00:00:49 --> 00:00:51

In our last session,

00:00:52 --> 00:00:53

we spoke about

00:00:55 --> 00:00:58

how the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam

00:01:00 --> 00:01:03

started to publicly give Dawa.

00:01:11 --> 00:01:12

And so we looked at

00:01:14 --> 00:01:25

how the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam called on his closest relatives, his uncle's, his family members from Croatia. And we saw

00:01:26 --> 00:01:31

the initial reaction to that initial call and invitation.

00:01:35 --> 00:01:39

And so we saw the initial reaction of his uncle, Abu Lahab.

00:01:41 --> 00:01:42

And

00:01:44 --> 00:01:45

we then looked at

00:01:47 --> 00:01:49

how Quraysh realize the danger

00:01:51 --> 00:01:57

in the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam publicly giving dower

00:01:59 --> 00:02:05

and so they realize that if they did not stop him, that there will be trouble ahead.

00:02:06 --> 00:02:09

And more and more people would be accepting Islam.

00:02:11 --> 00:02:15

So we looked at how the very first step that they took

00:02:16 --> 00:02:21

in trying to stop the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was to build pressure on hoops

00:02:23 --> 00:02:24

to build pressure on

00:02:25 --> 00:02:27

his uncle Abu Talib.

00:02:28 --> 00:02:31

Because Abu Talib was his main support.

00:02:35 --> 00:02:35

And

00:02:37 --> 00:02:43

if it was not for him, they would have stopped the Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam immediately, directly.

00:02:46 --> 00:02:47

So we looked at how

00:02:49 --> 00:02:50

this first attempt

00:02:52 --> 00:02:54

at trying to stop the spread of Islam failed.

00:02:58 --> 00:03:04

And how I will call him after trying to speak to the Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam and

00:03:05 --> 00:03:09

you know, mentioning to them and mentioning to him that this is what

00:03:10 --> 00:03:12

they are telling me to do.

00:03:13 --> 00:03:15

The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, I'm going to continue.

00:03:17 --> 00:03:22

And so when Abu Talib saw his determination, he said, Okay, then I'm going to continue to support you.

00:03:30 --> 00:03:32

And so this is where it has started.

00:03:35 --> 00:03:36

But this is not where it ended.

00:03:38 --> 00:03:43

And so what we're going to do in sha Allah and to add it tonight, and in the coming weeks is we're going to look at

00:03:45 --> 00:03:49

the other methods, that Qureshi used

00:03:50 --> 00:03:54

in trying to stop the spread of Islam.

00:03:56 --> 00:03:59

But before we do that, it's important to

00:04:00 --> 00:04:01

understand

00:04:03 --> 00:04:04

what made Quraish

00:04:06 --> 00:04:08

to take the position that they did

00:04:11 --> 00:04:16

hear the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam came to them and said, I'm a messenger from Allah.

00:04:19 --> 00:04:22

Believing believe in me, and you will have genuine

00:04:24 --> 00:04:28

disbelieve in me. And a terrible punishment awaits you.

00:04:31 --> 00:04:35

And he brought to them the Quran, which was a miracle in and of itself.

00:04:37 --> 00:04:45

And he brought to them all the ayat Now why Subhanahu wa Taala gave to him, the proofs and the evidences.

00:04:47 --> 00:04:50

So instead of submitting and believing,

00:04:51 --> 00:04:59

why was it that they opposed and they rejected? And this is after many of them, if not all of them knew

00:05:00 --> 00:05:03

Deep down inside, that this is the truth from Allah.

00:05:04 --> 00:05:08

It's always important for us to understand why they took this position.

00:05:09 --> 00:05:12

Once we understand that, we'll understand why

00:05:13 --> 00:05:14

they went through

00:05:17 --> 00:05:20

everything they went through in opposing the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.

00:05:23 --> 00:05:23

And so

00:05:25 --> 00:05:27

there are two main reasons, there are many reasons for their cover

00:05:29 --> 00:05:30

and their denial.

00:05:32 --> 00:05:35

But if we were to think about it, it all goes back to two reasons.

00:05:37 --> 00:05:38

The first is

00:05:40 --> 00:05:41

that they realized

00:05:45 --> 00:05:49

that this, that accepting Islam means

00:05:50 --> 00:05:51

a huge sacrifice.

00:05:54 --> 00:06:06

It means a change in their lifestyle, a change in their complete way of life. And so it's a challenge to their way of life that they have become accustomed to

00:06:07 --> 00:06:10

their way of life is all that they've ever known.

00:06:13 --> 00:06:17

It was passed down to them, generation after generation.

00:06:19 --> 00:06:26

And so, the nature of us human beings is that when something new comes to us, it's difficult to accept it.

00:06:28 --> 00:06:33

Especially for people who live in a closed society, like the Arabs,

00:06:34 --> 00:06:38

where they did not mix with other civilizations and other people.

00:06:41 --> 00:06:44

Right, it was not like a multicultural society.

00:06:46 --> 00:06:55

Where you interact with other people, you share different values, you share different teachings, etc. No, they were a closed society.

00:06:57 --> 00:07:02

Very simple people, but they had a certain way of life. And here, all of a sudden,

00:07:04 --> 00:07:05

you're being asked to give it up

00:07:06 --> 00:07:09

and change their entire way of life,

00:07:10 --> 00:07:14

including the most important of it, which is their beliefs,

00:07:16 --> 00:07:18

in their idols, and their gods.

00:07:23 --> 00:07:23

So

00:07:25 --> 00:07:38

one of the accusations that they made against the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and this is not only with respect to Muhammad, sallallahu alayhi wasallam. But we find in the Quran, that the same accusation was made against other prophets as well.

00:07:40 --> 00:07:45

That he has come to change the ways of your forefathers.

00:07:46 --> 00:07:48

He has come to change your way of life.

00:07:49 --> 00:07:51

He has come to change your religion.

00:07:53 --> 00:07:57

And it's true. But it's something that they were not willing to give up.

00:08:02 --> 00:08:03

So we find even,

00:08:05 --> 00:08:12

even among the likes of Abu Talib, that it was this that caused him to not accept Islam.

00:08:14 --> 00:08:21

Even though he did everything else where the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he was not willing to give up his religion.

00:08:24 --> 00:08:26

It was this attachment that they had

00:08:27 --> 00:08:31

to the ways of their forefathers that they just couldn't give it up.

00:08:32 --> 00:08:33

That was their red light.

00:08:37 --> 00:08:39

So this is the first the second.

00:08:40 --> 00:08:44

The second is what we find among some

00:08:45 --> 00:08:49

of Koresh. And that was a power struggle.

00:08:51 --> 00:09:01

Many of the leaders of courage, oppose the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, simply because they thought that they had greater authority than him.

00:09:03 --> 00:09:09

And they felt that their authority is now being challenged.

00:09:12 --> 00:09:17

They thought we are the leaders, we're going to go on to become the leaders of our society.

00:09:19 --> 00:09:30

And here Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam has come and he has a following. And he is, you know, leading this, this this following. And so it became a challenge to their authority.

