So take whatever your month salary is, whatever your month's salary is, and multiply that by 1000. And you get that in one night. If you want to do the math real quick. Let's say your salary is $1,000. That is 1000 times 1000 is a million

what's the interesting point, there's behavior and without knowledge, so, you know, subhanAllah, our desires can be aligned with that which is correct, and that which is good, but not, if not, if it is not accompanied with knowledge, right. So when we don't have knowledge, we will we may follow all of our desires, the good and the bad, or we may let our desires lead us astray, not as what happens with a lack of knowledge. So that is those people we so once again, even we can personalize that and say, Do I fall into that or not? We don't want to be that person. So we want to make sure that we're not following our desires, that we have knowledge so we don't fall into that trap. And then Allah
says, okay, and then you as I said, this is referring to the prophets of Allah who I knew he was sending them, but we want to personalize his message that this is for Us. So Allah says, The Upton wotja would check and basically direct your face Allah has mentioned the face here, Lydian to the religion Hanifa and there's a few different trials if you look at the translations for these depending on which translation you pick, there's a few different ways of translating this one is a more literal, more direct translation which I've given to you direct your face towards the religion. What this means is Allah who has power to Allah is saying

And And subhanAllah the word Khalifa or in this in this context Khalifa inclining to the truth, okay, that that is that is, that is that's okay, that's that's translation but the word Hanif really means to incline to something and away from something. So to incline to something and away from something. So, when Allah has kind of data
says incline to the religion, the dean. Now this is we want to incline or lean who can say, oh we can lean away from something and we can lean into something. So, what do we lean away from? First thing first we lean we want to avoid, be away from Kolkata and shirk, towards the way towards the Oneness of Allah data towards the worship worship of Allah alone. And then we can say, Okay, I'm already Muslim. Alright, so we're gonna personalize this message, this message for me already Muslim, I stay away from Coachella and shirk and so on and so forth. We can say we want to stay away, right? From sinfulness and disobedience and we want to lean into or lean on be inclined
towards the obedience of Allah who's kind of like that isla. And so this is what Allah has pointed out is saying, direct yourself to the religion and be inclined towards the truth and away from falsehood, be inclined towards business, away from evil be inclined towards the obedience of Allah and away from the disobedience of Allah who is penalized to Allah and this also means that once we are Muslim like for us, right, as you said, for already Muslim, then we want to make sure that we are staying away from things that can take away from that which would incline us towards Allah. So
one of the one of the big things that should come to mind for us is our sincerity, right? So a person can be doing something for the sake of Allah. And as you know, we say, okay, we're Muslim. We're going to worship Allah who has kind of a downer. Okay, good. hamdulillah we're not going to ship we're not going to worship other than Allah. We are going to worship Allah. So what is the trap there? What do we need to incline away from or lean away from? Well, a lack of sincerity, or our sincerity getting messed messed up, right. So in order for us to worship Allah, you know, there's two conditions for our worship to be accepted by Allah kind of data. Number one, is that we need to
worship Allah correctly. We need to worship Allah with knowledge. So let's say we're praying a prayer, we can't decide on our own how to pray. Obviously, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam taught us how to pray, right? As the prophets have a lot of send them he said, Man, I mean, I'm an Elisa, they say, I'm Rhonda, what? Where does a action
that is not from our matter, that is not from what we have basically, what Allah has given to us for what it is rejected and another nourishment data, the Marina had Miley Salman, who arrived, whoever bring something new into this matter of hours, that is not already in it, meaning it is not already something that the prophets I send them already gave to us, but who arrived it is rejected. So the first thing is, are we worshiping Allah the way Allah taught us how to worship Him through the prophets of life, and that's number one, number two is worshiping Allah with sincerity. And so, these are both conditions that we need to fulfill when we talk about
you know, being inclined towards the religion or turning towards the religion inclining towards that which is correct, right. So, so this is something we need it we need to keep in mind, obviously, in the manual Binya actions are judged by their intentions. If our intention is to show off or whatever, then that is what our intention is, we're left to our intention rather than our intention being to worship Allah who has panela to Allah. So this is what this is, basically, Allah is giving us the cure, to what is mentioned in the previous verse, so those who do wrong because they follow their desires, without knowledge. And now you see the parallel here Subhanallah very interesting,
following your desires, versus being sincere to Allah, knowledge or a lack of behavior and without knowledge. And in opposition to that is knowledge doing things with knowledge, which with correct knowledge, so when we worship, we worship Allah to Allah, first is sufficient, right? Fighting our desires. And then also along with that, is doing it sincerely for the sake of Allah who's Panhellenic data. So now personalizing this message, we need to ask ourselves, okay, where do I need to lean towards? What do I need to incline towards? And, and if you ponder this, this, this,
