Bismillah al Rahman al Rahim

00:00:06--> 00:00:07

Salam aleikum wa rahmatullah wa

00:00:11--> 00:00:16

Rahmatullah. Alameen. Wa salatu. was salam ala so you didn't know Serena MacArthur, meaning the BU

00:00:17--> 00:00:20

Ramadan Wada, the game savvy Edge magazine.

00:00:21--> 00:00:34

My biographer will be lurking in a shape on every gene Smilla Rahmanir Rahim in Allahumma Equateur who is on Long Island in the BA Johan de Lena Armand was somebody he was the limit sleep

00:00:36--> 00:00:42

a lot on some data so you then I'm home and then in the video to me like he was selling sleep

00:00:43--> 00:00:44

perspective listening

00:00:49--> 00:00:52

as promised inshallah

00:00:53--> 00:00:54

I'll begin

00:00:55--> 00:00:57

commenting on

00:00:59--> 00:01:02

different sets of verses in the Holy Quran

00:01:03--> 00:01:10

which speak of the follow up, and when our own meaning hypocrisy and the hypocrites

00:01:15--> 00:01:17

the first set of verses

00:01:19--> 00:01:25

dealing with this topic, actually are in the very beginning of the Quran in surah de vaca.

00:01:27--> 00:01:29

Immediately after sorted and further,

00:01:30--> 00:01:35

at the beginning of sort of de Bacara, Allah subhanahu Adana speaks of,

00:01:36--> 00:01:44

first of all the believes at the flam meme that Kitab Allah or a Buffy who the limit of being a lenient minimal level of rape

00:01:47--> 00:01:50

or the flam mean, the spoke,

00:01:52--> 00:01:53

there is no doubt there in

00:01:55--> 00:01:56

a guidance

00:01:58--> 00:01:59

for the people of Taqwa.

00:02:00--> 00:02:14

And then Allah defines the people of Taqwa as those who believe in the unseen. And then Allah mentions a few more attributes of the minimum of the believers.

00:02:15--> 00:02:18

But law only gives a very brief description

00:02:19--> 00:02:21

of the minimum

00:02:22--> 00:02:24

of the believers very quickly.

00:02:27--> 00:02:35

Then Allah describes those who are opposed to the believers.

00:02:36--> 00:02:37

But again,

00:02:40--> 00:02:43

Allah only describes them very brief.

00:02:48--> 00:02:50

And there's a reason for this.

00:02:51--> 00:02:53

Those who are true believers.

00:02:56--> 00:02:59

They say what they mean they mean what they say.

00:03:03--> 00:03:06

There is a correspondence

00:03:07--> 00:03:13

and an agreement and a match between the interior and the exterior.

00:03:16--> 00:03:21

They don't lie in their belief. They don't deceive in their belly.

00:03:23--> 00:03:25

They say what they mean they mean what they say.

00:03:28--> 00:03:31

They are honest and truthful in their claim.

00:03:33--> 00:03:34

So with them,

00:03:36--> 00:03:43

you get what you see. And what you see is what you get. There's no lying, there's no deception.

00:03:44--> 00:03:49

They are believers by tongue and in heart. So

00:03:50--> 00:03:52

their affair is very clear.

00:03:53--> 00:03:59

There's no ambiguity. There's no murkiness. There's no confusion.

00:04:01--> 00:04:02

They are transparent.

00:04:04--> 00:04:21

And their affair is very clear. As a result, last hammer Haworth. Allah mentions a few of their qualities and attributes and then leaves it at that, a very brief discussion, description. Then Allah mentions their adversaries, those who

00:04:22--> 00:04:25

at the time of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi, wa salam

00:04:26--> 00:04:31

did not believe in the messenger, sallallahu alayhi wasallam, and they oppose the believers.

00:04:33--> 00:04:37

But they were also very honest and open.

00:04:39--> 00:04:40

They didn't believe

00:04:43--> 00:04:44

in heart.

00:04:45--> 00:04:50

And they also made it clear that they did not believe by their tongue.

00:04:51--> 00:04:56

They were honest. They were transparent. They were clear.

00:04:57--> 00:04:59

There was no ambiguity, no confusion.

00:05:00--> 00:05:01

No lying, no deception.

00:05:04--> 00:05:16

And so similar to the believers, Allah subhanho wa Taala mentions a few of the attributes and part of their description, and then very briefly leaves it at that.

00:05:18--> 00:05:20

Then Allah subhanho wa Taala

00:05:21--> 00:05:30

begins the third section of the beginning of Surah Baqarah in which Allah speaks of

00:05:32--> 00:05:34

them on Earth, the hypocrites

00:05:42--> 00:05:52

unlike the believers and their adversaries, and the time of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, Allah doesn't just vote devote two verses to them.

00:05:54--> 00:05:56

Allah devotes a whole 12 versus

00:06:02--> 00:06:05

not to three verses but a whole 12 verses.

00:06:06--> 00:06:07

And

00:06:09--> 00:06:26

the reason is, that unlike the believers and their adversaries at the time of the prophets, Allah, Allah, Allah, he was the one after all, well lives with deceivers, that affair was murky, confusing.

00:06:27--> 00:06:31

They weren't transparent, they were dishonest, they were deceptive.

00:06:33--> 00:06:36

As a result, they created confusion

00:06:39--> 00:06:41

answered, so to dispel this confusion,

00:06:43--> 00:06:45

and to highlight

00:06:48--> 00:06:50

their dishonesty and their lack of transparency

00:06:53--> 00:07:04

and to highlight the danger they posed to others unto themselves, Allah subhanho wa Taala Allah describes them on our own in much more detail.

00:07:08--> 00:07:10

And so Allah azza wa jal begins

00:07:11--> 00:07:18

with the words woman a nurse and when you're cooler Armen Billa he will be young in here a woman who many

00:07:20--> 00:07:22

and there are of the people,

00:07:23--> 00:07:24

those who say

00:07:27--> 00:07:29

we have believed in Allah

00:07:30--> 00:07:31

and in the final day

00:07:33--> 00:07:38

well Maha Mini, but Allah says, but they are not believes.

00:07:41--> 00:07:42

And before I continue

00:07:48--> 00:07:55

I just like to mention a few more things as an introduction about the FARC and the monarch.

00:07:57--> 00:07:58

And why

00:08:00--> 00:08:08

loss of Hannibal with Allah Allah has warned us in the Quran, why Rasul allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam has warned us in the Hadith

00:08:09--> 00:08:12

about hypocrisy and the traits of hypocrisy.

00:08:14--> 00:08:25

And it's very easy to fall into complacency. And think that hypocrisy doesn't concern me. Any discussion of Nipah

00:08:26--> 00:08:29

is not relevant to me, because I believe

00:08:30--> 00:08:36

we need to remember that NIFA hypocrisy is of different cards.

00:08:39--> 00:08:39

Number one,

00:08:42--> 00:08:47

the greatest hypocrisy or the great hypocrisy major hypocrisy

00:08:49--> 00:08:52

which is also known as hypocrisy in faith.

00:08:53--> 00:08:56

This is when a person professor's believe by tongue

00:08:57--> 00:08:59

and claims to be a believer.

00:09:00--> 00:09:04

And yet at heart, that person truly disbelieving

00:09:06--> 00:09:07

is not a belief.

00:09:09--> 00:09:12

So the person accepts by tongue but rejects by heart.

00:09:15--> 00:09:28

person claims to believe in Allah in His Rasul Sall Allahu alayhi wa salam in the final day, in the tenets and the articles of faith, and yet at heart the person denies that rejects them.

00:09:31--> 00:09:41

So this is the major hypocrisy, also known as hypocrisy Nefab, Iman meaning hypocrisy of faith.

00:09:43--> 00:09:54

But there are also other types of hypocrisy. And the second type of hypocrisy is Nipah gulaman which is hypocrisy of deed.

00:09:58--> 00:09:59

This is when a person

00:10:00--> 00:10:02

professors believe by tongue

00:10:04--> 00:10:09

and even believes in heart.

00:10:11--> 00:10:18

But that person's deeds, actions and behaviors do not match the claim of their tongue.

00:10:21--> 00:10:30

So even though at heart, they believe themselves that they are believers, they think of themselves that I'm a believer.

00:10:33--> 00:10:41

But although there's no mismatch between their tongue in their heart, there is a mismatch, and a lack of agreement

00:10:42--> 00:10:49

between their tongue and heart and their behavior, their actions and their deeds and their speech.

00:10:53--> 00:10:55

And so, that is a conflict,

00:10:56--> 00:11:13

there may not be an apparent conflict between their heart and tongue, because both the heart believes in Allah and the tongue believes in Allah. But there is definitely a conflict between what the heart believes and what the tongue says, and what the body does,

00:11:14--> 00:11:21

what the person does, how the person behaves. This is hypocrisy of deed.