00:09:33 --> 00:09:44

So one example of this that shows how, even though they knew that it was the truth, that premise Allahu Allah was or was indeed the messenger from Allah, and what he brought from Allah was a truth.

00:09:46 --> 00:09:49

It was this power struggle

00:09:50 --> 00:09:54

and wanting to hold on to power and authority

00:09:55 --> 00:09:59

that basically led them to reject the Prophet sallallahu It wasn't even

00:10:00 --> 00:10:00

pausing

00:10:06 --> 00:10:08

and Mahira Eben Estrada

00:10:10 --> 00:10:12

was a man from a PIF

00:10:15 --> 00:10:16

and he was one of the leaders of a party.

00:10:18 --> 00:10:20

He was once visiting Mecca.

00:10:22 --> 00:10:33

And he says, My first contact with rasool Allah He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam had been one day when I was walking with Abuja, *

00:10:36 --> 00:10:42

when I was walking with Abuja Hill, in the streets of Mecca, and we ran into Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasallam.

00:10:45 --> 00:10:47

So Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi salam approached us,

00:10:49 --> 00:10:51

and he spoke to Abuja Hill.

00:10:52 --> 00:10:53

And he said,

00:10:54 --> 00:10:56

Why don't you follow me?

00:10:57 --> 00:10:58

Why don't you believe in Allah?

00:11:00 --> 00:11:01

Why don't you believe in Islam?

00:11:03 --> 00:11:11

So Abuja has responded. And he said, Oh, Mohamed, when are you going to stop cursing our gods?

00:11:13 --> 00:11:16

If you want us to testify that you have fulfilled your mission.

00:11:18 --> 00:11:28

You know, you claim that Allah sent you were on a mission. If you want us to testify that you've accomplished your mission, you fulfilled it, then we are willing to do that.

00:11:30 --> 00:11:32

We're willing to testify that you have done that.

00:11:33 --> 00:11:36

And if I knew that you were telling the truth, I would have already followed you.

00:11:37 --> 00:11:44

He's lying. As you will see, he knows that Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam has brought the truth,

00:11:45 --> 00:11:46

but he's putting up this front.

00:11:49 --> 00:11:53

So after this conversation, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam left

00:11:58 --> 00:12:02

and Walid al Murray, Robin Sharma, he says,

00:12:04 --> 00:12:12

he says that Abuja Hello then turns to me, he looks at me, and he says, I know that he is telling the truth.

00:12:14 --> 00:12:20

And Bucha Hill says, I know that he is telling the truth, but there's something that's holding me back.

00:12:23 --> 00:12:24

And then he explains,

00:12:25 --> 00:12:28

he says, the descendants of qusai.

00:12:29 --> 00:12:35

Now, previously, we mentioned the lineage of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam.

00:12:37 --> 00:12:42

And in his ancestry, there was an individual by the name of qusai.

00:12:45 --> 00:12:46

The children of qusai

00:12:48 --> 00:12:49

were given different roles.

00:12:50 --> 00:12:53

They were given different roles

00:12:54 --> 00:12:55

in Mecca.

00:12:58 --> 00:13:05

And Abuja Hill is not from the line of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. He comes from a different sun, of course.

00:13:08 --> 00:13:16

So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is from Hashem and Abuja Hill is not. So Abuja Hill says, the descendants of qusai.

00:13:17 --> 00:13:20

Were actually Abuja Hill is not from the descendants of coastline.

00:13:22 --> 00:13:30

So Abuja, Hill says, the descendants of qusai. They said, We want the authority of a network.

00:13:32 --> 00:13:37

And a network was basically the assembly of Quraysh. What is similar to a parliament

00:13:38 --> 00:13:39

in our day and time?

00:13:40 --> 00:13:46

So Abuja, Han says, We gave it to them, meaning our family, we gave it to them, they asked for it, we gave it to them.

00:13:48 --> 00:13:55

Then they said, we want the authority of hijab, which is basically guardianship of the cabin.

00:13:59 --> 00:14:00

They were the custodians of the cabin.

00:14:02 --> 00:14:04

So Abuja says, We gave it to them.

00:14:05 --> 00:14:12

Then they said, we want the authority of ileap, which is basically the war banner,

00:14:14 --> 00:14:23

the war flag, that whenever Quraysh goes out to fight a war, they are the ones who hold who hold the flag.

00:14:24 --> 00:14:32

And so he says, We gave it to them. Then they said, we want the authority of a ceasefire, which is to

00:14:34 --> 00:14:40

feed the pilgrims and to give them drink, the Hajaj and so we gave it to them.

00:14:42 --> 00:14:46

And then after that, we did everything we can to compete with them,

00:14:48 --> 00:14:48

with Benincasa,

00:14:50 --> 00:14:52

of which the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam

00:14:53 --> 00:14:55

is one of his descendants.

00:14:56 --> 00:14:57

He said

00:14:58 --> 00:14:59

and now when we started to pick up

00:15:02 --> 00:15:03

In our competition with them.

00:15:05 --> 00:15:08

They have now said we have a Prophet from among us.

00:15:09 --> 00:15:16

How on earth do you expect us to compete with that? And then he said, by God, I will never accept him.

00:15:20 --> 00:15:21

So it shows us

00:15:22 --> 00:15:25

that this was one of the main reasons why Quraysh

00:15:27 --> 00:15:30

they rejected the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam.

00:15:32 --> 00:15:34

And they went

00:15:36 --> 00:15:37

to all these great lengths

00:15:39 --> 00:15:45

to oppose Him, and to make sure that he does not succeed in spreading the deen of Islam.

00:15:47 --> 00:15:48

So Abu Jahan

00:15:49 --> 00:15:56

in what was he saying, basically, he was saying that, you know, this is a matter of competition.

00:15:57 --> 00:16:08

It's a power struggle between us and the family of Rasul Allah He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. And so he knew very well that we cannot compete with him in the matter of prophethood.

00:16:11 --> 00:16:12

But he also didn't want them to win.

00:16:15 --> 00:16:17

Now, even though it's obvious now,

00:16:18 --> 00:16:21

that if he is saying that he is a prophet of Allah,

00:16:23 --> 00:16:28

and we believe it's obvious that he is true, he is truthful in what he's saying, all the proofs are there.

00:16:30 --> 00:16:34

But we don't want we don't want them to win over us. And so it was this

00:16:36 --> 00:16:44

tribal nature as well, of the Arabs, that many among them did not, did not accept Islam because of

00:16:47 --> 00:16:47

and this is why

00:16:50 --> 00:16:52

it is often mentioned in the Quran.

00:16:54 --> 00:17:02

That the ones who are the most outspoken in rejecting the message of the prophets and messengers, they are usually those in power.

00:17:04 --> 00:17:06

They are usually those in power

00:17:14 --> 00:17:14

why?

00:17:16 --> 00:17:18

Because they are the ones holding on to power.

00:17:20 --> 00:17:24

And now the Prophet where the messenger is coming to challenge their authority and their power.

00:17:27 --> 00:17:28

And they don't want to let go of that.

