When Kings Fear Boys

The purest of all stories and the most powerful are those that are related to us the stories and the historical accounts that are related to us by our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam they are not like other stories, which we hear at every turn, that are worthless, perhaps or dangerous, that can distort our sense of reality at times, many times, or can distort our sense of morality, our values, our principles.

Rather what the prophets Allah Allahu Allah, He will say Sallam shared with us in the Quran, and shared with us of the Sunnah that was revealed to him. This is what distances us even sometimes subconsciously from every harm in our life, and interests us and turns our attention to every benefit, sometimes subconsciously, once again. In fact, these stories did that. Even for the prophets of God. Allah azza wa jal says, we're cool and also la Kameen. Illusory man without b2b For ADEQ. And all of these stories that we convey, we reveal to you oh Muhammad, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, of the stories of the previous messengers the previous nations, are the stories by which we

set your full AD firm. And the word for ad very interestingly, refers to the heart. But throughout the Quran, the word for ad is also used to refer to the intellect. So to set your intellect, right, proper perspective and to to set your heart right.

A huge component in that is where you get your stories from.

The stories of our Prophet salAllahu alayhi wasallam with he shared our sacred stories,

that we must always rehearse with ourselves and our loved ones, and our community members and our children. Of course,

I was recollecting this morning, is the story of another child that was feared by a king, considering we were reflecting in the previous days, the earliest days of Muharram, of young Musa alayhis salam, and for our own being haunted by a youngster coming up to be his demise.

The prophets Allah Allahu alayhi wa sallam said in an authentic hadith in Sahih Muslim, let me attack Cal landfill Maddie left Aletheia that none spoke up in the cradle, except for three individuals. And it is possible that later on Allah revealed to him later accounts other accounts, but at that time, he was telling them of these remarkable incidents. I wish to walk through just one of them today.

You know, an infant speaking in the cradle, which is actually the culmination the end of the story

being found in the Sunnah at times, people whose perspective is compromised is corrupted by radical doubt, radical skepticism may cause them some unease like babies don't speak in the cradle.

And this starts us off with a very important fundamental lesson. That if you will, try to measure divine sacred knowledge of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam with your intellect, not realizing the limitations and sometimes the corruption of your intellect, you will not just have a problem with the Hadith, you will have a problem with the Quran. This is a very important rule. Many times people read a hadith because their Hadith are so much wider than the Quran. And there are some times they're not as established with the Quran. The Quran is generation upon generation authentically brought to us the Hadith sometimes it's an individual or to though reliable, that

delivers it to us.

But realize that if it's just based on your taste, I don't think that's possible. If you treat the Hadith this way, you will find your you have the same issue with the Quran itself. Because the baby speaking in the cradle,

actually isn't sort of mme, isn't it? That Jesus peace be upon him and he Salah he said I'm spoken the credo.

And so it has been authentically established that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, None have spoken in the cradle but three, and one of them he says there used to be in the previous nations, a king that had a sorcerer.

And the sorcerer was growing old. And so he said fine for me and apprentice, someone that I can mentor and under under my tutelage, I will tutor them to be my heir, my successor to serve you.

And this by the way is of the signs of an evil king and

evil ruler, that he has a sorcerer. And that is a very beautiful lesson as well, you see that the Stories of the Prophets, Allah Allahu Allah is are not just beautiful because they're accurate and true historically. It's also because every last detail is beneficial. And all the unimportant details that we read in history or watching movies or otherwise are removed, they're filtered. We're not necessarily told the names, the settings, the geographical locations, the date, irrelevant.

