We are going to start tonight with the explanation of Sora to calf, okay, the explanation of Sora to calf and I know that a lot of us have, you know, looked through the translation,

a lot of us read suit on every Friday, and it's from the Sunnah of the Prophet so long it was send them to do them. So that's one thing good. But at the same time, what we are going to focus on in sha Allah is trying to grasp something from the surah

a connection with us right to build this bond or this connection with the source itself.

So that we can

encourage ourselves or be motivated ourselves to reassess every single Friday. So we'll begin by looking at some of the virtues or some of the benefits of this sutra. And forgive me, if you notice that I get distracted, I have these two really big flies that just keep flying around my office, I tried turning off the lights, and you know, tried to get them out of here, but they just don't want to leave. So we'll assume that these flies are here for the Hanukkah today as well.

And you probably most likely open up some notes we've got right on the middle of the chest. Okay, so that's a little trick for our youth to figure out how to find sort of a calf in the Quran. Or just remember, it's the 15th surah. Okay, so we

have the quarter urn,

and it's titled, a calf, which is the cave, right? And so the cave is right in the middle of the Quran, right, right in the middle, you find that cave there. So those are little tips and tricks to try and remember things I was learning.

Time to learn anything in life, we always try to figure out how to remember things, right. And you know, for some people, we make mental notes for other people, they use post it notes and stick things up on their walls and mirrors and screens and all over the place. Or on their desk. And for other people. They just tried to have these, you know,

like I do, I like to sort of link things to names or sounds of things on earth. And that's how I remember them. And, you know, we talked about remembering things. For example, when I save someone's number in my phone, I usually state it based on the first conversation that I had with that person or things that will stick in my mind. Oh, the first time I met this person, this is what we spoke about. So I might save a person's name as, for example, one of my friends. His name is Asad and I won't say his last name because we're live streaming.

So don't belittle the power and ability of Japan and what to add if he wants you to memorize something or he wants you to forget something or he wants us to retain something. Allah subhana wa tada has the ability to do that. Just like making that, you know, dumb mistake of saying it's the 15th surah of the Quran. It's not the 15th it's the 18th surah of the Quran, and it's found right in the middle in the 15th part of the quarter.

Okay, so why or blessings, I should say benefits of this or some of the virtues of sawtooth calf. There's a number of Hadeeth that are out there that we can mention, and we'll only stick to maybe two or three.

But without being believers, and without the message that came from a loss of habitat to Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, we can enjoy all of those blessings, but it means nothing ultimately in the end, right? So believing in Allah is absolutely important. When we believe in Allah then everything else is attributed to us and cannabinoids add as well, which allows us to continue to increase our inner strength in us as human beings that allows us to get closer to Allah subhana wa Tada. There was this huge statue, huge, huge statue, right that people worship and go to for worship. And we actually went to that area to see you know what people do and it's just filled with idols. But besides the point, I remember going there and seeing that view and enjoying it and thinking

hamdulillah we went there, and everyone is you know, who worships other than a lot, especially those who worship the idol that was there on the mountain. You know, they they focus on the idol, but also, with Hannah doesn't want us to focus on worshiping God.

You go down, you put your feet in the sand, and it's nice and it's soft. And you know, when it's too hot, then you go a little bit into the water and it cools you down. They bring me straight to the beach, and they just let me put my feet in the water in the beach, on the sand and slyke all of that, you know, cabin pressure that you just finished experiencing for 22 hours of being in the air flying to Australia is just gone. Right? It just relaxes you. And so there's blessings of a loss of heaven on

earth. But we think a law, we're recognizing those blessings and we praise a wasp, to Allah, when we recognize those blessings, and from all the greatest things that we have on earth is the thing of Islam.

And the book of Allah subhana wa tada the Quran, that guides us throughout the life that we live. And the servant of Allah Subhana which Allah Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, we live according to his life. So Allah Subhana Allah says, Alhamdulillah Allah De Anza Allah Allah abiti Hill kita Baba, when Mia is there, who are you a job. And I was like, Oh, okay. And he was like stuffing, little, you know, hot on food and he's eating this. And I remember as a kid, I was like, I remember McDonald's, like, fish burgers, maybe manana sauce was buying the fish burger, right? Maybe not. us. I was buying an ice cream. Maybe he was buying a coke. Maybe he was buying,

you know, a seven or or a bottle of water. Right? The Imam was buying something that like we should be making excuses. Right? And Allah Subhana Allah is showing us here that sometimes, you know, as human beings, you know,

years go on, years pass. And we might hold the grudge and says, Oh, you know, I remember when I was young when Ana saga was eating haraam stuff, right? But really was was the chef, was the man eating hot on stuff. We don't know the person who saw him just the old McDonald's emails.

But why? Maybe they were eating something that's hidden from there, maybe there is something that's permissible that they were purchasing and buying, maybe they were just asking directions and how to how to go from place to place, right? Because that was at a time we're talking about like 1994 95, right? We didn't have these GPS like we have today. We didn't have you know, guidance right on your on your watches kind of light on things, showing you where to go and how to get from place to place where you just talked to it and it tells you Okay, turn left, go right, go

to the left, as the years go by, we might look back and say yeah, but if you only asked so 20 years later, you come to this share for this number and you say you know, brother so until I saw you eating McDonald's,

McDonald's like Oh, he saw you in the drive thru You know, you're in so and so place and he's like, Oh, yeah, you know, I was super thirsty and I stopped to get a bottle of water and I figured out buy coffee as well and you know, make my way. Oh,

someone spread rumors for 20 years. And so understanding the context of what is happening is important and that's important when understanding the Quran Allah says within the level of a ledger, there's no there's no, no crookedness in it is very simple, very easy to understand, but we need to try to understand it as well. There are people who want to earn

Find problems within it. And they don't want to learn. They want to just study the Quran to find the problems within it. There's no problems in the Quran. And the problem really is that they themselves create these contradictions. They themselves will say certain things like oh this doesn't match with that. How can you say this? How can you say that? We have to understand everything in its context. also understand how it was revealed but also try to understand how to apply the Quran. There are some

things that may be mentioned in the end that don't apply to us now. For example, you get a car

do not put the car in park.

