99 Names of Allah #77 Al-Qareeb

Salam aleikum. Tonight's name is Al Khatib. Allah azza wa jal is L arriba. Allah Corrib means that Allah is nearby, that he is close. And there's a story behind this name actually, the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he was walking with some of his companions one day, and they were climbing up a hill. And if you've ever climbed up the hill, you know that by the time you get to the top, you're kind of out of breath. And you're really trying hard. So the companions were climbing up this hill and started to maybe Panton huff and puff, and they were calling out to Allah, shouting, yelling at the top of their voices for a lot to help them.

And the Prophet salallahu Salam, once they got on top of the hill, he told them he said, You don't need to shout. Because Allah is Al Karim. Allah is close by Allah is near you, it means that he hears you. You don't need to shout, you don't need to raise your voice. You don't need to have any doubts. That Allah knows exactly what you're going through. Or that Allah here is absolutely everything that you say even if you whisper it, even if you just think it. It's all the same to Allah.

Knowing that Allah is close in that Allah is nearby. It should make us feel safe. And we should trust that Allah subhanaw taala is always watching and always ready to respond and ready to help us with whatever we need. That's because a lot is carried. And that's all for tonight. So don't worry