this issue of, of being heading right inclining there's a lot to be learned here as well. So I want you to think about this word, heavy right to incline. Why would Allah has kind of like to add, I mentioned, to incline or we can say, you know, to lean towards something, what is the significance of that word? What does that mean to you to incline towards the truth? What additional benefits can we get from that? So, I want you to think about that on someone has their hands up or your hand up? The whole idea of taking one step towards the lowest point data, and that's, that's what I was thinking about. And I think it's very nice that he came looking for something specific. That's what I had and you know, in terms of being inclined towards something is it's it's a journey, right? It's not just how you're you're either there or you're not there. It's something that we make an effort toward that because this is what SR I was was mentioning, as well. to move away, so, you know, it carries both meanings away from bad and towards good. So inclining towards something moving towards something, it means that it's there's a spectrum, right we want to reach what is good and what is ideal and what is best. But when you hear the word inclined towards something, you know in Arabic its main right maybe to lean towards to move towards the truth and that which is which is correct, so that it should give us should give us some, some hope. The other meaning is actually coming up in the next in the next part of this verse, and that is that, if we can be inclined towards something, it means that it's something that is possibly within us already,
right, that internally, we can recognize something as being good and we would naturally be inclined towards it, right? So that's so that's what what's next is Allah has kind of data that says fitrah to Allah and let the Fatah NASA Allah, now this is the explanation right? What is this? What is this honey fear, right? What is this, this truth and this goodness that that we should be inclining towards, we should move towards? Allah says the fitrah.
The fitrah of Allah, the natural way of Allah has power to add on the fifth pillar, is what we know what we understand to be our natural inclination. Right? So there's inclination, our natural inclination that that Allah has given to us. So fit, federal law, number one, the filter of Allah, why did why didn't Allah just say, that Clara, and that if upon us fitrah and then which is already found amongst people, Allah said the flipper of Allah meaning it comes from Allah. Right? It is from Allah has given to us by Allah who's Panhellenic to Allah is something that we naturally have from Allah fitrah to Allah He led the foreigners Allah which Allah has taught on NASA and Allah has
created people with it already.
Allah has instilled this within us already and you know the word fit thorough, comes from Fatah which means to create something that did not exist before right. So likewise our inclination towards good our inclination towards that which is right, that that natural inclination is something that came from
Allah who's kind of like to Allah, Allah is what Allah is the one who brought it into existence. And then we have the Hadith of the persons Mmm. Well known Hadith, in which he said could Lumo Luden EULA do Island fitrah every newborn child is born upon their fifth thorough, right, this the same plethora that has mentioned in the Quran, that that that is mentioned in this verse, right? It's the same fitrah that Allah is the precedent is describing you that every newborn child is born with this natural inclination. And then the opposite of it, or the corruption of that fitrah. Or that filter getting messed up is also described in this hadith the President said, about wha hoo, you have with
Ernie, oh, you know, see, Ronnie, a human discerning that Allah has created this child, every newborn child is created with that natural inclination towards good, the best good is obviously recognizing that we have a creator and worshiping that creator alone, that is the best, good, that is the message that is still hate. That is the message of all the prophets, recognizing that we have a creator, and that creator alone deserves to be worshipped. No one deserves to worship, besides the law, basically are cutting our Shahada. That is the crux of our fifth law. And so the President said, then it is there about what their this their parents, they either make this person, a Jew, or
a Christian, or a median, right. So whatever, if someone takes a path other than the path of Allah, this kind of data, if someone adopts a religion, a faith, a way of life, other than the one that Allah has created us with already, that is an external influence mean, there's something that came from the outside. And so a person gave us the most potent example of that, and that is obviously the household that we're in. We were raised in a household, that Subhanallah you know,
our parents are living in a life that is away from our fitrah. And obviously is going to have an effect on us. And our, our fitrah can be changed and that is something which is coming up as well. But once again, you may say, you know, we're trying to personalize this message. I'm already on my fifth block, right? I'm already Muslim. So I'm upon I only worship I recognize that Allah is my Creator, that there's there's no creator other than that Allah, there's no Lord, other than Allah. There's no naraba in the law. There's no law other than the law, not united Allah. There's nothing deserving of worship, other than Allah. So how does this verse apply to me? Well, our fitrah is our
inclination.
