Why Love Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

In the darkest day for the Ummah,

the most difficult day for the first generations of believers was the day the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam passed away.

The day the revelation ended

the day they could no longer ask him for advice, ask for his opinion, find comfort. In his example,

the day they could no longer go to confirm, approve or disapprove of certain matters.

That day they could no longer see the greatest role model, the greatest mercy for all of mankind sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and no doubt. When the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam passed away, they reflected as we reflect today, that when someone beloved to you departs from this world, you start to remember some of the things that they said, when someone really close to your heart departs and returns back to Allah, you start to think about some of the things that they said in the way they said them, the places they walked, you start to remember certain phrases of theirs perhaps, or certain habits, that this person stood here. And he said that and he walked there, and he liked this

and he liked that.

And of course, if the one who departed is the Prophet salallahu alayhi, salam, and the most beloved and the role model for all of mankind, that the memories are magnified and even greater. They would remember what he used to say so long while he was telling them they would remember his farewell speech to his Salatu was Salam and he would hold on to that message. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam gave a powerful reminder on that day, emphasizing the importance of preparing for your meeting with a law prepare for your meeting with Allah, prepared for your afterlife and your departure from this world. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam on that day reminded the

companions and the Muslims in large numbers about the importance of uniting upon the Quran. The importance of sticking to the Quran and not dividing. The Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam reminded them of the importance of brotherhood, the importance of the reputation, the honor, how sacred it is, the honor of the believer, the Prophet alayhi salaatu wa salaam, reminded them at a time when women had no rights in society, to take care of the rights of the woman in their lives. And the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam reminded those who were listening and those who would convey this later on.

That we are all the children of Adam Alehissalaam. And there's no superiority for an Arab over non Arab or non Arab over an Arab, or someone who's black over someone who's white or white over black. Now, the only thing you have with Allah is you're standing in terms of taqwa, your God consciousness. This was the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. And we learned from his life, how much he cared about the OMA not just the companions that he met, but the people he knew he would meet later on. The people he was shown in different experiences in different times. Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam one day he said, I wish I could meet my brothers, the word that he used was

whiny. And of course in Arabic when you have the masculine by default, it means my brothers and my sisters and the Sahaba they thought, aren't we your brother? So one of them said yada Sula, aren't we your brothers?

And he said unto him, No, you are my US hobby. You're my friends, my companions. However, my brothers and my sisters are those who believe in me, and yet they've never seen me. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is referring to us. He's referring to the unmount until the end of times, and he's referring to us with what term, the term of brotherhood, the term of being close sallallahu alayhi wa sallam that he's looking forward to meet us. May Allah subhanaw taala allow us to meet him in a good state on that day. The Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam, in those 23 years of being chosen to deliver the final message of Allah, in this world to all of humanity, conveyed the

message, taught the Companions train the companions on what to do. And then he departed back to Allah subhana wa Tada. And he left the companions and his followers, including us with a legacy and a mission, to continue spreading that message and to live upon that message. So we're left today in our times in our era with our circumstances, to be amongst those who preserve and live upon and deliver and convey that message for others and we don't want to fail in that responsibility. We don't want to fail. How would you feel meaning the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam on the day of judgment

and your character on that day, you're looking at your record, completely contradictory to the Sunnah that he taught, the mercy that he taught was not there, the love and the compassion not there. The rights of others not there. How would you feel meeting him in that state?

Imagine you meet the Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam, and he asked

See, what did you do with the message that reached you? What did you do with what was preserved of that message? A young man asked, Why as Muslims? Do we emphasize that we need to love the Prophet salallahu alayhi salam so much what are some of the reasons? where the people on earth, the people of righteousness, the people are filtered on, start to love that person. There's love that's placed in their hearts for that individual, like the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. Number three, we love him for his beautiful character, his impeccable manners, his ethics, his morality, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam number four. We know that in order to imitate him to follow Him, we must love the Prophet alayhi salaatu wa Salaam. And so when we say we look up to him and we want to follow Him, we take him as a role model that comes through and magnifies through the love of the Prophet alayhi salaatu wa salaam number five, we love him for the

