make a fool of their sins. Oh Allah Do I have full of my sins and that means to remove them completely. And to give him a fresh start, or to give her a fresh start. Can you imagine that? Allah Allah tala his Allah Fu, he changes your mindset. So even before you begin in this checklist, and even before you begin making your goals, Ramadan, you
change your mindset. That is the alarm foo. And after Ramadan, I can be a complete new person, because he can do half full of new things. And then the last 100 ohana he sees, was Filipina,
you know, linguistically, offer a means to protect. And that's why in in Arabic, you know, a helmet, when you when you're on a motorcycle, you know you wear a helmet and you should wear a helmet, helmet. It in Arabic it's meant for, you know, the helmet, that helmet it protects a person from severe
surpise from
Sudan ally you asking Allah Allah to Allah, if you're not if you do not do our full of my sin. If you didn't raise my sneeze, then please forgive me and protect me from the consequences of my sins. Protect me. So Allah subhanaw taala he can do are full of your sins. He can forgive your sins. And then he speaks about his mercy. He speaks about his mercy and he sees what Hamner Hurrah His mercy allows palitana he has two names of men and Rahim Finally, you know, this is what you're doing brothers and sisters, this is what you're doing. You are begging the last panel to either you are begging him that if you do not forgive my sins, if you do not have mercy on us, then who else will
have mercy honest you are changing your mindset. The Quran is there to change your mindset and that's why they say Ramadan is the month of the Quran. Ramadan is not just about reciting the Quran. Ramadan is about
the Quran. Ramadan is about implementing the Quran. Ramadan is about and revolves around changing your mindset due to the Quran, the Ramadan, if at all. If Ramadan does not change your mindset and if the Quran does not change your mindset, then you've lost out. You have missed out. Let's face panela many times I know so many brothers
and sisters, their minds and hearts, they're occupied with limiting beliefs. They have so many limiting beliefs. And for those of you who are listening, whilst you're listening, I want you to, to, you know, think what are my limiting beliefs? What's holding me back. And
Ramadan is the perfect time to begin a mission to force these limiting beliefs out of your heart. I know so many people who believe that they can't do it. I can't memorize the Quran. I can't read. And I can't I can't complete the Quran. I can't complete the Quran in Ramadan. I'm not good enough. I'm not good enough. And so in Ramadan, you throw out your limiting beliefs. And that's why this short verse, Allah subhanaw taala, he tells us, not only can he completely erase a sentence, when he does it, it's a fresh start. Ramadan gives you that chance. Ramadan gives you that chance that you are asking for forgiveness, day in and day out. And that's why it's panela you know, the prophet Artesia
letter sent him when he experienced revelation, when he experienced the Quran. For the first time. He was absolutely terrified of sermon law. And he said at the same time, he was so scared. He ran, he ran to his wife, hottie God Allah and the Prophet alayhi salatu salam, he could have run to anyone, he could have ran to go back over the line. He could have run to Hoffman or the law.
He could have run to Holly rhodiola. And even though he was young, but the Prophet alayhi salatu salam, he ran to his wife.
He knew that it was only his wife that could reassure him. And she did, she reminded the Prophet alayhi salatu salam, that he has the capability to take on this task of a law. He has the capability to call people to Islam. And similarly, when Ramadan is approaching, I know so many of you are excited, and you're excited, and you're looking forward to it. That's why you on this webinar today. Do you know Allah, you know, you want our Lord to bring it to you. And that's why it's Hannah law.
There are a few of you, a few of you who may be worried, you know, if you fall in this category, I want to remind you, and I want to tell you, they you can do it. But as a busy person, as a person who may have made his mistakes or her mistakes, you have the ability to make the most of Ramadan, just like Islam is for everyone. Islam is diverse, it for people of all color, people of all occupations, all roles. So with Rama bond is full of opportunities for all types of people. That's why they say, you know, Ramadan, it's mobile, it's mobile, why the mobile, the more you give to them, the whatever you give to Ramadan, it gives you more back. You, you don't eat for the sake of
Allah. You don't engage in relations for the sake of Allah Subhana Allah, Allah subhanaw taala will increase you in the taqwa of Allah subhanaw taala will increase you in guidance, Allah subhanaw taala will kill you, a lot of hundreds of Allah, He will heal your broken hearts. This is Ramadan, the more you give.