towards all things that are good, and especially and those things which we naturally find to be good. Now, we may recognize the bigger picture the big picture as Muslims, hopefully we do, right that Allah alone deserves to be worshipped. But what about things happening around us and the society around us when things that Allah has power to Allah has defined as good in the Quran or through the Sunnah in personam. And then society begins to view it as not good. or Allah has defined something as being bad. Allah has defined something as being immoral. And in society, people begin to see it as being moral, and acceptable, and righteous and pious, and so on and so forth. Is this
not the corruption of the fitrah? Is this not the changing of the fitrah. And, you know, we had that famous Hadith of the prophets that I send them, you know, which which describes the parts that I've said methyl Jalisa, Salah was so was so much of the genesis of Salah was so the example of a, a, a pious companion, and a in pious companion, and Denise is actually someone who sits with us, right, we're sitting with this person, meaning we spend time with this person. We all know this hadith is like, the Pious One is like the carrier of musk, or perfume. And then the Empires one is like the the iron Smith, which is, you know, working working with iron. And the Prophet SAW, I send them said
that the that was being with that with that with the person of the person who has perfume, or musk. Either, they will give you some of their perfume as a present, or you will buy it from them, or you will in some way, you will be affected by that perfume, and you will get that perfume from the other person. And subhanAllah Rahman, I don't know if he's still here, but on the podcast, we were talking about oils, and we were talking about, I'm personally not a big fan of oils, because oils have this quality of the muscle of the person I was describing, which is a good thing, right? But the problem is, if you don't like the smell of all of that particular oil, and generally I a lot of oils that
people come to me with, I don't like the smell, usually like an uncle or somebody comes to the masjid and like shakes your hand. And honestly shaking hand. I'm gonna shake the uncles and obviously, but it's when they pull out that stick, you know, the oil stick, and it's like oil dripping off of it. And they're like, betta. Here you go. And you're like, and they're like, it's sunnah. You know, this is, so now you got to take it. And it's like, and you know, Sam didn't reject gifts, and then reluctantly put your hand ahead and the goat chicken and slap all this oil on you. And now you're done. Right? I thought it Yeah, exactly. And some had a lot, you know, and we talked
about some of the podcasts that that God doesn't leave you. Right oils, they seep into your skin, right, as opposed to like, alcohol based colognes and perfumes and stuff, they evaporated, they're gone quickly, oils stay there. And some Annaleigh like I'm just because majority of times I don't like that smell. It's sometimes it's just like this stuff. I don't know, man where these concoctions come from, I'll be honest. But in Salah I'm struggling for the next day, they've been honestly hours and hours where I've been like washing my hands over and over and over again. And just like the smell is just, you know, and I think I have a strong sense of smell. I don't know what it is, but
like, it really bothers me. And so I and I know some people get offended panela they're like, you know, cannot reject this, this perfume or whatever. And I'm like, Look Around the time explained you had that's not actually true. The person, um, didn't reject gifts, because they were good and beneficial gifts, but if a gift was harmful, that's a different matter if I'm struggling Subhanallah with my salon, like I know for sure, because all I can think about is how strong the smell is, and how many times I have to wash it to get it off, then that's detrimental not only to like me, it's detrimental to my prayer, but I don't remember the time to get into that. I'll just usually like if
