in sha Allah Today we will study the Name of Allah the Exalted a Shafi and a Shafi The one who heals the one who, who cures is a very relevant name to every single one of us. Because as human beings The fact is that every single one of us experiences some kind of illness, some kind of disease, and if Overall, we we have good health by the will of Allah, we definitely witness sickness and disease. And a lot of that, in fact, in the world, in our families, the people that we love, so we experienced it ourselves and we also witnessed it in the lives of other people. And Allah subhanaw taala is the one who gives healing Allah subhanaw taala is the one who cures. So, it is very
important for us to remember to understand that healing is in his hand and he is the one who grants it, he is the one who who gives it whenever and to whomever He wills and there is of course great wisdom in in how he gives healing and to whom he gives healing. So in sha Allah, we will spend the next little while discussing the name of Allah subhanaw taala a Shafi now the name of Allah Shafi does not actually occur in the Quran, but the attribute of giving healing meaning the fact that Allah subhanaw taala is the one who gives healing. This attribute of Allah is definitely mentioned in the Quran multiple times. But the name a Shafi definitely occurs in the sooner so in the Quran,
we have for example, in Surah sharara I and number 80 that Ibrahim alayhis salaam said when he was describing who Allah exalted is that a lady holla Connie for whom a Dini will levy Who are you very money way a skinny, what either muddle through for Hawaii ashvini that Allah is the one who has created me and he is the
One who guides me and he is the one who gives me to eat and he is the one who gives me to drink. And when I fall ill then he is the one who heals me for who is Fini, he is the one who gives she fat. Now the name of Shafi definitely is mentioned in the heydays, where we learned that I shall do a lot more in her. She reported that whenever the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam visited a person who was unwell or if a person who was unwell was brought to him some Allahu alayhi wa sallam, he would make God and that Dora is available but Sarah bananas, wash feet under Shafi lash she fell in love she fell oak she fell and lay huadu sarcoma and this means are the hibel sort of bananas remove the
ailment or Lord of people ish be heal under Shafi, you are the one who who heals, last Shiva Illa, Shiva oak and there is no healing except the one that you give and the healing that you give is such that it does not leave any ailment whatsoever. So, the name of Shafi is definitely mentioned in the Sunnah of the Prophet salallahu already he was setting up. Now, what exactly does the word Shafi even mean? We see that a Shafi the word a Shafi means the one who gives sheaf up all right a Shafi is the one who gives she fat. Now what is she thought she fat is understood as healing. But when we look at the literal meaning of the word shefa, is actually to rise. So for example, the word cefa is
used for the Hillel for the crescent, when it first appears, when it rises, meaning it is visible in the horizon. And so she felt is actually recovery or healing from illness. Because when a person is healed, then they rise up, right, they get up again. So, disease or sickness is something that brings a person down, that makes a person immobile, that makes a person and and it doesn't necessarily have to be physical disease, it could be even emotional. Right? So a person is down and she felt healing is that a person is now able to get up, they're able to rise again. So she felt is to become free from disease to become free from sickness to recover from it. And remember that
disease is not just of the body. Right? As human beings, we're not just a physical body, there is of course, the body there is the soul. And both are deeply interconnected. Right, which is why we see that, you know, for instance, when a person experiences trauma, then there is a physiological response, right, the body responds to it. And it's possible that over time, you don't have any recollection of that traumatic experience, but your body remembers the way that it responded to something that it perceived to be dangerous or harmful. And so, it will happen that when you are in a similar situation, then then your body will respond without even your control over it. Right that
you will not even realize and you are clenching your teeth, you will not even realize it's it's almost beyond your control, that you start, you know, doing certain things, because that's what your body did, when when it experienced trauma. So, there is a physiological response right to trauma. And likewise, we see that disease and he whether it is of the body, an ailment, a sickness, a pain, whether it is of the body or it is of the soul, both are interconnected. Right And Allah subhanaw taala, a Shafi The one who heals, he is the one who heals, all types of diseases, all types of ailments, all types of pain, all types of sickness, whether it is of the body of the heart, or off
the mind. We learn for example, in the Quran, in Surah, two Toba number 14, Allah subhanaw taala mentions way ish fee sudo raqami meaning that Allah will heal the chests of people who believe meaning the pain the wounds that they're carrying in their heart, Allah subhanaw taala is able to heal that, right. So when we're talking about the name a Shafi The one who heals, we shouldn't just be thinking about physical diseases. We should also be thinking about emotional wounds.
We should also be thinking about, you know, trauma or or, or things like that mental diseases as well, because Allah subhanaw taala is the one who heals all types of ailments and diseases and sicknesses because he is a Shafi. Now when we're talking about the name of Allah Shafi, what exactly does this mean?
