The Rightly Guided Caliphs #05 – Abu Bakr As-Siddiq RA #4

Salam Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh Alhamdulillah wa salatu salam ala Rasulillah brothers and sisters Today is lesson number four on the

stories are the lessons from the lives of the Four Rightly Guided caliphs. The Khalifa has. So this is lesson number four and we've already talked a lot introduction and so on and so forth and definitions. Once again, go to the crystal mosque website or the Facebook page. So today insha Allah We continue the life of the great companion Abu Bakr, Radi Allahu anhu, the first successor of the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam which makes him the first nonprofit leader of the Muslim world. Before I begin, for those of you who are new here, my dear brothers and sisters, I

want you to understand that you as a Muslim, you belong to a big, huge, huge body. There is nothing like this body. It's called the OMA the OMA. It has the word own which means mother, and Omar means the believing community of the world. And when you say whom, which means mother, it's as if the prophet peace be upon him or Allah is calling us in the Quran. We are brothers and sisters from different backgrounds in different places, as if we are encompassed by one another, our own source. So when you say I am a Muslim, I belong to the Ummah of Muhammad Sallallahu wasallam. Some historians describe us as the sleeping giant, the sleeping giant, and this is the Islamic empire

which spread the the largest known empire to the modern world is the Islamic empire and the sixth largest in the world's history.

1300 years of that, so inshallah you can read more about that insha Allah Allah so that you can be proud of your identity at the moment, as we say historians call us the sleeping giant, but our own man never dies and 100 in there. So you are just you are not just anybody in this world, you are a Muslim who belongs to a huge body, and it will return insha Allah the Islamic empire will return as it was before. And as many even non Muslim historians who understand the history They'll call us call the the the Islamic empire, a large part of it called the Golden Age from which most of the advancement technology and modern day things that people use around the world

are from the Muslim world. Anyway, let's move on insha Allah to the sources, the people who built by the will of Allah, this is amazing Islamic empire and how they advanced. We're going to learn more about a Muslim is not just somebody who lives inside of a mosque and prays all day. A Muslim is not just in Ramadan. A Muslim is not just the person who goes to Mecca, a pilgrim and wears humble quotes. This is part of the religion. But actually Islam is community. Its advancement. It's working together programs, plans, management, political and private, public and private, political and personal. My brothers and sisters. Islam is everything we live by in this world. So let's look at

Abu Bakr Radi Allahu Anhu and go from there. Last week we spoke about Abu Bakr Delano how he was elected as the new qlf, the new successor of the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and I can't repeat all the reasons and the wisdoms and the signs that called for Abu Bakr the Lama to be the Khalifa you'd have to review the past lectures. We stopped at the point where Abu Bakr Radi Allahu Allah who went out to the people, and before he assumed the member, the member of the Prophet sallallahu wasallam, they have to clean up the member and tell the people that he is the new Khalifa and address them. He had to go to the people of the city first, and he had to make sure that all of

them accepted him as the Khalifa there were only a few Muslims still in Medina. And they were the Sahaba as the companions of the Prophet peace be upon him, and he said out loud in public I have been elected the Khalifa by notable men of yours notable people that you all, you know, respect that he named them, do you accept me to be the Khalifa and all of them said with one voice, we accept you Oh Abu Bakr. He already was, you know, qualified, and his stage was set. There was only one person and his wife, who hesitated in coming out to blit pledge allegiance to Abu Bakr Radi Allahu Anhu and they were none other than the great ally of the Allah Allah, Allah. Prophet peace be upon his first cousin, and the first month

To the child in Islam, one of the temperaments paradise and one of the Four Rightly Guided Kelly's amazing men that we, that you know, each of us wish we were here on his chest. That's how amazing he was living alone. And his wife, the Great, the perfect, the beautiful, the amazing, the great, Fatima Zahra are the Allahu anha they stay for six months, not coming out to pledge allegiance to Abu Bakr galana. a division happened in Islam politically as time went on, and it turned into a religion or some practices in certain beliefs within Islam, so I highly doubt the Allah Guan

She was one of the people who inherited

as the Quran stated and she was right about that, that the Quran states inheritance.

So she, when she asked for this inheritance, Abu Bakr Radi Allahu Anhu said, No, you can't take any of the inheritance after the prophets Allah has done

and she got upset, not understanding what the situations

because the Quran said sir.

And for a little while, she was also very sad of the loss of the Father, the Prophet sallallahu wasallam. Extremely she was extremely in deep grief.

So people backed off her and and understood her situation

under the law and also stood by his wife.