00:17:32 --> 00:17:43

And that's why throughout the Quran whenever we hear the stories of the messengers, and we find the dialogue between the prophets and who, who among their people, and Melech

00:17:45 --> 00:17:46

al mela

00:17:48 --> 00:17:52

al mela refers to the chiefs, the elite

00:17:54 --> 00:17:55

in that society.

00:17:57 --> 00:18:02

So, because Quraysh saw the need to stop the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam from preaching any further.

00:18:04 --> 00:18:06

They did everything that they could to fight back.

00:18:08 --> 00:18:17

And so what we're going to look at, in the coming weeks in sha Allah is the different methods that they used, the different tactics that they used

00:18:19 --> 00:18:19

to

00:18:21 --> 00:18:24

make sure that the Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam does not succeed.

00:18:25 --> 00:18:29

So tonight, we look at the first of these methods,

00:18:30 --> 00:18:31

the first of these

00:18:33 --> 00:18:37

tactics, and that is false accusations,

00:18:39 --> 00:18:42

false accusations or what we can call

00:18:44 --> 00:18:47

in modern terms, character assassination,

00:18:48 --> 00:18:50

character assassination,

00:18:51 --> 00:18:53

where you try to bring down

00:18:55 --> 00:18:57

the person carrying the message.

00:18:58 --> 00:19:03

You try to discredit him, so that people no longer follow him.

00:19:04 --> 00:19:13

And so they thought that if they discredit the Prophet sallallahu, alayhi wasallam and accused him of certain things, then the people will no longer follow him.

00:19:14 --> 00:19:17

And so they started calling him names.

00:19:18 --> 00:19:20

They started calling him names.

00:19:22 --> 00:19:29

They called him a madman. This guy, he's crazy. He's possessed by the spirits by the jinn.

00:19:31 --> 00:19:37

They said he is a sorcerer, a Sahal. A magician.

00:19:41 --> 00:19:42

They said he is a liar.

00:19:45 --> 00:19:48

They said he is a shire a poet.

00:19:51 --> 00:19:52

They said he is a care when

00:19:54 --> 00:19:59

a soothsayer or a fortune teller teller, who communicates with the jinn

00:20:00 --> 00:20:06

These were all labels and false accusations that they threw against the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam.

00:20:08 --> 00:20:12

So for example, Allah subhanahu Adalja says we'll call you Yeah, uh, you

00:20:14 --> 00:20:19

were called we are a U haul Ledi luzira Ali the crew in NECA

00:20:21 --> 00:20:23

lemma Jiun in Nicola Magellan.

00:20:24 --> 00:20:31

They said, oh you upon whom the message has been set down. Indeed you are image noon and that matter

00:20:34 --> 00:20:37

and so they use whatever terms that they could find,

00:20:38 --> 00:20:44

to slander the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam with and so they wanted to assassinate his character.

00:20:45 --> 00:20:48

By doing this, they wanted to destroy the message.

00:20:50 --> 00:20:51

And

00:20:52 --> 00:20:55

naturally, it would hurt the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam when he would hear this

00:20:57 --> 00:21:01

why, because he was innocent of these lies.

00:21:03 --> 00:21:04

And he knew

00:21:06 --> 00:21:12

and he was convinced that he is indeed the Messenger of Allah, who receives the revelation from Allah

00:21:13 --> 00:21:15

from Djibouti rally his center

00:21:18 --> 00:21:22

and that's why Allah subhanho wa Taala then comforted the Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam.

00:21:24 --> 00:21:29

In more than one place in the Quran, Allah comforts the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam

00:21:32 --> 00:21:42

saying that you are free from what they call you over Hammond. Don't worry about what they call you. And so for example, in Surah Al Anam ALLAH SubhanA wa Tada says, Kadena Allah

00:21:43 --> 00:21:47

Kadena animal in a hula Zulu 10 Lady Kowloon.

00:21:48 --> 00:21:56

Allah says oh Mohamed, we certainly know that what they say grieves you. It saddens you we know that.

00:21:59 --> 00:22:03

We know that. For inom law you can double check but

00:22:05 --> 00:22:10

know that it is not you Oh Mohamed that they deny.

00:22:13 --> 00:22:16

It's not you that they did. I don't take it personally.

00:22:20 --> 00:22:22

What I can the volume in the area delay.

00:22:24 --> 00:22:30

However, it is the signs of Allah that the lolly muda wrongdoers are denying.

00:22:32 --> 00:22:36

It's not about you or Mohammed. It's about the truth that you have brought.

00:22:38 --> 00:22:40

You're denying that.

00:22:43 --> 00:22:43

And

00:22:44 --> 00:22:49

they're attacking you because they have nothing else to attack. They can't attack the truth.

00:22:50 --> 00:22:52

They can't challenge the truth.

00:22:54 --> 00:22:56

Because Allah already made that offer to them.

00:22:58 --> 00:23:10

That if you don't believe in this, if you're doubtful about this person, then bring something similar to it. And they couldn't do it, they failed. They didn't even try. They didn't even attempt

00:23:11 --> 00:23:21

to take on that challenge. Because they know that this is a true truth from Allah and they cannot challenge it. So they have to attack the messenger.

00:23:22 --> 00:23:39

And so Allah subhanahu wa Tada is saying that they are not rejecting Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam deep down inside, they know that Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is honest and truthful. But they simply wanted to reject the message. And this takes us back to

00:23:40 --> 00:23:43

the words of what are called EB Nofal.

00:23:44 --> 00:23:49

Remember, that when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam first received the revelation,

00:23:50 --> 00:23:53

and his wife took him to what according to Nelson,

00:23:54 --> 00:23:57

and he told him that

00:23:58 --> 00:24:01

you know, this is the same angel who came to Musa alayhis salam.

00:24:03 --> 00:24:04

And then he told him

00:24:06 --> 00:24:09

that I will surely be with you.

00:24:10 --> 00:24:19

And I will support you I wish that I could live to see the day in which I will be able to support you when your people drive you out.

00:24:20 --> 00:24:26

When your people drive you out. And so the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was shocked by this by hearing this.

00:24:27 --> 00:24:34

You know, this is way before he started giving Dawa the very first revelation in the story of Accra.

00:24:38 --> 00:24:45

He was shocked to hear this because he knew that he was admired by his people. His people loved him.

00:24:47 --> 00:24:49

And so he asked, Will that actually happen?

00:24:51 --> 00:24:56

Are they going to really drive me out? As a worker? It'd be Nofal. He said, Anyone

00:24:57 --> 00:25:00

who presented anything similar

00:25:00 --> 00:25:04

to what you have brought to his people, the same thing had happened.

00:25:05 --> 00:25:06

The same thing had happened.

00:25:08 --> 00:25:15

Anytime a prophet and a messenger came with what you had brought, he was opposed.

00:25:16 --> 00:25:19

He was fought against, and he was driven out of his lab.

00:25:22 --> 00:25:24

Now coming back to these false accusations

00:25:31 --> 00:25:33

the marketplace in Mecca

00:25:34 --> 00:25:37

was not only a place to do business,

00:25:39 --> 00:25:44

it would also have things like poetry and speech competitions.

00:25:46 --> 00:25:48

And so it was also

00:25:49 --> 00:25:53

a cultural center or a community center where people would gather.