When Allah subhanaw taala is a Shafi. This means that Allah alone is a Shafi meaning there is no Shafi besides Allah, there is no one who can heal except Allah or zildjian. And this means that there is no Shiva no healing, except the healing that Allah subhanaw taala gives except the healing that Allah subhanaw taala creates. And this means that there is notice that that if there is any disease, any kind of sickness, any kind of ailment, it can only go away when Allah subhanaw taala removes it. So it could be the disease of the body, it could be that of the heart. It could be that of the mind. But remember, it's removal can only be by Allah azza wa jal, because Allah alone is a
Shafi the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam he said, and the Shafi lash shafia in under that under Shafi or Allah, you are a Shafi and there is no Shafi there is no one who can heal, who can give healing other than you. We also learn in a Hadees that a man asked the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam that what is it that you invite people to what's your message? And the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that adieu in Allah He was the who I call to Allah alone. Meaning I call people to worship Allah alone. And who is he? A lovely a must suck a loon for the outer who kashia Anka, he is the one who when you are afflicted by some harm, you call upon him and he removes it
from you. So this means that Allah alone is a Shafi meaning there is no disease except that only Allah subhanaw taala is able to remove it. There is no ailment except that only Allah subhanaw taala is able to take it away in sootel anom ayah number 17. We learn what am seska Allah who be looting, Fela, Kashi follow inaho that if Allah subhanaw taala touches you with some kind of harm, there is no one at all who can remove it except Allah. What am seska be hiding for who are I luckily Shea included? And if Allah subhanaw taala touches you with something good, then he is over all things capable. So if there is any disease, any ailment, any kind of pain, then remember it is only Allah
subhanaw taala who is a sheffy who can actually give you healing, who can actually remove that disease from you.
And remember that part of this is that we remember that Allah subhanaw taala is the one who gives shifa. All right, he is the one who gives healing. And notice that Ibrahim Ronnie has said and when he was talking about Allah, He said what either married to when I fall ill I fall ill. Allah is the one who heals me. He did not say when Allah makes me sick. Yes, it's you know, it's it's a fact that nothing happens without the permission of Allah. Absolutely. But remember, that when we fall ill, this is a result of our own.
You know, our own errors, our own negligence, our own mistakes, our own ignorance and foolishness, right and our own, not just at an individual level, but also at an at a collective level, meaning for disease, we should not blame Allah, because Allah is actually a Shafi right? We cause the problems and Allah subhanaw taala is the one who gives healing. Allah is the one who gives shifa. Then secondly, when Allah subhanaw taala is a Shafi This means that he is the one who gives Shiva meaning who, who heals the slaves from all types of diseases and ailments. And he it could be an ailment of the body. It could be that of the heart, but remember, Allah subhanaw taala is the one
who gives shifa for all types of diseases. One of the scholar said that Allah is a Shafi meaning he is the one who
Yours who heals the chests and he is the one who heals the bodies. And he is the one who heals the minds. Meaning there is a disease, there are diseases of the mind, there are diseases of the heart and there are diseases of the body. diseases of the body, they're well known, right? diseases of the heart, what are the things like jealousy? Right or or hatred or extreme bias, right? diseases of the mind, what are the doubts? All right doubts about Allah subhanaw taala or, you know, constant
questioning of why is it like that? And why is it like that, that a person's mind is not able to rest, right? So all types of diseases, remember that Allah subhanaw taala is able to bring healing to his slaves. We learn in a narration about how, you know, when the when the people have punished when they verbally assaulted the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam and this had been going on for a very long time. But every now and then they would, even when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam had migrated to Medina, every now and then the people of Quraysh, you know, one of their poets would say something extremely disrespectful about the Prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam, in order to
This was one of the ways that they used, you know, to harm the Muslims to harm Islam. So at one point, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said to his son, radula, mourn that ooredoo coration, meaning recite poetry in order to attack the Quraysh in order to insult them, right, because you have to take revenge in a situation like that. So what happened has signed on Ile de la Mourinho, he was extremely eloquent. Right? So he got up and he began reciting poetry, attacking the Quraysh. Right. And when he finished the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam said, Hjelm has said, No fresh offer wash stuffer that has son insulted them, and by that he was healed, and he also brought
healing to others. Right? Because there is a certain pain and anger that you have in your heart, right? When you're constantly assaulted by others, when you're constantly, you know, attacked by others. And when they insult you, and when they have no right to spread those lies and rumors about you. There is a certain burning inside the heart, right? There's that grief. So Hassan radula horn who Yes, he himself, you know, was suffering inside. And then the Muslims also, right, they were suffering inside their hearts because of what the police were doing. So when his son while the Longhorn who recited that poetry in order to attack the enemy, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam said that his son has, has healed and and he has also brought healing to others, of course, by the permission of Allah. So, remember that Allah subhana wa Tada. He is a Shafi meaning he heals the slave from all types of diseases and ailments. So think about it, you know, there could be emotional, you know, pain in your heart, there could be a trauma there could be regrets there could be you know, you know, mistakes that you have made in the past or the way that people have dealt with you, or, or the way that things have been in your life because of what you're carrying a lot of pain, right, a lot of hurt. And remember that Allah subhanaw taala is a sheffy He is the one who
heals, he can remove that pain, he can bring you that comfort.