But the fact that he said there was a king and the king had a sorcerer, this is very relevant. Because kings and rulers when they are corrupt, and they want control of the masses, they distract them with things like poverty, like fear, the dark art of magic black magic, is how you distract the masses and keep them in check. And likewise, the sorcery takes many forms of the evidence of our age is the prevalence of entertainment and music in particular, which is of the intoxicants and of the sorcery of our time in place. So keep that in mind. It's how people are kept distracted, and their fitrah. Their pure natures are kept buried, because people love truth. And people love justice. And

people love freedom. And so if they're distracted by their fears, or distracted by entertainment, they can let those who don't care about truth and don't care about justice, and don't care about freedom, manipulate and do as they please. So this king had that apparatus, a sorcerer in place, a Ministry of Magic. And he,

his employee said, grab me a young man, someone I can train,

hoping for the reward of the king, of course. And so they found this young, poor man, a young lad, a young boy, and this young boy would go and learn the skill of this black magic from the King.

And then Allah put on his way, one of them will hit in one of those who worship Allah alone, without any partners often hiding.

And so he would visit both. And it is an extensive account of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam guided us to and blessed us with, but realize that Allah put on his path someone to help him compare right from wrong for him to make his own decision to consult his own conscience.

And so, one day, he said to himself, I have to end this inner conflict.

And the people on the road were stuck, a huge beast came out whether it was a lion, or a tiger or a bear, whatever it may have been a huge wild animal came out, and the people were all horrified. And the young boy said, Today, I will know whether Allah loves this path, the power of the sorcerer, or this path, the power of servitude, the power of submission, the power of devotion to Allah, which one he loves more.

And he said, Oh Allah, if you will love the monks way more than the sorcerer's way, kill this animal. And he pelted him with a rock and the animal actually was hitting a fatal place and he died. And so he realized that this was the right path, and he chose that path for himself.

And the monk told him, and this was so beautiful also, today, you have become more righteous than me superior than me. You've become superior to me know that you will be tested. And when you are tested, do not tell them about me. He was not afraid to die, as we will see later on in the incident, but he did not want the religion to die.

And he was one of the few remaining teachers left that he knew about, if not the only one, to teach the religion of Allah subhanho wa taala.

And so the young man went on, having been blessed to encounter this monk and people began to say, You're a righteous person make dua for us, when you made dua, that Allah kill the beast, he killed the beast, make dua for Allah to cure us on this disease and that disease, and each time he will tell them, I don't cure Allah cures, believe in him, I will pray for you, you will be cured. until ultimately word spread and some of those who work for the king requested his services, can you help me get my vision back?

And so he said to him, I will make prayer for you in the name of Allah subhanho wa Taala in the name of my Lord.

And so news of this reached the king and he was appalled. Because the greatest liberator of humanity is for them to worship the one true God, be answerable to the one and only Subhana who was to Allah. And so he grabbed the young man and he tried to persecute him for his religion, and he tortured him time and time again until he spilled the news of the

monk that taught him that monk was brought in, he was killed. And then the young boy refused to recant to step away from the religion from Islam. And so he tried to kill him time and time again. And each time he would say Allahu mfine him be my *. Oh, Allah saved me from these oppressive people, however you wish, be enough for me, Oh Allah, however you wish, he would delegate his affairs to Allah. And time and time again, the tables would get turned, and with a miraculous event, Allah who would save him, and he would come walking back into the court of the king.

Until he finally said

to the king, stop trying, if you want to kill me, follow my instructions, gather all of the people

to a wide place, and tie me to this tree and shoot an arrow at me in the name of my God, not in your name, but in the name of the God I believe in Allah subhanho wa taala.

And so he gathered all of the people of that nation, and he tied him there and he said, Bismillah in the name of Allah or Buddha, coulomb, Rob bill, William, the Lord of the boy.

And he shoots the arrow and the arrow lands. And he plates his hand on it and his face, his head falls, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam said, This man driven by his hatred of that religion, the pure religion, Islam, did not realize that he was feeding into the plant of the boy. And the very reason why he wanted to kill him, which is to put an end to his religion, is exactly what happened by killing him. All of the people saw that the king failed at killing this boy, except in the name of the Lord of the boy.

And so all of them became Muslim.

And so the king relentless decided to execute them all. It was a massive genocide, he built this huge bonfire, and one after another, they were told leave their religion.

And when they would refuse to leave their religion, they will be thrown alive into the fire until one woman stepped up.

And she hesitated because she was carrying her infant in her arms.