Having the Quran said this, they should get the inheritance Why would plus the Blissett land and the property

later on, when they gave a walk or go on a chance to talk? He quoted to them the Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu wasallam which is an authentic hadith that we have till today that the Prophet peace be upon him said in NL MBS LM you were referred to determine whether the neuron were in ML one roughly,

When added to the land, Fatima heard about this hadith, they relaxed and accepted and they stopped talking about the inheritance. But that's not all. It's not the only reason why they also hesitated. Another reason is that either their loved one was a little bit upset that since he is the cousin of the Prophet sallallahu sallam, and a very important one, indeed, why couldn't they have waited for him to come and have a say in

who the next Halifa will be? He is not against the book or the alone he loves him. In fact, in one of his children after, however, I laid out the Allah Guan who wanted to have a position that he is worthy of to be among the shorter committee. And he's one of the perfect one of the perfect women of the world. So nobody wanted to hurt 14 Madonna's feelings, or Oliver their loved one. But when 14 or their loved one had passed away,

argue that their loved one felt the pressure come off him in relation to standing by his wife side. And then a new pressure came on him. And that is the people, the people started changing towards him. They got their loved one.

These are from the Sunni sources, of course. And

they started to look at him differently. Like why are you delaying? Golly, we understood that your wife was alive, you're standing by her, we gave you all this. But now it's different. And the law knew that he should come out. So he came out and met with Abu Bakr the Lovato in the message.

And he said to him,

he said it in front of people, most honest one, he's Oliver the longest calling a worker. Oh, so we admit your superiority, we do not desire to compete with you over the position Allah has given you. So he made it clear. It's not about our limit the amount of doesn't want leadership. Because he knows the prophets, Allah Selim said, Whoever seeks leadership, don't give it to him. Because it's not about power. It's about responsibility.

And even America didn't ask for it was put on him.

But you rushed, he says, but you're rushed before we could have a say in the matter. And as relatives of the Prophet, we thought of some right,

to the left for also, meaning we could be a candidate, because I'm a cousin of the Prophet, Allah salah. Let the people decide.

And the people did decide anyway, a walk around who started to cry.

And he said to Ali, the Allah Allah, by the one who possesses my soul in his hand, to connect ties with the relatives of the Messenger of Allah is more beloved to me than to connect the ties of my own blood relatives.

Now, be careful, you're talking about a man in the process, and I've said is a severe, he is absolutely truthful, by the tongue of the Prophet sallallahu sallam, and mentioned in the Quran. So he's not manipulating or making up words, he's absolutely honest in what he says. Then he said, As for the wealth, wealth left behind him, in front of the people, I did not desire except goodness out of it. And I cannot put your request above a matter which I saw the Messenger of Allah do, except that I would do what he did.

So he did what the President told him to do. And that is, profits Do not leave wealth as inheritance. It's not allowed for the profits. They leave knowledge inheritance for the people.

At that point, I think that their loved one was satisfied. You see, let me tell you something, not everybody heard from the Prophet peace be upon him the same words, we actually now have more Hadees compiled in one book than what the Sahabas got to in their lifetime. And he they slowly got towards so somehow this weren't really there yet, and then they would hear it. By the time their death came, they knew it all. So anyway, I knew them I was satisfied that Aisha I knew that their loved one and Abu Bakr both spoke in front of the worshipers again, and clarified the misunderstanding, and the Holy put his hand out and pledged allegiance to Abu Bakr Radi Allahu Anhu publicly,

no issue.

And this misunderstanding is normal. It can even happen between the companions. But you see their intention, when they dispute it is different to the majority of us today when we dispute over leadership or power, big difference. Big difference within the sun and the moon, for their intentions are always to serve Islam. The fact that Oliver Delano said the cousin of the Prophet peace be upon him meaning maybe the people would like to see the cousin there. So that disunity will not happen later on. Maybe I was thinking about different circumstances for the OMA and I was thinking about different circumstances for the Ummah, both of them in the right direction, but both

of them with a different opinion, nothing personal, nothing for themselves. Nothing because of power, fame, or fortune, Allahu Akbar to say that about it for the Lord, to say that about a worker or any of them is like it's all

was blasphemy to talk about because the Quran and the prophets are Salah vouched for both of them, putting them up on high pedestals? How dare we talk down upon the companions of the prophets, Allah Senlin, whom ALLAH chose to be around him. It's it's, it just boggles the mind. So we love all the Companions, some above others but all of them were companions of the Prophet Allah salah, who are the best generation ever to be. My dear brothers and sisters, let's move on.

The next thing I will talk about the Allah one who did, in fact, the first thing he did when he became the Khalifa.

It's interesting.

The Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. Just before he died, he had prepared an army

an army of Muslims to go where to go to Syria. To face the Romans, the Byzantines. Remember we said last time there was the present tense came to fight with the Muslims and Hamdulillah he went without winning, and there was still a threat from them. And they had killed one of the companions fathers. The Companions name was Lucerna had been Zaid will sama the son of Zaid was that he had killed his father. Abu Bakr, the Allah and who came and prepared this army and wants to continue. Before I say anything about that, the point I want to make about this brothers sisters, before anything.

Look how important the words of the Prophet sallallahu sallam,

and word to these companions. They did not question anything if it was authentic from the mouth of the prophet. He prepared this army, no questions asked. Against all odds. The Messenger of God said it. Who are you or me to even use or dare to use our own opinions against his words, if they are clear cut,

unfortunately, happens a lot today. People are even questioning, you know, authentic Hadees from first law Salem with their logic, thinking.

There are even people giving their own interpretations with no knowledge

of a book or their loved one who comes up and gets this Osama and says the expedition has to happen. Do you know how old Osama was anyone?

He was 16 years old. And maybe 17 You let it go? 16. What can a 16 year old do leading the whole army as a commander going to fight? At that point though? We're the superpower of the world. The Byzantines. You might be wondering, why would the Pratap Abu Bakr said I'm sending him as a commander, the nearly the entire community of Muslims including the homebuyer, or the Hola, Juan,

they opposed of working with a loan. They said how could you send a little basically a

almost a child who's got no you know, he's just, it's just a tent, you know, 16 years old, still very young. In those days, I didn't call them teenagers, there was no such word. This is a new word, teenager.

I don't like that word. We're just forced to use it. Because it kind of babies people don't. Like you're not a man, be not a child, but you're a teenager. And then society allows you to do certain adults things with certain other adult things. You're not allowed. For example, you're allowed to 16 have a girlfriend or a boyfriend, you can do everything a married couple does. You can have kids, the girl could go to the hospital, get an abortion, and kill a child.

But Oh, how cute is the boyfriend and girlfriend? That's cute.

They're only kids SubhanAllah. But they're not allowed to get married by law.

You know, this is morally wrong. Really. I think even though you know, it's illegal to get married under 18 year in Australia, but I'm just saying that how society has changed. That there's there's all this contradiction double standards. And I think that young people today, unfortunately, they are not ready. If you're too young, not ready for marriage, because the society community has made you you know, things around I mean, some of those aid.

He wasn't just anybody who was trustworthy, honest. He was experienced. He was trained. He was taught by the prophets, Allah Salam he read, he wrote, he memorized the ask.

It wasn't just somebody who was sitting on the PlayStation, or on tick tock and Instagram and sharing flimsy things and making it like it's the world

today, may Allah subhanaw taala wake our youth up and help them and, you know, we need to help them a lot. We need to guide them as much as we can, but

I do know a young youth who Masha Allah very mature, I would advise you young people, you can be much more mature and skilled than what you think my first advice is read a lot.

Not Tiktok reading, not means read, grab any book, good book, read about business, read about finance, read about medicine, read about animals, read about the trees, read about anything Read,

read and learn about life. Try new things that so long as the millennia.

If you can work on the holidays, work gets some experience.

Respect your parents and take responsibility. Don't let them do things for you.

Tell the mom and dad I'm going to try and spend my own money try you try and do it. Learn about savings, learn about spending, learn about responsibility as much as can boys and girls.

You know, and I think and surely young people can mature up pretty well. And I know some of the students at the school I teach some much more mature than others men, I look at them. And I think Man, if they just had an income right now,

they can easily get married. I've seen 3040 year olds who've got no clue. It's not the age. It's rather the experience, the knowledge, the

you know, the maturity.

Just the society, the ages, you know when you're 16 side has made you very mature. But if you travel the world, man, there are 15 year olds.

They are so ready to take on

you know entire families and look after children everything.

Anyway, I'll just get back to my topic insha Allah. In those days, young people were very mature, and they were trained with Sam Adams aid. They all oppose them and then Abu Bakr the Allah and who said

Wallahi I will not stop an expedition. All the leadership of Osama as a commander when the Prophet Muhammad Salah Salem himself prepared it and it was about to send him I will not change your hair about it. Oh, my God came up to him and said,

We just found out there are people leaving Islam, there are plasticizing they're leaving Islam. There are people who converted in a place called nudged. And I don't know what that there's this guy named Salem. He's now saying he's a prophet, and his gathering people and people are leaving Islam and following him his gathering an army against us.

You got to look after that. First of all, we're gonna leave leave this expedition. And Abu Bakr refused.