When Allah subhanaw taala is a Shafi This means that he removes ailment with and without means, what does this mean? This means that Allah subhanaw taala is able to heal his slaves through means and also without the use of any means. Okay? So for instance, when you have a headache, right, you take Tylenol, for example, you take some pain medication, all right. And, you know, you take that pain medication, it's a sub it is a means right of removing the pain from your head. So, you know, you you take that medication, and with the permission of Allah what happens that headache goes away, and hamdulillah but sometimes what happens is that you don't have access to medication, right? And even
if you do have access to medication and you even take that medication, any the pain does not go away. Right? So you call upon Allah subhanaw taala right over and over and over again, and what happens your pain goes away. So
Allah subhanaw taala remember, healing is in his hand, all right, at times, he heals his slaves through means. So through the medication that you took, and other times without any means directly. Why? How because Allah azza wa jal is a Shafi he does not need any means in order to give you healing. Right. He is the one who gives healing. So it is entirely in his control. And we have numerous examples of this in the Quran and Sunnah as to how Allah subhanaw taala you know, heals his slaves without the use of any means even. So, for example, we learn about Zachary Arla, his son and his wife, right. They did not have any children. It was well known his wife was, you know, old. He
himself was old. And they had, you know, been suffering from infertility. And what happened into the medium is seven to nine. We learn a last panel Tyler says he has a career in nanobots, Shiro cubbyhole em in Islam we are here lemenager Allah human Pablo semiya that oza Korea we give you good news of a son that you're going to have and his name is going to be your here. All right. So the creality salaam he said Robbie anikulapo lamb How could I have a boy? How could I have a son What cannot do a tr Kira while my wife is barren worker, the below terminal keep it here athiya and I myself have become extremely old. Allah cavallier color of buka who are Allah Yin, he was told that
this is exactly how it will be you will be old Your wife is your wife. Right? And what's going to happen? Allah subhanaw taala says that who are layyah Hagen This is something very easy for me. This is not difficult for me. So we see that their infertility was cured, right? Allah subhanaw taala healed them. Right and and he gave them healing without any means.
Then we also see in another Hadees about how
in fact in the Quran, we learn about the Cobra his sin, right that how his his eyes became blind, he was not able to see but what happened he was able to see when use of it Samson his shirt right? Now, if you think about it, a shirt is not technically a suburb, right? In the sense that if a person is not able to see you put a cloth on them, that cloth has nothing to do with with vision, right? That cloth has nothing to do with eyes. So what happened over here that Allah subhanaw taala gave Schieffer to him.
He gave him his vision back without any means. Then we see in Hades again about earlier Atilla horn who,
how when, when he was one suffering from eye infection, all right. And when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was informed about it.
The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam applied his saliva on the eyes of RDL de la Mourinho and he made the offer him and at once his eyes were fine, right in Hades, we learn that he was as if he had no ailment. All right, then we also see about how there was a child who got badly burned. And when he was brought to the Prophet sallallahu, alayhi wasallam. The Prophet sallallahu Urdu sent him simply, you know, rubbed his saliva on the burns of the child, and he recited the DA and he will sort of vaness wash the under Shafi last Shiva Illa, Shiva, oke Shiva and lay your head yuru sarcoma. And what happened, the mother of that child said that before even I got up from there, what
happened is that your burns were healed, the burns of that child were healed. Then, we also learn about how
there was a group of companions who were once traveling, and they stopped at a place they wanted to, you know,
stay over with with those people. They expected that those people would be hospitable towards them, but they weren't. Right. And then their leader actually got bitten by some kind of a poisonous creature. And so they came to those companions and they said that, is there any doctor among you? And they're like, no, but we can do something. And what did they do? They simply recited sudo Fatiha, and what happened? The man was cured. So we have numerous examples in the Quran and Sunnah about how people suffering from different types of illnesses, different types of diseases.
Right, they were cured. They were healed without the use of any medication, right? Without any surgery, without any complicated treatment, how were they healed simply by the right that that they called upon Allah subhanaw taala and Allah subhanaw taala because he's a Shafi, he gave them she fat, right? We also learn about another companion Earth man, even a bit of coffee, that he said that once I came to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and I had extreme pain. And it was such extreme pain that I felt that I was going to die. And the Prophet sallallahu earlier said him told me that put your Put your right hand where it hurts, and say Bismillah R Oh, to be reserved, Allah,
He will could Rati him in Shalimar. eridu What will have it and say this there are seven times and what happened earthman will do more and who said that I did that and my pain went away for chiffonier Allah who and Allah gave me healing.
So you know, sometimes we think that if we want to get better than we must, you know, get that complicated treatment, etc. And we begin to rely upon the doctors or we begin to rely upon the medication, we begin to rely upon the you know, procedures, etc. And yes, these are means, but they're not the source. Because we see so often that two people, you know, they are going through the same treatment, perhaps they're taking the exact same medication, one is healed and the other is not. Why Why is that? So? Because Allah subhanaw taala Shafi gave she fat to one, and did not give in decided to not give she fat to another. So the healing is not in the means, all right, the
healing is with who it is with Allah azzawajal because He alone is a Shafi.
