The speakers discuss the need for divine audits to determine if there is a genuine revelation about one's behavior. They argue that individuals need to be able to confirm their own actions and that there is a need for a legal audit to determine what is good and what is bad. They also mention the need for a Public audit to determine what is good and what is not.

			A lot of people today they say, you know, you don't need religion to be a good person. And this is
backwards. And it's funny, because how are you going to decide what's good? without religion? Right?
You can't decide what's good or define what's good without divine guidance. I mean, let's say this,
you can define it however you want. But we're going to always disagree, we're always going to
disagree about what is good, you know, is is good, just simply pursuit of leisure and the pursuit of
happiness or property or, you know, accumulating wealth? Or is it sacrifice? Is it the development
of virtue and the cultivation of virtue? Is it you know, all of these sorts of things, you know,

00:00:38 --> 00:01:19
			there's a reason why people have sort of disagreed about this so vehemently for centuries and
centuries, because you need an arbiter, right? You need some sort of decisive statement about what
is good and what is not. And the assumption is that and this is an enlightenment assumption or
assumption that comes from the enlightenment, that we'd be able to use our reason and just figure
out what's good, right? What's good is what draws pleasure to us. And what's bad is what is painful,
right? Well, what about bearing a child? Right? What about being a martyr? What about, you know,
sacrifice, right? So there's no possible way to conclude what is good. If you're just going to leave

00:01:19 --> 00:01:53
			it up to human reason, and human culture and these sorts of things, we're always going to disagree.
And so actually, quote, unquote, religion, I'd like to call it the truth is actually really, really
important. Because if we can verify that something comes from the Divine, some sort of communication
from the Divine, which we call revelation, if we can verify that this is actually genuine
revelation, not phony revelation, because anybody can claim anything. And we can verify that this
revelation hasn't changed and hasn't been tampered with and contaminated and you know, manipulated
by by human beings, then we actually get direct access to what's really good, because the only

00:01:53 --> 00:02:29
			entity that understands what's truly good and truly evil is the Divine is the one who made us,
right. Is the computer able to know be self aware about itself? Are we able to be 100%? Maybe
there'll be able to be self aware about some things, are we able to be 100% self aware, so that we
know with 100% certainty, everything that's good and everything that's bad for us? Don't we have
biases, or those biases, things that we can actually separate from ourselves? Isn't our conflict of
interest, the whole human endeavor of trying to determine with certainty just from human sources,
what's good and what's bad? Now we need it. We need an audit. We need a divine audit. We need

00:02:29 --> 00:02:37
			somebody to be able to step in someone who's perfect, you know, who created us who made us who
understands everything, who knows everything to tell us what's good and what's not.