00:11:23--> 00:11:26

And although this is the lesser hypocrisy,

00:11:28--> 00:11:48

there is a great danger that this lesser hypocrisy will lead to greater hypocrisy. Hypocrisy may begin in deeds, and eventually slip into major hypocrisy hypocrisy of belief. And there is a true danger for that because in Islam

00:11:51--> 00:11:52

one of the

00:11:53--> 00:12:02

things we can understand from the Quran and from the hadith is that every good deed leads to another good deed. Every good deed creates a momentum,

00:12:03--> 00:12:12

which propels a person towards the next good deed. Every subsequent good deed is easier because of the previous one.

00:12:14--> 00:12:18

And there are two paths, the path of good

00:12:20--> 00:12:27

and virtue and the part of the path of sin iniquity. When a person sets off on one path,

00:12:29--> 00:12:41

they continue to head in that direction, albeit slowly, but they continue to head in that direction. Every little good deed pushes them further and further down that path.

00:12:42--> 00:12:45

But similarly, when a person sets off on the path of sin,

00:12:47--> 00:13:06

they continue along that path. And every sin makes a subsequent sin easier. Every sin has its own momentum, which propels and pushes a person faster, quicker and further down that path of sin and corruption. And Allah refers to that in sort of too late as well.

00:13:09--> 00:13:11

Allah says in the Sarajevo militia,

00:13:13--> 00:13:15

indeed your effort is diverse.

00:13:18--> 00:13:31

Meaning when you get up in the morning when you spend your day, when you rise when you live your life, Oh, mankind, your deeds are different your efforts your endeavors are different. Everyone's doing something different.

00:13:34--> 00:13:51

But then Allah only splits the whole of mankind into two groups. Regardless of what your daily effort your daily activity, your daily behavior is, Allah says ultimately, there are only two groups of people for amomum Arab lava taka was said the Kabul RESNA.

00:13:53--> 00:13:56

As for one who gives a in charity,

00:13:57--> 00:14:03

and who is weary of Allah gods themselves from Allah fears Allah

00:14:05--> 00:14:10

will serve the public persona and who attests to the beautiful truth meaning Islam

00:14:14--> 00:14:22

for some of your civil Hall in usara, we shall ease him into ease and the other person what a man Aqua Amma

00:14:24--> 00:14:25

McCullough was still gonna

00:14:29--> 00:14:39

ask for one who opposite to the first person. The first one gives in charity. This one what amomum buckin. What does he do?

00:14:40--> 00:14:44

He proves to be stingy, tight fisted and miserly.

00:14:46--> 00:14:50

The second quality of the believer of the first good person was

00:14:52--> 00:14:55

what the QA that he was conscious of.

00:14:56--> 00:14:59

As a result, he was wary of Allah. This one

00:15:00--> 00:15:00

On

00:15:03--> 00:15:13

his second attribute is we're still gonna, he is not conscious of Allah. Rather, he considers himself aloof and independent of Allah.

00:15:15--> 00:15:33

And the third quality of the first person the believer of a good person was also a bill Krisna. He attested to the beautiful truth meaning Islam the Quran, and that's the second person's third quality or attributes is what gives them a bit of Krisna and he rejects the beautiful truth.

00:15:35--> 00:16:10

So for the first one, Allah subhanho wa Taala said we ease him into IE is meaning Allah azza wa jal, one of the meanings is Allah azza wa jal creates ease for him ease in what way, Allah creates ease by guiding him to further truth by guiding him to further good by guiding him through his virtuous deeds, to even greater virtue, and also the second person for some of your subtle, holy lastra, we should ease him into difficulty, meaning eat sin of his will lead to further sin.

00:16:12--> 00:16:30

Each sin carries its own momentum, and pushes them further into sin. So there are many other verses of the Quran that hint at this there are a hadith which can show the same. So ultimately, one of the things we learn in Islam is that and it's actually human nature.

00:16:32--> 00:16:47

A person does good the subsequent good becomes easier. person sins, the inhibition the reservation that a person first experience disappears. Sometimes a person wants to commit a sin. It's their first time.

00:16:49--> 00:16:59

There is fear, fear of shame, fear of guilt, fear of being caught out fear of embarrassment, fear of the consequences.

00:17:02--> 00:17:08

And there's a struggle in the knifes in the soul, between the good and the evil.

00:17:10--> 00:17:10

There's a struggle.

00:17:12--> 00:17:16

Sometimes a good wins over and the person persists, sometimes

00:17:19--> 00:17:35

the person slips into actually committing that sin, what happens? They commit the sin, they do that wrong, then some of that fear of the guilt of the shame of the embarrassment of being caught,

00:17:36--> 00:17:40

some of that fear of the consequence disappears.

00:17:44--> 00:17:45

And

00:17:46--> 00:17:51

the next sin, the next crime, the next rung, becomes easier.

00:17:52--> 00:17:55

And as the person continues along that path,

00:17:57--> 00:18:03

they continue to lose even more of that fear of that shame of that guilt.

00:18:05--> 00:18:18

Until the person becomes a psychopath, a social committing crimes, doing wrong without any conscience without a tinge.

00:18:20--> 00:18:29

of ill feeling without a tinge of guilt. It's almost like second nature. And in fact, it becomes part of their nature.

00:18:31--> 00:18:40

Just as the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said of truth instead of lying, and he can be searched for innocently Yeah, the little bit of a little barrier, the little Jana.

00:18:41--> 00:19:01

adhere to the truth for truth guides to virtue and virtue guides to Jana, or my example, Alma is Al Raja yesterday with her Setka hatha yoga and Allah his data, and the man continues to speak the truth and seek the truth until he is recorded as a voracious and extremely truthful person by all

00:19:02--> 00:19:13

and the opposite. Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam immediately says, what a year and we'll get him and beware of lying for in nilka dbrt Ill for jewel, for indeed lying leads to open the Senate.

00:19:15--> 00:19:16

openness.

00:19:18--> 00:19:22

One of the meanings of voodoo is not just to sin.

00:19:23--> 00:19:46

But just as fudging the crack of dawn, the break of light, where light comes and dispels darkness, that's the meaning of fetch for jewelry is related. And one a part of the related meaning is that voodoo refers to that disobedience to that corruption to that sin, which is committed openly without shame.

00:19:48--> 00:19:49

Open sinning.

00:19:51--> 00:19:56

So line leads to openly sinning and openness sinning leads to the fire.

00:19:58--> 00:19:59

And then the Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam

00:20:00--> 00:20:10

continues on Isobel Mizel original Yacht Club with Harold kaliber, hatha yoga in the LA HIQA Baba and a man country and a man lies and continues to lie

00:20:11--> 00:20:21

and continues to see capsulize until he is recorded as an extreme serial liar by Allah.

00:20:23--> 00:20:34

So, this hadith shows the same, each line leads to the next lie, lies lead to Johanna,

00:20:35--> 00:20:59

actually lies lead to openness sending openly sending leads to genuine truth leads to truth and truthfulness and honesty leads to virtue and piety, virtue and piety lead the person to gentler. So, given this understanding, the same is true from the far one shouldn't think that those traits those behaviors

00:21:01--> 00:21:09

those characteristics of hypocrisy that Allah has are a source of Allah it was salam have outlined in the Quran and the Hadith,

00:21:10--> 00:21:16

that if a person commits these crimes, these sins and is guilty of these wrongs,

00:21:17--> 00:21:23

but they will not lead to further sin and they will ultimately not lead to

00:21:24--> 00:21:25

greater hypocrisy.

00:21:27--> 00:21:36

And this is why in one verse, Allah subhanho wa Taala says, I mean, the hola hola in turn and fatherly, in the corner with an akuna nomina Salim.

00:21:38--> 00:22:12

There were those Allah says and they are of though there are of those that though such people who pledged to Allah, that if Allah gives us a wealth of his bouncing, let us set the pan, we will most assuredly give in Chauncey well in a cool meme, and we will most assuredly become of Minister Lehane of the pious. So the May two promises, they for love gives us wealth, we will give in charity and number two we will become we will become good.

00:22:13--> 00:22:33

What happened for the man or woman fondly? So when Allah did give them of his grace of his bounty of his wealth, what do they do back in OB? They proved to be stingy and miserly, they're off. They didn't give they were stingy. They refuse to give what the willow was already doing and they turned away whilst being negligent and heedless.

00:22:34--> 00:22:37

So they broke their promise to Allah.

00:22:39--> 00:22:47

Now, this verse suggests that these individuals were not hypocrites originally.