Now when Allah subhanaw taala is a Shafi This also means that there is no disease that Allah subhanaw taala has sent except that he has also sent its cure, because he's a Shafi he he is the giver of healing, which means that if there is any disease, any ailment that Allah subhanaw taala has also provided its cure. So for example, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said,
The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that madonsela Allah who dat and in our ends and Allah who Allahu Shiva, that there is no disease that Allah has sent except that Allah has also sent its Shiva right? He has also given its its cure, its healing.
In another Hadees we learn that in the la hora xojo la hazle Holla Holla Dawa, that one Allah created the disease he also created its cure further down, whoa, therefore, or people seek treatment, right seek treatment. In another Hadees we learn the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said the DA will worry about Allah or slaves of Allah seek treatment. Why? Because Allah subhanaw taala has not sent down any ailment except that he has also sent down it's its cure along with it except for death and extreme old age. So, Allah subhanaw taala is a Shafi meaning he has created he has provided different means of healing and some of these means inshallah I will talk about them.
But remember, again, that means are only means they are not the source, right? So in our heads we learn the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that liquidly there in the world on there is a remedy for every ailment. And when the remedy is applied to the disease, it is cured by the permission of Allah the Exalted notice the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, when it is applied, it is cured by the permission of Allah. It does not have the power to heal, right? It's in and of itself. The healing comes by the permission of Allah azzawajal Okay, so now what are some us Bab inshallah I will just talk about them. But one last point about when Allah subhanaw taala is a
Shafi This also means that Shiva is entirely in his hand, right? It is in his country.
troll, so he gives it whenever he pleases. And when he gives it to his slaves, there's absolutely wisdom in that. In a heavys we learn the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would say him so Hilbert sort of vaness, BIA, deca Shiva, that remove the ailment or Lord of the people in your hand, in your hand alone is a Shiva. Ne Allah is the controller of Shiva, he is the giver of Shiva, it is entirely in his control in his power. We learn for example, about a YouTuber to his salon that he suffered for so long, right? He was we learn in the Quran about how he said aneema suniel booboo, right, that affliction has touched me. And some of them have a serum they have said that he was a he
was sick for 18 years. Allahu Akbar. So, for 18 years he was unwell. And Allah subhanaw taala is a Shafi. So why is it that a eWb earliest Salaam was sick for so long? When Allah is a Shafi? It's because Allah is Allah alone controls Shiva, right? He gives it whenever that he wants, we cannot take it from him by force. And we can be angry or upset or you know, frustrated or we can become impatient, but that does not change anything. Right? Allah soprano thought is the one who gives you fat whenever that he wants, and remember that every decision of Allah the Exalted is with his wisdom and inshallah we will discuss some of the wisdoms some of the benefits in why healing is delayed at
times. So, when Allah subhanaw taala is a Shafi I mentioned earlier about how Allah subhana wa tada has given means of healing right. So, what are some of the ASVAB what are some of the means through which we can seek healing from a Shafi? First of all, we have got right, because the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, that there are is something that benefits against what has already come and what has not yet come. So all slaves of Allah, you must adhere to the raw meaning you must call upon Allah subhanaw taala in regard to what has already happened, and what might happen or what will happen in the future, right. So it's, it's possible that you may lose pounds or to protect you,
but it's possible that you know, at the moment, you are suffering from a certain disease or you are at higher risk, your doctor warns you right, that you are at higher risk, that it's possible that within you know, the way that your health is progressing, within a couple of years, you might get a certain condition, right, you might get a certain disease. So remember that there are is something that benefits against what has already happened, and what will happen in the future. So, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam his way of dealing with disease was what Dora first and foremost and this is a habit that we need to develop as well. Because when we say that Allah is a Shafi This
means that she felt comes from him, not from the Tylenol, right. The Tylenol the medication is is a means not the source, who is the source, that is Allah azza wa jal a Shafi so when there is ailments, any kind of ailment a lot, you know, a big or a small one extreme or, you know, very mild, any kind of disease of the body or the heart or the mind any kind, right it's a chemical imbalance in the body and any kind, we need to call upon a sheffy right. This is the first the most important sub means that we have been given to seek healing from Allah zoologia the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
in he taught us to say this there are seven times right to for a person who is unwell when we go to visit them, and what is this there are a Luma haleema or a balau Schiller Aleem on your sphere that I asked Allah the Great, who is the Lord of the great throne, that he should cure you that he should heal you. So, this is $1 that we should make for someone who is unwell seven times right. So this is the first sub making the, the second sub of that we have been given the second means that we have been given in order to
Seek healing from Allah subhanaw taala is the Quran? Yes the Quran. Allah subhanaw taala describes the Quran as Shiva. Insert Yunus is number 57 Allah subhanaw taala mentions that Yeah, are you a nurse or jerte como ella to Mira become where she felt only maphis sudo that there has come to you and admonition and instruction from your Lord and also a healing for that which is in the chests, meaning the Quran is a healing in sootel israa ayah number 82. One who knows zero mineral called Anima Who is she fell on what I meant to limit meaning. The Quran again is called she felt a healing in sort of firstly that I have 44 Calhoun Latina Avenue who then were Shiva the Quran is a healing
the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he would recite portions of the Quran, right when he was unwell. So for example, the more we that Paulo had coloratura bill Falak openness, right, he would recite them, and then he would blow in his hand and he would wipe you know, he he would pass his hand over his body, and I shall de la Mourinho.