00:25:55 --> 00:26:09

And so the best of poems, they will be recited in these as work in these marketplaces, and then the best of the poems would then be hung on the cab.

00:26:12 --> 00:26:14

They would have competitions and the best of the poems

00:26:15 --> 00:26:20

would be hung on the cabinet. And then they were referred to as Elmo alacarte.

00:26:21 --> 00:26:23

Those poems that were hung on the calendar

00:26:25 --> 00:26:29

so Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam when he began giving Dawa.

00:26:31 --> 00:26:35

He took advantage of these marketplaces, this is where people come together.

00:26:36 --> 00:26:39

So let me go here and start calling people to Islam.

00:26:43 --> 00:26:45

So Imam Ahmed, he narrates

00:26:46 --> 00:26:54

that Robbie I even had dad, he says, that I saw the Messenger of Allah in the marketplace of the images.

00:26:56 --> 00:27:00

And he was saying to the people, old people,

00:27:01 --> 00:27:04

c'est la ilaha illa Allah to Flickr.

00:27:07 --> 00:27:09

C'est la vie. Ilaha illa Allah accept Islam.

00:27:11 --> 00:27:17

testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and you will succeed you will prosper.

00:27:19 --> 00:27:21

You will have success in this later in the next

00:27:24 --> 00:27:37

episode will be our he goes on to say that Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would meet people wherever he goes, he finds a group of people in the marketplace. He says this to them. He goes on to another group of people he says this to them.

00:27:39 --> 00:27:40

Rubia says

00:27:41 --> 00:27:42

there was a bad following.

00:27:44 --> 00:28:01

There was a man following him following the Prophet sallallahu annual center. And whenever Rasul Allah He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would speak to a group of people, this man would go that would go to them after him. And he would say, don't believe in Him. He is a liar.

00:28:03 --> 00:28:09

Don't believe in him. He's a liar. Robbie, I even had that. He says, I asked Who is this man?

00:28:12 --> 00:28:16

So they said, this is his uncle, Abu Lahab.

00:28:18 --> 00:28:27

This is his uncle Abu Lahab Roby. I even heard that he was not from Africa. So he wasn't familiar with who Abu Lahab was.

00:28:28 --> 00:28:33

And so imagine how difficult it was for the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,

00:28:34 --> 00:28:36

whatever he would do.

00:28:38 --> 00:28:40

Abu Lahab comes from behind and destroys it.

00:28:44 --> 00:28:48

Whatever Dawa he would do, it will be destroyed

00:28:49 --> 00:28:50

by Abu Lahab.

00:28:54 --> 00:28:55

We human beings,

00:28:57 --> 00:29:01

we gain encouragement by seeing the fruits of our actions, right.

00:29:04 --> 00:29:07

We want to see reward one way or the other.

00:29:09 --> 00:29:13

And that, you know, gives us motivation to continue.

00:29:16 --> 00:29:23

Otherwise, we would lose momentum and we would lose more motivation. We wouldn't want to continue. If we see that whatever we're doing,

00:29:25 --> 00:29:26

it's going to waste.

00:29:29 --> 00:29:30

And so

00:29:33 --> 00:29:34

if everything is against you,

00:29:36 --> 00:29:41

and whatever you're doing is being destroyed. It will be impossible to go on.

00:29:44 --> 00:29:47

But this is where the prophets and the messengers of Allah were different.

00:29:49 --> 00:29:50

Why?

00:29:51 --> 00:29:57

Because for them, their reward in their minds is the reward with Allah

00:30:01 --> 00:30:04

Their reward is with Allah.

00:30:05 --> 00:30:08

And so look at the example of new Halley hustler.

00:30:10 --> 00:30:16

And how he would give Dawa to his people day and night as Allah mentions in Surah noon.

00:30:18 --> 00:30:25

In the day I used to call me Leyland one O'Hara, day and night, loud and silently,

00:30:26 --> 00:30:28

publicly and privately.

00:30:30 --> 00:30:31

And he got no response

00:30:33 --> 00:30:39

950 years and no response. But he did not give up.

00:30:41 --> 00:30:44

Even after 950 years of giving dower he didn't give up.

00:30:46 --> 00:30:48

If it was one of us, we'd say

00:30:49 --> 00:30:51

these people they're doomed.

00:30:52 --> 00:30:54

It's pointless, just give up. But no,

00:30:56 --> 00:31:04

that was not the case with the prophets and the messengers. He saw no fruits of his power, but he continued till the end.

00:31:08 --> 00:31:11

And so here the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is giving Dawa

00:31:13 --> 00:31:15

and behind him a Buddha had comes in, he destroys it

00:31:17 --> 00:31:20

in the span of only a few, a few moments.

00:31:22 --> 00:31:29

But this is an example the point here was, this is an example of what the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam was facing

00:31:31 --> 00:31:38

of for false accusations, character assassination, Ebola had had nothing else.

00:31:40 --> 00:31:49

He had no other tactic that he could have used, because the message of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam is true.

00:31:51 --> 00:31:57

He can go and convince the people otherwise. So he comes and he does character assassination.

00:31:59 --> 00:32:00

Another example

00:32:02 --> 00:32:04

was narrated by Imam and basically

00:32:06 --> 00:32:08

and so right before the season have had such

00:32:10 --> 00:32:18

a movie your al Walid Ibn Al Mahira. Al Walid movie Iran, who was one of the elders of Croatia at that time.

00:32:20 --> 00:32:22

He got crushed together,

00:32:23 --> 00:32:25

and he addressed them.

00:32:28 --> 00:32:31

And so he told them, that look,

00:32:32 --> 00:32:34

the season of Hajj is approaching,

00:32:36 --> 00:32:42

the season of Hajj is approaching and the delegation of the Arabs are coming.

00:32:43 --> 00:32:46

So let us unify our word.

00:32:48 --> 00:32:53

Let us plan let us strategize.

00:32:54 --> 00:32:57

What are we going to tell the Arabs

00:32:59 --> 00:33:02

about Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.

00:33:04 --> 00:33:06

We have to have one message.

00:33:09 --> 00:33:14

We shouldn't have different messages that are going to be conflicting and contradicting.

00:33:16 --> 00:33:19

And so al Waleed, he was basically he was basically saying that look,

00:33:21 --> 00:33:27

the people are coming for Hajj soon. And Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasallam will approach them.

00:33:29 --> 00:33:31

He's going to approach them he's going to give them down.

00:33:32 --> 00:33:37

So we have to plan. How are we going to counter that? How are we going to counter his data?

00:33:40 --> 00:33:42

What are we going to say about him?

00:33:44 --> 00:33:52

And so he didn't think it would make sense if some of them said he's a liar. Others said that he is a magician.

00:33:54 --> 00:33:55

Others said that he is a madman.

00:33:57 --> 00:33:59

He thought no, we should unify our message.

00:34:01 --> 00:34:02

So the people they said to well will read.

00:34:04 --> 00:34:06

You tell us what you think. And we'll go by that.

00:34:08 --> 00:34:10

So I said no, I want to hear from you.

00:34:13 --> 00:34:15

So the people said okay, we'll say that he is

00:34:16 --> 00:34:17

a fortune teller.

00:34:20 --> 00:34:21

And so we'll we'll need to know.

00:34:23 --> 00:34:26

He doesn't engage in

00:34:27 --> 00:34:28

fortune telling.

00:34:29 --> 00:34:34

He doesn't engage in the rind mumbling that they use.

00:34:35 --> 00:34:39

Until they said, Okay, let's say that He's crazy.

00:34:41 --> 00:34:43

He's possessed by demons by the jinn.

00:34:46 --> 00:34:48

And so he said, No, he's not crazy.

00:34:49 --> 00:34:52

We have seen and known those who are crazy.

00:34:53 --> 00:34:59

And he has none of their erratic movements. And they're mumbling people who are possessed

00:35:00 --> 00:35:02

They have certain things that they do

00:35:03 --> 00:35:08

that you could tell this person is crazy. And will either an HR leader said no.

00:35:11 --> 00:35:14

So they said, Okay, let's claim that he's a poet.

00:35:16 --> 00:35:26

That's what will lead said no, he is no poet. We know poetry in all its different forms. And what he speaks is not poetry.

00:35:28 --> 00:35:38

And when he says in another narration, I am the most expert among you in poetry. I know all of its forms, and the Qur'an is not portrait.

00:35:43 --> 00:35:46

And so they said, Okay, let's claim that he is a magician.

00:35:48 --> 00:35:49

So they said, he said to them, no,

00:35:51 --> 00:35:58

he is not a magician. We have seen magicians and their magic, and he doesn't do any of their,

00:35:59 --> 00:36:02

you know, any of the things that they do, where they

00:36:03 --> 00:36:10

take ropes and tie them and untie them and blowing them etc. We have seen him doing none of that.

00:36:12 --> 00:36:15

And so basically, they mentioned all of their options.

00:36:17 --> 00:36:23

And then will either be removed or said, it won't make sense. So they said what, what should we say that?

00:36:24 --> 00:36:26

So and when he thought about it,

00:36:27 --> 00:36:28

he thought long.

00:36:30 --> 00:36:32

And then after rethinking about it, he said,

00:36:34 --> 00:36:39

by God, there, there is splendor, there is beauty.

00:36:40 --> 00:36:44

There is beauty, in what he speaks, meaning the Quran.

00:36:45 --> 00:36:50

In its essence, it's beautiful. He is like a palm tree that gives much fruit.

00:36:52 --> 00:36:55

All of what you have been seeing will not be believed in.

00:36:56 --> 00:37:08

If he comes to them with the Quran, and recites the Quran to them, and you guys are saying he's a madman, He's a magician. He's this he's that it's not gonna work.

00:37:11 --> 00:37:15

All of what you guys are gonna see, no one's gonna believe in it.

00:37:16 --> 00:37:20

Then he said, however, we have to call him something,

00:37:22 --> 00:37:27

we have to say he has something. So the closest thing for us to say is that he is

00:37:28 --> 00:37:44

a sorcerer, a magician, who comes between a man and his religion between a man and his father, between a man and his brother, between a man and his wife, and between a man and his tribe, causing division and delivery.

00:37:46 --> 00:37:47

So it is said

00:37:48 --> 00:37:55

that this is when Allah subhanahu Attallah revealed those ayaats in solitude Mudassir

00:37:58 --> 00:38:02

where Allah subhanahu wa Tada says ena who forgot our Kadar

00:38:04 --> 00:38:08

indeed, he thought and he deliberated referring to and will lead

00:38:11 --> 00:38:16

the coup de la que cada, so, may he be destroyed for how he deliberated.

00:38:17 --> 00:39:08

So makuti la que if I cut the then may he be destroyed for what for how he deliberated. So manava then, he considered again, so this was describing actually, when they made the proposals that will say that this is what he is, this is what he is. And then he thought, and he said no. And he thought again, and he said no. Then after everything he he stopped and thought for a very long time. So this Allah describing him to Minerva, then he considered it again to Mahabis our better, then he frowned, and He scowled, some dubara was stuck, but then he turned back and he was arrogant for Allah in her it'll say hurry, you sir. And then he said, This is not anything but magic. imitated from others, in

00:39:08 --> 00:39:13

her Illa Klobuchar. This is nothing but the words of a human being.

00:39:18 --> 00:39:20

And so this is another example

00:39:22 --> 00:39:22

of

00:39:24 --> 00:39:32

how Quraysh deliberated and thought, what should we label the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. With what false accusations

00:39:33 --> 00:39:35

should we attribute to Him?

00:39:36 --> 00:39:37

So the question is,

00:39:40 --> 00:39:42

did this tactic of courage work?

00:39:47 --> 00:39:50

This careful deliberation and all of this planning

00:39:51 --> 00:39:59

not only in this incident, but many other examples didn't work, where they would

00:40:00 --> 00:40:00

It

00:40:02 --> 00:40:05

called the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam names.

00:40:07 --> 00:40:13

Did any of that work to prevent people from accepting Islam? The answer is no.

00:40:14 --> 00:40:15

The answer is no.

00:40:17 --> 00:40:18

And so

00:40:19 --> 00:40:22

quite to the contrary, we have many examples.

00:40:23 --> 00:40:27

And stories of people accepting Islam even even after hearing,

00:40:29 --> 00:40:38

if even after hearing these different labels that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam was labeled with. So let us look at two examples.

00:40:39 --> 00:40:45

The stories of two companions and how they accepted Islam. The first is

00:40:46 --> 00:40:52

the story of we mad as Dean be mad, LSD.

00:40:53 --> 00:40:54

He was a man from

00:40:55 --> 00:40:56

southern Arabia.

00:40:59 --> 00:41:00

And he came to Macau.

00:41:02 --> 00:41:08

And he heard some of the people in Mecca saying that there is a man among us

00:41:09 --> 00:41:11

who is possessed

00:41:12 --> 00:41:13

with the jinn.

00:41:15 --> 00:41:19

So they were referring to to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam

00:41:21 --> 00:41:24

we mad, was a professional

00:41:26 --> 00:41:26

healer.

00:41:28 --> 00:41:29

He was

00:41:30 --> 00:41:31

a professional Rocky,

00:41:32 --> 00:41:36

one who used to heal people who are possessed.

00:41:38 --> 00:41:39

And so

00:41:40 --> 00:41:45

he went up to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam with sincere intentions of helping him

00:41:46 --> 00:41:51

he thought this man is possessed. Let me go help him out. Maybe I can heal him.

00:41:52 --> 00:41:58

So he went to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and said to him, I heard that you are you are possessed with jinn.

00:41:59 --> 00:42:03

And I am offering my service, I can help you.

00:42:05 --> 00:42:08

So Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam he was.

00:42:09 --> 00:42:11

He was very compassionate.

00:42:12 --> 00:42:23

And so he understood that this man is obviously a stranger. He's not from town. He's from out of town. And he must have heard some wrong information.

00:42:25 --> 00:42:28

Did the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam get into a debate with him?

00:42:30 --> 00:42:31

Did he?

00:42:32 --> 00:42:35

Try to say no, I'm not possessed.