I will not refuse what the prophet prepared. Who were you to tell me about Mr. Salah prepared, I'm gonna stop it never, against all odds. I don't care if you told me an asteroid is gonna hit the Earth. We're sending.

And he truly did. And that will law he had so much benefit. He made all the tribes of people around respect the Muslim, this new commander, Abu Bakr, and the Muslims around Him, those who thought of leaving Islam could see oh my god, these truly have power, they're going to face the biggest superpower, the Byzantines, let's stick by them because there's some people converted to Islam that were weak. They're going should we should we not? And although we're thinking about is do we get anything out of it? Is there power? Are they going to protect us and they keep converted to Islam insincerely a lot of them started to do that. So when they saw this power, they stuck with the

Muslims, and some of them became stronger Muslims afterwards. And it put fear in the enemies because they thought up with the Prophets death is no more religion, these guys are going to fail Abu Bakr to the softy, they finished when I saw this, and at the hands of the commander who's 16 years old, and they were victorious. At least they didn't lose, they went to came back and Oh, victorious. Wow, that just lifted the morale of the Muslims. And the people around them respected them even more. So there's always wisdom behind the prophets word, even if right now you cannot see it. I'll give you a very quick example. I want to get through some really good material, but I just want to bring it to

something really nice that I read. So I'm into science a lot. I like reading scientific articles and things I'd like to compare it with what the promise of SLM said, and see what modern modern science says and medical science. So

once you know I knew the Hadith of the Prophet, Allah said and that if a fly lands in your meal, do not throw the meal away. He said, he said, If the fly lands in your meal and dies, dip the fly into the meal and then just take that portion, that little portion around out with the fly and throw it out and eat the rest of the meal for in one part of it or a wing or it has many interpretations. So one part of the fly there is the bacteria, the bad bacteria that causes you harm. And in the other part is the anti bacteria it kills

Is the bacteria that it gathered? And

there's I started looking Pamela into new studies and about I think was 2010 2009. I found a study Subhanallah in the Scientific American, and now Scarlett's on BBC is, it's in a lot of scientific articles that they wonder they asked the question, how's the fly land in all the dirty stuff feces, toilets, everything, and yet it still survives, why? How can it survive? It must have an antidote, an antibody inside of it, we can probably find a way to extract this antibody from it. Antibiotic will antibody and we can perhaps

engineer it to put it in humans against

deadly diseases that we don't have a cure for such as hepatitis and all of that stuff. And subhanAllah they said, but how do we extract this antibody from the fly Wallah, he references this. They said the only and easiest most efficient way is to dip the flies in liquid and then we extract it from the liquid

because inside it's all its body. And the study is still going on now. Soba Karasu, Allah is Allah Azza wa sallam is truthful

and I remember in that Tony Robbins saying look at these Muslims, we told you they're dirty. We told you they don't know anything. Look how backward they are Subhanallah

that is not true at all. These people are very ignorant of what Islam and Muslim civilization really is. Let's move on inshallah.

When I was sent this expedition, I want you to also memorize this. There were rules of law. You don't just go and pillage and kill everybody. Abu Bakr their loved one. Also as a leader, watch how he treated Osama the young 16 year old a book of the law no at this point

is well over is 63 years old, 62 years old.

He takes Osama who was 16.

And he walks with him to the exit gate of Medina.

And he says to him Oh sir,

may I ask your permission that I stay behind to look after the affairs of the Muslims. The Emir of the movement in the Khalifa is asking permission from this young boy 16 years old, to allow him to stay behind out of respect for who for the prophets of Allah they will send them

the prophesies and put them to the commander. Now he is big in the eyes of Abu Bakr. Secondly, Abu Bakr gives respect to the people whom he has given responsibility. So they can feel that they have a say they're in charge. They're important. We don't put our children down. If we want to teach them. We don't put our students down. If we want to teach them. We make them feel big, where it is deserving. And we highlight it and watch that child growth. Watch the child respect you and love you.

My brothers and sisters, then he said to him, oh, Santa, let me give you a horse to ride on the aboubaker he said Wallah, he will walk with my feet.

I refuse. He said, But you are not Mini and ride on a horse. He said, Well, Allah he will not accept either of the two. What's wrong with a bit of dust on my feet in the Cause of Allah. Every step one walks in the cause of God gets 700 rewards.

You see what they're after?

That's what the companions are after.

He's thinking about the hereafter and his leadership position is not about this world. This is about his hereafter. In fact, it's a burden on him.

My brothers and sisters have worked with a man who stopped Osama and gave them the following orders. Listen to them. He said, Listen, everyone. Be not dishonest.