She mentioned about how once the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam came, and there was a lady who was, you know, trying to treat I shall deliver on her for a certain condition and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said to that lady, Ali Jihad be kitabi tabula. Treat her with the book of Allah, meaning that if you want to, you know, use some kind of treatment, alright, in order to
you know, improve her condition, then you should recite the Quran, you should recite the book of Allah.
We also learn about how the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam once he was bitten by
a scorpion and the Prophet sallallahu earlier Salah he asked for some salt and water and he rubbed the salt and water on the on the bite, and he began reciting kuliah you healthcare furon and call are with the bureau bill Falak and Paul are with the European nurse. So this is something well known to little fat here is called a Shiva as well right? In total belcarra there is Baraka there is blessing, right? So definitely the Quran. Now remember that when we recite the Quran for Shiva, we're not just doing that for you know, emotional, hurt or pain like for example, you're feeling very sad. So you start reciting the Quran in order to feel better. Absolutely the Quran is she fat
for the heart, but it is also she fought for the body. Right? It is also she fought for the body. Now, it doesn't mean that we only we we resort to only one suburb, we resort to only one means all right. No, we will use whatever means that we can in order to seek Shiva from a Shafi Alright, so we will make Dora and we will also recite the Quran, and we will also use other ASVAB in order to seek healing from a Shafi.
Now the third subject that we have is the vicar of Allah. Absolutely. the remembrance of Allah is also a source of healing or rather a means of healing. Because Allah subhanaw taala in he he heals, he is the source of healing and when the slave remembers Allah, then what happens? Allah subhanaw taala remembers the slave as we learn in the Quran for the Quran, he could come. And so, this is a way of inviting the mercy of Allah insolate The Lord is number 28 we learn nRb decree law he teratoma in no kulu unquestionably, it is by the it is in the remembrance of Allah that the hearts find rest. Right? So when it comes to the the ailment or or the pain of the heart, definitely the
vicar of Allah is is a means of finding comfort.
But other than that also, we see for example, thoughtbot model de la Mourinho, she once complained to the Prophet sallallahu Ernie, he was telling him about, you know, how she had to do so much work at home, and it would physically exhaust her right so she wanted a servant to help her out with, with, you know, with all the work. So the Prophet sallallahu Ernie who was sending them actually told her to do something different, right? And he told her that when you go to bed, you should say Allahu acabado right. And Alhamdulillah and Subhana Allah right 33 times. Why because
When you will do that your fatigue will go away. So when it comes to fatigue, right, physical pain, exhaustion, what is the Shiva? It is it is the vicar of Allah. Right It is the remembrance of Allah. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam also mentioned about how if a person is extremely afraid of the night, right afraid of the in the darkness of the night, and then he mentioned some other things as well. And he said that such a person should increase in saying Subhana Allah, he would be handy he
increase in saying Subhan Allah, He will be handy, the vicar of Allah, because that will be a means of strengthening the heart, right? When it comes to joint pain, right physical or rather, pain in the body, right? We learn in a hadith the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that in the morning sadaqa is due from every bone in the body of every single one of you. Right. And he mentioned that every, this B hat is sort of coming every time you say so panela that is a sort of every time you say Alhamdulillah that is a Sadako every time you say la ilaha illAllah that is a sort of every time you say Allahu Akbar, that is a sadhaka right? So
at the beginning, he said that sadaqa is due on every joint of the body, right, every every limb of the body, every bone in the body. And when you make the vicar of Allah, that is a way of giving so that
then besides that, we have for example, honey, in the Quran, we learn
a last panel dimensions regarding honey, that fee she felt willingness in it is she fought for people, right in it is healing for people.
When it comes to Zamzam, right, the water of Zamzam the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said the water of Zamzam is for the purpose for which it is consumed. Meaning if you drink it, because you're thirsty, it will quench your thirst if you drink it because you're hungry, it will satisfy your hunger if you drink it because you are unwell. It will be a source it will be a means of, of healing for you. Likewise black seed right habita so that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that in the black seed is Shiva, for every ailment, right except for death. So, no matter what disease it is, there is in Charlevoix with with the permission of Allah healing in the black seat, also
cupping, right hey Gemma, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam mentioned that healing is in three things. And he mentioned cupping, drinking honey and and cauterization which is basically branding you know a wound or a rash or you know, anything like that which is on the surface of the skin, branding it with with a with a heated met you know, piece of metal, right but the Prophet sallallahu already sent him said that I forbid my oma from from doing that. Then we have
a Hindi it's, it's a certain herb you can say.
