Allah subhanho wa Taala has made for your homes,

as a place to rest in. And so our homes that we live in, are meant to be a place of comfort, a place

to rest in a place to relax in to get away

from the hassle and the hardships of our worldly lives, to be with our loved ones, and cherish those moments with them.

And so if you were to reflect

over those who don't have homes to live in,

whether they are homeless, on the streets, or whether they be those living

in refugee camps, living in temporary homes, when you see that you realize this blessing of Allah subhanahu wa Tada the fact that he has given you a home to live in.

However, having said that,

although many of us may have a physical home to live in,

we do not find

what ALLAH SubhanA Hua to Allah mentions here in this area, which is the purpose of these homes. And that is second,

a place to rest in a place to find comfort in. And so although we may have a physical home to live in, we do not find comfort in that home. Instead, our homes

have become places of feuds, of battles, of hostility, of grudges,

and an overall toxic atmosphere

and so unfortunately

This has only increased over the years.

And the numbers are shocking.

The number of homes in which

you find this hostility,

where you find couples fighting each other husbands fighting with their wives, wives fighting with their husbands.

Parents fighting with their children, children fighting with their parents, siblings, brothers, against sisters, and against brothers and sisters against brothers and their sisters, leading to breakups of families. And so our homes which are meant to be a place in which we come together in a place to find comfort,

and peace,

they have turned into words or words, which is why

which is why many who are affected by this directly. They are victims of these fights and these feuds many of them.

They would rather spend

time away from home

on the streets,

rather than looking forward to going home.

And so my dear brothers and sisters, although there are many reasons for this,

where there is the potential breakup of a family

or divorce, whenever Allah subhanahu Attallah talks about Allah in the Quran, he always mentions a Taqwa.

So, we can mention the entire list of reasons for these feuds

and fights that exist at home.

However, there is one that I want to focus on.

There is one that I want to focus on.

That is one of the leading causes

and that is our external enemy,

our mutual enemy

who vow

on making sure

that relationships are poisoned

and broken and replace the unity and the mutual love

with enmity and hostility.

And that is our open enemy shaitan.

Allah subhanho wa Taala mentions this

about shaitan that this is one of his goals.

that whenever

we enter our homes, we should enter in the name of Allah subhanho wa taala.

So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says, in a hadith in Sahih Muslim, that if a person mentions the name of Allah, when entering his home shaytaan he turns to his buddies, His followers, and he says to them,

you have no place. You have no place to spend the night tonight.

And if we say this before we eat,

like why Shaitan says, You have no dinner tonight.

Then the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, however,

if you enter your home without mentioning the name of Allah,

and you start eating without mentioning the name of Allah, then shaitan he says, to his followers, he says to them, tonight you have a place to rest,

and you have food to eat. Number two.

When we enter our homes, we enter

by saying salam,

of living creatures.

And so the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam

one day

Gibreel alayhis salaam promised to meet him.

He made an appointment with the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and said I will come to you as such and such hour.

So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was looking forward to that meeting.

And so he waited.

And he waited.

And he waited. But you breed Alayhis Salam did not show up.

So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,

he had a stick in his hand, and he threw it.

He got angry.

And he said, The Allah and His messengers do not break their promise.

He had every right to be angry.

This is the best of messengers, the Messenger from among the angels. He made a prophet he made that promise to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and he didn't show up.

Then the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,

he noticed something under his bed.

When he went and he saw, he found a small puppy, a small dog under his bed.

that opposes the teachings of Islam,

anything that we have in our houses,

which earns us the Wrath of Allah, which makes Allah displeased with us. And so that includes books or magazines, which oppose Islam and the teachings of Islam. That includes anything haram, such as musical instruments, musical video, CDs, and so on and so forth. The list can go on and on. The point is to purify our houses, to make them places in which the angels will descend.

And not places

which will be dwelling dwellings and homes for the devils and the shayateen. We ask Allah subhanho wa Taala

to bring peace to our homes, and to distance shaitan and his followers from our homes.
