Salam aleikum wa rahmatullah. Tonight's name is Al Aziz al Aziz means that Allah is the most honorable
honor, it's kind of a tricky topic.
It can mean a couple of different things.
One thing, for example, is that it means strength.
To have honor, you have to be strong.
And so Allah subhanho wa Taala is the strongest, there is no force on earth, or in the universe, whether an earthquake or a hurricane, or the explosion of a star, anything that can compare with a lot of strength.
The second part of honor, is independence.
Every one of us, we depend on other people. And that can be a good thing. You depend on your parents to give you clothes, to give you a house to live in, to give you food. And even once you become an adult, you depend on other people, such as your spouse to help you raise your children, such as your parents, to help you with things as well. And of course, we all depend on a law to help us throughout our lives. Allah subhanaw taala is the only one that doesn't depend on anybody. He is free from need. He's wealthier, beyond all imagination. Everything in the creation is his. What could he possibly need from anyone?
The third part of having honor and Allah being Allah Aziz is that Allah is Able to do whatever he wants. Allah doesn't have to ask permission. Allah doesn't have any forces that he has to overcome.
Even the devil so the devil Subhana wa, tada. Allah doesn't have to expend any energy to overcome evil.
Evil happens, and Allah wills it to happen. But Allah's forgiveness and Allah's mercy, and Allah's power is far more powerful than anything that anybody on earth does.
So when we think about Allah's Name, and Aziz, we call upon him. Yeah, as ease. Maybe we're in a difficult situation. Or maybe we feel like things are out of our control. Like we're dependent on a lot of different things going right. Well, we can call upon an ICS knowing that a law is the one that can make anything happen without any limitation at all.
