Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan talks beautifully about how the Qur’an talks about the believers being pulled out of the darkness into the light on multiple occasions and the one occasion that he shares with us in this lecture is the Ayat of Ayatul Kursi.
Reciting the Qur’an and listening to the recitation of the Qur’an is not only an act of worship but also benefits our Emaan. Of course, it also fulfills the beautiful Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ.
‘Ayatul Kursi’ – This grand Aayah of the Qur’an, “Saidatul Ayat Al Qur’an”, the chief Ayah of Qur’an is where Allah describes some of His most fundamental qualities and how Incredible and Awesome He is, how Magnificent He is. That there is no one worthy of worship, only He is, in any shape or form except He is. The Ayah is about darkness and light.
Hence, in our lifetime, we need to confess to Allah what our darknesses are such as laziness, not paying attention in Salah, having filthy habits that nobody knows about, anger, hiding secrets, cheated someone, lied against, etc. we have to admit them to Allah and then ask to pull us out of that darkness. Those who disbelieved and are ungrateful are the same sources of rebellion, then that’s the only protection they get from those entities.
Allah brings them out of the light into various shades of darkness. How so? Listen intently to find out.

For
me,
Allah.
Before, I'm talking about the believers who pulled out of darknesses multiple shades of darkness into light
on multiple occasions, and the one occasion that I want to talk to you a little bit about in this session is the one I decided to. I chose to recite the passage in the beginning because I believe that reciting the Quran and listening to the recitation of the Quran, not only is not an act of worship, but it actually is a it has an effect on all human listening to the rest of the show on the one side, and the one listening also effects and benefits. And if we're going to benefit from something from the understanding of these ions, you should also benefit from the bottle COVID certification.

what you know what our hearts and our minds are two different things, the heart needs to be reminded of light, it wasn't shaken by it, we don't feel the love, sometimes the
reminders of Sophie and the lightness of us attributes are hard to teach us, they're actually going to take us up unless
their heart should be full of fear from the remembrance of Allah.

And we shouldn't be associating partners with a month

There are so many people that are more qualified than I am that are more intelligent than I am that are better than I am. That alone will not give opportunity to and there are so many more that are much less qualified than I am. Way more opportunities than me because he's the source.
Then you realize that your life isn't actually yours.
It's not yours. It's a gift given by Allah. Which means you can be taken at any moment because he's alive.
He is literally living
that life.

he keeps saying he owns everything the size of the Earth. He owns everything in the size of the Earth. He says he owns everything the size of the Earth or whatever. The size of the Earth exclusively. He is the only owner of the size of the Earth.
He only buy your house and your name is on the title.
It says older and it says your name. When you pay off your, let's say, Islamic mortgage.
And you finally get the deed. And it says owner of the property in your name. That's right on top of that is some LSU.

remember that, who thinks when they go into their car, this is not my car,
who thinks when they go into their closet and putting their clothes on behind my clothes, is given to me who looks at a hand.
And this is this is my hair

He owns everything in the size of the Earth, thinking about that routine that we live.
And when you realize he owes everything, he's in complete charge of everything, then where are you going to go, you know, we go to something, you go to the judge because he owns authority.
You go to the store, because they own merchandise, you
own some expertise, you go to different sources, because they own something unique. That's the world, we depend on each other because each of us
will become very clear who owns everything.
In this world, every one of us.
Either something's I need for my family, there's something my family needs. For me. There's something I need for my work, something might work. For me, there's something that needs government and my government need something from me this is a world of paper to
be clear about the nice.

So we only have clothes on when we have no friends. Anybody has disappeared. Nobody. Nobody is the greatest symbol of humanity ever. And yet you feel the loneliness you have ever felt in your entire life. At the same time,
you still need someone
to speak on your behalf.

on the one hand, he knows everything in front and behind you
know about ourselves and on the other hand, we

And there is no
there's no job description lower than in the world. Sleep is the lowest you can go You can't go more than

human being know that Guardian, something comes with the Boston

It's exhausting to have to
go to see
us. A lot of the jobs get exhausted during the entire universe in all of existence.
Is the ultimately high.
Now
this
then tells us
there's no no need. And there's absolutely no room to force anybody in any way shape or form into the religion. There's no coercion.
Why does he say that? You don't have to tell people to come?

You hear parents are yelling at their children? A lot.
A lot. Yeah, Mom, I know, I know. I know. I
know, you you think oh my god, it's so annoying.
Mom comes back and tells me the nice laws and

because you don't care

your parents might

people who want to
image whoever will deny forces of rebellion.
There are forces of rebellion that wants you to believe in them. There is rebellious urges inside of you that want you to believe that your temptations will lead you to happiness, that that's what you should believe in. There are forces inside of you the things that make you think your greed is good for you. Your prime is good for you.
Good for you.
Whoever fights the forces of rebellion inside and outside, outside
is like the leaders of
the idols inside.
forces inside whoever can deny them successfully.
You can't leave it alone if you haven't conquered the forces of rebellion until you put the rebellion down.
The sewer began talking about a father who knew about Allah who believes in Allah to worship a lot. What is internal rebellion?

