Well, I think of a model community, I think of the Valley Ranch Islamic center. You know, oftentimes in the past, we have people who may have seen that their needs were not met in particular communities. But hamdulillah Valley Ranch Islamic Center has risen to the occasion and tried to fulfill the idea of what it means to be prophetic Masjid Alhamdulillah, one of the most beautiful things is that every person is catered to, in the sense of being heard and listened. So you can actually read along the translation while reciting the verses and we're able to mix both both the Arabic and the English as you read. Yeah. Think about that. Somehow that would be that'll be interesting. If there's any advice you give to the people who took Ramadan for granted, took them
as it for granted took the her father and the chorus for granted. Well, we're still all the brothers and sisters who have been watching with us, they were hoping that they would be here but they will not. So what would you tell them?
I say really realize and kind of be grateful because this year you see how difficult it is and like how much you depend on the masjid normally for for Ramadan. The thing about the machine is we're encouraged by each other to do more a bad, I'll say that's the biggest blessing of the machine, you see other people doing it better, and you're encouraged to do it better yourself. But when you're by yourself at home, you have your distractions, your cell phones, your this your that, and you have kids and I don't have kids, but I'm a kid, but you know, it's harder to get in that zone. But when you come here for Ramadan, and the lights are off, and it's just you and your insula, and you have that connection with Allah subhana wa Tada, it's just different hits.
Especially here for you guys, when you were in the room over here, tell me what's your reflection on this, I mean, you'll be reciting to an empty room, having the, you know, the laptop run in front of you, you just reciting not knowing and just to let you know, not knowing that there are 1000s of people on the other end of watching and listening to you only staring at the iPad, and just following with your citation not knowing about all these 1000s many, many more people than the people would attend over here in the organizer. So what's the reflection of this? Have you thought about that? I haven't thought about a month but from what I did get from it. And this is from a
personal heartfelt experience. When I'm reading in there, it feels as if I'm reading by myself Now regardless of the lights it feels like nobody's in this room with me.
nobody's in the masjid with me, because brother Omar, he'll be in his room humble falsity will be gone. So it's just me in that room. I have done it. from home. I can pray I can stay up for tahajjud I can stay all night up night as before rabada I can fast I can even I can connect with people online. I don't have to have that physical connection with the people to feel spiritual. spiritually strong. Net is a great lesson to all of us because a lot of people are people. After the month of Ramadan, they have what we call Ramadan dip, you know 100 You're very excited, your demand is high. Your experience mashallah with the Quran is at the highest level. It's amazing, it's beautiful. But then what happens? We feel that Ramadan
Ramadan dip basically is where you start feeling that that's it. It's coming to an end and all of a sudden, I'm gonna go back to my old habits my old self, don't you ever think like that? Because of hamdulillah but I mean, I think this experience being so in such an in quarantine, it's a blessing in disguise. Yes, we had to do social distancing. But at the same time, we start connecting with Allah subhanho wa Taala and I heard a lot actually from many brothers and sisters who private nitec actually messaged me, who are living on their own their own apartments, hon Allah. And for many, some people they felt it was actually a very overwhelming experience negatively because they always
connected with people and others. They thought this was such a very positive experience for them. It teaches them Subhanallah there's a big difference. Big difference between being alone and feeling lonely. Because there are a lot of people might have the full house there. They have their parents, they have their their spouse, their children, but they're still feeling lonely because they're not connecting. And they're paid it people who don't have anybody around them but it's still hamdulillah feeling connected with Allah subhanho wa Taala and obviously, if you have Allah azza wa jal with you and on your side, near in any urine, anybody after that, so Hamdulillah this experience of this gave
us this, this understanding that I don't have to feel spirit I don't have to have the full Masjid in order to feel spiritual. I can be
ritual insha Allah Tala in my own house, I can be spiritual with my own family I can be spiritual on my own just hold the most up on the Quran and just have a My prayer rug at night I can be spiritual then this time of hamdulillah Brahmin what an amazing experience and I hope you guys have enjoyed this experience inshallah terracotta Island. What did we learn from this experience be in quarantine and having our Ramadan virtually Subhanallah we learn that Al Hamdulillah Bananaman are when Allah azza wa jal when ALLAH SubhanA wa Taala closes a door out of his wisdom, he opens another hour of mercy. would never have access to them, I would never have access to them without that so that was just for a reminder for me Subhanallah is just a blessing in disguise. We thought that that was it. That's the end of it. But Allah subhana opened lot of doors and hamdulillah has been delighted by Kota Allah we hope for more doors to be opened for us. We are Bananaman mother brothers and sisters. As you can see there is so many hierarchies can come out of this what else they will learn from this experience. I learned from this experience Subhanallah spending a lot of time on my family someone like myself I travel a lot so to spend all the the past couple of months you know staying at home
with the family and Subhanallah there is a lot you can learn from being with your family on regular basis especially the kids right now grown up mashallah there's a lot to learn. And just the fact that the humbler we were able to break our fast together every single night at home hamdulillah around the same table around the same the same family together and then reminding each other was Salawat time and getting together to pray Gemma as much as we can handle Allah and also helping and assisting each other. All of that what a beautiful, beautiful family experience that you have 100 out of blind I mean, as a result of this, this experience there is so much you will learn one last
thing for me at least that I learned really, when it comes to this experience I just learned that I really really miss this message it and I missed are lots of people and I mean a lot of people in this community mashallah you know, when you come to them as your regular you see them on regular basis and you say salaam to them, and you hug them and this and that. It just was so hard sometimes to meet some of them and are able to shake hands with them. Or see some of them not able really to give them a hug. You know, it just the feeling is not it's not easy, but it's a lesson learned. Alhamdulillah Bamiyan never ever take anyone's friendship, you know, for granted even the handshake