And in a hadith we learn about how this woman brought her child in the presence of the Prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam and this child was unwell and this woman had applied you know something in the child's throat All right, in order to you know, suppress the swelling basically, which was in the throat and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam said that why do you afflict your children like that any Why are you torturing your your children like that with some with the treatment that is so painful, right? Rather, you should use cost because it is healing for such and such and such ailment. Right. So cost also
there is Shiva in that and then there'll be in Urbina is barley porridge. I shall do a lot more on her. We learned that she used to recommend the albina for for the medela meaning for a person who was unwell. And she used to say that I heard the Prophet sallallahu earlier instead of saying that the albina gives rest to the heart of the patient, meaning of the person who is sick, all right, meaning it gives them comfort, right, it allows them to relax it, it allows them to rest and it is only when a person is able to fully rest that the body is able to heal. Also sadaqa is a means in a Hadees we learn there will more luck on
that. Treat your, your your Mandala, meaning the people who are ill among you with sadaqa right with bye
giving charity and then of course, there are other things in the world that last panel Tata has created and through our, you know experimentation and experience we can figure out you know, which which plant or which you know chemical etc, can be a means of, of healing or of curing a certain disease. We learn for example, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, sometimes he would actually apply his saliva on on, you know, he would pick up dirt with his saliva, and then he would apply that, you know, on on the person who was unwell. And he would say, Bismillah, Heiko Bertie, or Lena, right? torba This is the Thurber any the dust of our land. And bt aquatique balbina the saliva of
some of us, right? Yes, fi supima and Allah subhanaw taala will heal the ill among us be in your abena and this is by the permission of Allah azza wa jal. So, certainly the means that Allah subhanaw taala has given we must use them right? Because Allah subhanaw taala is a chef he he has provided these means for Shiva, so we must use them. Now, when Allah subhanaw taala is a Shafi What are we supposed to do? What is our responsibility? How is it that we should worship Allah subhanaw taala through this name, first of all, we must believe that Allah alone is the one who gives Shiva meaning He alone is the source of Shiva, he is a Shafi and healthtap
meaning no matter what ailment it is, healing comes from Allah. Right? Whether it is the ailment of the body, or the mind, the heart Alhamdulillah, you know, you find a good doctor, that doctor is able to, you know, make the good, the correct diagnosis, give a good treatment, and, and hamdulillah through that you find chifa. But remember that that doctor, the treatment, that diagnosis, everything happened, by whose permission by the permission of Allah subhanaw taala, the doctor is not the source, right of healing, Allah subhanaw taala is a source of healing. And sometimes you will find that, you know, for example, you go to a certain doctor, and you find them to be an
excellent doctor. Right? But then you find out about someone else who does not like that doctor at all. Right? You check the reviews of your doctor online, and you see that people have given such bad reviews. So how is it that you have had such an excellent experience and other people have had a really bad experience because that doctor is just a poor doctor, a human being. He's just where she's just doing, you know, they're just doing their best, according to the knowledge, the understanding that they have. They're not the source of healing. Allah subhanaw taala is the source of healing. We learn in the heavys about how a man came to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam.
And he said that in the Rajaram khabib, that I am of Algerian public meaning I am a doctor, right? I know how to cure people. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said Allah who Bobby it is actually Allah who is a Labib. Meaning who who cures, but under Rajan, Rafi, you are just a, a kind man, right? Or a helpful man, a man who who helps, you know, soothe people, Toby boo, her lady Hanukkah her. The Toby the real healer, of this ailment is the one who created this ailment. So remember that the real source of Shiva is who Allah subhanaw taala. And people no matter how experienced they are, no matter how,
you know, well educated there are no matter how,
you know how much expertise they have, right? They can only be logical and refuse, they can only be you know, kind well meaning people who are using, you know, their knowledge, doing the best that they can in order to help you. Right, so have you and that's it, they cannot actually fix you. The one who can fix you is actually Allah or zawada and this is what we need to believe. And this is something that we need to remind ourselves of over and over again because we forget this very quickly, very, very quickly. Secondly, when Allah subhanaw taala is a Shafi wish
Believe that disease comes by his permission, and it will also go by his permission. So, we should not fear disease, we should not fear, you know, sickness, alright. It, it comes by the permission of Allah and it will go away by the permission of Allah subhanaw taala as well. Any the disease itself does not have the power, you know to harm you, it is Allah subhanaw taala who if he intends that something should afflict you, you will never be able to miss it. Right and if Allah subhanaw taala intends that something should leave you, it will certainly leave you.
