Dua The Guest makes for the Host

Salam Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh Welcome to another episode of daily delights. This evening I would like to share with you this beautiful prophetic dua the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam used to make this dua for people who used to provide food for him or invite him over for a meal. Obviously, you know, it happens that we get invited perhaps maybe because of social distancing in some of these restrictions, it may not be happening this season as many or as often as we are used to, but nonetheless, uh, whenever someone brings you food or someone invites you over what the guest is supposed to say to the host, one of these prophetic supplications or prayers that the prophet has

taught us is the following

Allahumma barik Laham female doctor whom

So these are three essential elements that any believer or any household would desperately need, we all need Allah Subhana Allah to bless whatever we have in our lives, and we don't want it to, you know, to be ruined or to be destroyed or to be lost. So, blessing or Baraka is very important. So we ask Allah to bless it, right for them. And we ask Allah azza wa jal also to forgive them. Right? And by the way, when you pray for someone's forgiveness, you're not actually insulting them. You're not implying that they're I mean, we're all sinful, but you're not saying that. I'm asking Allah to forgive you because you

know, you have committed something No, this is a beautiful dua, dua to pray for someone's mouthfeel and people should not find any offense in that. Likewise also that Allah azza wa jal showers them with mercy. asking Allah subhanaw taala to show mercy to someone does not again imply that that person is deceased or God. This is a very unfortunate misunderstanding that many people have when I ask Allah azza wa jal to show you mercy or to have mercy upon you, or Rama. Rama is something that we should pray for, for the living and as well as the dead. So when he asked Allah azza wa jal to shower someone with with mercy that does not mean that you are wishing them death or that they are

that they are dead. You know, it's quite the opposite. This was very often this was a very common dua during the time of the Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam, asking Allah to forgive someone or asking Allah to show mercy to someone, right? So keep that in mind. Insha Allah Allah Allah, so ask ALLAH SubhanA wa Tada for your hosts, that Allah azza wa jal blesses, whatever he has provided for them, all of their, you know, blessings that they have that Allah Allah blesses it and increases it for them, and that Allah azza wa jal forgives them their sins and that Allah azza wa jal shows them mercy. May Allah subhanho wa Taala grant all of our households blessings, mercy and forgiveness