00:22:48--> 00:23:03

They were not hypocrites, originally, they actually believed. Because this is something which we will learn in the court during the course of the discussion of these many verses of the Quran, that at the time of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi, wa salam.

00:23:07--> 00:23:16

There were different types of hypocrites. There were those hypocrites, and Allah refers to all of them in the Quran, there were those hypocrites, who,

00:23:18--> 00:23:22

from the very outset, never ever believed by heart.

00:23:23--> 00:23:26

So they were never believers at heart.

00:23:30--> 00:23:43

They saw the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. And the believers gaining strength, gaining influence becoming more powerful, and they realize that it's far better for us to throw in our lot with these people.

00:23:45--> 00:23:51

So they only join the band of believers and the group of Muslims

00:23:52--> 00:23:57

for worldly benefits, and for their own security and safety,

00:23:58--> 00:24:00

for their own protection and prosperity.

00:24:01--> 00:24:06

But never for a moment did they believe not, not even at the beginning.

00:24:07--> 00:24:13

So that was one group of Manasa on hypocrites. There was another group that actually did embrace Islam.

00:24:15--> 00:24:19

So when they heard the words of Rasulullah, sallAllahu, wasallam, either directly,

00:24:21--> 00:24:23

or they learned about Islam through others.

00:24:24--> 00:24:34

They embraced Islam, genuinely. They wanted to believe they embraced they became proper believers.

00:24:35--> 00:24:40

Not just by tongue but in heart too. But then for some reason

00:24:45--> 00:24:46

doubt set in

00:24:48--> 00:24:50

the world got to them.

00:24:52--> 00:24:55

They became disillusioned disenchanted

00:24:56--> 00:24:59

all they weren't that strong of faith anyway.

00:25:00--> 00:25:19

So it took very little, to turn them to sway them. And then they continued to they never read, they actually renounced Islam in hearts. So they decided that this isn't for me. I'm not a believer, I do not believe. And

00:25:21--> 00:25:46

they rejected Islam at heart, even though they were believers. But by tongue, they continued to profess a slam, they remained with the Muslims, they remained with the band of believers, because just like the first group, they thought, it's far better for us to do that. So that was a second group, there was also another, this third group was such that

00:25:49--> 00:25:53

they embraced Islam,

00:25:55--> 00:26:00

they became believers at heart, but then that would set

00:26:02--> 00:26:09

them in doubt certain, they would sway they would swing to and from Islam.

00:26:11--> 00:26:14

So at times, they will be convinced at heart.

00:26:15--> 00:26:26

And at times, they would slip into doubt, serious doubt, which led to rejecting lungs or salts of Allah highly, then at times, they would sway back in.

00:26:28--> 00:26:31

So they will actually fluctuate between Islam

00:26:33--> 00:26:49

and rejection of Islam, not not by tongue because by tongue, they remain consistent, that we are believers. But at heart, they were inconsistent. They will fluctuate at times here at times there.

00:26:50--> 00:27:12

So that these were all different types of hypocrites. And this verse apparently suggests that these individuals who made this promise of charity and of being pious, if they were blessed with wealth, they were those individuals who had actually embraced Islam. So originally, they weren't hypocrites.

00:27:13--> 00:27:21

But they must have become one of the doubters, or weaken their faith, making false promises,

00:27:22--> 00:27:23

false pledges.

00:27:24--> 00:27:27

So when they broke their promise to Allah,

00:27:28--> 00:27:44

when he blessed them with wealth, and they refuse to give in charity, they withheld their money, and they never became one of the PI's what to the last panel? Who would Allah do for app doubling the Falcon fuel will be him. Allah Yomi Allah,

00:27:45--> 00:27:46

Allah,

00:27:48--> 00:27:49

as a punishment,

00:27:50--> 00:27:56

left NIFA hypocrisy in their hearts, till the day they shall meet.

00:27:57--> 00:28:54

Ye mimma in view of as a result of in punishment, have we made a colorful Lahoma where I do, they're breaking their promise to Allah will be marked, can we actually warn them because of their lie? This first clearly shows that it is highly possible for a person to be a believer initially, but through the deeds of hypocrisy, such as breaking promises, and such as lying, that that person eventually becomes not just a hypocrite, indeed, but hypocrites in faith. So the person continues to talk and live as a Muslim. But Allah subhanho wa Taala does not accept that person, as one of the believers because they have strayed into the field of undefinable Akbar, meaning the greater hypocrisy because

00:28:54--> 00:29:08

of their deeds, there is always that danger, so we should never be complacent. And this is why it's so important to identify and recognize these traits of hypocrisy and characteristics mentioned in the book.

00:29:10--> 00:29:13

Learn of them and beware of

00:29:15--> 00:29:17

this is what the Sahaba or the Allah learn from us to do.

00:29:20--> 00:29:23

This How about all the love and left an example for us?

00:29:24--> 00:29:30

Imam Buhari rams Allah here lay in his head. He establishes a chapter heading

00:29:32--> 00:29:33

bubble health and movement

00:29:35--> 00:29:37

mania bottle I'm a local

00:29:38--> 00:29:43

chapter and one of the things about a mammal hardier to La Healy is that

00:29:46--> 00:29:58

his chapter headings are vital to understanding his book. In fact, orlimar have said fickle Buhari if he Terashima that the FIP of Imam McCauley

00:29:59--> 00:29:59

his

00:30:00--> 00:30:10

rulings His laws, his understanding his interpretation of the text of the Scripture. All of this is to be found in fita Rajim in his chapter headings.

00:30:12--> 00:30:28

So Imam Khalid Abdullah here they establishes a chapter heading in his book in history, Bible health and minimum and you know what, oh Allah Israel chapter of the fear of a believer that his deeds perish whilst he doesn't even realize

00:30:30--> 00:30:39

and this is how a believer should be always conscious of always fearful of losing one's good deeds.

00:30:40--> 00:30:41

Without realize

00:30:42--> 00:30:48

this is what the Sahaba of the Allahu Anhu did. In fact, Allah warns us of that in the beginning of solitaire Hydra

00:30:50--> 00:31:01

Yeah, you hola Lena Amendola, Arthur Pharaoh sua Tuchman focus out in the beat, while at hula hoop will only continue rebounding from the bow and Tabitha Atma, look more into the show.

00:31:02--> 00:31:07

Oh believers, Do not raise your voices above the voice of the prophets.

00:31:09--> 00:31:12

And do not speak to him loudly as you speak loudly to each other.

00:31:15--> 00:31:16

Why?

00:31:17--> 00:31:25

lest your deeds perish without you even realizing. In this verse, Allah only mentions two things.

00:31:26--> 00:31:31

That Oh, Allah doesn't say oh hypocrites, man of Allah, Allah says,

00:31:34--> 00:31:44

are believers, oh, those who have believed, despite your iman, despite your good deeds, be very wary, be very conscious, be very careful

00:31:46--> 00:32:18

that you don't lose all of your faith in all of your deeds, by doing just one of two things, which is failure to respect the Prophet salallahu alayhi wa salam, by raising your voices, while speaking to him, or even raising your voices in his presence over and above his voice even while speaking to others. So a minor thing, but Allah warns us, law warns the Sahaba of the Allahu Anhu it's a minor thing.

00:32:20--> 00:32:25

That Be very careful. Be very wary that you do not lose your faith and your deeds.

00:32:27--> 00:32:33

Without even realizing by just raising your voice over the voice of the prophets of Allah Haile was

00:32:36--> 00:32:50

under this very chapter heading verbal holding me back to Amaroo who will allow your short chapter of the fear of a believer that his deeds shall perish without even realizing Imam Hari Rahmatullah here they mentions

00:32:52--> 00:32:54

these quotes

00:32:56--> 00:33:08

from ignobly Malayaka a Therby. A successor st into the Sahaba of the hola Juan and even from another Therby another success and student of the Sahaba the Allah one, Imam Al Hassan buslee.

00:33:09--> 00:33:20

So what does even know it'd be Malika, saying, even OB Malika says I'm a director theLA Athena Mina has harbored in the BSL Allahu alayhi wa salam. Good Aloha mahalo from Nicaragua.

00:33:21--> 00:33:29

I have met 30 companions of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa salam, every single one of them feared hypocrisy for himself.

00:33:32--> 00:33:34

Every one of them feared hypocrisy.

00:33:35--> 00:33:47

Not one of them would say, Imani Imani Jabra Ito mica E. That my faith my Eman is like the man of God or mica and then Imam Buhari quotes Imam. It has an embassy

00:33:49--> 00:34:04

who was another successor to the Sahaba of the Allah Han, and the Muhammad Hassan buslee. Although Mr. Bahari only mentions one thing here, it has some lists we mentioned a lot more. So the thing mentioned in Buhari is and it has some bus we used to say

00:34:05--> 00:34:08

that nifer up hypocrisy.