I see Uncle coming with with oil, I'm gonna, like sidestep, go around, try to you know, find my way out of that. But the point here is this example the person gave us is that, you know, if the smell is good, you know, obviously, there's a positive example, in this case, that
you're gonna come you're gonna, you're gonna walk away with some goodness, right? On the other hand, the iron Smith, by them working in, you know, working on the iron, some, some, some of that some of the iron dust was about soot, or setae whatever it is, right, it's gonna get on you, right, the blackness or whatever, it's just around, it's in the air, so on and so forth. Something bad is gonna is gonna get on you. And so what is this telling us? This is telling us once again of we may, we may start off in a in a way that we recognize goodness as goodness and falsehood as falsehood, but our company and you know, the people around us have an effect on us, right? And this is what is known as
desensitization, we can get desensitized to things. And things can become normalized. And that's a better word, right? It's actually it's a process of desensitization, desensitization, and then normalization, things can get normalized to such a degree Subhanallah that we're unable to recognize them.
things that that are that in our fifth law we recognize as good. And I'll give you an example of this, which, you know, some some people take lightly. But, you know, it's actually it's a very good example, the beard for men, right? The price is seldom described the beard as being part of art, the price that I mentioned, you know, certain amount of things, different durations, one nourishing, which is seven things that are from our fitrah. Those of you who, who took trends, we talked about those things, amongst them, clipping the nails, and so on and so forth. But one of that is, is the beard right, letting the beard grows from our fitrah now,
we live in a society and I think things have changed in the last 10 years. But you know, about a decade ago, the norm was most men would shave, right? They have shaved faces. And one of the reasons they shave is not, you know, because they want to go against the sun or anything like that. It's because that's the norm in society. And someone gets dressed up. Yeah, like you'll see someone you know, they may have like a stubble or wherever, but they go to a job interview, like they'll shave be clean shaven, right, or someone's getting married. It's like, I've met brothers Pamela, nice beard, day of the Nika clean shaven, I'm like, yo, what happened? Man, like, what's going on? Now? I
just had to clean up man, I'm like, no, like, come on. Anyway, point is our understanding of if even you know, our understanding of goodness, and what we even on a vision in a visual in a visual sense, what we consider to be good and attractive and good looking can be altered, if something becomes a norm in society. Right? Even Subhan, Allah did the whole idea of modesty, and, and covering, right? In society, we live in a society where not everyone, but you know, in a general sense, a little bit of a generalization here. Nakedness is seen as beautification, right? For a lot of people, not everyone. But the more we expose of ourselves, the more attractive, right, the more we show, the
more attractive this actually goes against our fifth law. Right? Our fifth our natural state is to is that that is supposed to be something which is very, very private. Like we're supposed to feel awkward and odd when we see nakedness. Because we're supposed to feel like you know what, this is not meant for public consumption. Right? This is meant for your spouse, or you know, depending on how much when a person is uncovering for certain certain people. It's not this not this should not be something for the world and not and by the way, I'm not just talking about sisters. I'm talking about brothers as well, right? It works both ways. Obviously, men and women cover in different ways.
Something we talked about in the podcast, by the way, hijab for men to check out the podcast. But the point here is that change in perception of what is considered a beauty, right. And the prophets I send him you know, in one narration, he said Magcon McConnell Hyah, officiate in lezana, higher modesty is not put into something except that it beautifies it right.
