Dhul Hijjah Diaries 7 – Your Questions Answered About The 9th

Salam Alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh spinello salat wa salam ala rasulillah who Allah Allah He was a happy woman, Oh Allah all praises belongs to Allah subhanho wa Taala and we send praises and request blessings to be sent upon the final messenger Muhammad Ali Abdullah Saleh Allahu alayhi wa sallam My dearest brothers and sisters in Islam. Welcome to our seventh installation of our little hedgehog diaries for the year 1440, after the hijra of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam, from Mecca to Medina. So we've spoken much about different elements different matters related to the best days of the year. And in today's episode, I want to talk about the ninth of the hedger.

In earlier episodes, we've spoken about the importance of fasting, especially during these days, given that the rewards of fasting during these days are greater than fasting, you know, outside of these days. And remember, we're talking about voluntary fasts, and not compulsory fast, because no doubt compulsively fast, every word of their own. But, you know, fasting any fast during these days is better than fasting, the same fast outside of outside of these days. That's how Allah subhanho wa Taala has designed it. And we said that if you can't fast, you know all nine, then do what you can, even if it's just fasting, the ninth of the hygiene, I want to speak a little bit about this. So

first things first, when we talk about fasting, the ninth of Trisha jawara, we're talking about what we're talking about fasting it from true dawn until sunset with you having your intention from the evening. Right, that you fasting the night of the hedger

We intend to pass the ninth due to the teachings of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam intending the Riveter, Allah subhanho wa Taala is pleased for those who fast this particular day. Well, the rewards as the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam has taught us that it was entailed two years worth of sins being forgiven, two years worth of sins being forgiven. That's two entire years. Now this is massive brothers and

sisters in Islam, and look how Allah subhanho wa Taala offers us every opportunity, every opportunity to build every opportunity to get to gender, every opportunity to be saved from the Hellfire Subhana Allah, right one small act and allows forgiving us for two years, two years worth of sins are being deleted. two years worth of sins being forgiven. So this is the reward for the one who passed the ninth and this should be enough motivation really, to push us too fast. The length of the hedge another aspect of this discussion is when is the ninth of the ledger? Is it the ninth when the Hajaj on arafa? Or is it the ninth based on the country that we are in? And what the scholars have announced to be the ninth of the ledger? And in answer to that the stronger opinion in my view, and Allah subhanho wa Taala knows best is that we fast the ninth of the hedger when it is the ninth in the country that we are in right, because obviously the next day you will be celebrating read and read should be done

collectively as well. Right. We don't do read when it's reading maka, we do read when it's reading our country. So in the same way we do read when it's in our country, the ninth of the schedule will be a day before that they have read so we fast the ninth of the ledger in the country that we are in. is, you know, an answer to the question which sins are forgiven? Is it everything? Well, in answer to the question brothers and sisters in Islam, it's not the major sins but the minus the minus

on condition that you've left the matrices, let me let me you know, add to that the minuses on condition that you've left the matrix and so if someone is engaged in major sins right now, that's going to prevent the minuses being forgiven. Right? But should they lose hope in the mercy of Allah? No, that's a different discussion. If they want to fast the ninth and have good hope in Allah and intention, should they fast? Absolutely, they should. But as a lesson, you know, whenever the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam tells us if you fast as day Allah will forgive one year's worth of sins like those of us Muharram if you pass out over two years worth of sins, if you pray Juma and

then pray the following room either all your sins between the two Juma as are forgiven, generally all or for example, if you do an ombre and then another camera then the sins between the two cameras are forgiven. Generally as a rule of thumb, when you hear these narrations or come across these narrations, they are referring to my innocence the minuses not the major sins, because the major sins require require

require repentance. This is this is repentance, this has its own,

a framework in terms of, you know, earning the mercy and forgiveness from Allah subhanho wa Taala and this is for the major sins so the major sins required repentance, these durations, talk about the minuses of being forgiven, so our minor sins are forgiven and I added earlier that we need to ensure that we are away from the major sins. So you can't be in this in this month doing major sins doing Zina doing backbiting drinking alcohol, engaged in Riba and so on and so forth, and at the same time expecting your minor sins to be forgiven because Allah Subhana Allah says intention to enable Kaaba Rama to known and to confirm sciatica. Allah says, If unconditioned, you stay away from

the major reasons that Allah has told you to stay away from cupbearer the major sins, Allah says, We will forgive your minuses instead of the mercy from Allah subhanho wa Taala and an incentive to stay away from the major. Now, some of the major sins in play these days is definitely Riba, unfortunately, right? And backbiting, people say was the mercy of Allah and it's also bad manners with Allah to question Allah subhanho wa Taala before questioning yourself in fact, you should never question Allah should question yourself only. We will say I'm making dry but it's not happening. I'm making dry what happened in the losing hope in Allah subhanho wa Taala This is incorrect. Right? the

help of Allah is coming you breathing You see, right? You have blessings around you, the blessings are coming, but you need to analyze yourself. And the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam taught us that a person whose food is haram and his drink is haram meaning his earnings are haram and he raises his hands and he asked him Allah that is not going to get answered that door is not going to reach Allah subhanho wa Taala by the decision and will of Allah subhanho wa Taala it's not going to benefit the person. So we must stay away from major sins, especially River. And then another plague that we have today is the concept of backbiting. And I know the world is in such a tough place not

just economically and morally and intellectually and even in, in in character. You know, no doubt we live in testing times difficult times. And the problems are so many that, you know, sometimes you don't want to back by it, but you know, you just need to get things off your chest and you end up speaking about someone to somebody else and allow him to stand it's a tough world that we live in. It's a tough world that we live in, but we got to try harder and understand that by trying harder will be rewarded. Bigger inshallah. Okay, so, you know, stay away from backbiting. ask Allah subhanho wa Taala sincere forgiveness from this. And remember with backbiting Allah only forgives us

if the other person forgives us. But today also if you go tell someone that you know what i was backbiting about you and please forgive me that person might not forgive you. And you know, it's like a person will take more offense or they might say you forgiven but then they'll carry some graduate the heart about so in this particular circumstance, if it's difficult for you to go and tell someone that you've you know, you you are backbiting about them and you need their forgiveness, then don't tell them but rather like to offer them right Raise your hands and say Allah have mercy on this person grant them Jenna grant them could help them better than the dream of in both worlds.

And see Allah these these doors that are making a is goodness for me to this person. Please use it to wipe out the bad that came from me to this person. Anyway, these are just some realities pertaining to fasting the ninth and some tips to ensure that we gain in a maximum way from the effort.