You mean do not put the car in park. Like don't shift the transmission into Park. So you read that like Oh, don't put the transmission to the park. Okay, fine. So you never put your car in park you get home with this brand new car you put in your driveway and you leave it in Drive, you turn it off, or you put it in neutral and you turn it off or you put it in reverse and you turn it off we're talking about an automatic transmission now. Now first off, you know most of the new cars they will by default go straight into you know, Park, but

the user's manual was not saying don't put the car in park period. It was saying don't put the car in park while driving at high speeds because you've damaged the transmission. Okay? So you need to come to a full stop and then put the car park but people didn't someone didn't read you didn't read the whole sentence you stopped right there. He said don't put the car park Okay, don't put the car park.

But Allah Subhana Allah is saying something completely different in the Quran. And so there's people who will study the Quran to take bits and pieces like this cut and paste and put it together to try and make it seem as though the plan says this and that when in reality, they have fully understood what the Quran says and what also can without it is trying to say there and so he says when a major Allah has no contradictions, no loopholes, no crookedness within the

The problem is that we're not living according to how our Creator taught us to live. And so that's absolutely important for us, right? issues and tension between the Muslims and or the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and the Jewish that are living there. And so they send another email, Hadith and orkla.

To the Jewish rabbis that are living within Medina

and they told them the Quran told the two of them,

and describe him to them.

and tell them what he is saying. So

tell us about Mohammed. Describe Mohammed to us. What is he saying to you guys? What is he telling you guys here in Medina, you know what, what type

And we have come to us so that you can tell us about this companion of ours. So he's from us, as in, he's from them. He's from the kurush. And they're like, we've come here to ask you about this person who's from us, but he now lives with you.

So the Jewish they said,

Ask him about three things, which we will tell you to ask.

And if he answers them, then he is a prophet.

Okay, if he answers these, he's a prophet who has been sent, of course, by a lot by God. If he does not, then he is saying things that are not true. In which case, how you deal with him will be up to you.

Right? Like, tell you about these three things, go and ask him. If he tells you the truth about them. He's truly a messenger, a prophet sent from God, if he doesn't answer them, or he answers them incorrectly, right? Because remember, they have the knowledge of this, right? They understand it, it's in their scripture, it's in their tradition.

They say go and ask him. And if he's not telling the truth, or he's wrong, and you know, you can do with him however you want.

So they said, this is the first thing, okay? Ask him about some young men in ancient times. What was their story? write these young men in ancient times, it was their story.

for theirs is strange and wondrous tale.

Second thing is, ask him about a men who traveled a great deal, and reached the East End, the west of the earth, is Panama. Now when you think of it, we've gone east and west multiple times around the world, right? But they're saying ask him about a men who's traveled so much, that he reached Far East and he reached Far West, he's traveled the world.

What is his story?

And thirdly, they say, ask him about the ruler, the ruler, the spirit, the soul,

what is it,

get him to basically explain to you what is the soul what is a ruler,

if he tells you about these things, then he is a prophet.

So follow him.

But if he does not tell you, then he is a man who is making things up to deal with him, however you see fit.

So they asked him the three things and he said, I'll the answer to this tomorrow.

All right. I won't tell you tomorrow next week. I'll tell you now inshallah. So he says, I will tell you tomorrow, but what about what you've asked me, right. Whatever you've asked me about you the answer to it tomorrow.

did not say, if Allah wills he did not see in sha Allah.

So they went to a lesser of a loss and a longer either he was lm stayed for 15 days without the revelation from Allah subhanho wa Taala. Concerning the matters that he was questioned about

13 days past, the next day, he told them come to me tomorrow, I'll tell you, I'll tell you tomorrow, but he didn't say in sha Allah if Allah wills, and then he came, and the next day left, the second day came, and that day that third day came, and that day that the fourth day came in that day, that's the fifth day 15 days go by.

And gibreel did not come to the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, the people of mcus to doubt the Prophet salallahu alaihe salam and said Muhammad promised to tell us the next day. And now 15 days have gone by, and he has not told us anything in response to the questions that we asked.

He's not told us anything in response to the questions that he that we've asked the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam felt sad because of the delay in the revelation, and was grieved by what the people of mother were saying about. Then gibreel angel came to him from Allah subhanho wa Taala with the surah about the companions of

this Surah Surah Touka. So God Allah Hassan came to him with surah two calf

which also contained,

you know, a rebuke for the feeling for feeling sad about the idol worshippers, right, the feelings of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam about them refusing to accept the message. The suta also told him about the things they asked him about the young men and the traveler.

And so these things are, both of them are mentioned here in the soil. And with regards to the roof, that was actually mentioned in verse number 85, of similar to the previous Surah 17 to verse number 85, or loss of habitat as as well as under one roof. Right? And they asked you concerning the door, with a room in America, right, say that the rule is, you know, from the command of Allah subhana wa Tada. So with regards to the room, the soul that was mentioned in sort of, verse number 85, the previous slot, and the story of the traveler and the story of the young men, the cave that is mentioned here in the surah of the cave. And

then Allah Subhana Allah says, we'll take two more at three more inshallah, for

your own sake erina.
