The Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam told us that if we're ever eating, that we should not clean up, we shouldn't finish until we finished every last morsel, both in the vessel and what might be left on our hands or on our silverware.
Now, this might be opposite of what we're used to doing. Maybe you're one of the people that leaves the last bite on the plate. Or maybe you don't want to seem greedy, you're at somebody's house. And so you take very little and leave the rest.
The important thing that Prophet Mohammed said, I'm just trying to teach us is to not waste.
Every single thing that Allah gives us is a blessing as a NEMA.
And you wouldn't take a blessing and throw it in the trash
in the Muslim community today. And we're very sad to say this. Think about Ramadan, think about the Iftar hours that we have in our massage and in our homes, how much food gets thrown out how much food gets wasted?
And is this in
adherence to the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi salam who said that even if you have food on your hands, you should make sure that you look at before you're done.
May Allah guide us back to the right path and May He make us truly grateful for all the blessings that He gives us.