Do not deceive anyone.

Do not hide the spoils you get. Do not mutilate anyone's body. Do not kill the age. The children and the women. Do not set fire to date palms or trees. Do not cut down fruit trees. Do not slaughter a goat or a cow or a camel except for purpose of food. Also, you will come across people who have given up the world and are sitting in monasteries. They are like monks, monks sitting in their little monsters doesn't matter what religion they are. He said, Leave them alone.

Do you see my dearest sisters the rules of war in Islam?

Is this an army who has come out to the world to convert the world by the sword

or to kill everybody

with such rules of war that have been set

and have been enabled

inside our entire texts, books and religion.

Only the people who are fighting them

That's it. And if they lay arms they'll lay out.

My brothers and sisters, such was the expedition and now I move on to something else.

When the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Sallam died, the week Muslims around who sought power and fortune and all that stuff, and nationalism and tribalism,

they started to use the Prophet's death as an excuse to leave Islam.

That's number one. Number two, they were a people in a place called Nash.

The name is not important, the nasties. But in those days, as I told you, there was a man who said he is a prophet is Allah, his name was Muslim. And we call him till today even the non Muslim historians call him will say lemma the liar will say live and

that's how the prophets Allah and upholding. Now he started showing up at the time of the Prophet peace be upon him before he died by a few years. And at the time of the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him was Salem, and he came to the Prophet Mohammed Salah Salem visiting. And he said to him,

a messenger of God, I believe you're the messenger of God, but only on one condition, I will practice the religion, I will lead the people in Islam exactly as you want on one condition, that after you die, you pass on your prophet hood to me, I want to be the Prophet.

But also Salah salem said never

prophethood is from Allah and you are Elia.

And among other things, cutting the story short, will say never went back to his people in nudged. And he made up a lie. He said, The Prophet Muhammad said that prophethood is a partnership between me and him on one and he's one.

And he started to make up verses like, well, he tricked the people thinking they are versus like the way the Prophet received verses from the Quran.

I'll come back to him shortly.

This guy manipulated a lot of people.

And among the nasty people and others around them, one of the first things they wanted to stop so the first thing was leaving Islam because they wanted their desires.

And the second one, that is a cat, they stopped paying the Zakat. In Islam, there's no tax system. This only is account, and Sadako. This account is for the poor people of the citizens, poor people. And if no poor citizens are there, we give it outside

2.5% of your saved up wealth, which is left over for a whole year, nothing.

The cat was compulsory and this is how the community survived. They stopped paying zakat.

To this they didn't understand the spirit of Islam but the power just want power.

And the most people were known to be highway robbers outlaws in Arabia.

And what the what Abu Bakr Radi Allahu Anhu did. He said this is economic greed from you people.

Still,

the elites among them pocketed the money.

And what I call it, I don't know if you guys have studied political science and all that stuff. Well, in today's world, you would call it an oppressive form of capitalism, and hierarchical imperialism. So the words are new, but the actions were always there, from the beginning of time.

So these people, they wanted to follow this false prophet, and stop paying zakat stop following Islam, they knew he was a liar. But so long as he gave them what they want, it

reminds me of these fake celebrity people

that go on there and they trick a lot of our brothers and sisters. And then when the money gets more and more, they leave them for dead

have heard of what we call hijab influences. They lift the spirit of our sisters who wear the hijab and say wow, there's a connection in my system. I love it Where have you been hiding all your life? And then suddenly they take the hijab off all those words then change and start making up new words. I do me you do you it's how I always want to just words that really aren't of interest. I call them verbal gymnastics, just all over the place a salad of words

and many others I'm not just talking about them so anyway, let's move on. Be careful who you follow and take as your role model and celebrity guys. These influencers they're making

a lot of money off you and I tricky many of them, not all of them, many of them. Anyway, the point is, this is one of the guys must say

About 1300 years ago, man,

they've always existed these people, but more sailor man just use a different tactic he tried to because the people were interested in Quran and words and poetry. He was a poet and a magician. He mixed poetry with magic or sorcery words, and he came up with strange words, I'm gonna say some of them to you later you're gonna laugh your head off. And people just thought that's enough for us. We'll follow it because it fits our desire. And today we live in a world of desire Wallahi the justifications people make they bring Quranic verses, they interpreted the way they want, I look and I think, oh my god, really people believe that. But then I look on it's true. People are they're

ignorant.

You know, all they have to do is play on some Arabic words, how many people know Arabic in the West? How many people even know the Quran. So when we move away from that, we get tricked, and anyone can come up and say whatever they want.