And Subhanallah you can be a busy mother. You can have one children like myself, you can have two children. I know sisters that have five children, and you can still reap the reward of Ramadan, you can still gain everything from it. You can be a student who's in exam period, you know you there and you can still make the most out of Ramadan, you can be working 95 and you can still have every single sin forgiven. It begins with the belief that you have been given every single resource to live Ramadan to its fullest. You have everything a Lost Planet, Allah has given you the toolbox. You will always given the toolbox. It's up to you whether you look into your toolbox, it's up to you
whether you actually open it up and you realize I have so much more than I believed I did. I have so much more. So much more. And that it you believe in yourself. And even if you have little, whether it's time, if you give sincerely for the sake of Allah, Allah to Allah, He will transform your time. He will transform your money and ultimately, your sincere
At Intermountain, there's no comparison, give little with the best of intentions, and the last part of the haisla, he is most appreciative. And one action point that I've written here for you, is make a list of all the things you would like to improve on this Ramadan, everything you make that list and I want you to make that list that we've got, Mashallah, we have a great number of people, every single one of you, you make that list and you let this list to be a guide for eradicating these bad habits and sin from your life. You get rid of every single one. Because Allah subhanaw taala will aid you, he will help you, he'll give you the strength to do that. So number one was changing your
mindset completely. And I hope some of you in sha Allah have changed your mindset. Number two,
and we want to go on now is recharge your purpose, recharge your purpose. And last 100 Allah in the Quran, he says, all of you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting, as it will decreed upon those before you. So you may become righteous. So you may become righteous idea brothers and sisters in Islam. Ramadan is the time to recharge your purpose. And this leads to the question, what is your purpose of life? All of you think about it. What is your purpose in life? Your purpose and my purpose in life is to put a last 100 Tyler first. It is to prioritize him. And it's to seek righteousness, because he will need you to Jenna, because it will help you and let me tell you one
thing, this life is hard. I was reading on one of the comments that one of the brothers, he asked, you know,
he asked the brothers and sisters to make the art for him. Because life is hard. And this life is temporary. It's full of painful tests. And Ramadan is a reminder that you will not attain anything. Without hard work, you will have to put in the work. You have to put in the work. You have to force yourself to decline. You have to force yourself to do liquor, you have to force yourself to go to taraweeh How do you be productive, you recharge your purpose, and you make sure you do these things and you enjoy them.
And many of you will understand this concept for the women who are on today. And for those who are mothers. A woman carries her child in her womb for nine months for nine months to handle and I had my child early. I had my child at six months. But I felt it, you know a woman, she increases she experiences nausea, she goes through sickness, she goes through tiredness. But you know at the end of it, you know, she cries out of joy. She's so happy. The first time she holds a child in her hand. Many women cry out of happiness. They cry with you, you know, Hannah law.
She goes through so much for a masterpiece in the end for a beautiful child who she can dedicate to the last part of the haisla.
And even Marie Marie said, which was given the eisah she was like Subhana Allah.
You know, I'm having a child. It was such a big shock for her. But when she had her you sir, it changed her life. It completely changed her life and a student similar to me, some of you may be students. Some of you may be IOU students.
You may stress through exam period. But at graduation, you will find that you just be relieved that you pass the test this life, you know this life that you live in. It's the greatest test. It's the greatest test and you don't have an opportunity to take her retest. You can never take your tests again. or Amazon gives you the chance to revive your purpose before it's too late. You may not live another Ramadan. And recently some Han a lot here in the UK.
I believe it was Manchester. I read such a tragic story. And it was about three young men. They were killed in a car crash. They were killed in a car crash and one of the brothers. It was the day of his sister's wedding. And there was this really painful picture of the sister. She's in hospital.
With her Hannah, with her jewelry and with her gold on her hand, holding the hand of hiding the proper.
We we think some of us think we may live forever. And we may not think that but we may act like that. We may act like that. But you know, Ramadan, we have to live Ramadan, we have to recharge our purpose, and live Ramadan as if it was our last. Because I'll tell you one thing, it may be our last I do not know if I will live until next Ramadan. I don't know if I'll be here and with death in mind. But remember that Ramadan is coming to help you reform your behavior. It's here to reform you. And it's here to help you make it in line and that make you be in line with what Allah subhanaw taala wants for you. And that's why Ramadan is when shavon is locked up. But Ramadan is the time
when a lot of people do good deeds. And I remember when I was in secondary school, when I was in secondary school, you know, even those young Muslim brothers and sisters that would spend their time maybe doing haram outside of Ramadan. in Ramadan.
