So, what we need to realize is we need to fast not just by abstaining from food and drink, but also abstaining from looking that which is wrong, hearing that which is wrong, saying that which is wrong, working towards that which is wrong, using our body and our mind for that which is wrong.

So when we abstain from all these wrongs, and then on the contrary, we need to ensure that we use our eyes in that which is good, meaning reading the Quran, looking and reading some nice, you know, literature related to that which is closer which takes us closer to Allah subhanaw taala and we should talk that which is good, we should hear that which is good. And this is how we make our qualities as a fasting person beautiful and fruitful. May Allah subhanahu wa taala help us all to understand the concept of fasting, so that we may program towards that which is good and beautiful.
