Palestine Is Our Crisis

It was only back in April

when we gave a clip here, in the masjid,

entitled Palestine is our better

there's no doubt that Palestine is our issue. The issue of everyone in this room, the issue of every Muslim on the face of this earth,

Philistine is the land of the prophets. The land to which he Rahim Allah He Salam fled, the land of Musa alayhis salam and Yaqoob the land of Asa, Allah him Salaam.

Now, if you try to tell this or explain this to somebody who consumes the news, what will they say? One of the things they will say is Oh, they have it coming. Group X did this and that. Group X did this and the third, this is just a consequence of what that group did. This is called collective punishment. Now I want to ask you if the shoe was on the other foots. If we believed as Muslims in collective punishments, how would they react?

You would hear them crying about it. 24/7 it would be on the news 24/7.

In fact, they have to lie about us to make us seem as bloodthirsty as they are. They have to lie about us to justify their cruelty. They do it from the prophets of Allahu alayhi wa sallam up until today. They have to lie about the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam never harmed someone who wasn't a combatant. He never killed a civilian. They have to event lies about him to turn opinion against him. Allah He salatu salam, just like they have to invent lies about our brothers and sisters today. Where's the news? No. Rather, if you pay attention, if you see what people from Gaza are actually showing on Twitter, you see the opposite. You see, and that's not to excuse anything that has been done wrong. People can make mistakes and people can sit and we do not accept that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam set limits, but we have to be smart and recognize propaganda for what it is. Rather we see examples where the Muslims enter a household. And the first thing they say to the civilian inhabitants aside is we're Muslims. You have nothing to be afraid of.

We see people who report shocking

Surprise, being treated decently by Muslim soldiers because they've been fed lies and lies and lies their entire life, about how bloodthirsty we are, how savage we are, how barbaric we are.

This is the first response to someone who is uninformed. The second response that you need to let people know is that this did not happen overnight. This did not happen in a vacuum. This did not start just this week.

This was not unprovoked.

The Palestinians have lived in a state of apartheid and colonization, one that has dispossessed and taken away their lands, we still have the keys. People in our own communities still have the keys to their homes, just like the brothers in Bosnia understand many of you left your home with a backpack.

And you never thought you would go back. Maybe you still have the keys to your houses. Our Palestinian brothers and sisters are the same. They still have the keys around their necks. They still keep the keys in their drawers.

But they're not allowed to go back. Because it's been a segregated society and apartheid society for over 70 years. They've been forced to live in on human conditions, especially in Gaza, in an open air prison, always afraid of bombs falling, always afraid of sniper fire, raining down on them had any moments. Do you know sometimes women in Gaza, they don't ever take their hijabs off, because they don't know when they're going to have to flee.

They don't know when their house is going to be demolished, or when the bomb is going to drop. And so they stay in their hijab 24 hours a day.

Our brothers and our sisters,

this is not peace.

Nobody in their right mind. Nobody with half a brain cell would describe this situation as peace.

This is a state of war. This is a state of oppression and people have the right to resist. Generally speaking people have the right to resist. This is common sense. Allah subhanaw taala tells us that we have the right to resist. He tells us the reasons for resisting oppression later in the eye. Allah says if you do not resist oppression, it's not going to go away. They're not going to recognize you. They're not going to give you power or let you live they're not going to put your electricity back on or give you clean water.

tyranny will spread. Allah says a tyranny will spread until there are no mosques and no synagogues and no churches and no monasteries, no place where a lot can be worshipped.

They want us to give up. That's what they want. They want us to quit. They want us to stay silent. If you've been following things. You look at the UK, the United Kingdom.

It's illegal to have a protest in favor of Palestine. It's illegal to fly a Palestinian flag in the UK people are getting arrested and deported for speaking up about Palestine. Look at France the same thing in France. Rallies pro Palestinian rallies have been made illegal and people are still in the streets.

Our brothers and sisters in France.

Those who can't wear headscarves in public, who can't hire whatever Imam they want for their local machine, who are watched to a 24/7 They're at constant risk of getting arrested and deported. They're still in the streets for Palestine. They said it's illegal. They said Come arrest me.

Here, it's different.