They completely changed some of them prayed follow, you know, they fasted and unlike Subhana, WA, if you look at the potential, look at these amazing people in Ramadan, look how shavon leads them astray. Don't be one of those people who Ramadan, you're amazing. And after Ramadan, you let go, you let go and you return to onself. Don't do that. Don't be like that, be stronger, be stronger than your device be stronger than your tests. And as an action biotype said that in every fall off, and you start that today, you make it one of your main intentions to remember that and use this painful reminder as a steering wheel to do more good deeds. But don't let the fear of death control you. We
are balanced we are a balanced
as when you let death control you. It's a trap of chiffon, we use it to guide you not control you, as this is the way of those who are connected to a loss of heritage either. So we have How do you be productive, you change your mindset, you recharge your purpose. And number three,
and this is important, and I'm sure you'll get this again and again. And again. You set some powerful goals, you set some amazing goals, the prophet of Allah and he said to sit down, he would complete the memorization of the Grand every month. That was his goal, by the way, he's go worth memorization, my, my re citation of the Quran. And that's why in this, this Ramadan in Ramadan 2016, you make a commitment to Allah Subhana Allah through your goals. This doesn't mean that you need to dedicate all your time to your goals. And here's the thing, dear brothers and sisters, some of you have work. Some of you have other obligations, other responsibilities. You don't have all the time
in the day you have to sleep.
But use your goals as a means to guide you to stay on target. The beauty of Islam is that every single action that you do, it can be transformed to an act of worship. So as you set your goals, you need to set a powerful intention as they as you intentions will give life to your day to day actions and they will transform them into mountains of good deeds and I remember canon law I share he wants to mention he says you know the Sahaba they had deeds the size of Mount Hood you know how I you know why?
They had deeds the size of metal heads because they need great intentions. your intentions are like gold. Nobody throws away gold. You don't throw away gold. You keep it you look after it. You know gold is so precious you give Zakat on it every month, every every year. And that's why it's Panama as you set your goals for the first 20 days of Ramadan. set some goals and intensify your goals in the last 1010 nights. So your last 10 nights is is the big thing. And that's fine.
I believe just a few days ago, and in the last few days I've been asked to do several talks in the last year.
10 days, and I was speaking to my husband, I'm like, oh, hamdulillah I've had an opportunity and then a few hours away. And he said to me, he's like, Halima, you know, it's the last 10 days of Ramadan, meet that time
to get closer to Allah subhanaw taala use that time to worship a lot, really. And he made me think, and I stayed, we still haven't made that decision. But it really made me think that the last hand Knights are really special. They're really special. And that's why I know several individuals, including my husband, they take the last 10 days of Ramadan off work, they take off, work them off work. So if you have the ability to do that, then make the most out of these 10 days. And I know that's not possible for everyone and not everyone is working. And that's why for the mothers, if you have children and your children are quite young, and you if you have the ability, and your parents
are nearby fairly nearby, then visit your parents stay there for a few days in Ramadan, because you can share the duties. And a husband can even visit his parents as a means of serving them, and spending time in their blesseth community being in their company. And the aim is that you need to
your worship, you need to find opportunities to maximize your your worship. And I know this Ramadan Personally, I'm spending Ramadan with my parents, and spending the Ramadan with my parents. So I have help with my child. I can help serve my parents through helping my mother at the time of cooking. And I can pray thoroughly. I can pray probably in the masjid because I know that someone to watch my child. So I am planning my Ramadan and I started planning my Ramadan within my means. And that is how do I maximize them. I maximize them by help by seeking help by those people who would lovingly give help to me. And that's why I have a few things, maximize your prayers.
Three Three actions you can't you need to focus on your obligatory plate prayers, your follow that is your priority. Your first end goal should be to pray all your prayers and if you struggle with pleasure, then Ramadan is the perfect time to solidify it
is the time to fix your chair to prayer. I know a lot of people struggle with this. And number two make the most out of you. So number three is unfortunately in our community, a lot of people have developed the habit of neglecting the NFL and neglecting this and
neglecting the NFL and neglecting the sinner. Let's say Ramadan is the perfect opportunity to pray all your all your summer your photo of your summer and you're nowhere fill because Allah subhanaw taala he promised paradise for those who pray that sin
and Ramadan is the time to you know go for Jin. Number three make tarawih You mean go
this is a big thing by the way. I'm big on praying for the women and the men seek out a massage it were a beaut with a beautiful reciter or the messenger whatever is close to you that is very women friendly connect with the Quran, Ramadan and todo We are the perfect combination for change and women should make an extra effort to attempt Harare if the April as Ramadan as Tara we will give them the spiritual sustenance that they may lack in other areas.
Time to go to to you know go and see canonical Ramadan, they may not have time to go to the talks. And I'm talking about our mothers and our, our you know our elderly or those who have a few children. If you're able to go and pray taraweeh It Will Really Help help you connect. It's a goal that I have in Ramadan, every Ramadan, I need to pray thoroughly. And I need to and I know after speaking to a lot of women, they become lazy at home. They become incredibly lazy. And if you know yourself, and some men also if you know don't think oh it's a sin every year.
It's a sinner prayer to get closer to Allah. Allah really need that effort and if you know yourself if you know you become lazy, then make sure you pray. Make sure you go to the message ID number to maximize the Quran recite the Quran in Arabic
At least once in once in Ramadan. This can be one of your goals, and it'll make you it'll motivate you to make the most out of your time. Number two, and this is important, it's a big thing. commit to a to c, or a Farhan Al Quran program. for him. algodon is a reminder where they go over the meanings of the Quran. So whilst you're studying whilst you're cooking, whilst you're carrying out household duties, listen to the Quran. And listen to the study of the Quran as it will help you understand the beautiful words that you are reciting daily or you're hearing is inter alia. And I remember when I was working, and whilst I was at university, whilst I was at university, I had an
hour commute and an hour commute to university and at work, it was pretty much the same. I would put my headphones in and I would listen to a lecture or I would listen to Quran I would memorize Quran, I would not let my commute go to waste. And Han Allah as women we were here you know, we were the humara. So we could we can put headphones in inside Mashallah I worked with amazing people, they had no problem in you putting headphones in and listening to the Quran whilst you're doing some work. And obviously, when you're at your meetings, you're unable to do that. But make the most out of every time you have, especially this is balancing roles and responsibilities. It's very easy whilst
you're changing your child, you can put a lecture on and it's very easy walks you, you listen, you're in the kitchen, just have your iPhone there and put a lecture on. So it's really about utilizing technology, and we cannot neglect technology in our day and age and use it to do some great deeds. And that's why even with the Quran, you can download some amazing apps that you can carry with you even though I love carrying a pocket pocket Quran I would call it carry a pocket called on to work and on the bus or whether I was on the train or in the car, I would recite it
and it's an amazing reads come closer to Allah subhanaw taala. And the final is maximizing your worship. If he care. If he has the Prophet sallallahu Sallam he would go to the message and he would not come out during the last 10 nights in order to maximize your productivity and is high better for the brothers if you're able to do it. It's it's amazing and as a woman as I've previously done it to care for when my father finally gave me permission is he would enjoy having it in Ramadan. You know, we Mashallah we're very family orientated, but he's one Roman law and my grandma, she's like, I really want to do it like have, and I turned around to my dad, and I'm like I want you to take care
of with with my grandmother. So we did it the kerf from the dealer, and it completely changed my life. It completely prepared me for a year of the a better, and I know in Sheffield, that are the two women friendly masajid where they allow women to, to do if he cares. So you have to find something in your community, but for the men if you can take advantage of it. Because our massages are very good with that. And if the women you are able you are single, and you know you you don't have any obligations or roles or responsibilities, take the opportunity because when you have children like myself, then you have to have behavioral flexibility, because you can't just pop out
of the house whenever you feel like you have a responsibility there. So really make the most out of your time. Number two is the heart. The heart is amazing. And I've written a book called the hearts of the superstars, and Subhanallah these amazing men and women were constantly making their art and that's fine.