So her motherly concern naturally expectedly caused her to stutter. And so Allah kept her firm by inspiring her child in her arm, a suckling infant to say, oh my lord, oh, my mother stepped forward, you are on the truth. And so Allah bolstered her with that miracle and they entered as well. And these were the people of the trench that Allah azza wa jal mentioned in the Quran. pootie Laos, Habu Doot doot are the people that built those trenches and filled them with fire and natty that to afford when they killed when they kindled that fire. It whom Allah corrode as they were sitting all around it, while whom Allah may have Aluna will put me in a shoe hood, and they saw and they were

watching heartlessly, they were watching themselves, as all of these people were being thrown inside women, a common woman whom Ill and Umino biller Hill, Aziz al Hamid, and they held nothing against these believers, except the fact that they believed in Allah, the mighty, all of this persecution that happened was not outside of Allah's control, but filled and infused inside and out with Allah's might and His wisdom, and as he is it Hamid praiseworthy and all that he does Subhanahu wa Taala

If you were to sit alone and take in this account, it would not be difficult for you believe me. And that is more important than the lessons that I highlight in this book, it would not be difficult for you to extract 20 3040 lessons for your life from it.

But considering I've concluded the story, was this a success story or not?

I'm talking about a boy

who stood in front of a king. But then the King killed him.

Who said that was not a success story.

That is part of the byproduct of faulty storytelling.

Who is to say that happy endings are only

The here in this world that is the Disney narrative that is not the Quran and Sunnah narrative.

You know when the companions of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam were betrayed at bitter Morona a tribe had said we are Muslim send us some experts to teach us Quran. And so the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam sent some of his best reciters the greatest experts on Quran midway.

They betrayed them at the IRA well known as a mountain Hoonah. They came from behind them and plunge Spears behind them. Haram Mohan Radi Allahu Anhu when he realized what happened after of course, the shock, Allah had him guided him to say after he took some of the blood that I just burst it out. He put it on his face and he said foods to herbal kava, I have succeeded by the Lord of the GABA, I have succeeded.

Don't you read another story the story of use of Alayhis Salam in the Quran. Even after the reunion use of La salaam still said Oh Allah, you've been so good to me, allow me to die on Muslim. He understood that the ending is not an ending until you are with Allah subhanho wa taala. Because every sad event, every sad ending in this world will end. The ending has come to an end. And so every happy ending in this world will also expire. Your worst day in this world will not last for a few days. And your best day in this world that feeling that emotion will not last more than a few days. Whereas the true ending and what truly matters is with What is Allah subhanahu wa taala holds

in store for you. May Allah grant us a new the best reunion around our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam in the best of abodes where the happiness never diminishes, and the security never expires Allahumma Amin

and also look at the story of this boy, isn't it every Muslim story in all times and places you know people want an easy religion? Do you really want an easy religion? We've covered in so many What was that the grind without religion? The you know the devastation without the religion is so much greater. But let us assume that there is some difficulty there is some challenge in committing to Allah subhanho wa Taala compared to the happy ending that awaits the believers, is that really a sacrifice? That is why it is so true what Allah said to us that it is a teacher, it's a transaction, a very generous transaction. We call it sacrifice at times, but it's not sacrifice, you're not

really giving up anything. And then you are told through the stories. The wise people who understood this name for me, one of the prophets that had a Muslim majority population. They were not a persecuted minority. They are very few

they would add a Salam should a man Allah He said they were empowered. That's it. The end of the end of Eunice la salaams life who else the last moments of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is life who else?

It was always like that. The Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam when he received the message what I said to him, nobody ever came with that message. Illa Rudy except that he was turned into an enemy, he was opposed.

And realize also from this story, that it was not just Musa alayhis salam was feared by the king Pharaoh.

Any boy any lad any individual, young or old, whoever they may be. Man or woman filled with faith causes unjust kings to fear them. And that is why the greatest gift you can do to your children do for your children and grants them and the greatest service you can leave in this world for humanity is to fill your heart with faith.