We have the right to assemble. We have the right to protest we have the right to say what we want but people try to intimidate you. People will try to intimidate you. They will try to go after your work. They'll try to go after your job. They'll try to report you to your employer. They'll try to make as many problems for you as they can. They have a coalition of student groups, who organized the rally in support of Palestine,

blaming the occupation of Israel as the main cause. And you know what another group did in response, they took the names and pictures of all the college students who signed this petition. And they hired a truck with a billboard on the side. And they put the names and the faces of the students on the Billboard, to publicly shame them and intimidate them. There are CEOs of Fortune 500 companies that are asking Harvard to give them the names and the faces of the students so they can blacklist them. So they can never hire them so that they can make sure use all of their networks and power and influence to make sure that they never have a job, which is illegal. But they're trying. That's what

happens here. They want us to be silence. They are counting on our silence. They are hoping because they need our assignments to continue doing what they do. But we will not quit. No we won't. We will not surrender. And we will never stop talking about this issue. I will never stop talking about this issue. Well, Allahu Allah, Allah, Allah is my witness, they will have to drag me off the mimbar in handcuffs. Before we start talking about this issue.

They cannot silence every single one of us.

The worst thing that could happen to you and me in this country is nothing compared to what our brothers and sisters are going through in Alaska right this instant.

And the worst thing that you and I could experience in this country is nothing compared to the reward that Allah subhanaw taala has for those who stand up on the side of truth and stand up on the side of justice. We cannot be weak. In this moment, we cannot be weak we have to be strong the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam he warned us that when I gave that quote, but in April I read this hadith in its entirety, just the English here, people the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said people will one day summon one another call one another to come and attack you. Just as people gathering around a dish to eat. And then someone asked, Could they couldn't believe it? They said,

they are Rasul Allah will that be because of our small numbers at that time? And he said, No, no, you're actually going to be a multitude. But you will be like the foam on the See how numerous and weak you are. And Allah will take the fear of you from the hearts of your enemies, and will place weakness into your hearts. We can't be weak, we have to be strong, because at the end of the day, Allah subhanho wa Taala is with us. We don't compromise with tyranny. We don't compromise with oppression. We don't compromise with colonialism, we resistance we resist. They want a peace process, I'll give them a peace process and the occupation, then there will be peace.

Now you have to understand, they're very, very sneaky. Very sneaky. They will try to pollute your ideas, and try to affect the way that you even think about this issue so that we're not united, every single one of us in this room. So that they divide us, they will try to tell us that this is just an out of issue.

It's not just an audition, they will tell us that this is just a Palestinian issue. It's not just a Palestinian issue. They want us to think that it's an issue of Muslims against Jews. It's not even an issue of Muslims against Jews, because there are Jews who support us. And there are Muslims who have betrayed us.

That is not the issue here.

So we shouldn't be surprised. We should not be surprised when we see other Muslims selling out people are selling out their Palestinian brothers and sisters. We have our principles from Islam, from Allah subhanho wa taala, and from the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and we do not oppress just because others oppress us.

We set it back in April, and we'll say it again that Palestine is our better. And what we meant is that just like at better, we're severely outnumbered. Everyone is against us. The news is against us. Even some of the Muslim leaders are against us. But another trick that they tried to play on us to mess with our minds, and I'll end with this. They tried to take away our hope. They try to make us pessimistic. They tried to make it seem like we will never win, hoping that we will give up. And it's true. We have obstacles. The obstacles are enormous. Yes. And there are numerous obstacles. Yes. But never, ever underestimate the OMA of Mohamed Salah Allahu Allah, He will

never ever underestimate, though some of the best of creation alayhi salatu salam.

It's been how many years since we had a political leader.

Look at everybody in this room. We're still here. We're still standing. We have our brothers from Central Asia and the Balkans. They tried communism on them. They tried to wipe them from the face of the earth. We learned Koran and secrets. We taught our kids Koran and secrets and we're still here.

We have our brothers from Bangladesh. Anytime they curse the Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam in their European hypocritical European countries. Our brothers and Bangladesh fill the streets, hundreds of 1000s of people, millions of people.

We have people in Algeria from Algeria, that fought over 100 over 100 years of colonialism. Nobody thought they could do it. And we're still here. They tried slaughtering us they tried to

infecting us with diseases, they tried chemical weapons, they tried to brainwash us, they tried everything. We're still here. We're still teaching Koran. We're still reciting Quran we're still praying together, the African American brothers, they've been at you for hundreds of years, trying to break you. 10% of the slaves that came to North America were Muslims. They tried to wipe that from you. We're still here.

We're still praying together. We're still fasting together.

They have meetings trying to figure out how can they can break us. They've run out of ideas. They cannot break us because Allah subhanho wa Taala is with us.