So if you just give me
a second
Okay, Villa de la salud cinema hilariously language savvy. He was selling a woman Ola. That was a perfect example of your roles and your obligations. My husband just panicked. It's like baby's crying. Well, hamdulillah and this is where I bring in another point in regards to seeking help. And I always say that we have the opportunity to raise a generation of men who facilitate their women who really helped their women who really helped them progress and they can only and the women can only progress if they have the help of those
their loved ones around them. So I said the heart and when you when you fast in Ramadan
you are surrounded by you recited the eye when you close the fast when you open the fast and everything will follow should be full of the heart. If you're lost 10 days should be full of there are a lot of hundreds of highlight, you know, he sees that, you know make the art I am Nina, I respond to your prayers. And this shows that the connection in Ramadan is incredibly strong and make the most out of it. Let's find my my next point is focus on your opportunities. Ramadan revolves around serving people. Ramadan is a selfless act, it's not a selfish one, you won't be able to do everything you want. So don't try to don't try and do everything. Because you won't be able to focus
on what is in your capacity. And try and do it the best you can don't set 20 goals, set five set for set three set to even set one, set it within your capability. And I These are a few messages I have for the husbands and for for the brothers. Remember that taraweeh It's enough, it's enough for you and it's enough for your wife, if you have children and your wife is unable to attend, Penn take it in turns her spiritual state will propel as a believer, as a mother and as a wife. We always say that, you know, the mother, the women, you know, they are the mothers of the oma, they are but we need our women to be incredibly knowledgeable. We need our women to be incredibly connected with a
Lost Planet Allah. And this is how they raise a generation with the help of their husbands by being spiritually connected, and for a husband, that his wife for her spiritual needs as well as his own and his family's Association.
It will be immense and it will cultivate a deep sense of love between the marriage because you your marriage is built on building you both up, not one at the expense of the other. And similarly, for for the women as well as the men I know a lot of women you know, especially now they become so busy with university and with work that they neglect this help your mother and help your wife in the kitchen. You know, help them in the kitchen. There's nothing demeaning about helping or you know or cooking or serving your family. Rather, it frees up time for worship. And it teaches the children It teaches the children that helping in the house it's not restricted to women. And you know Hannah
law, what kind of generation we will raise what kind of men we will raise what what kind of women we will raise, we will raise a generation that is focused on helping each other, that powerful generation and that's fine. This applies to those who are working and those who are studying. Don't leave all the cooking duties to your mother. Don't leave them to your wife. They need a rest too. And another thing
Ramadan, you still have time for Ramadan. Try and prepare for cooking now you know and don't, don't focus on it too much. be simple. Be simple Go Easy as that will maximize your your worship and Ramadan. It also revolves around cultivating and nurturing good character. Focus on the opportunities focus on you, an individual who fasts but he doesn't control his anger. He said oh he or she have lost a portion of Ramadan. You need to utilize this month to focus on your character.
You know and focus on those qualities which you can improve on. As you will build a foundation. You will build a foundation to continue to build a huge masterpiece of thermal Milan, always view yourself as a masterpiece. Where are you? Are you a hot made out of straw that can be blown away just like that? Or are you a strong palace that is so strong, that even though a stone came, it would still not be able to destroy you.
You would still remain strong strong. You will still remain standing
Because your forte has been built so well focus on yourself. And that's my and one point I have is that
she made a beautiful point she said that I welcome a trauma bond that you know, devoid of box ticking and charge watching anxiety. That's what we've done by the way, you know, we made Ramadan about ticking boxes and going through checklists and there's nothing wrong with that. But you know, Ramadan you know what I miss, I missed that Ramadan where we we did the best we can, even if that's reciting an IRA or if that's just reciting the Quran once so make it your focus, focus on all your opportunities make the most
out and whether you're a father whether you're a mother, whether you you know, working or whether you are University
full goals, recharge you peppers, which unities and that's what I want you to focus on today because I know that you have so many amazing webinars coming up which will compliment my my message. So that's what I have today if you have any questions then I'm happy to to take them subhanak llama will be handed a shadow and La La Land was stuck Federica were to be late
just akeelah her sister for that wonderful talk. Those were such amazing and simple steps which we could easily adopt and make the most of Ramadan inshallah our lovely audience hope you benefit from benefited from it as well. Okay, so we are now open to questions as is the format that we follow in all of webinars. I request all the guests to please type in your questions in the chat box. Please note that the questions will be taken in the order they come in.
So sister we have the first question which says is it better for women to pray the Ravi at home or at Masjid?
Okay.