Thirdly, when Allah subhanaw taala is a Shafi This means that we should seek Shiva from him, right? Allah is the one who gives FIFA What does that mean? That when we are unwell we should seek Shiva from him. Right? We should ask Allah subhanaw taala to heal us. And it could be any kind of sickness So, for example, Yunus or his center, right we learn about how when he was trapped in the belly of the fish, and he was extremely sad, right he called upon Allah subhanaw taala La ilaha illa Anta Subhana Allah in the quantum in a lonely mean a loss panel process first the German Allah who we answered him one Ajay now homie nettle hum and we rescued him from his grief. We rescued him from
his, from his worry, work from his regret work that he can undo meaning and that is how we rescue the believers. So seek healing from him. And use different means that Allah soprano Prada has given we discussed so many of them. And also remember that when a person you know helps others that Allah subhanaw taala helps that slave, you know, had these we learned that men can have he had a he he can Luffy Hagerty, whoever is striving to fulfill the need of his brother than Allah subhanaw taala will fulfill his need any, if you help others, Allah subhanaw taala will help you. Right? So any kind of ailment, don't just become, you know, focused on yourself, think about how you can benefit other
people. But this all of this should be in moderation, right? In the sense that don't go to another extreme, where you begin to neglect yourself entirely.
Both need to be done, give sadaqa make the raw, you know Toba and so far, and of course, helping others and and through all of these means, seek healing from Allah or zoologia. Another important thing is that when Allah subhanaw taala is a Shafi then we must not use incorrect ways of seeking shifa right of seeking healing, because healing will come only by the permission of Allah, right? It will not come through something that is unlawful, meaning that unlawful thing can can never be the source. Okay? But in order to, you know, test certain people, yes, it happens when they employ unlawful ways. Apparently, you know, it seems as though they they have healed but that healing
actually came from Allah and those individuals are responsible for the for the wrong ways that they employed, right so we have to be careful about what ways we are using in order to seek healing from Allah or xojo
you know how these we learned in a narration we learned that our the weapon was through there'll be a lot more in home.
His wife Zaina all day long on her.
She was told by her husband that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, That spells charms and, and to Allah, which which are basically love potions, these are schicke meaning stay away from them. spells charms and potions. So Xena, she said Why do you say that because I swear by Allah when my eye was infected, I used to go to such and such person who would apply a spell on my eye. And what would happen is that my you know, infection would go away my I would would be fine. So our beloved Dylan Warren who said that that was actually the work of the devil who was picking your eye and when that
man would recite his spell that devil would stop, right? So sometimes it happens that, you know, shaitan is actually,
you know, harming a person like that so that a person in their desperation, they turn towards just anything in order to find relief. Right. So, in a situation like that, where you know, you're trying one thing after another after another, it's very important that you remind yourself over and over that I cannot use unlawful means to find healing because healing comes from Allah subhanho wa Taala. And for everything Allah subhanaw taala has decreed a time right and a certain amount a certain measure. So we must seek healing from Allah subhana wa Tada. How by using the correct means. We learn that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he forbade
people from using a doula in hobbies. And he impure things as, as as treatment. In another narration, we learn what not to do, there won't be held on do not use unlawful things in order to seek treatment. We also learn about how some people mentioned you know that they use alcohol for you know, in order to treat certain conditions and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said in a whole laser be the way in which I can know who they're on. It is not actually a a treatment, it is actually an ailment, it is actually a sickness, meaning there cannot be healing in what Allah subhanaw taala has forbidden, right? healing comes from Allah azza wa jal.
And then finally, when Allah subhanaw taala is a Shafi then we must always have her snelled lon about Allah Rasool Allah Jen, what does that mean? This means that no matter what the nature of our illness is a no matter what the duration is, no matter how painful it is, and no matter how difficult it is to live with on a regular basis, we must always think good about Allah zoologia. Because Allah subhanaw taala is a sheffey. Right? He is the one who heals, he is the source of healing. So this means that first of all we should expect good from Allah, we should have that host know that Allah subhanaw taala will heal me. Right? Because as we learn in the Hadees, that I am as
my servant thinks I am. So think good about Allah expect good from Allah subhanaw taala This means that you trust Allah, soprano todos decree as well that if Allah decided he decreed that you should suffer from this particular illness, for this particular duration, right, in this particular manner and way that there is some wisdom in it. Right? There is some some benefit in it. And what is that benefit? What is that wisdom? It's possible we don't see it yet. But trust Allah subhanaw taala has decision. Did the prophets of Allah not suffer from sickness? Absolutely, they did. Right? There's a cardiologist, right he had him and his wife, no child, they, they suffered from, from infertility
for so long. Your Kubernetes and salon, his eyes became blind, right? The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he had extremely high fever, right? Any, this is something we see in the prophets of Allah as well, that they experienced sickness, they experienced illness, this is part of being human. Right, this is part of life in this world, that we suffer from sickness from illness, right. But the thing is, there is benefit in that what is that benefit? There is purification through that right which is why when someone was in when you know the Prophet sallallahu earlier said, he taught us Lambert said the horn insha Allah, right that when someone is unwell, you say that lubber said
the hurun in sha Allah, that there is purification in this right. And sometimes it happens that because of, you know, extreme pain in our body, that that sickness, we are able to identify a certain problem in the body. Right. And once that problem is identified, only then it can be removed. If we didn't suffer pain, how would we know what is wrong with us? Right? a fever is an indication of what that there is an infection.