struggles he went through the hardships he went through the suffering he went through, to make sure that Islam reached us today to make sure that we are able to say La Ilaha illa Allah today, even Taymiyah Rahama Hola, the 14th century he says, As for the reason we love Rasulullah more than anyone else in this world, all the height all the good that we acquire in a dunya is because of his example sallallahu alayhi wa sallam number six. We love him for his love for us and his concern for us. He used to make dua for the Omen every Salah he used to make dua for us in terms of forgiveness in terms of guidance. He used to be thinking about the well being of the UNMISS Allah Allah He was

salam. The Prophet Alayhi Salatu was Salam would be praying. An act of worship that we know is so important that it's the first thing Allah will ask about would be leading prayer and when he would hear the baby's crying and Salah and it seems like the mothers would get distressed like it got extreme, he would shorten the prayer sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. One time a man comes to the Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam and he says, A man who

loves the righteous but cannot catch up to them. It says if he's saying, yeah rasool Allah I can never be at your level but we love you, meaning what will happen to us. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said you will be with the one whom you love, and one of the famous narrations and multiple Mammon. And some companions said, remember this, they said, when we heard these words, it was some of the greatest glad tidings, one of the happiest messages they ever received, that when you die, you will be reunited with the people you love. That's glad tidings. But then there's also a warning. Be careful about the state of your heart that you are not loving people of evil people who

are far from Allah, that your heart is not too attached to them. May Allah subhanaw taala protect us. If you truly love the messenger, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, then you have a chance to be with him in the afterlife. And in general, may Allah subhanaw taala grant us that.

One of the common questions I receive and we hear often, is when somebody asks, How can I increase the chances of seeing the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam in my dream?

They wrote an actual authentic true dream from Allah subhanaw taala. What should I do? What can I do? And the first thing to note is that the devil cannot imitate the Prophet salallahu alayhi salam in terms of the dream, that devil cannot imitate the form of the Prophet alayhi salatu salam. But that brings us to the second point, which is that we need to know the description, the physical description of the Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam based on the authentic reports. And you find many of these in the famous books of compilation and specifically in Shamala Timothy, it's a famous book where you study the description of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam.

And the third is that you must be sincere with ALLAH SubhanA

of Thailand because the more sincere and truthful you are, the more truthful Your dreams are. As the Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam informs us. You must be the kind of person who's thinking of the Prophet often sallallahu alayhi wa sallam who's making dua to be with him in the afterlife not just do out for worldly things. You must be amongst those who reference him often who are reading his Sita often who talk about him often sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. As for his physical description, there's a famous Hadith and it's considered one of the most reliable narrations to know how the Prophet looked sallallahu alayhi wa sallam who was he? So we'll go through this hadith very quickly.

The messenger of allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was neither very tall nor short, but of medium stature amongst his people. His hair sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was neither very curly nor very straight, but it had a slight wave in it. He did not have a big body or around face, but he had a blessed face that was slightly around sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. His complexion was white with some redness in it. His eyes were dark, they were blocked, his eyelashes were long. The joints of his body. Salallahu Alaihe Salam were large as was the portion between his two shoulders. He was broad and fully flushed, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. He had no excessive hair on his body. He had a

thin line of hair running from the trust to the navel. His hands and His feet were fully flushed. And when he walked, he lifted his legs with vigor as if he were descending to a low lying place. And when he addressed a person when he spoke to you when he addressed a person, he turned his whole body towards that person. And this is a sign of respect and attention, emotional intelligence, and the seal of Prophethood was situated between his shoulders. He was the last of all Prophets. He was the most generous, he was the most truthful. He was the most kind hearted and he came from a most noble family. Any person who saw him who met him, would suddenly become all inspired. And anyone who

describes his noble features can only say, I have never seen anyone like the messenger of allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam not before him, nor after him. sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.

If you wish to see him in a dream, out of his salatu salam, then surely you must follow in his footsteps. Surely you must be amongst those who truly love the Sunnah of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, you must be amongst those who have studied or study the Sidra the biography of his life on his salatu salam. And I will say something that might bother some people. But we must be very explicit and frank about this.

If you've gone through your life, and you've had enough time at this point in your life, to have read just one short summarize biography of the Prophet sallallahu Sallam and you didn't one short series, a lecture series, summarizing his life Salallahu Alaihe Salam, and you didn't but you spend and you're able to spend hundreds or 1000s of hours on leisure, entertainment and other things in life. That how much do you really love the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa salam, how can we go through life saying we love him on a salatu salam, and not once wanting to read the entire Sita and a summarize Sita you can read in a few hours, how can we go through our life saying we are Muslims and

we are proud of the Sunnah of the Prophet sallallahu ala he said we will defend him and we don't even know who he is so alojado send them. Some non Muslims have studied his life more than some Muslims in this ummah. We are required to push ourselves and channel if there is an embarrassment or a shortcoming. It is one of the greatest deceptions and that's one of the objectives of marketing and branding of so many companies that have successfully accomplished that, that you buy something because you feel I will feel and I will have more prestige Prophet sallallahu alayhi salam did not care about that. He was so humble with his clothes, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam whatever was around, he wore whatever the people wore, he wore sallallahu alayhi wa sallam so long as it was modest. He wore a turban like

other people wore turbans, Muslims and non Muslims. He wore what some people wear today of a faux dishdasha khalaby or whatever it is, but what did the prophets Allah Sam see it as it was modest clothing, he wore a commies and he wore what the people wore sallallahu alayhi wasallam and we are of course, looking to his example, looking to the cultures around us and seeing that there is flexibility in this around the world with the diversity of our Ummah, so long as some conditions are always fulfilled like the condition of modesty, the condition of covering certain parts of the body, the condition of clothes, not being too tight, that contradicts the objective of modesty that Allah

subhanaw taala revealed for men and for women, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam had different types of clothes. And he liked that which was simple. He liked that which was simple salAllahu alayhi wasallam and he warned us about wearing clothes to show off to look down on other people and that applies the scholar say to everything you have of a dunya do not think because of your home or your car, or your clothes or anything else, that you are better than other people because of your material state. May Allah subhanaw taala protect us the Prophet salallahu alayhi salam like to wear white at times and emphasize the wearing of white clothes because it symbolizes purity and

cleanliness. And it would caution you to be cautious, cautious about your cleanliness. How did he walk sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam, he walked with confidence. He walked with vigor. In fact, the Sahaba said he was not a slow walker, he walked very fast. sallallahu alayhi wasallam like he was determined to get to his destination. As for his food, allergy Salatu was Salam. What people today see in nutrition as a superfood diet, what people today see as something otherworldly and exceptional It'll change your life and they'll sell it for 1000s of dollars have a regimen that was the food of the times the Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam in terms of the types of food aid what the

people ate and had some preferences as well. But when it came to the food portions, he never ate to his film. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa salam warned against that. And the way that he ate was simply to move on fuel for the day, which is the point of food to sustain himself sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam to straighten his back so he was not starving. sallallahu alayhi wasallam and the Prophet alayhi salaatu wa salaam always started with Bismillah and always ended with Al Hamdulillah. And

these are all very simple action items we should be doing as a way of following the Sunnah because we know it's good for us, following the footsteps of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam who never wasted food never complained about food, never threw away food, never left crumbs thinking what they're just crumbs but in fact said there may be Baraka blessings in the last parts of the food on your plate, may Allah subhanaw taala was to fall in his footsteps. As for his speech, he spoke very clearly. he enunciated very clearly, sometimes he would repeat a statement three times so that those who are listening would remember. And this is one of the Sunnah of the Prophet sallallahu

alayhi wa sallam, he never used vulgar language. He never used vulgar language. He never used the vulgar language SallAllahu wasallam and despite the fact that he was the most fearing of Allah,

and the most afraid of the Day of Judgment sallallahu alayhi wasallam. They said we never saw anyone smiling more than Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, the Prophet alayhi salaatu wa salaam joked as well, but when he joked it was always with truth, and never anything inappropriate and never a lie, will never make up something to make people laugh. And he was always on the front lines Salallahu Alaihe Salam, even the battles during some of these battles like the Battle of budget, or you know the long run one of the most fierce warriors. He said, I witnessed the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam on the day of Bezier, the Battle of budget, and we used to stay close to Him for

As for his justice, he was the most fair of people, with his family, with his wives, with his companions with Muslims and even with non Muslims, who would always judge fairly on the Prophet sallallahu alayhi salam in one of the famous narrations. He said that the people before had gone astray, because when one of their nobles would be caught doing something, they would let them go, let them off the hook. And the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam warned against this and he said very clearly, he said by Allah, if Fawlty mother, daughter of Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa

sallam were to steal, I would have her hand cut off. In other words, she would have a legal ruling as well, even the family of the Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam, and so in other words, he was the most just the people. As for his trust in Allah, consider, if you will, an orphan who never met his father. His mother died when he was young, and later on his grandfather as well. honesty, of flawless reputation of being known as the truthful, the trustworthy, he received revelation and now he had to face abuse and being exiled, kicked out. He was a fugitive from his own homelands. sallallahu alayhi wa sallam consider the fact that sometimes he was abused so much he ended up fainting from that abuse. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam faced campaigns that were meant to assassinate his character then and now of course, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was driven out of his home, and when he left and migrated to a place where they thought they would be safe in Medina, there he had to deal with hypocrites as well who would try to betray Him and

assassinate him numerous times. And of course, they would also mutilate and attack his relatives, his followers, his companions, the Prophet sallallahu, ISON had to deal with a slander that they had against, it should only Allahu Allah, His most Beloved, the Prophet sallallahu ISON with all that he went through of 23 years of suffering and struggles, maintain his optimism. And he was the one who used to share that optimism with people who had suffered less than him sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he persisted, with a high standard of ethics and morality. When most people in history when you see their lives very quickly give up their principles, when they go through hardship. The Prophet

sallallahu sallam was the the pinnacle of mercy, when it came to human beings and the rights Muslims and non Muslims, the rights of animals as well and the rights of plants in the environment and the palm tree that used to cry the Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam, this experience that he had with his trust in Allah, his unwavering trust in Allah and his reliance upon Allah subhanaw taala is a sign it is miraculous. Where else can someone have such strength other than from ALLAH SubhanA wa Tada. Allah subhanaw taala is the one who brings life to the dead hearts. Allah subhanaw taala is the one who causes life on Earth itself. Allah subhanho wa Taala is the one who gives us all means of having

life, the spiritual the psychological life as well. Only Allah subhanaw taala could have kept the hearts of the Prophet salallahu alayhi salam, grateful and optimistic and trusting when other people lost their patience and other people lost their justice. And with all of this he remained humble. With all of this, he remained humble and asserted the Allahu Anhu said the Prophet sallallahu wasallam there was nobody that was more beloved to them the Companions than the Prophet alayhi salaatu wa Salaam and yet when he walked in

They did not we did not stand up for him, because we knew how much he disliked that. We knew how much he hated that. The Prophet salallahu alayhi salam, when he studied by non Muslims as well who are sincere in their study, they would admit, and they would write about his integrity and his character, and that there is no one like him. There's a very famous Reverend from the early 1900s by the name of Boston with Smith. He's a reverend and author and he says, and I'm quoting his statement, he says, head of the state as well as the church, he was Caesar and Pope in one, but he was Pope without the post, pretentions and Caesar without the legions of Caesar without an army

without a bodyguard without a police force without a fixed revenue. If ever a man ruled by a divine right or a right to divine, it was Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, for he had all the powers without their supports, and he cared not for the appearance, the dressings of power, the simplicity of his private life was in keeping with his public life, he warned his ummah not to overpraise him SallAllahu wasallam and he said, Do not overpraise me as the Christians overpraise the son of Mary, Jesus out to his son and he says, I am Allah slave. So say, say Abdullah, what are sort of the slave of Allah and His messenger? May Allah subhanho wa Taala allow us to follow in His blessings

footsteps SallAllahu Sallam May Allah forgive us for shortcomings with regards to following the Sunnah and studying the Seto and may Allah subhanaw taala make us all an example for other people to be guided in this world. Allahumma Amin ask Allah for forgiveness, he's the offer giving the Ever Merciful.

Alhamdulillah wa Salatu was Salam ala Rasulillah. Number one, the objective is to increase our love for the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam number two, that we should be studying his life the entire year, we should be studying the Sierra throughout our lives, and not just specific times and occasions. Although we can encourage people to do so at times of the year. Number three, we should

be following his footsteps. I didn't his salatu salam and teaching Muslims and non Muslims teaching youngsters and youth and adults as well remembering the mission of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. So the objective is to increase our love for him out of his salatu salam and he should not be limited to a specific type of occasion or specific time or place. Although again, when the OMA when people are struggling and they're trying to get closer to Allah subhanaw taala they're trying to study the seed of the Prophet salallahu alayhi salam, we should encourage that, so long as we are not going too extreme, so long as we are not doing anything problematic because the Sahaba love the

And when the Sahaba would talk about the Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam, they would be reflecting as you heard in all of these narrations about his character, his mission about the rulings about the details of Islam, because the objective is to follow the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa salam