In regards to Tara we,
from my research and asking differentiate you, if you are able to pray in the masjid, then pray in the masjid. If you are unable to pray in the masjid. Then pray within your home. And you know, when you go to the messenger that it's like a hairdryer, you're doing hedgerows from the kitchen, you're doing hijra from the busy home you're doing hedger off from everything at home and this is why they say that sometimes you're connected to the stresses of a place. When you go to the messages you are getting away from that you are meeting new sisters you are getting motivated by that message you are passing Selim to each other. So if you can pray in the masjid, then pray in the masjid. If you are
unable to pray in the masjid then pray at home. I know that there is that? You know we were living in a narrative where our women are barred from the message. We know that
you know several a hadith about women.
You know it's better for them to pray at home and those a hadith or base that women have obligations that women have responsibilities. That is not that women are not eat and not allowed to go to the masjid. And for that reason, the prophet alayhi salatu salam, he said in a hadith do not forbid the female servants from the masjid. So if you went to a message ID, they cannot by you. They cannot say to you, oh, go home, it's better for you to pray at home. They are not allowed to do that. So if you are able to pray in the masjid that I really recommend it for the past, you know?
10 years I've been praying in the masjid. I have been praying in the masjid and it's completely, completely transformed to me as a human being. So if you're able to then I do advise you to do so.
Under London's best
medical office. That next question we have is from sister Sophia. She asks, How does one perform at golf? And the next question, kind of same. The sisters asking if we can perform a ticker for just two days.
In regards to a tech Have you I what I advise the sisters to do because it's a 50 question to go to a scholar that you trust and ask them in regards to etiquette. There are different opinions, there are opinions that you can perform an etiquette for less than 10 days For how many days you're able that
opinions that you can perform at have at a dedicated place in your home. So, go and speak to a knowledgeable person that you trust. I personally, we didn't have the facility to do it in the masjid. So my grandma and I, I wouldn't even say we did it to have we would you just call it that name? Right? We decided to isolate ourselves from the world's elite, you know, pleasures, and we, you know, dedicated a room in the house. So, for those who say that, you know, there's no need to care for women, okay, that's fine. There's no need to have for women. So it's not at have it's a form of seclusion of you. And just forgetting about the dunya just like mudumalai Salim you know,
she dedicated herself in a certain place and to come closer to Allah subhanaw taala. But this is a tricky question with so many different opinions. I advise you to seek
a scholar seek the opinion of a scholar that you trust and your local Masjid and see if your local Masjid allow you to have if your local massage you'd allow it to calf then do it to calf over there. If your local massage you do not allow it to calf and, and a learned person you know, they say to you that you weren't allowed to do it in your home, then do take that opportunity.
So there's a range of opinions based on who you are which which school of thought to take that from and aligns best.
Okay, inshallah. So, next question we have is the question is any sample of goal that we can set for Ramadan?
Any any what, sorry,
any goal any sample an example of all that we can set for Ramadan?
So, bedika I had a set of golf, if we could we
do you know, my article, we can we post it on the IOU blog, inshallah, we could do that. Okay. So we can try so I have a sample of goals, and that I've mentioned, so if if we're able, then we can post it up on the blog or on the Facebook page. But yes, you focus on number one, the Quran, then you focus on your ibehre that, you know, you you and then you focus on your funnel. So you have these and now it's up to you by the way you have three main areas, you follow your Quran and you have a better you your worship and you your salon ukuran it's your I better anyway, but I just broke it down. So you can have your character within there you can have family time. So I wish I had
something to draw here, but I don't and and so what you do is in all those areas, you pick one so in Quran, you say I'm going to dedicate myself to reciting the Quran once a Ramadan that's it in your Salah you say okay, I will pray the Center for Allah this Ramadan just a sin in your either you see that in every single folder, I will go wander, I will make a list and I will I will do those dots in my Salah for your character you think of that one characteristic, that one characteristic that really taking you down and for some of you that may be an anger problem,
get incredibly angry. So you say okay, this Ramadan, I will work on my anger. So you pick those main areas and you pick one goal, what you're capable of, and that's just a sample but inshallah I will put the rest of the points online for you.
And a lot of best.
Okay,
so the next question we have is from Stella diva, she asks, Can we listen to the Quran instead of reading off the most?