something needs to be done. Right? So
any, that there is wisdom, right? There is a reason. Now it's not your job to find out what exactly that reason is, am I being punished over here? Am I being given a warning over here? Am I being you know, purified over here, that is Allah subhanaw taala is knowledge, right? Your job is to think good about Allah, your job is to turn towards Allah a Shafi to remember him more, to thank him more, to seek forgiveness from him, to seek help from him to seek refuge in Him. This is our job that we turn to Allah or zoologia. Right? Because ultimately, that is all that matters. This body that we have, is not going to stay with us forever. Right? This life that we're living is not endless. It's
temporary, no matter how healthy we are. And no matter what diseases we recover from, eventually we are going to die. We are not supposed to last here forever, right? We are going to die. But what matters is that if through our illnesses and through our pains, we have turned to Allah and we have found closeness to Allah. And if that became a reason to, you know, introspect and and realize our mistakes and seek forgiveness from Allah soprano Tara, then that is excellent. That is that that is excellent, right? Because we learn in a narration about how the people have alfia right. The people have Aafia meaning the people who were perfectly fine in the world, right, they didn't really suffer
from any ailment, any problems, they will wish, you know, on the on the Day of Judgment, when they will see the people of tribulation being given the reward, they will wish that their skins had been, you know, cut with scissors and and things like that. Any when they will see the reward that has been given to the people who experienced tribulation, they will wish that they had also suffered tribulation. Now, this does not mean that we ask Allah subhanaw taala to put us in trouble and hardship and illness and disease know that that's not the point over here. The point is, that if Allah subhanaw taala tests us with a condition with a certain disease, let us trust Allah subhanaw
taala his decision, let us seek shifa from a Shafi let us use that difficulty as a means to turn towards Allah subhanaw taala Because ultimately, what matters is our relationship with Allah zoologia May Allah subhanaw taala grant us all healing from all of our diseases, whether they are of the mind of the body or the heart, my last panel thought to make our diseases or ailments or pain, a means of purification and a means of repentance and a means of turning back to Allah. And may Allah subhanaw taala not burden us with more than what we can bear. I mean, now how to make go to Allah subhanaw taala through the name of Shafi there are many doors in the Sunnah, and I want to cover
we're running out of time. Some of them I'll quickly mentioned, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said he will set up vaness wash feet under Shafi lash Shiva Illa, Shiva, oke Shiva and les Johar do sarcoma this has mentioned Sahih Muslim when someone is unwell. So for example, you find out about a friend or relative, even a child, any kind of illness, whether it is of the heart or you know the body, any kind of illness make the offer them the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam made the offer sorry, the rhodiola Mourinho, Allah how much feasts are then simple Allah how much besar then, so you're you have a brother named Abdullah. He is unwell. You say? Allahu mushfiqur Abdullah?
Right? You have a sister? Her name is Amira. She's unwell. Allahu mushfiq. Amina, right Allahu mushfiq. And then just mentioned the name, Allah mushy means Allah give healing to to who mentioned the name Allah mushfiq.
Also, if someone is suffering from emotional pain, right, you see the the effect of trauma on them. Right? Or they are in constant agony, right? They're in constant pain. They're in constant worry. Then make the offer them Allah how much people who wish to be Sakuma, who? Allah mushfiqur Rahim Allah heal his heart, and if it's a woman, Allah how much pucallpa her or Allah
heal her heart, wash v suck Omaha or wash v Sakuma, who, that Allah heal his disease or heal her disease?
We learned that jabril Ernie sent him once he came to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam and he asked him that Are you unwell and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said yes so gibreel said Bismillah he archaic min cliche in you v min surely calling of sin our ain and hassad in Allah huya Sheikh Bismillah he or take that In the name of Allah
archaic meaning I recite on you in order to grant you healing but this will be in the name of Allah, of course from Allah and min cliche in up against everything that that pains you, men surely couldn't enough sin, our rain and Hassidim and against the evil of every soul and every evil I write a love we mushfiq May Allah heal you Bismillah he or peek
and of course there are other there are others as well. For example a hula hula are the model but oh shoot are Lima ASV I asked Allah, the great who is the Lord of the great throne that he should heal you. There's the laws for pain. And a lot of these doors actually they can be found in different books, and even apps there's a beautiful app by alhuda and that app is make Dora or the wackadoo ear kind of 13 and in these apps, you can find those for different types of you know ailments as well. So take benefit make sure you have these apps on your phone because when we are in pain, then what happens is that we start looking here and there we start wondering what to do and these days you
can't go to the doctor you know the doctor is not working anymore or you know, it's difficult to book an appointment and things like that. So make sure that you have access to these girls inshallah a link to that can be shared so that you can find them in Sharla does echolocating cathedra szczepanik Allahumma behenic eyeshadow Allah ilaha illa Anta Staffie Luca autoboot Lake wa salam o Alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh
