Ramadan 2019 #19 – The Two Types of Jannatis

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh Alhamdulillah wa salatu salam ala rasulillah so today I want to discuss a lesson from one of my favorite students of the Quran Surah Al waqia

Surah Al Roker begins with a description of gender. But initial rush by Hannah without taala describes two different levels of gender. And about the first level of gender Allah subhanaw taala describes the people of this level of gender as similar to mineral Oberlin or Kali luminol Arkadin that they will be many in the early generations, but very few in the later generations. And then Allah subhanho wa Taala describes the second type of Jana, he says about the people of that Jenna Shula terminal over Lena was similar to mingle theory that there will be many of the early generations and many of the later generations now. I find this description in the Quran to be very

comforting, and to be very interesting. So the first thing we need to look at in this set of verses is why are the two different types of gender being described? And why is the first type going to have less people in the second type. The first type of gender being described in this set of verses is a Jenna that that is for the Olia or for for the for the righteous for the pious people. Right worshiper Hannah doll described these people in Slovakia as a Serbian those who raise to do good deeds, those who are putting in extra effort to do as much good deeds as possible. Unless you have a handout I described you as macabre boon, those who have a close relationship with Allah Subhana

Allah. So Allah Subhana Allah is telling us in in the surah that essentially There are two types of Muslims. They are those who are your average Muslims, they have sins, they have mistakes, they they have bad habits. They're struggling but they believe in Allah and the messenger sallallahu wasallam. But then you have a higher level. Right, you have a higher level, which is the Olia which is the STS which is the defense of Allah democrator among those who are close to Allah subhanho wa Taala. These are people who go beyond what is normal in terms of the good deeds, and will attain a close relationship with Allah subhanho wa Taala. And so for this group of people, Allah has created a

special Jana a higher level of general a greater reward. Now, these two sets of verses should at the same time, give us hope of getting to Jenna, as well as giving us inspiration and motivation to set higher goals in terms of our worship. What do I mean by by hope and by inspiration, by hope, I mean that Allah Subhana, Allah says that the people of Jenna will be fuller to mingle overly was similar to me of hearing, there will be many of the early generation and many of the native generation, which means that the majority of people who believe in Allah will end up in Jannah. Right, regardless of their sins, or the mistakes. So this gives us hope, that the average person who

believes in La ilaha illAllah, Muhammad Rasulullah, the average believer, regardless of what sins they fall into, regardless of what bad habits of addictions they have, regardless of what weaknesses they have, they will eventually get to China. And so this is a verse of hope. On the other hand, we have the verse that says, about the macabre boon that there'll be many of the early generations a few of the later generations, this should be a verse of inspiration. This verse should inspire us to try and become from democra, born to China, and we come from those people who are close to Allah subhanho wa Taala. Now, you may ask, but you know, everyone's going to gender regardless of their

sins. Why would I want, you know, to work even harder? Well, if you want the higher agenda, a great agenda, then you go into work harder, but there's a deeper reason than this. You know, what inspires people to reach the level of Odia what inspires people to become truly pious to get truly close to Allah subhanho wa Taala. In reality, it's not the concept of Jenna and Johanna mean reality, it's not really the concept of fear or wanting reward. It stems from a much deeper place, right? These are Allah describes them as mccobb when they are close to Allah subhanho wa Taala. And that really gives us an idea of what kind of people get to the higher levels of Jenga, those who love Allah,

when someone loves Allah subhanho wa Taala, they will worship Allah, regardless of whether it is any reward for doing so or not. They will worship Allah because they love Allah because they are grateful to Allah because they want to be close to Allah, that in of itself is reward enough for them. And so to reach the higher levels of piety, we really have to focus on our relationship with Allah subhanho wa Taala. We have to ask ourselves, you know, what is my relationship with Allah? Am I someone who is close to Allah myself?

Someone who's distance from Allah. Am I someone who loves a lot? Am I someone who is grateful to Allah subhana wa Taala? Am I someone who understands the comprehends the names of Allah subhanaw taala His attributes, this is really the core quality that that differentiates the macabre boon from the average Muslim. So, these are the two lessons I want you to take a walk here The first is that Allah Subhana Allah His mercy is so great and so infinite, that the people of Jenna will be similar to mineral Oberlin was similar to me asking that both the early and later Muslims, there will be many, many, many who go to Jenna because of Allah vastness of His mercy and His forgiveness and the

fact that he is going to forgive the majority of people for the essence. And then

his inspiration as well. inspiration that we need to work to be from the macabre boundary from those who are close to Allah subhanho wa Taala and we get there by developing a closer relationship with Allah subhanho wa Taala increasing our love for Allah subhanho wa Taala and if we do so, inshallah, we can attain an even higher level, even greater reward. And of course, the greatest reward of all is Allah subhanaw taala to love us back to South Africa, Juana and

me.