00:34:11--> 00:34:17

Only a believer fears hypocrisy and only a hypocrite feel safe from hypocrisy.

00:34:21--> 00:34:46

And in another narration, Imam Al Hassan robustly ranked Allah He is reported to have said that whoever survives in the dunya or whoever has passed on from the believers. There is not one of them who doesn't fear hypocrisy, and there is no hypocrite who remains in the world, or who has passed on, except that he always felt safe from hypocrisy.

00:34:47--> 00:34:52

And in fact, I'm gonna hustle and bustle Lee wracking to learn to use it's he's quoted to have said

00:34:53--> 00:34:57

Whoever doesn't fear hypocrisy, he is a hypocrite.

00:34:58--> 00:35:00

Whoever doesn't fear Hip Hop

00:35:00--> 00:35:09

coarsely. He is a hypocrite, just as the orlimar say, anyone who says I am not arrogant, he is indeed arrogant.

00:35:11--> 00:35:17

Whoever clears himself of the sin of arrogance

00:35:19--> 00:35:22

can only do that because He is arrogant enough to do.

00:35:26--> 00:35:29

So only one who declares himself pure from arrogance.

00:35:33--> 00:35:46

One who declares himself or herself pure from arrogance is truly an arrogant because it's only arrogance that causes them to do that. A humble person always fears arrogance, even though they are extremely humble.

00:35:49--> 00:35:50

That's part of humility.

00:35:52--> 00:36:10

Part of arrogance is a denial of arrogance. And part of humility is the constant fear of arrogance. Similarly, part of hypocrisy is the denial of hypocrisy or complacency from hypocrisy, or the lack of fear of hypocrisy or the feeling of safety from hypocrisy.

00:36:11--> 00:36:20

And one of the characteristics of Eman is the fear of losing that Eman and the fear of nofap and hypocrisy.

00:36:23--> 00:36:25

In my Muslim Rahmatullah, how they relate to Hadith from

00:36:28--> 00:36:35

hamdulillah Hodel the Allahu and one of the companions of Rasul allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam who was also his scribe, he used to write for him.

00:36:39--> 00:36:40

And handler huddle the Allah and

00:36:42--> 00:36:45

once went home, he was sitting with the Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam in his gathering.

00:36:51--> 00:36:52

He went home.

00:36:54--> 00:36:56

And he began playing with his children

00:36:59--> 00:37:01

engaging with his family.

00:37:03--> 00:37:06

And then he suddenly realized something he said,

00:37:08--> 00:37:10

When I am with the Messenger of Allah,

00:37:11--> 00:37:14

and he speaks tours of Jana and gentlemen,

00:37:16--> 00:37:17

of the Arca

00:37:18--> 00:37:22

it is as though these things are before our very eyes.

00:37:23--> 00:37:32

Yet as soon as we leave his presence and we come home, we become engaged and immersed in our children in our families in our belongings.

00:37:33--> 00:37:35

And we forget so much.

00:37:37--> 00:37:39

We are different people all together.

00:37:42--> 00:37:47

So hamdulillah Hilde Allah on herself. But now *a hamdulillah Al Hamdulillah has become a monarchy

00:37:48--> 00:37:50

or humbler has committed hypocrisy.

00:37:52--> 00:37:56

Now, why did he say he didn't think that he had left Islam

00:37:58--> 00:38:05

but even he defined hypocrisy as being that mismatch that incongruency

00:38:07--> 00:38:08

that lack of connection

00:38:10--> 00:38:14

between one condition and the other that conflict

00:38:15--> 00:38:17

that lack of consistency

00:38:19--> 00:38:25

so handler of the Allah I'm decided to go to see you soon. allah sallallahu alayhi wa salam and share his concern with him.

00:38:26--> 00:38:33

So when he came out of the house, lo and behold, he met a bucket of the Allah Azza wa barakato. The Allah varn said to him, oh 100 Allah, how are you?

00:38:34--> 00:38:43

So handler of the Allahu Anhu said in Africa hundra hamdulillah has committed and if up, has committed hypocrisy, so because of the love and said why do you say this?

00:38:45--> 00:38:46

So he explained to him he said,

00:38:47--> 00:39:02

when we are with Rasul Allah salAllahu Alaihe Salam and He speaks to us of the earth. Jana of Genom. It says as though these things are before our very eyes. Yet when we come home, and we become engaged with our families, with our children with our belongings, we forget.

00:39:04--> 00:39:07

So buckle the alarm said Indeed, it's very true.

00:39:09--> 00:39:21

So they both went to Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi, wa salam unexplained handler of the Allahu Allah explained his situation to him, his condition. Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, oh hamdulillah

00:39:22--> 00:39:32

if you and he wasn't just addressing him, he was it was a collective address. He said, If all of you if you people, if you people were to remain

00:39:34--> 00:39:50

in the same state that you are in when you are in my presence, if you were to continue in that state, if you were to persist in that state, then the angels would meet you even in your bed on your beds and even in the streets.

00:39:52--> 00:39:55

But what I can satin satin,

00:39:56--> 00:39:59

yeah, humbler? But oh hamdulillah satin, satin satin.

00:40:00--> 00:40:11

satin satin satin, he said it three times. But oh handler. This can only happen occasionally. Occasionally this can only happen occasionally occasionally. This can only happen occasionally occasionally.

00:40:12--> 00:40:21

Indeed, because when someone is in the presence of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is differently affect different environments, climates atmosphere all together.

00:40:23--> 00:40:29

But this is how fearful the Sahaba or the Allah horn were of hypocrisy.

00:40:30--> 00:40:45

Remarkable the Allahu Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said to him, said of him, that he is one of the 10 promised Jin I modeled the Allah haram. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam told him clearly that will Rama

00:40:46--> 00:40:50

you do not walk the street except that Shavon walks into the streets

00:40:53--> 00:41:05

OH MY GOD, ALLAH who would speak words on Earth and Allah would reveal verses of the Quran directly matching the words of Marathi Allah.

00:41:08--> 00:41:12

There were occasions when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam had an opinion.

00:41:14--> 00:41:18

Abu Bakr Radi Allahu Allah had an opinion there were so close to each other.

00:41:19--> 00:41:26

They resembled one another, in character in behavior in Acts in deeds and speech.

00:41:28--> 00:41:40

So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam had an opinion Abubaker of the Allahu and had an opinion and the opinion of Abu Bakr the Lavon agreed with the opinion of assault Allah Subhan Allah Allah who was

00:41:41--> 00:41:59

murdered the Allah Hara and had another opinion, which was different even to the Messenger of Allah and Abu Bakr Radi Allahu and both is seniors. Allah subhana wa Allah revealed verses of the Quran admonishing the messenger salAllahu alayhi wa salam and approving the opinion of our model the alarm

00:42:03--> 00:42:03

that was Omar,

00:42:04--> 00:42:05

and yet

00:42:07--> 00:42:34

murder the Marathi Allah RN used to ask Are they for taglia man are the Allah Han who is a keeper of the secrets of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa salam and to whom the messenger sallallahu alayhi wa sallam had divulge some of the names of them and if not all, even her they for huddle, the Allah Han did not know the names of all of them on African. According some generations, he only knew 14 names only 14

00:42:37--> 00:42:38

He was the only one

00:42:40--> 00:42:42

and the Sahaba of the Allahu Anhu knew that.

00:42:43--> 00:42:47

So amaro de la hora and used to ask Are they for Oh, are they for

00:42:49--> 00:42:51

a my one of those

00:42:52--> 00:42:58

that the messenger sallallahu alayhi wa salam named as one of them on our own as one of the hypocrites

00:43:01--> 00:43:25

with they follow the law and when he wants asked him the story that they follow the alarm seated in the masjid or model the alarm came, and he said, Oh, they for such and such person has passed away, attend his janazah and one of the reasons why unmodeled the lover and would request with a for huddle the alarm to attend the janazah he would watch

00:43:26--> 00:43:56

if someone passed away and they followed the Allah and attended the janazah and modeled the alarm was content. But at least that person wasn't in the list of the hypocrites that the prophets of Allah Allahu wa sallam had shared with with Eva huddled the Allah horn. So on one occasion he came with a file called the Allah and was seated in the masjid. He said to him, oh, with Eva such and such a person has passed away, attend his janazah and then he left. He went to the door of the Masjid. Then he came back and he said, Oh, are they fair? Tell me

00:43:58--> 00:44:02

am I one of those that the messenger sort of alarm it was mentioned?

