Khatira – Let Go of the PAST

Bismillah Alhamdulillah wa Salatu was Salam ala Rasulillah Muhammad wa ala alihi wa sahbihi Jemaine, you also have a, one of the things I've been talking about a lot lately is how to improve the quality of life. And you know, subhanAllah a lot of times we see these kinds of things, and we feel like that there is no resemblance. And there's nothing that the Quran has mentioned, or the Sunnah has mentioned about how to improve our life, you know, subhanAllah one thing that I have noticed in just talking to a lot of people is that, you know, when a person has been living a certain way of life, and then they wake up and they smell the coffee, and then they want to turn their life around,

they want to become more religious, or perhaps something has happened in the past, and they are so regretful over it. One of the most difficult things that I've seen for people to do is to let go of their past to move on from their past. So many times I've sat down with people, and they're just not willing to let go of the past and they just keep on harping on the past and they keep on criticizing themselves about what has happened. How many days do I have left from Allah subhanho wa Taala to change my life or I've changed my life, how many days more do I have to make the best of the akhirah I've done this. I've done that. So today I want to talk about that. This is a serious problem that

many of us are going through, but Subhanallah see this is the beautiful thing about our deen the Quran has mentioned certain things, the Sunnah has mentioned certain things that we can most certainly do. Insha Allah, the very first thing is that we have to always understand that whatever has happened, it is from Allah subhanho wa Taala The Prophet said Allah who it was some he tells us in a hadith, that whenever you are regretful or something of something that has happened in the past, and you cannot let go than to simply say that Allahu Masha AFON This is from the color of Allah subhanho wa Taala and you know, Subhan Allah, once you and I we put our Tawakkol in Allah

In that situation. Allah gave us the understanding first, that do not make the same mistake. But when we keep on doing the same thing, it's not the problem of Allah subhanho wa Taala

is not Allah. So Allah says, Allah do not, it's not that the problem is on Allah subhanho wa taala. The problem is us. Allah gave us the understanding, yet we keep on doing making the same mistake. The third thing that we must do is that always and always ask ALLAH SubhanA wa Taala for whatever is about to come in the future to put Baraka in that how many times people they turn their life around at a very later age in their life, probably around 30 years, 40 years, and they're regretful over the past 40 years, how they have spent their Islamic life and now they want to turn their life around. That's fine, we understand that. But then we ask and I always say that please. And the

Prophet Allah has always taught us always make dua of baraka for what is about to come. The next 30 years you can do more than what you lost not 40 years, that 30 years that 10 years you can do so much to make up for all the last think about Imam no myth Allahu Allah. Now, if you keep on looking in that reflection mirror, and you're keeping looking, you keep on looking at what's behind you what's on the side, and you don't reflect and you don't pay attention to what's ahead of you, you will get into a collision. And this is why when we talk about life, when we talk about moving forward in life, the future is more important than what

has happened in the past. Because when you reflect on what's you forward, and when you're driving your car, you will stay safe. But if you keep on looking in the past, and you keep on paying attention to what's behind you, you're going to get into a crash. Likewise, if you keep on hindering and you keep on hindering yourself, you keep on chastising yourself, you keep on criticizing yourself about the past and the past, in the past, you have already the past of the past. As I say in English, you can cry over spilled milk, it is what it is. But not only can you not only are you not going to be able to change the past, but you're going to lose the future also. all have different stories in our life. We all have different journeys of our life. Let's focus on what is coming forward. We reflect and we learn from the mistakes that we have done perhaps in the past. We learn from them and we move forward. This is what we learn from the Quran.