00:42:36 --> 00:42:37

No.

00:42:38 --> 00:42:41

Instead, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam started

00:42:43 --> 00:42:46

by mentioning the words of hot bottle Hajra

00:42:48 --> 00:42:49

in the beginning

00:42:51 --> 00:42:52

of our hot words,

00:42:55 --> 00:43:13

the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam whenever he would begin a hot way he would say the beginning the introductory kotoba which is in Al Hamdulillah. Muhammad who and isteri you know who when it's still futile when a rue de la Himanshu, Rudy and fusina when they say it and Melina until the end.

00:43:14 --> 00:43:16

And so this is called hot water Hajra.

00:43:19 --> 00:43:46

So, basically, it says, May Allah be praised, we praise Him we seek His help, whomever Allah leads, right, no one can lead him astray. Whoever Allah leads astray, no one can guide him. I bear testimony that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, who has no associates until the end. Now, the words in Arabic, they have a beautiful rhyme to it.

00:43:48 --> 00:43:50

And it sounds very eloquent.

00:43:52 --> 00:43:59

And so when we had heard these words, he stopped the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and he said,

00:44:00 --> 00:44:02

Can you please repeat those words for me?

00:44:04 --> 00:44:14

And so the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam repeated the words for him. And then after he was done, we mad he said, I have heard nothing similar to this.

00:44:16 --> 00:44:21

These words are so powerful, that they are going to reach the depths of the ocean.

00:44:22 --> 00:44:25

Meaning these words are going to have influence.

00:44:28 --> 00:44:31

And so the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam then said to do not

00:44:33 --> 00:44:35

pledge allegiance to me.

00:44:36 --> 00:44:41

Give me your hand, and pledge allegiance to Me, meaning accept Islam.

00:44:42 --> 00:44:47

So right on the spot, be mad. He said the shahada and he accepted Islam.

00:44:48 --> 00:44:59

So then Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, How about you pledge for your people as well? Because Leonardo was not from Africa. He was from southern Arabia.

00:45:00 --> 00:45:03

until the Prophet sallahu alayhi wa sallam said

00:45:06 --> 00:45:12

pledge on behalf of your people as well. And so he said yes I pledge on behalf of my people as well.

00:45:15 --> 00:45:21

It's also the hen Allah, this man came to heal Rasul Allah He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,

00:45:22 --> 00:45:25

but a solar light he sallallahu alayhi wa sallam healed him.

00:45:27 --> 00:45:29

Now, years later,

00:45:30 --> 00:45:33

after the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam migrates to Medina,

00:45:35 --> 00:45:40

and he sends missions to different parts of Arabia.

00:45:45 --> 00:46:08

One of his armies, was sent to Saudi Arabia and pass next to the village of a brunette. And so the leader of the army asked them, he asked the Muslims, did you take anything from these people? Did you take anything from them? It's a one man from the army. He said, Yes. I took a very strong camel from them.

00:46:10 --> 00:46:19

And so the leader of the army said give it back to them because these are the people of the bad and Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam gave them protection.

00:46:22 --> 00:46:23

So this is the story of

00:46:25 --> 00:46:27

the Mad LSD.

00:46:28 --> 00:46:29

And how,

00:46:31 --> 00:46:33

after hearing

00:46:34 --> 00:46:37

the false accusation against the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,

00:46:40 --> 00:46:43

he went to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and accepted Islam.

00:46:45 --> 00:46:51

The second example that we have is that of to fail in Hamburg, for the Allama had

00:46:54 --> 00:46:55

to fail was

00:46:56 --> 00:46:58

from the tribe of a dose.

00:47:00 --> 00:47:02

So he was considered

00:47:03 --> 00:47:07

a very intellectual person from among his people.

00:47:08 --> 00:47:10

And Qureshi recognized his status.

00:47:13 --> 00:47:15

So when he came to Mecca one day,

00:47:16 --> 00:47:20

the entire leadership of Quraysh they gathered to welcome him.

00:47:21 --> 00:47:23

And they made him aware of the situation and

00:47:26 --> 00:47:30

with Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam claiming prophethood.

00:47:31 --> 00:47:36

So they wanted to warn him not to approach the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,

00:47:37 --> 00:47:41

as they thought, that this is someone we don't want.

00:47:42 --> 00:47:44

We don't want someone like him to be accepting Islam.

00:47:45 --> 00:47:52

Because he is an intellectual. And he is, you know, one of the leaders of his people.

00:47:53 --> 00:47:58

So they told him that Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam had divided mekin society,

00:48:00 --> 00:48:03

causing dissension causing chaos.

00:48:05 --> 00:48:07

And that his words are like magic,

00:48:08 --> 00:48:15

causing division between a man and his father, between a man and his brother, between a man and his wife.

00:48:18 --> 00:48:20

And this accusation is nothing new.

00:48:22 --> 00:48:26

This accusation was made by even the people of the past.

00:48:28 --> 00:48:31

This was the same thing that Fairholme said about Oops It has said

00:48:32 --> 00:48:40

that he is causing confusion and chaos among our people. You have to get him he's a troublemaker.

00:48:43 --> 00:48:45

And so this is what they said to to fail.

00:48:49 --> 00:48:50

And so they said to him,

00:48:52 --> 00:48:53

don't approach him.

00:48:54 --> 00:48:55

Don't talk to him.

00:48:56 --> 00:48:59

Don't even listen to anything that he has to say.

00:49:02 --> 00:49:09

Otherwise, the same thing that has happened to us and our society will happen to your people.

00:49:13 --> 00:49:24

That's all perfect fail. It is mentioned that he entered Mecca after hearing all of this. You will be in brainwashed him this way. He enters Mecca and puts cotton in his ears.

00:49:26 --> 00:49:27

You know, he was so afraid now.

00:49:28 --> 00:49:35

He blocked his ears. He didn't want to hear anything from the Prophet salAllahu alayhi wasallam.

00:49:38 --> 00:49:43

But then it so happened he was in the Haram and he saw the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam.

00:49:45 --> 00:49:49

He saw him praying in an unusual way.

00:49:50 --> 00:49:53

So he became intrigued. He became curious.

00:49:55 --> 00:49:59

And so he went close to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam

00:50:00 --> 00:50:03

He took out his cotton buds. And he started to listen.

00:50:06 --> 00:50:11

And he said to himself, you know, what is wrong with me? You know, I'm an intelligent man.

00:50:14 --> 00:50:16

Let me listen to what the man has to say.

00:50:18 --> 00:50:21

I can tell the difference between what is right and what is wrong.

00:50:22 --> 00:50:26

You know, I'm an intellectual. Why should I listen to what these people have to say?

00:50:29 --> 00:50:31

And so he was intelligent indeed.

00:50:32 --> 00:50:37

And so he went, and he listened to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.

00:50:39 --> 00:50:40

And

00:50:41 --> 00:50:44

he followed the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam home.

00:50:45 --> 00:50:49

And then he asked the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam to recite to him,

00:50:51 --> 00:50:54

to recite to him the same Quran that he was warned about.

00:50:56 --> 00:51:01

And so when he recited the Quran to him to fail, accepted Islam at once.