00:44:03--> 00:44:33

Or they've heard the alarm said no, and they listen to the words of Khalifa will the alarm? He said no. But I will not exonerate anyone after you. I will never ever say the same of anyone after you. So the only person I will openly say that his name wasn't mentioned, is you. But I'm not going to say that for anyone else. I modeled the Allah and began waving there in the masjid.

00:44:34--> 00:44:43

The Sahaba or the Allahu even those were promised Jana, by the Messenger of Allah feared hypocrisy for themselves. So what lessons should be learned from this?

00:44:45--> 00:44:56

Allah subhanho wa grantors that though feet and the realization that we should fear, hypocrisy, and the traits of hypocrisy.

00:44:57--> 00:44:59

So let's begin with these

00:45:00--> 00:45:08

verses of Surah Baqarah Allah subhanho wa Taala Allah says woman and Nassima your poodle Allah Nabila, he will be young in the earth, they will now be macmini

00:45:09--> 00:45:16

and they are of the P, those who say, we have believed in Allah and in the final day

00:45:18--> 00:45:24

Mamma Mia Nene, Allah denies their belief and Allah says they are not believes. Why?

00:45:26--> 00:45:47

Because they profess belief by tongue, but at heart, they deny it, irrespective of whether they never believed it, or at one time they did believe it, but right now, though they profess by tongue that they are believers in Allah and in the final day and in the Hereafter, at heart they are not believes.

00:45:49--> 00:45:51

This is this is the greater hypocrisy.

00:45:53--> 00:45:56

Levin says you have the rune Allah Ha ha ha.

00:45:59--> 00:46:02

Sorry, Allah says that elsewhere. Here, Allah azza wa jal says,

00:46:04--> 00:46:06

you have the own Allah who will Lavina Amman.

00:46:10--> 00:46:10

They

00:46:13--> 00:46:15

attempt to deceive Allah.

00:46:17--> 00:46:20

Well, Lavina Aman, and those who have believed

00:46:24--> 00:46:28

so let's pause here. Your call their own Allah who will Lavina Armen.

00:46:31--> 00:46:35

They attempt to deceive law and the believers.

00:46:38--> 00:46:39

And this is

00:46:42--> 00:46:47

the first major trait of hypocrisy that we need to be aware of

00:46:49--> 00:46:54

deception, there are a few that aren't means in Arabic means deception,

00:46:56--> 00:46:57

playing games,

00:46:58--> 00:46:59

deceiving,

00:47:01--> 00:47:02

trying to make fools off

00:47:04--> 00:47:04

others.

00:47:06--> 00:47:11

Deception is not the behavior of a believer.

00:47:16--> 00:47:24

I believe one of the things you will notice about all of these traits or hypocrisy is that for every single trait of hypocrisy,

00:47:25--> 00:47:32

the opposite will be very true for Iman and for the money for Eman and the beliefs.

00:47:33--> 00:47:37

So what's the opposite of deception? Innocence?

00:47:38--> 00:47:40

A believer is innocent.

00:47:44--> 00:47:47

A believer is innocent. A believer is trusting

00:47:49--> 00:47:50

a believer trusts others

00:47:56--> 00:47:57

I believe that accepts

00:48:01--> 00:48:01

it's mentioned

00:48:03--> 00:48:05

that Lisa Imodium it his cellar

00:48:06--> 00:48:10

visa prophets visa they saw a man stealing

00:48:12--> 00:48:13

he saw a man stealing

00:48:18--> 00:48:20

so he confronted him

00:48:22--> 00:48:25

to verify and he said have you stolen

00:48:27--> 00:48:31

so the men swore by Allah and said I swear by Allah I haven't stopped.

00:48:33--> 00:48:35

So the Prophet Isa alayhi salam said

00:48:37--> 00:48:40

I reject my eyes and I believe in Allah.

00:48:44--> 00:48:46

The meaning of the hadith is

00:48:48--> 00:48:55

that I'll keep it very simple. There are lengthy explanations in the commentary of Hadith. While keep it very simple. The lesson for us to learn is

00:48:57--> 00:49:00

be somebody whom Allah has Salam. So someone Steve

00:49:02--> 00:49:02

now

00:49:07--> 00:49:09

it appeared to be stealing.

00:49:13--> 00:49:13

But

00:49:15--> 00:49:16

there's a possibility.

00:49:17--> 00:49:25

There was a slim possibility, a remote chance that it wasn't stealing. There must have been a very valid innocent explanation for it.

00:49:26--> 00:49:32

So so no, Maria Maria has arranged Miss Salam. He confronted him to verify he confronted him and said, Have you stolen?

00:49:35--> 00:49:38

So the man denied it? He said, No, I haven't by lie. I haven't.

00:49:42--> 00:50:00

So so no, Maria, Maria has Sara discounted all the possibility and all the apparent certainty and the appearance of that person stealing an E similar medium ID he must have accepted that person's word because he swore in the name of Allah because

00:50:00--> 00:50:05

As indeed there may have been a slim chance that there was a very valid explanation for his behavior

00:50:12--> 00:50:23

because the person swore in the Name of Allah, and Eastern nobody made him a Salam said, I reject my eyes on I believe in Allah, meaning I accept your oath in the name of Allah.

00:50:25--> 00:50:28

That's how I believe it is a believer is innocent believing.

00:50:33--> 00:50:37

And a believer suffers because of his innocence and honesty.

00:50:39--> 00:50:43

Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam them on Earth for whom the hypocrites would come to him, lie to him.

00:50:45--> 00:50:46

Give him false explanations.

00:50:49--> 00:50:57

Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would accept what they say, before the walk. They came to him and said, Yeah rasool Allah, we have this

00:50:58--> 00:51:03

necessity we have that excuse we have this reason why we can't join you.

00:51:05--> 00:51:07

So the prophets Allah, Allah Allah,

00:51:09--> 00:51:12

Allah azza wa jal even said to him, if Allah Allah and limit them,

00:51:14--> 00:51:18

may Allah forgive you or messenger of ALLAH, why did you grant them permission?

00:51:20--> 00:51:26

Even the Prophet salallahu alayhi salam was innocent, believing, trusting.

00:51:28--> 00:51:48

That's a character of a believer. The opposite is true of a mana flip. And when our fic doesn't trust anyone, and will now affect is always playing games. And when that is deceiving, lying, manipulative, treacherous, treasonous

00:51:50--> 00:51:51

when Africa's always shifting,

00:51:53--> 00:51:54

he has a shifty attitude.

00:51:55--> 00:52:07

He cannot be true, he doesn't trust me he cannot be trusted himself. Because I'm gonna fitness forever deceiving, forever playing games. Their whole life is one of

00:52:09--> 00:52:12

deception. Everything about

00:52:16--> 00:52:21

they do it so much, that they even try to deceive Allah

00:52:25--> 00:52:30

you have their own Allahu Allah says here. You have their own Allah who will Lavina Armen.

00:52:32--> 00:52:51

They attempt to deceive Allah and the believers here specifically, how were they deceiving Allah and or trying to deceive Allah and the believers obviously to the believers to Rasul allah sallallahu alayhi salam, they said to him, we are believers, we believe in Allah, we are with you.

00:52:54--> 00:53:01

And they would go away and laugh. They would laugh at the Muslims, they would laugh at the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa salam, they will laugh amongst themselves.

00:53:05--> 00:53:08

They will crack jokes about how they were believed

00:53:10--> 00:53:11

and how people trusted them

00:53:13--> 00:53:14

and how they got away with this

00:53:19--> 00:53:22

so they were they were deceiving the believers.

00:53:24--> 00:53:27

But there's another thing here about their

00:53:29--> 00:53:45

about deception, and specifically the deception of them on Earth, the deception of the hypocrites, which is that the hypocrites is delusional. The hypocrite suffers from delusions, delusions of grandeur, delusions,

00:53:46--> 00:53:48

of being special,

00:53:49--> 00:53:49

how?

00:53:51--> 00:53:53

The hypocrite is delusional.

00:53:55--> 00:53:56

So delusional.

00:53:57--> 00:54:08

They think they are special. They think they are extremely clever. They grin and smirk because they think they've got away with it. Because they think they are winning.

00:54:13--> 00:54:17

And they become so self confident and so arrogant.

00:54:18--> 00:54:24

That just as they think they get away by deceiving others, they think they can get away by deceiving Allah

00:54:28--> 00:54:49

not just in the dunya but in the ACA That's why Allah says elsewhere in the Quran. Yong Li a bathroom Allah Who Jimmy and for the foreigner local gum if any foreigner let them. We ask them on an Amana sheet, Allah in the womb. You start with Allah he will shape on the foot and sound the Kerala will like his betrayed lung.

