Signs of The Day of Judgement

Before we begin today's clip, I just want to take a minute and appreciate the blessings of Allah subhanaw taala watching the rain fall out of these 15 foot windows or more. When it rains, he would actually go out into the rain, and he would remove whatever was on his head, and he would allow the rain to actually touch upon his head sal Allahu alayhi wa salam, and he would rub it on his chest and his neck and the areas that were exposed, seeking the blessing of, of the rain. about one of the most fundamental pillars of our faith. And that is the day of judgment. We know that in Islam, there are six pillars of faith or Cannell. Eman, these are different from the pillars of Islam. And these one of these is that they have Judgment. Allah subhanaw taala says something in the Quran about this particular pillar that is instructive for us to consider. And we've talked before many times about how the idea of accountability in the afterlife is something the strongest single motivator that gets you to act right in this world. And we merely need to go out onto the street in Utica or the Mohawk Valley to see when people cease to believe, even for a second in that accountability that's coming at the end

of our individual lives, and at the end of communal human life, that what people will do if they don't think that they're going to be held accountable. But the true question is, if this is such an important part of Islam, if this is such a pillar of our faith, how much do we really know about it? If it's Allah subhanaw taala calls it a pillar, or if we in Islam take it to be a pillar, then we have a duty to inform ourselves about it as much as we possibly can, so that we appreciate and have further certainty in this great pillar of our religion.

When it comes to the Day of Judgment, there are signs that indicate when the day of judgment is supposed to take place. However, it is from a loss of power to others wisdom, that the exact date and time of the day of judgment or the end of the world is hidden from us. And that hamdulillah compared to other religion, we have been saved. If you look at the classical scholars, Muslim scholars throughout the 1400 years of Islamic scholarship, we don't have the sort of y2k conspiracy theories where people are saying, Oh, that world is going to end on this day or on that day. We know from the beginning like Allah subhanaw taala says in the Quran, that this is something that is

hidden from us on purpose, and it's hidden from us. The purpose why it is hidden from us, is indicated in a hadith of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam when somebody came to the Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam and asked him, when is the hour going to be? Right? It's a million dollar question that everybody wants to know. When is the world gonna end? When's it gonna go down? And the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam responded to him. Because he was there with his son. There's two narrations, one of them. He says, When this one grows up to be your age, your hour will already have come. That's his first response. And another narration, he responds, what have you prepared for it?

Which shows us that our orientation towards this fundamental pillar of our faith, the Day of Judgment isn't supposed to be trying to look into YouTube videos and the Illuminati and when's it going to happen and this sign and no, the point is, what have you prepared for it? What is our preparation? Like? Does our preparation indicate that we're actually ready for this thing to happen? That being said, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam did tell us of some of the signs that would become apparent

As we move closer and closer to the end of days, the day of judgment, and those signs can be divided into two categories, we have major signs of the Day of Judgment. And then we have minor signs. The difference between the two is that the minor signs of the Day of Judgment, they some of them have already happened. And they do not happen in quick succession, right that there's a long time period in between the different minor signs of the Day of Judgment, so no one has to exactly panic, that some of them have already taken place. The major signs on the other hand, they're like a chain of dominoes. Once one of them starts, the rest of them happen in quick succession. And that's when you

know that the thing is really going to come to an end. So let's talk about some of the signs some of the minor signs of the Day of Judgment. One of them was the mission of the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa salam himself, the Prophet alayhi salatu salam would say on multiple occasions, blu rays to enter wasa to CAHA team. Other inversions. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam indicated that disrespect for parents would become widespread in a way that we had never seen before in history, he sets up Allahu alayhi wa sallam, either whether that's an AMA or a Betty ha. Not just physical calamities and worldly calamities, but the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam told us that one of the minor signs of the Day of Judgment is that doubts and confusion would reign and would spread. He also said in other Hadith, I won't quote them here that indecency will become widespread and will become public, and that the situation will become so bad that a person will wish that they had been born in another time or even had been already deceased.

Brothers and sisters, the Day of Judgment is no joke. page, or we take it as something that is meant for our own moral edification and to wake us up and to prepare just as the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said to the person who came to him that asked him, when is this the hour going to be? And he replied, What have you prepared for it?