00:51:03 --> 00:51:08

And then it mentions in his story that he vowed to return to his people and invite them to Islam.

00:51:09 --> 00:51:11

And the first person he met was his father.

00:51:13 --> 00:51:16

And he explained that things have changed. And,

00:51:18 --> 00:51:32

you know, his father asked him, you know what's happened, he told him the story, and so his father accepted Islam. Then he said the same to his wife, and his wife also accepted itself. However, the rest of his people, they were slow to accepting Islam.

00:51:33 --> 00:51:46

The rest of his people were slow, and they were not believing in Him. So to fail, went back a few days later to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and he asked the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam to make dua against his people.

00:51:49 --> 00:51:51

Because they're not accepting Islam.

00:51:52 --> 00:51:57

And they have preferred idolatry and worshiping idols over the truth of Islam.

00:51:59 --> 00:52:06

So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam instead raised his hands and asked Allah to guide the people of a dose.

00:52:08 --> 00:52:10

In then he advised to fail to go back to his people,

00:52:12 --> 00:52:15

and to continue to give him to give them down.

00:52:18 --> 00:52:19

So he did that.

00:52:20 --> 00:52:25

And then years later, when the Prophet sallallahu, alayhi wasallam, migrated to Medina,

00:52:26 --> 00:52:34

in the battle, close to the Battle of an Haber, or the Battle of 100. The Trench

00:52:35 --> 00:52:39

were actually the Battle of Haber, which was much later after the Battle of unhung duck

00:52:42 --> 00:52:45

to fail comes and Mr. Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam

00:52:47 --> 00:52:48

with his people.

00:52:49 --> 00:52:51

He came with his people

00:52:52 --> 00:53:03

who had now accepted Islam. And he arrived with 70 or 80 Different families from a dose and then he stayed in Medina until the conquest of Makkah.

00:53:05 --> 00:53:07

So these are two examples

00:53:08 --> 00:53:11

of people who accepted Islam,

00:53:12 --> 00:53:17

even when the campaign against Islam was at its highest.

00:53:19 --> 00:53:21

And this misinformation was being spread.

00:53:22 --> 00:53:28

And this character assassination was taking place of the Prophet salAllahu alayhi wasallam, to discredit him.

00:53:29 --> 00:53:34

Even after all of that, people were still accepting Islam.

00:53:36 --> 00:53:39

And so as we can see, this tactic, of course, didn't work.

00:53:40 --> 00:53:46

And so they had to figure out other ways of stopping the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam.

00:53:49 --> 00:53:53

But we will suffice with this. And next week, we'll move on to other tactics that are used.

00:53:55 --> 00:53:56

But before we conclude,

00:53:58 --> 00:54:06

there are many lessons that we can learn from this particular tactic of the enemies of Islam.

00:54:08 --> 00:54:18

It's nothing new as we have seen, and it continues until this very day, and it will continue until the day of judgment. So what are the some of the lessons that we can learn?

00:54:20 --> 00:54:22

What are some of the lessons that we can learn

00:54:23 --> 00:54:24

from

00:54:26 --> 00:54:29

from this tactic that was used by crush?

00:54:30 --> 00:54:32

The first lesson that we learned

00:54:33 --> 00:54:38

is that the enemies of Islam resort to name calling

00:54:39 --> 00:54:42

after they have failed in responding to proof with proof

00:54:44 --> 00:54:46

and argument with argument

00:54:47 --> 00:54:49

when they can't do that,

00:54:50 --> 00:54:58

when the truth is clear in their eyes, and they can't possibly refute the truth.

00:54:59 --> 00:55:00

What do they

00:55:00 --> 00:55:03

Do they resort to name calling?

00:55:04 --> 00:55:12

they resort to name calling. Because if you succeed in discrediting the messenger

00:55:14 --> 00:55:17

then you will succeed in discrediting the message.

00:55:20 --> 00:55:28

If you can succeed in discrediting the person who is bringing you the message, and this includes every day

00:55:30 --> 00:55:33

then you will succeed in bringing down the message.

00:55:35 --> 00:55:45

And so they tried it with the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and they failed because all of their accusations against him turned out to be false. And so they were not able to bring down the message

00:55:52 --> 00:55:54

and this is how the enemies of Islam operate.

00:55:59 --> 00:56:03

One of the individuals that orientalists today,

00:56:04 --> 00:56:08

they tried to pick on and they tried to bring him down

00:56:11 --> 00:56:14

is the companion who a warrior or the Allahu

00:56:15 --> 00:56:15

why?

00:56:17 --> 00:56:19

Because of a warrior or the Allah Who

00:56:20 --> 00:56:29

was the one who knew really the most a Hadith from the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam there was no other companion who married it was a hadith and him

00:56:32 --> 00:56:34

so they realize

00:56:35 --> 00:56:36

if we can discredit Him,

00:56:38 --> 00:56:42

if we can bring him down, the entire Deen of Islam will come crashing down.

00:56:44 --> 00:57:01

And so they are constantly caught, you know, stirring up doubts concerning a warrior or the allawah Seeing that he is not reliable, that he accepted Islam towards the end of his of the life of the prophet Sallallahu it was his reports are not reliable.

00:57:03 --> 00:57:05

This and this and this etc.

00:57:07 --> 00:57:15

The Orientalist of today have tried their best to bring him down. Why? Because they know if they bring him down. They'll bring the entire Deen of Islam down.

00:57:18 --> 00:57:20

So this is how they operate.

00:57:22 --> 00:57:31

Bring down the messenger, bring down the bearer, the one who is carrying the message, and you bring down the message. The second lesson that we learned

00:57:33 --> 00:57:45

is that the enemies of Islam work day and night to try to stop the spread of Islam and do everything that they can to discredit the Prophet salallahu alayhi wa salam and the truth of Islam.

00:57:47 --> 00:57:48

And they do all of that.

00:57:49 --> 00:57:53

In a well planned, well organized way

00:57:55 --> 00:57:56

to cause the most damage.

00:57:58 --> 00:58:00

It's all coloration met and planned.

00:58:02 --> 00:58:04

Before the Hajj season,

00:58:06 --> 00:58:07

they got together and Walid

00:58:09 --> 00:58:12

Ibn removing era he got them together. And he said let us plan this out.

00:58:14 --> 00:58:18

The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is going to meet the Arabs he's going to be giving them Dawa.

00:58:19 --> 00:58:22

Let's strategize let's come up with a plan.

00:58:24 --> 00:58:28

Each one of us cannot be saying something different. We have to have one voice one message.

00:58:29 --> 00:58:33

So we saw how they got together and they deliberated and they thought about it.

00:58:34 --> 00:58:40

So it was not random. It was not an organized, they thought of the right time, the right place, the hedge season.

00:58:43 --> 00:58:51

And they thought about exactly what they should say, and how there should not be any contradictions. Likewise, the enemies of Islam

00:58:54 --> 00:58:55

the plan day in day out

00:58:57 --> 00:58:59

in a well organized way.

00:59:02 --> 00:59:04

It's a we need to be prepared for that.