00:54:52--> 00:54:55

Allah in his best shape on your heart settle. Allah says

00:54:57--> 00:54:59

on the day when Allah shall raise all of them

00:55:03--> 00:55:04

The hypocrites.

00:55:06--> 00:55:14

So what will the hypocrites do for the phone? Allah Who Am I? And if you want to look them, they will swear to Allah just as they used to swear to you.

00:55:15--> 00:55:27

So in the dunya, just as they would say to the believers, I swear by Allah, I am speaking the truth. I swear by Allah, this is the truth. I swear by Allah, I am not lie.

00:55:29--> 00:55:39

And then if the innocent believer says, Look, he's sworn by the name of Allah, he's sworn with the name of Allah. He's sworn by law. Okay, I accept. Look,

00:55:41--> 00:55:42

the fact of life is

00:55:44--> 00:55:53

the innocent, will always be deceived. The innocent will always be wrong. As they say, Good guys come last.

00:55:55--> 00:55:58

Good guys come last in the dunya.

00:55:59--> 00:56:02

But by Allah, they are at the front and the

00:56:04--> 00:56:16

good guys come last, the innocent suffer. Why? Because others manipulate them, exploit them, take advantage of them, lie to them, deceive them, wronged them.

00:56:18--> 00:56:23

And the innocent Mothman doesn't behave like the deceiving woman.

00:56:25--> 00:56:27

So the innocent not mimic sense.

00:56:28--> 00:56:39

And there's no protection against lying. So if if you've ever been a victim of injustice, a victim of lying, a victim of false propaganda, a victim of

00:56:40--> 00:56:42

innuendo of

00:56:43--> 00:56:47

aspersions being cast on your character, of rumor mongering

00:56:49--> 00:56:51

or of defamation,

00:56:53--> 00:56:54

to whatever degree

00:56:55--> 00:57:01

and do not grieve the messengers of Allah alayhi wa Salatu was Salam were victims of the same.

00:57:03--> 00:57:11

The greatest of people were victims of the same, because in the dunya, there is no protection against lie, there isn't.

00:57:13--> 00:57:16

They will lie to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam

00:57:20--> 00:57:21

and there was no protection

00:57:23--> 00:57:24

against lying there.

00:57:27--> 00:57:32

So when these Maffetone in the dunya will swear in the name of Allah

00:57:33--> 00:57:34

and deceive

00:57:36--> 00:57:40

the innocent believers, Allah soprano, what do they do in the dunya?

00:57:42--> 00:57:46

When a person like I said they play games and when if it plays games,

00:57:47--> 00:57:49

and whenever they win

00:57:50--> 00:58:00

each round of this continuous lifelong game, they are exuberant, they are elated, they celebrate in themselves or with their friends.

00:58:02--> 00:58:03

When a thief

00:58:05--> 00:58:05

steal something

00:58:08--> 00:58:17

he can't keep it to himself. He has to show his spoils to his fellow thieves. So this is what I got.

00:58:18--> 00:58:19

Leave and compete with each other

00:58:26--> 00:58:26

so

00:58:29--> 00:58:30

when I'm gonna fit

00:58:32--> 00:58:33

plays

00:58:35--> 00:58:38

each round of this lifelong game of deception.

00:58:40--> 00:58:41

Every round that they when

00:58:43--> 00:58:49

they feel exuberant, elated, they feel a sense of achievement and accomplishment.

00:58:50--> 00:58:52

They are satisfied and smug.

00:58:53--> 00:59:07

And they at least believe in themselves if they don't share it with others that I did it. I did it a fool them have deceived them? I got away with it.

00:59:08--> 00:59:10

And that makes them feel confident and happy.

00:59:12--> 00:59:17

So Allah subhanho wa Taala says when a Munna such as this

00:59:20--> 00:59:24

deceives others, he becomes so delusional that he tries to deceive Allah.

00:59:27--> 00:59:41

And on your will Yama he will do what he used to do in the dunya. So Allah says yo yo batho Mulago Jamia and on the day when Allah shall raise all of them fearfully formula who can I afford to let them so they will then swear to Allah just as they swear to you?

00:59:42--> 00:59:45

Were suborn and Nomada che

00:59:46--> 00:59:49

and even in the earth era, momentarily, they will think

00:59:51--> 00:59:53

I'm sworn to Allah and I've got away with it.

00:59:54--> 00:59:58

Even with Allah, they will think I've got away with it.

01:00:01--> 01:00:04

Whereas a woman no matter shows they think they are on something.

01:00:06--> 01:00:06

And

01:00:07--> 01:00:12

the moon Allah says, Lo beware, they indeed are the liars.

01:00:14--> 01:00:21

So why are they like this? Why are they so deceiving so deceptive so delusional? Some mad

01:00:22--> 01:00:29

is that with it he will shape on the for uncertain the Corolla shaped long has overwhelmed

01:00:32--> 01:00:34

shape on has overcome them

01:00:36--> 01:00:40

and this caused them to forget Allah forget the remembrance of Allah.

01:00:41--> 01:00:50

Allah like his will shape on these these people are the party of shaper and indeed is the party of che bomb that is the loser

01:00:52--> 01:01:04

party of che bomb is the one that has losers. So you heard the rain Allahu Allah Dina almond will Allah says these when I fit boom they deceive or attempt to deceive law.

01:01:07--> 01:01:22

And that's why another verse in Amana knew how the rain Allah hoo hoo ha they written that indeed the hypocrites, Allah says of the hypocrites, you have their own Allahu wa their own, they attempt to deceive Allah what will have their own whereas it is Allah who is keeping them in error.

01:01:26--> 01:01:34

So you have their own Allahu Allah Lena Arman, they attempt to deceive Allah and the believers well my the only learn for some

01:01:36--> 01:01:37

are my short

01:01:39--> 01:01:42

and they do not deceive anyone but themselves.

01:01:46--> 01:01:48

My the only ILA and facade

01:01:49--> 01:01:54

they do not deceive anyone but themselves. And they don't even realize

01:01:55--> 01:01:56

they don't even real.

01:01:59--> 01:02:07

So they haven't got away with anything. They haven't made fools of anyone but themselves. They haven't defeated anyone except themselves.

01:02:08--> 01:02:14

They haven't wronged anyone except themselves. They haven't harmed anyone except themselves.

01:02:17--> 01:02:22

And that's the nature of hypocrisy. That's the nature of deception.

01:02:23--> 01:02:27

They may get away with it for a short while, but ultimately in the long term.

01:02:29--> 01:02:32

They will never get away with it either in this dunya or in the

01:02:34--> 01:02:40

Maya if they only learn for some they do not deceive anyone but themselves and they don't even realize

01:02:44--> 01:02:51

vehicle will be modeled in law continues in their hearts that is a disease that is a sickness.

01:02:53--> 01:02:55

And that sickness is dat

01:02:57--> 01:02:59

for the home law model.

01:03:01--> 01:03:06

So Allah increases them a lot increase them in their sickness

01:03:14--> 01:03:20

Well, whom I love them at EMA come up boom. And for them as a painful punishment because of their lie.

01:03:24--> 01:03:29

So their hearts they are sick people, and will now if it is sick.

01:03:31--> 01:03:33

And when if it is sick in the heart,

01:03:34--> 01:03:35

and some of them are sick in the head.

01:03:38--> 01:03:38

Truly

01:03:40--> 01:03:44

those who exhibit psychopathic sociopathic behavior

01:03:46--> 01:03:50

where they actually relish hurting others.

01:03:52--> 01:03:55

They don't just suffer a sickness of the soul.

01:03:58--> 01:04:00

But they suffer a sickness of sanity.

01:04:04--> 01:04:07

So Allah says in their hearts that is a sickness.

01:04:08--> 01:04:15

So Allah increase them in their sickness. Again same thing, each sin

01:04:16--> 01:04:21

leads to further sin. Each sin creates momentum.

01:04:23--> 01:04:39

And so, their behaviors lead to further behaviors. This is the meaning of fossa the hula hula marathon. So la increase them in sickness, welcome urban illegal monogamy ugly boom and for them is a painful punishment because of their lie.

01:04:40--> 01:04:44

So, this is another trait of hypocrisy which is very famous line.

01:04:45--> 01:04:46

Part of deception

01:04:48--> 01:04:51

and will now lies a believer speaks the truth.

01:04:57--> 01:05:00

Many other verses will come which all speakers

01:05:00--> 01:05:23

line and in sha Allah I will reference them. And I'll say, a bit each time about lying. But so don't say it's all in one go. But lying I've spoken about it before many occasions. This is another chief trait of hypocrisy. In fact, in a hadith laid by Manmohan Singh, a man Muslim from Abu Huraira huddled the Allah

01:05:26--> 01:05:29

Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, I am going after

01:05:31--> 01:05:32

the sign of the moon Earth.

