The month of Muharram, one of the sacred months of Islam is this month.

They stand out because ALLAH SubhanA wa Taala specifically more than any other month, has prohibited injustice, volume in them.

Even the pre Islamic Arabs understood that fact even though they may not have always followed it, but they understood that when you come into the month of Muharram, or any other sacred month, that is a time that is special to Allah azza wa jal meaning do not transgress in it against yourselves against your own self, but also against your brothers and sisters against anyone else. The origin conflicts between nations, the origin of conflicts between families, within the family is sin.

And if you take sin away, the shaytaan has no power over you. Right shaytaan has no power over you if you take the sin away.

So if a Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is telling you fast thing, the day of Ashura will forgive the sins of the past year. seize that opportunity to fix what needs to be fixed in your life.

Fast with that intention, I have so many sins, some I know some I have forgotten about.

My angels will not forget. And above all of that Allah subhanho wa Taala is not going to forget you want Allah to take these sins away. For his fasting of one day, Allah can take the sins away of an entire year. That is,

just to motivate you. But now as you're going through the day, I want to ask you and you should ask yourself, what is it that you're supposed to learn from it? What lessons are in the day of Ashura?

There's that day Subhan Allah

was not many significant only for Muslims, or only for the Jews.

In a sense, it had this universal significance.

When the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam was in Mecca, before migration to Medina. And that is a connection of iman.

He felt and he knew what it means to stand up for Allah azza wa jal for justice for the truth, and to be attacked because of it to be harmed because of it. He recognized in the struggle of Musa alayhis salam, his own struggle, and you will recognize in it your own struggle against the shaytaan and the helpers of the shaytaan. That is your own celebration. The victory of iman then is the victory of Eman today and that is the bond of iman that I am talking about. That is one lesson of Ashura. The one that you see walking in the street and you're looking down on to because you think he's less educated, he has a different color. He has an accent, he could be in a Li, he could be in the highest levels of Jannah. And you could be because of that disdain and hellfire. So fear Allah azza wa jal, so when it comes to Ashura, remember this lesson?

The other significant lesson of Ashura

is that if you champion Allah, Allah will champion you for sure.

If you stand up for Allah azza wa jal, Allah will stand up for you.

If you sacrifice for the sake of Allah, Allah will vindicate you.

And that deserves thanks. And that deserves remembrance. And that deserves that we repeat the story, at least the moral of the story of Musa alayhis salaam to our children, go back Insha Allah, tonight or tomorrow and talk to your children and ask them, Do you know why you're fasting this day? Let me tell you why. And share with them the struggle of Musa alayhis salam.

We've read it so many times that we've actually have failed or we fail at times to appreciate it. You go to a people who are enslaved

Every time you pray before you sleep, when you wake up, there's always something that you can do, but Allah must look at you and say, This person loves me and is taking steps towards me. And if you stay, take steps towards Allah azza wa jal, Allah will run towards you. And if Allah sees that we are collectively taking steps towards him, what do you think the most generous al Karim will do? What do you think that our Rahim

will do? What do you think the most powerful will do? Will he abandon you when you rush to him, he will be next to you and he will champion you. And if you call upon Him, He will answer you. And it will happen again. By the will of Allah azza wa jal we have no doubt about it. Just change your attitude change your heart, change your life, and be that worthy recipient of the victory of Allah azza wa jal to ask you all about Al Amin to help us and make us of those who will fast the day of Ashura and to accept that fasting from us and to teach us the lessons of the day of Ashura. You Allah we ask you to make us have certainty in your promises, certainty that you will champion those who will champion you, You Allah makers of those who champion you on champion your religion, and your Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, You Allah, we ask you to make us of those whom