Our perception is the opposite of that, right, higher modesty, we live we live in a time where the absence of higher is seen as beautification, right, the process is telling us to access our filter, our fitrah is that modesty is seen as as beauty, right? And that's a total change in our perception. So once again, personalizing this message, then Allah has had an eye to Allah says Allah de la the Halacha, Allah, there should be no change in the creation of Allah. So one of the meanings of this is that this is the fifth era. Right? They don't change the fitrah right, do not alter do not do not corrupt the petro because this is the creation of Allah. And I think someone mentioned that I saw it
in the chat. Someone mentioned something about the the Shia THON. Absolutely, this is one of the goals of the Shabbat that she upon himself, he says, what I'm what I'm known for, like you were your own run a Hulk Allah, He said, I will commend them certainly servers 119. While I'm running them, I will commend them. And this This speaks to what he's talking about here is he's actually boasting about how he will be able to control
the Children of Adam through their desires, right and so longer topic, check out deception. But the point here is that he says, I will come out, it's like, I will come out and then many, I'm gonna have that kind of control over them and control them to their desires. I will combine them further you have a urine a Hulk, Allah, they will change the creation of Allah. Right? And this is in it's in a physical way. And it's also in a spiritual way, in a physical way. Subhanallah we may alter our bodies in a way that takes us away from our fifth thought. Right one of them shaving of the beard is just one example.
And other examples, for example, with tattoos, right? Very common today. They've become really mainstream somehow to luck. 1015 years ago, it was very few people you would see that would tattoo especially visible tattoos. If anyone's trying to get a job like you wouldn't have it
visible tattoos. It's just the way it was. But now Subhanallah you know, it's become so normalized. You have like, 40 year old Karen's like, Hey, can I get a little butterfly right here on my back, you know, like, walk into a, like, a tattoo shop and like, I get a little turtle right here, you know, reminds me of like, I don't know, whatever, or, you know, a little thing of my dog. You know, it's become so normalized. And, and to me, I'm like, tattoos aren't even cool anymore. Like, maybe there was a time where tattoos were cool. Now, it's just so mainstream, like Subhanallah like everyone, like, I don't know, like a 60 year old woman. Oh, aunties gotta got a tattoo. Like, how
cool Are you really? And I think about Subhanallah back when I thought tattoos were cool. And my Jeconiah right.
handed in ah, I didn't get one of those tattoos because back then, you know what it was?
tribal tattoos. You know, tribal tattoos? Are anyone?
Tribal tribal designs, right? It's like those swirls and things like that. They were so cool. Back in the day. Right? They were like, Yeah, big blocky tribal tattoos and all this kind of, and it was so cool. Yeah. So Mike Tyson has a tribal tattoo. May Allah forgive him. Right. And he's our brother Islam. So you know, oh, my God for him.
tribal tattoos. Today, you see something that a tribal tattoo and it's so cringe, because you're like, Man, this is like a remnant from the 90s. Right? Like this was this is not cool anymore, like nobody liked And subhanAllah their tattoos are seen as cool today. One of the things that's made a resurgence is like henna style tattoos, right? So like little patterns and things like that, except it won't be hanging out. It will be tattoos, right? I don't know how long that's gonna stay cool. Some people are saying face tattoos? Absolutely. face tattoos are in right now. For how long? Right? What happens? I was thinking it's kind of like, can you imagine like, like an 80 year old man or
eight year old, you know, auntie, talking to her grandkids. And like trying to like talk to them. There's like, you know, his face tattoos and things like that, like what is going on? Right? And subhanAllah I know some people and this is I'm not judging people who find tattoos to be attracted attractive, okay. I get it. You know, we live in a society where things are made to be attractive. I'll share a story with us panela I remember when I first accepted Islam, right, or started practicing Islam. I was in college. And those of you know, my past, like music was a big part of my life, right. And I just started practicing Islam. I had started going to the MSA muscle tone
Association on campus. And one day I'm in I'm in the gym. I'm on the treadmill. And one of the, one of the main guys from the MSA, one of the advisors of the MSA older guy, probably in his late 30s, early 40s, around that age. And he saw me like he was on the treadmill next to me, he's running, I'm running. And subhanAllah you know, and he had seen me from from the MSA. And then all of a sudden, like, on, you know, like in the gym and stuff. Certainly college campuses, like they play music on the gym, on the speakers and stuff. And so a track comes on, right, a particular song. And the brother turns to me because