01:05:35--> 01:05:37

The signs of I'm gonna fill all three

01:05:40--> 01:06:03

that had the thick of the first one is in their head, the third gather when he speaks he lives. So the very first sign that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam mentioned in this famous Hadith about the traits of hypocrisy is, I have done one afterthought in our head that together with our word, the way that Domina harm, when he speaks he lies.

01:06:04--> 01:06:07

When he promises he breaks his promise.

01:06:08--> 01:06:10

When he is interested,

01:06:12--> 01:06:13

he betrays

01:06:16--> 01:06:17

he breaks that trust.

01:06:19--> 01:06:24

So the first trait that the prophets of Allah had equals the dimension is lie.

01:06:25--> 01:06:42

Lying is part of hypocrisy. Lying leads to hypocrisy even if a person isn't a hypocrite, constant lying just as in that other verse, For our kaboom the forbidden field could all be Camila Yomi OMA, so Allah gave them in punishment,

01:06:45--> 01:07:03

hypocrisy in their hearts till the day they shall meet him, because of their breaking their promise to Allah and because of their lie. So lying leads to hypocrisy and lying is part of hypocrisy. Lying is part of that deception, almost become second nature.

01:07:07--> 01:07:16

So Allah says because of because of their lying for them as a painful punishment, a loving continues what you are feeling Allahu Allah to see to fill Otto

01:07:18--> 01:07:19

Paulo in the magnanimous theory.

01:07:20--> 01:07:25

When it is said to them, Do not make mischief on earth

01:07:27--> 01:07:30

does not create corruption on earth.

01:07:33--> 01:07:36

And corruption doesn't mean corruption on a wide scale.

01:07:38--> 01:07:39

It means sin.

01:07:40--> 01:07:43

Sin is corruption, sin is mischief.

01:07:45--> 01:07:48

A wrongdoing is corruption a wrongdoing is mischief.

01:07:52--> 01:07:55

Every sin pollutes every sin contaminates.

01:07:56--> 01:08:06

Every sin harms. Sometimes it just harms the individual. Sometimes it harms individual and others. Sometimes sins harm the whole of society.

01:08:10--> 01:08:11

So when it's a set to them,

01:08:13--> 01:08:38

Do not make mischief on Earth. Do not create corruption on earth do not spread corruption on earth. The corruption here isn't necessarily isn't necessarily a reference to major widespread, devastating corruption on a huge scale. No, even individually just means when it's a set to them. Do not sin, do not disobey.

01:08:40--> 01:08:41

They never accept.

01:08:42--> 01:08:49

Without theta long, lots of snow fill out when it's said to them, Do not make mischief.

01:08:50--> 01:08:59

Or in the manosphere on they say no, no. In fact, we are the ones who are doing good. We are the reformers.

01:09:00--> 01:09:01

We are the reformers.

01:09:05--> 01:09:08

Allah in Whom who will move soon. Will Akela

01:09:09--> 01:09:18

name they themselves are the characters. They themselves are the Mischief Makers. They themselves are the sinners.

01:09:19--> 01:09:20

But they don't realize

01:09:22--> 01:09:24

this is another trait of NIFA.

01:09:27--> 01:09:46

Delusion and arrogance and refusal to accept blame. refusal to acknowledge wrongdoing, refusal to apologize. The person won't apologize unless they accept that they did wrong.

01:09:51--> 01:09:55

No human being is perfect. Everyone makes mistakes everyone

01:10:01--> 01:10:16

So, part of humility, part of being a normal human being a normal human being, is that a person accepts that no one is perfect. I'm not perfect, I can make mistakes. And I made a mistake.

01:10:17--> 01:10:21

It doesn't diminish me. It doesn't reduce me.

01:10:22--> 01:10:27

It doesn't devalue me. If I accept that I am a healer.

01:10:29--> 01:10:30

And that I made a mistake.

01:10:33--> 01:10:45

And I accept. And I sincerely apologize. And the apology should be sincere. Not for the future. But for the past. Many people apologize for the future, not for the past.

01:10:46--> 01:10:52

meaning they've done something wrong, but they refuse to accept that they've done something wrong.

01:10:53--> 01:11:06

And when they are pushed and compelled to apologize. First of all, the apology isn't forthcoming willingly. And eventually it's extracted from them with great pain with great exertion.

01:11:08--> 01:11:12

So theirs is a very contorted, convoluted apology.

01:11:14--> 01:11:15

And even when they do apologize

01:11:18--> 01:11:22

I apologize if any offence was caused, if

01:11:25--> 01:11:31

I apologize if you were hurt, even the wording, so

01:11:33--> 01:11:39

I never did anything. And whatever I did, I never hurt you by that.

01:11:40--> 01:11:41

You will hurt yourself.

01:11:44--> 01:11:46

So I apologize if you were hurt.

01:11:47--> 01:11:57

So you're feeling hurt is also your fault. Not mine. I never hurt you. I never did anything. You were hurt. That's your problem, you're weak.

01:12:01--> 01:12:04

And then the person says, Well, if you don't apologize,

01:12:05--> 01:12:13

there will be no further connection between us. Okay, okay. All right. I'm sorry. See that apology is not for the past. It's for the fuge

01:12:15--> 01:12:19

the apologies for the future to secure further self interest

01:12:21--> 01:12:26

to ward off and to prevent self harm or the loss of any prospect.

01:12:27--> 01:12:35

So even that apology is extremely insincere. It's merely a mechanism a tool to gain an advantage for the future.

01:12:37--> 01:12:38

So

01:12:39--> 01:12:48

this is another trait of NIFA of hypocrisy, refusal to accept blame refusal to refuse or to acknowledge wrong

01:12:50--> 01:12:51

and to accept that I did something wrong.

01:12:53--> 01:13:02

Even Rasul allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam being who he was, as soon as allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would apologize sincerely.

01:13:11--> 01:13:19

On occasion, some men of the Sahaba or the love and they said to the Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam ya rasool Allah, as one companion

01:13:21--> 01:13:26

happened, the more than one occasion where they said to him, you have wronged me.

01:13:27--> 01:13:29

So I want recompense.

01:13:30--> 01:13:31

I want compensation.

01:13:34--> 01:13:48

Now, number of stories, which I'll go into on another occasion, so but they all ended beautifully. It was just the Sahaba of the Allahu Anhu trying to win away to get close to Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi salam.

01:13:50--> 01:13:56

And in one Hadith Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa salam prayed to Allah He had openly said Oh ALLAH

01:13:59--> 01:14:00

I'm bitter HeMan.

01:14:02--> 01:14:05

So, I get hangry just as they get hangry.

01:14:07--> 01:14:19

So for a Umar Raju Lin, sub to who alando whichever man I have verbally abused, what I have cursed, oh Allah make this a charity and forgiveness for him and

01:14:23--> 01:14:25

he acknowledged

01:14:26--> 01:14:29

that he gets angry just as human humans get angry.

01:14:30--> 01:14:41

And that if ever he has said something that he shouldn't have, that all that Allah makes his word, a means of forgiveness and expiation and charity for them in that

01:14:42--> 01:14:47

even Rasul allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam being who you ask, except

01:14:48--> 01:14:49

acknowledge

01:14:51--> 01:14:53

and that's how a believer should be.

01:14:55--> 01:14:59

A believer is confidence, confidence and what

01:15:00--> 01:15:05

believe that is confident in the knowledge assured in the knowledge that I'm a human being.

01:15:08--> 01:15:14

And there is good in me, and that is bad and there are strengths than me. And there are weaknesses in me.

01:15:15--> 01:15:19

I'm not perfect. I'm far from perfect.

01:15:23--> 01:15:30

They don't go to any one extreme. So the believer says, and believes of himself, that I may not be an angel.

01:15:32--> 01:15:33

But I am not the devil.

01:15:36--> 01:15:37

I'm somewhere in between.

01:15:41--> 01:15:42

So

01:15:44--> 01:15:45

a belief that is balanced

01:15:47--> 01:15:48

in their view of themselves.

01:15:51--> 01:15:59

And of themselves, they believe that I'm not perfect. I'm a human being. I make mistakes, I have made mistakes, I will continue to make mistakes.

01:16:02--> 01:16:12

And that doesn't diminish me. It doesn't reduce me it doesn't devalue me if I say sorry. And if I accept, sorry, is such a powerful word, it's disarming.

01:16:14--> 01:16:15

It's Verbal Judo.

01:16:17--> 01:16:21

It flows the other person, as long as the other person is a normal person.

01:16:23--> 01:16:23

Truly

01:16:26--> 01:16:27

imagined two people argument.