to Allah

Holding on to something that doesn't disappoint.
And then comes the next time the darkness and light
now
ocean in the
darkness upon darkness. The imagery is all connected and talks about
the ocean. So deep
dark clouds there's this dark dark dark dark place
and it's a cloudy night so even the moonlight can't get through the stars. Because you would imagine a nighttime in the ocean you might think the moon is reflecting right on the water you imagine that sea but what keeps shining through
the clouds.
The clouds are there. Big one whatever my
absolute pitch dark in the ocean. Holding on to this anchor if you can.
A lot is a protective friend of those who believe I want you to imagine
the imagery here. The imagery a lot.
You just fell off the ship. You have a friend on board the ship.
Different kinds of friends
miss you.
He wants to protect you.
He wants to protect you will tell you Hey, hold on the anchor and I don't want
that kind of a friend that wants to protect you is actually
protecting one
time that's actually a
friend that acts like they're your buddy until you need them and they disappear.
When they disappear.
You know
the kind of friend who's always hanging out with you
is always there. He talks to you a lot
on
the go all the way to the bottom of the angels coming from the other side and
I got nothing to do with this.
You guys on your own.
I missed you as far as I can.
You know,
a lot of calls themselves
along with
a lot of the protective friends of those who have come to the faith. This is a very heavy Ayah because Allah did not say for
a long time
The difference in the Arabic language between C and C
is the difference was verbal in nature
represents permanence.
People who have already attained success
even criticize,
criticize,
criticize,
but it hasn't become concrete here.
He is offering his protective friendship to the person who has
the strongest bordering on doesn't matter if he or she says
allies offering his protective help if you want
to become your woody doesn't matter what state of mind you are.
Doesn't matter what level you're at
to the highest level
all
our various shades of darkness,
darkness into the light.
Darkness
doesn't mean you have to have some darkness.
Darkness, multiple shades of darkness,
the darkness of envy,
anger,
of narcissism and self obsession
of cheating and lying and stealing
would it
be willing to pull you out to light
to the light?
You notice before Allah started talking that he owns everything. He owns everything that he talks about he guards everything.
He wants to protect you especially
he's protecting the entire universe even protecting the ocean he was routing. He was protecting the anchor you're holding, but he's offering you special protection
and he continues to change is not a one time fee. I love it. I can feel
closer to 11 I've ever felt before but it's done now. No, it's not. It's up to
you keep going back to a lot of
beautiful things I heard when I was
at college.
Before you make me who you are
what they are nobody else. You know what they are you have.
You have goofy habits that nobody knows about.
You're hiding secrets. You
know what they are, you have to
pull them out of that pull you out of that dark place.
And
then they're protected friends, just the same forces of
production.
So those entities,
he brings them
into various shades of darkness.
disbelievers in life, because it says
from light into darkness.
Darkness.
All human beings start off with light.
We all sort of we don't we're not born into sin.
This is the mind. that teaches us that human beings are born in the mind. They have the potential. When they don't exercise that muscle, then it goes into darkness. One of the most wise anecdotes and examples to help me understand is that one of my teachers, for
example, he says, You don't exercise a muscle and get stronger.
muscles get weaker. And you know, if somebody's lying in bed, they're lying in bed for six months, six months, 10 months, if you don't get up. After 10 months,
they lose.
The ability to except guidance is a muscle.
If you exercise that muscle and get stronger, if you don't exercise that muscle reminder comes to you advice when opportunity comes to you.
And you ignore it and you ignore it.
Until that muscle dies, doesn't matter if it's
the greatest of all teachers and speakers speak
for ourselves, because your muscle is dead.
Because you didn't exercise it when we're still alive.
Still alive.
The rebellious forces the rebellious urges inside of us pull people people out of life that
endow them with in with their birth, and puts them back into shades of darkness, who
knows are going to be the people of fire. Those are the people of fire the companions of fire, which still remain the last nuance I'll share with you. It's difficult to hear because it has to do with the Arabic language, I'm going to try my best
to understand the challenge.
And that is like you know, there are two comparisons. There's a comparison in this ayah. And it's higher this comparison between two relationships. believers have a relationship with a law, and the disbelievers have a relationship with the entities of rebellion.
Right believers have a relationship with a law and disbelievers with what is inherently called.
Extremely rebellious, which is inside and outside as I mentioned, and the name of both relationships is the same a lot to us is
the name of
the relationship between
it's the same relationship, so
I can build it slowly. Two relationships are being completed. Now. Let me hear from you. What's the first relationship between

to have the conversation without explaining a word of the key word
itself. And everybody understands that.
We can get there as the people. In my previous session when I talked about setting goals for yourself, I mean, set goals for yourself. Don't just say, Oh, I can't believe I'm never gonna get
it one thing at a time.
What's in front of you pay attention. Don't lose sight of it. Don't
hold it up, like hold it, like this and memorize and then compare it to the rest of the pages that are left and say, oh my god.
Don't do that
perspective of darkness to light. There's a lot more that can be said about this beautiful passage, but