I advise you to read off the masaf. So your main priority should be reciting the Quran. And remember one thing by the way, I know a lot of Muslims who are not familiar with reading the Quran, meaning if I asked you to open the middle of the Quran, you would struggle well a lot of people would struggle to recite the page comprehensively. The reason that takes place is because we don't dedicate ourselves in reading the Quran enough Ramadan is to build that love of again, it gives you the opportunity to open up the Quran. So you continue that habit after Ramadan. So prioritize reading of the must have when you are unable to meaning when you're committed.
When you're cooking, when you're working, or when you're doing another task, that then you should
listen to the Quran.
And alone as best, as we have enough answered the next question, which was, what should I do two sets to do to succeed to be able to read the Koran properly? So I guess we've answered this question. Yes. And just on that point for you to succeed, to read the Quran, number one, for a lot of people who are not in the habit of reading a lot of Quran, you have to force yourself, the first 10 days will be your hardest struggle struggle. And I'll tell you, it'll be hard, because you're not in the habit. But you force yourself to read up to five, three to five pages after every solaar you force yourself. Once you forced yourself for those first 10 days, you're looking at your qurani like
Subhana Allah I will read so much. And you will begin to believe in your capability. And that will motivate you to read the rest of the Quran. So I do believe a lot of it is forcing yourself, especially those who are not in the habit and then tasting the fruit of your your hard work. And one of the best. So the next question we have is from sister Sarah, she's asking, could you please talk about the deeds that are easy but are heavy on the scale? Okay, so it's the Hadeeth right. subhanak llama wabi, Hamed, ik, and of Panama Hill avviene. So this is where the vicar comes in. So
in Ramadan, make the most out of your tongue make the most out of your Vicar and you know, you know, when it comes to the thicker
you have the morning at the car and you have the evening at car, you have the going to sleep at the car, you have you know what you read when you wake up, and for some of you who go in for this Ramadan can be can be maximizing your other car
that is literally Panama for some of us who are like, why would you do better when there's already so much at the car have so much to do. And so much the Quran, the Quran, and this is what it is, for you all make sure every single free time you have in the day should be about Zika had a lot of handling lower like that, because you know, when you're in liquor, it will transform you won't think anything negative, you won't think anything bad, your thoughts will be controlled and they'll be transformed by your liquor. So
for the sister who wants that question, I'm not sure if I've answered in the way and in the you may have wanted, but I used the opportunity to really propel the career for some of you and making the opportunity that Ramadan is the time to really really soften and moist in your your tongue with with vigor and it's probably one of the easiest things to do then a lot of other teams
and a lot of this
next we have a question from Revit sister from Dominic Republic. She's asking for any tips or advice that you may have as this is just a second Ramadan.
Oh, okay.
So, I guess I can be relate to you in some way. And because some of some of you who may be listening may have started practicing Islam, or may have reverted to them at a later stage. Okay, so what's the sister's name again sorry.
system in
just a moment. Okay, so system maimunah as this is your second Ramadan, I would say you're just you know, you're some people could say you're still a baby, you're growing up into into the religion and welcome By the way, so I would advise you is that you may not have mastered the Quran, you may not have mastered the Salah, yet you may have so if you know how to recite Quran, and quite comprehensively and quite easily then make the Quran you're in Arabic make it your goal. And you don't have to recite it all because remember Islam came in through, you know, it came over several years. The Quran didn't come in one month, so you don't have to do everything. So focus on your
Salah, focus on your photo Salah. Try and read, you know, and set a goal of maybe
One watch, you know a few pages a day, just so you're connecting. But I would say for you, Sister
focus on your focus on
to you know remind you of Allah so you know Subhana Allah will handed in Lao Allahu Akbar and really your Subhana Allah how perfect is a lot really how perfect is a lot? Now how amazing is a lot look at Good luck to Allah he's so great. He's so amazing look at the things he's created. So you are connecting with Allah through deeds that are easy, but they're very heavy on the scale. And finally something that I would recommend to yourself is if you're in a community where there's a lot of Muslims there and there are masajid that open if there for the sisters then try and visit them and get to know sisters go to Tarot we make Tarot we you go and I don't remember I said for him Allah
Quran. There are really good programs online. I don't think either you have one at the moment. And but there are a lot of tafsir programs. So if you search for him, Allah Quran and online, listen to a 30 minute video every day, literally by the end of Ramadan, you would have a basic
Quran. And that for someone like yourself is a great start a great start, and a line of best. So the next question we have is from Sr rahima. And the question is, once we start praying, but are we
Is it possible that we will decrease the number of robots that we started off with?