01:16:31--> 01:16:34

One person, the wrongs person

01:16:35--> 01:16:41

is ranting, raving arms, flailing, shouting, threatening all sorts of things.

01:16:42--> 01:16:43

That's the anger talking.

01:16:45--> 01:16:46

That's the shape on product.

01:16:49--> 01:17:01

Now the other person can react in one of two ways. Either they can meet like for like reciprocate, this person makes one threat the other person makes another threat. The other person shouts and screams, this person shouts and screams.

01:17:05--> 01:17:07

And things can escalate between

01:17:09--> 01:17:09

or

01:17:11--> 01:17:12

the other person

01:17:14--> 01:17:16

puts up one's hands.

01:17:18--> 01:17:23

Even when animals fight animals, for one animal submits

01:17:24--> 01:17:26

and show submission.

01:17:29--> 01:17:37

It's rare that the other animal will kill it, of the same species. Unless is hunting for prey. It's different but

01:17:38--> 01:17:42

animals are the same species. If one submits, it's all about authority.

01:17:43--> 01:17:49

So if the animal if the other animal submits in most species, the aggressor

01:17:51--> 01:17:51

in fact,

01:17:53--> 01:18:01

whoever was the aggressor, in the fight for supremacy when one animal submits and accepts the

01:18:03--> 01:18:10

authority of the other animal over itself, that's all the other animal is seeking. He often leaves in walks away

01:18:11--> 01:18:12

because it's accepted.

01:18:14--> 01:18:15

So,

01:18:16--> 01:18:17

if a person

01:18:18--> 01:18:28

puts up one's hands not metaphorically speaking, if a person puts up one's hands and genuinely insincere, and it shows says sorry

01:18:30--> 01:18:32

right this person has said sorry now

01:18:36--> 01:18:41

all the threats the other person is making Amin

01:18:45--> 01:18:46

all the anger

01:18:48--> 01:18:49

is meaningless.

01:18:50--> 01:18:53

And if the person is normal, normal

01:18:55--> 01:18:56

see, sorry

01:19:00--> 01:19:02

disarms the other person.

01:19:04--> 01:19:11

It totally disarms. It flows them they have no argument left they have no project left. They have no proof left

01:19:17--> 01:19:23

Imam Shafi Rohit Allah here they used to say, man he stole the film yellow blood for what a man

01:19:24--> 01:19:27

woman dystrophy for them yeah for the whole shape long.

01:19:29--> 01:19:30

The whoever is provoked

01:19:33--> 01:19:36

into anger but doesn't become angry. He's a dunk.

01:19:37--> 01:19:39

Anger is part of human nature.

01:19:44--> 01:19:51

So no one can say I don't get angry. Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam used to get angry. There's anger in every one of us.

01:19:53--> 01:19:55

Who doesn't get angry everyone gets

01:19:56--> 01:19:59

it's different if a person doesn't exhibit that anger and that's dangerous because of

01:20:00--> 01:20:03

Lesson is raging within it's suppressed anger is repressed.

01:20:05--> 01:20:12

It's internalized, the anger is internalized, and it hurts and harms oneself. We all become angry.

01:20:15--> 01:20:30

So Imam Shafi Rahmatullah healer he said when it's too late for them yet Doctor Who are Hema, whoever is provoked into anger and doesn't become angry, then he's a dunk. But then he also added an historic fee for them. Yeah, for the whole sheet long, and whoever

01:20:32--> 01:20:38

forgiveness is sought from them, but they don't forgive, then that person is a devil.

01:20:40--> 01:20:49

So the lesson is, if someone angers you repeatedly, it doesn't mean every single time. But if you are provoked into anger and then you become angry, that's human nature.

01:20:51--> 01:20:53

Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam describe for people.

01:20:55--> 01:20:56

Those who are

01:20:57--> 01:21:05

the best, who are they, those who are very slow to anger, but they do become angry.

01:21:07--> 01:21:14

But quick, in their anger subsiding, so they the last to become angry, and the first to lose that. And

01:21:17--> 01:21:20

then there are those who are the worst,

01:21:21--> 01:21:23

who are quick to become angry

01:21:24--> 01:21:28

and very late and allowing their anger to subside.

01:21:29--> 01:21:42

And then the other two groups in between those who are either that are late to become angry, and late in the learning that angered subside, or quick in becoming angry and quick in allowing their anger to fall away.

01:21:44--> 01:21:49

But the best is one who is late to become angry, and quick to forget and forgive.

01:21:51--> 01:21:56

And the worst is someone who is quick to become angry, and late to forgive and forget.

01:21:59--> 01:21:59

So

01:22:01--> 01:22:10

if someone is provoked into anger, and they become angry, and then the other person says, Sorry, and seeks their forgiveness.

01:22:11--> 01:22:31

So Imam Shafi says, Yeah, this person's a human is not a donkey. So he became angry when he was provoked. But then when the other person said, Sorry, and sought their forgiveness, then the character of the believers such that when someone says sorry to them, and when someone seeks their forgiveness, they forgive and forget and let things go.

01:22:32--> 01:22:33

You let things go.

01:22:39--> 01:22:53

And that's if the other person is not. So when the other person is normal, saying sorry, diffuses so much. It diffuses a situation you actually disarms the other person, they have no argument left, they have nothing against you.

01:22:54--> 01:22:58

They've got nothing, they've got no weapon against you. You've disarmed them.

01:22:59--> 01:23:03

Now, if they do anything, they will be pure aggressors.

01:23:04--> 01:23:12

They are totally in the wrong totally. And their behavior is unjustified as long as the apology is sincere.

01:23:14--> 01:23:17

But I'm gonna fit and this is what we were discussing, and we'll naff it

01:23:19--> 01:23:35

doesn't apologize. And when asked why would the mafic apologize and less than apologies for the future? Then we'll now flip apologizes only for the future. The Mona Phil never apologizes for the past because there's no acknowledgement. I never did anything. Well.

01:23:37--> 01:23:39

I'm sorry, if you were hurt.

01:23:41--> 01:24:13

I'm sorry, if you were offended. That's like saying, I never said anything wrong. And there's nothing offensive in what I said. If you are very insecure and weak, and you became offended. Well, I'm sorry to hear about that. But not my fault. Your fault. You weak, you were offended. You shouldn't be so thin skinned. You shouldn't be so sensitive. Look, people are sensitive or insensitive, simple, or soft. allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was sensitive, innocent, good, soft, people are always sensed.

01:24:16--> 01:24:23

And anyone who says, Well, you shouldn't be so sensitive, only an insensitive person says that.

01:24:25--> 01:24:25

So

01:24:27--> 01:24:36

one of the traits of hypocrisy is refusal to acknowledge one's mistakes, refusal to accept responsibility for one's behavior.

01:24:39--> 01:24:44

And in fact, the person actually believes that what they are doing is good.

01:24:46--> 01:25:00

So they still think they aren't. And in sha Allah, I'll continue, because there's a lot more to say on this. And I'll elaborate on this in the next verse, which will be a continuation of these verses. I'll quickly recap with the two

01:25:00--> 01:25:26

translation of what we've covered so far. Last time with Allah says, Woman, a nurse, I mean all Armand Nabila who will be known as hit or mountain, in your car the rain Allah will Lena almond will may if they only learn for some amazing room for you to be muddled in LA, LA, we're looking at in America and weekly boom, what you need at home now to sudo fill out auto in the man atmosphere in Sedona, welcome to your showroom.

01:25:27--> 01:25:33

And amongst the people that are those who say we have believed in Allah and in the final day, but they are not believers.

01:25:36--> 01:25:48

They attempt to deceive Allah and the believers. And yet they do not deceive anyone but themselves and they don't even realize in their hearts is a sickness. So a lot increase them in their sickness.

01:25:50--> 01:25:59

And for them is a painful punishment because of their lie. And when it is said to them, Do not create mischief on Earth.

01:26:01--> 01:26:04

They say we are but reforms

01:26:06--> 01:26:11

low they are the current US

01:26:13--> 01:26:47

but they do not realize. Now as I said these two final verses, we still haven't haven't completed explaining them. So they may not be as clear as the previous verses but I will continue in sha Allah. In the next status. May Allah screamer who was the Allah makers amongst the truly innocent, balanced, believing, trusting, pious believers. May Allah subhanahu Allah protect us from lying, from hypocrisy, from deception, from arrogance, from delusion,

01:26:49--> 01:27:10

all of which are traits of Nefer of hypocrisy. And the traits of the monarch fit on the hypocrites and not the traits of the Mothman the beliefs or some of the LA syndrome and he will soon be enamored with the new saggy Adrain Ceramica Allahu maganda Krishna Allah in a Illa and stuck for a while to wait