he goes, Look at this, look at this, this this, this this speech. This is the speech of che upon how disgusting, right? He's like, how horrible. And I'm like running. I'm like, dang, I was kind of vibe into that man. And I was like, it was so weird for me to Palla. And I was like, Yeah, I felt so guilty all of a sudden, I was like, because you know, I'm new to them and all that kind of stuff. It's like one of my favorite tracks. I was like having a good time, like, you know, pumped up running. And and the brothers like, Look at this. This is the the sheet music of chiffon. And I'm like, yes, yes. Music of this. Yes, yes, definitely very bad, very bad. Right, normalize things get
normalized for us, right. And so this is why my point of mentioning that story is that we shouldn't judge people, right? Because when things become normalized in society, it's really hard to not fall prey to that. And we're actually we're all honest, we're all on a journey. We're trying to get close to Allah who don't want to add it right. And so we should be careful before we advise people or criticize people, you know, like I said, this is this is a challenge for us. As soon as one of the attacks of the chef on changing of the creation of Allah changing what we should naturally find to be good and attractive and nice and so on and so forth. Right? So this is one of the the meanings
here. And so Allah Subhana Allah says not to do that. There should be no changing. And tidying is very interesting. If you look at I don't really have time to get into this overtimes. Pamela, but it definitely versus Tim Dean right here. The shaytaan says, What are your own Alcala they will change the creation of Allah, it's a little bit different than to do to deal is almost like replacement. Right? So it's an added meaning that we get to the creation, like changing of the creation of others changing and then there's replacing it. So not only are we being skewed in our understanding of what is good and what is bad, but it is being replaced. Right And subhanAllah if you ponder on that, you
know, I don't know if we have time to get to it.
anymore but think about that that very issue right? That deed replacing replacing bad with with good then Allah subhanaw taala says that he could Dino play him. This is or that is the straight way a yam we find mentioned in the Quran and the Sunnah over and over again. For example loves Panama to Allah says in the habit of Quran yeah the little lady here ACOEM surely this Quran guy, so that which is UK one right UK one comes same same route here a young up one that which is upright that which is correct that which is good, right? And and as Allah Subhana Allah says Fiat critical IEMA and so the begging Allah says within it within which are correct writings, right so that is what is
correct
and good. Allah says, Now read emphasizes that point that this or that is the this is the correct way of life, right? Even if it's not the norm, even if it's not what everybody else is doing. The guidance that you have the guidance of the Quran, this is the correct way. And then Subhan Allah is so beautiful, this verse is so beautiful. Allah has kind of data ends this verse with what I can occur Nessie May Allah Subhana Allah, Allah says, However, most people do not know. Now, I said is beautiful, but I want you to tell me why that's beautiful. And so while Allah is warning us, at the same time, he's reminding us at the end that we do not know. And when you look on the polar opposite sides, most of you will, you know, will disbelieve or most of you will be on the opposite scale. But Allah Subhana Allah says, for me, yeah, the man or the man above Allah, who will guide those whom Allah allow us to go straight. Muhammad enough city, they have no helpers, right? I was gonna say that. It also like humbles us, because I feel like a lot of us think, oh, yeah, we're pretty good people. But it kind of reminds us that like, most people, like, don't know. So we kind of check ourselves a little bit and like, think about like, where we really are, and become more self aware.
You know, that's a beautiful, beautiful reflection, that instead of relying upon ourselves as human beings, we reply, we rely upon guidance with the loss of data because people don't know, right? We're human beings, we're limited in our knowledge. We're limited in our understanding, and we are so fickle. One day, we may think something is good the next day, we may think it's bad, right? So it was left up to our own desires. While we think well we know we will be constantly lost, right? We and we see that happen in sight things, things change constantly, what is considered good and bad is always changing. Subhanallah and so that's a beautiful, beautiful reflection that you know, people
as human beings, we are limited. So go back to the guidance from Allah who has pointed out excellent, I think it's a wonderful reflection a good place to end for today.