Okay, so if you here's the thing, if you go to a Masjid, that's doing 20 rakaat then you should complete the full 20 record. It I remember the scholars I've studied from they said that it's incredibly bad added to walk out after eight. I know a lot of people do this. But it's like a fitna, it's, if you're going to massage it with the 20 re 20 if you go into a Masjid that are reading eight, then stick to eight, but in the UK
that usually finish at around the same time. So
you i i'm not sure what your reason would be for decreasing. So if your reason is that I'm going to a 20 msgid 20 rockhard Masjid Can I pray eight, it's not advisable, it because there are two opinions. One is that 28 o'clock and one is eight o'clock and both are valid By the way, they are two valid we you know, our religion is a religion of tolerance. So both are valid. So if you go into 20 messages, read the 20 go to eight, read the eight. However, if your question is that
you know 20 and then decrease my praise. The question is, why would you want to do that? You know, you will even before Ramadan and if you in your mind, you've already got it but I'm going to decrease my tear away then you know, what is the purpose of that? You are the aim is to start off strong and remain strong until the last 10 days and then intensify. So
if it's for the second reason, then you have your intention that I will start with a certain number and I will continue and if not I will increase meaning I will add no often praise because the aim of Ramadan is to increase your worship not to to decrease it. So I may have understood your question incorrectly If so, I I apologize. But I hope
you have benefited from that and a line of best. And now we'll be taking a last question feeder. She says I'm feeling a bit apprehensive that I may not be able to make full use of the month. How do I stopped myself from being overwhelmed?
Okay, the feeder the way you stop yourself from being overwhelmed is you set goals that you are capable of meaning you begin with if you think that reading the whole Quran is overwhelming for you, then say I will read 10 chapters of the Quran I will read and you know, a quarter of the Quran and you do that and you achieve that goal. If you feel like
you know fasting is difficult for you, then you what you do is you listen to my next lectures you prepare yourself and you realize that Allah Subhana tada will make it easy for you and you follow the Sunnah
Make sure you wait for your support, and you have a nice meal, you make sure that you do your fast, and then you have your F star and you have another nice meal, you know, not
V and not too late. And then you pray thoroughly, you know, you go to a Masjid, that's a nice machine with a great reciter. And, you know, you go through that journey throughout the day. And every time you feel overwhelmed, then surround yourself with great friends who will reassure you that you have the capability to do this, and here's the thing, we'll see that you do a Lost Planet, Allah would not bring you on this webinar, if he did not want to good for you.
He wouldn't bring you here he is bringing you here to reassure you that you have the capability that He has given you the resources, and just like I broke my, you know, limiting beliefs. And I did By the way, you know, sometimes you listen to a speaker and you think, oh, wow, you know, they must be you know, so good at all of this. I have been, you know, I still I'm there as a students just like you, because I believe knowledge is never ending. And I have to break my limiting beliefs, I would not be able to, you know, I'm a mother, you know, I have a child they can hear my child just screaming with his father right now, you know, that can that can limit me I can say to myself, you
know, how will I possibly preterite with you know, my baby, you know, how can I be able to do so many good deeds, but I know that I can do it, I know Allah subhanaw taala
has given me the capability similarly you are no different from myself, you are no different from every single person that attending here today. So every time you feel overwhelmed, then listen to a lecture, open up the Quran and you know, read the verses in the Quran, as they are reminders for you and inshallah and you know, connect with us all you know, Facebook is a huge medium right now feel free to get in touch with any of the teachers and ask for advice because that's why we're here by the way, we're not here to give a talk and just, you know, disappear we're here to give talks so you can turn to us for advice and we can, we can guide you and we can aid you just like you know there
was a time when the same was being done for us.
And keep you know, keep yourself motivated by you staying in your Vicar and keep yourself motivated by listening to good beneficial reminders that remind you that Allah subhanaw taala will never
Pugh and on your own and Allah knows best. With this we come to the end of today's webinars Alhamdulillah we thank you so much for being a part of this session. May Allah reward you for the time you've spent here and guide us for the best amin a quick announcement before we close our next Ramadan session is on Ramadan for youth presented by brotherman to daanish Ramadan retreat we have covered was in Ramadan introducing Ramadan to kids and of course the to the today's session which was in productivity in Ramadan which makes a