00:59:05 --> 00:59:07

The third lesson that we learned

00:59:08 --> 00:59:12

is that this tactic of name calling of

00:59:14 --> 00:59:18

character assassination, it often backfires

00:59:19 --> 00:59:25

on the enemies of Islam. The very people that they target to brainwash

00:59:26 --> 00:59:29

with their anti Islamic rhetoric.

00:59:30 --> 00:59:33

They are the same ones who end up accepting Islam.

00:59:34 --> 00:59:37

The ones that they are so keen, we have to make sure

00:59:38 --> 00:59:54

that we brainwashed this individual We don't want him to be accepting Islam. It is those same people who end up accepting Islam. Why? Because these people are intelligent and they're sincere. As long as they're intelligent and sincere.

00:59:56 --> 00:59:57

Then

00:59:58 --> 00:59:59

they'll end up investigating

01:00:00 --> 01:00:01

stand for themselves.

01:00:03 --> 01:00:09

The fourth lesson that we learned is that the enemies of Islam, plot and plan and soldiers Allah

01:00:11 --> 01:00:13

and Allah is the Best of those who plan.

01:00:14 --> 01:00:19

When we see Islam being fought against, it naturally bothers us.

01:00:20 --> 01:00:24

The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was saddened when he would hear these names.

01:00:26 --> 01:00:27

And Allah comforts him

01:00:29 --> 01:00:32

that we know that, you know this, this bothers you.

01:00:33 --> 01:00:34

And this saddens you.

01:00:37 --> 01:00:41

But we should always remember that there is some good and

01:00:43 --> 01:00:52

there is some good in it and we will see the good in the future. We may not see it today. But there will come a date in which we will see it.

01:00:54 --> 01:00:57

When the enemies of Islam spread lies

01:00:58 --> 01:00:59

about Islam,

01:01:00 --> 01:01:01

what happens?

01:01:02 --> 01:01:03

They end up

01:01:04 --> 01:01:08

unintentionally, it's not their intention. But what happens is

01:01:09 --> 01:01:11

the end up bringing attention to Islam

01:01:14 --> 01:01:16

it causes awareness of Islam,

01:01:17 --> 01:01:18

as we have seen

01:01:20 --> 01:01:22

in the last decade or two.

01:01:24 --> 01:01:29

When Islam started to come under attack

01:01:32 --> 01:01:33

they called

01:01:34 --> 01:01:45

they call the OIC all kinds of things that Islam is a religion of terrorism. Islam is a barbaric religion it's a backward religion

01:01:47 --> 01:01:48

what did they do?

01:01:49 --> 01:01:51

They cause curiosity among the people

01:01:53 --> 01:01:56

sincere people they said let's check it out for ourselves.

01:01:57 --> 01:02:01

Many of these people they started to explore stem and end up accepting Islam

01:02:02 --> 01:02:07

when we see the enemies of Islam attacking Islam in this way

01:02:09 --> 01:02:16

yes, it's going to bother us, but look at the good in it good will come out of it without a doubt

01:02:18 --> 01:02:26

i Sir into crochet and will who will Jairo Lacan perhaps there is something that you dislike, but there is good in it.

01:02:27 --> 01:02:29

The fifth lesson that we learn

01:02:31 --> 01:02:34

is that we should never believe in rumors

01:02:35 --> 01:02:39

and intelligent people they never believe in rumors

01:02:42 --> 01:02:50

until they go and investigate for themselves and so, even we Muslims, even those we disagree with if we hear something

01:02:52 --> 01:02:54

you know, coming to us from

01:02:55 --> 01:02:57

unreliable sources.

01:02:58 --> 01:03:03

What should we do? We should ascertain? Who should investigate who should inquire

01:03:05 --> 01:03:10

Yeah, you handle Adina Avenue injure or confess you could be another in forever yellow

01:03:12 --> 01:03:14

or you believe if a facet

01:03:16 --> 01:03:20

a disobedient person comes to you with news.

01:03:23 --> 01:03:28

Check it, investigate. Don't just accept what they have to tell you.

01:03:29 --> 01:03:30

And so

01:03:32 --> 01:03:38

these people were being fed with rumors about the prophets Allah Allahu Allah will send them

01:03:39 --> 01:03:48

the intelligent among them. They did not accept what they were being told. And they went and they investigated, such as

01:03:49 --> 01:03:51

to fail or the Allah.

01:03:54 --> 01:03:56

Finally, last lesson that we can learn

01:03:57 --> 01:03:58

is

01:04:00 --> 01:04:03

that the deen of Islam is the dean of the fitrah.

01:04:05 --> 01:04:08

And we see this when people quickly accept Islam

01:04:10 --> 01:04:14

in the time of the Prophet sallallahu, alayhi wasallam as well as today.

01:04:16 --> 01:04:26

Look at how quickly people are accepting Islam despite the opposition. And despite the resistance. And despite the media campaigns by the enemies of Islam.

01:04:28 --> 01:04:40

What does it show us? It shows us that Islam is indeed the religion of the fitrah. It appeals to the fitrah that is inside each and every single human being.

01:04:42 --> 01:04:45

The problem is that the people their fitrah

01:04:46 --> 01:04:50

has been veiled. It has been flogged

01:04:51 --> 01:04:53

and that's why they don't accept Islam.

01:04:55 --> 01:04:58

And that's why they don't see the truth of it.

01:05:00 --> 01:05:06

But once they remove the fog, and once they remove that veil that is covering the fitrah

01:05:08 --> 01:05:14

then what do they do they quickly accept Islam, they don't hesitate. You know, without even any hesitation.

01:05:15 --> 01:05:19

We saw that in the life of the prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. And we see that today

01:05:21 --> 01:05:28

so if that is the case when Islam is being bombarded and being attacked, and being resisted and opposed,

01:05:29 --> 01:05:34

then what would be the case if Islam was left without any resistance

01:05:37 --> 01:05:39

then people would be accepting Islam

01:05:41 --> 01:05:43

in loads and multitudes

01:05:47 --> 01:05:50

as happened in the time of the Prophet sallallahu, alayhi wasallam after what

01:05:51 --> 01:05:54

after for temeka

01:05:55 --> 01:06:03

after the conquest of Mecca, because now the resistance is over. The opposition is over. So what happens?

01:06:05 --> 01:06:13

Either Jaya or not sort of why he will forget. What are at nursery yeah do Hulu nephew Dean Allah He of wotja

01:06:15 --> 01:06:30

when the victory of Allah comes in the conquest of Mecca, is referring to the Congress and makup when it comes, and you see the people entering into Islam, in loans in huge numbers. Why because now there's no resistance.

01:06:33 --> 01:06:42

So this shows us that Islam is the dean of the fitrah so these are some of the lessons that we can learn from this tactic that was used by Quraysh.

01:06:43 --> 01:07:09

of false accusations and name calling in shallow to hide it next week. We'll move on to other tactics that were used by Qureshi when they failed in this tactic Subhana Kolodner will be handed a shadow Allah, learn to sell Fuuka were to be local Salallahu salam ala Nabina Muhammad, wa ala alihi wa sahbihi wa salam alaykum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
