with Allah subhanho wa Taala for yet another night in our blessed month, and the worship Allah subhanho wa Taala decreed upon us to complete during this night, we ask Allah subhanho wa Taala to accept it in full. And we ask Allah subhana wa Taala to bless us in the days and nights that remain in our blessed month. Alhamdulillah this much left to go but Subhanallah we cannot turn a blind eye in terms of how much Subhan Allah has already passed so quickly. Before we know it, we will be experiencing the seventh night before we know it Subhan Allah, especially with the work week that we experience living as Muslim minorities, especially in the West Subhanallah once the week begins,

it's literally weekend to weekend. But we ask Allah subhanho wa Taala for baraka and this is a good segue because in sha Allah, today we will speak about Baraka, My Dear Brothers and Sisters in Islam.

I guess Welcome to another episode in our series Surah Yusuf in the 21st century yesterday, we spoke about murky sewers or makan, sorrows and Madani Surahs or Medina sorrows and the differences between them. And the fact that Surah Yusuf is a Moroccan surah and we also discuss the lessons that we can extract from

Because you know, even a verse in light of the whole Quran has characteristics, as realities has functions has benefits as wisdoms Subhanallah which makes the challenge so hard to meet and indeed it is from Allah subhanho wa Taala

by today. For today's session, we move on to the next step. Whenever we read a surah in the Surah of the Quran, we begin that Surah with the best manner. And when we look at the collective evidences in Islam, we see there's a lot of assuredly there's a lot of Islam. There's a a normative reality and Islamic normative reality when it comes to the best manner and that is it is a means of seeking blessings from Allah subhanho wa taala. When we

say Bismillah and begin something in the Name of Allah, we are seeking blessings from from Allah subhanho wa Taala right so before we eat, the Sunnah teaches us to say Bismillah and before we do anything, the Sunnah teaches us to say Bismillah anything, which is obviously of course halal and productive, we say Bismillah this bar here in Bismillah is known as Bell is the Anna, the bear of seeking assistance. So you seeking assistance from Allah, meaning you seeking blessings from Allah in that which you are going to do. So as you recite the surah you say Bismillahi Rahmani Raheem, you're asking Allah subhanho wa Taala to bless your recitation, to bless the rewards of your

recitation, to bless your concentration when you read the surah. And when you read the Quran, this is the function of Bismillahi Rahmani Raheem when you eat, you are asking Allah subhanho wa Taala for his blessings in your food, that it is halal. Number one that your earnings are halal to purchase this food number number two or number three, that you you become big fool with a few or more cells because the muscles that you eat are blessed. When you eat a meal that is blessed. You become fuller with fewer muscles, and Subhanallah once a person came to the Prophet sallahu alayhi wa sallam and by the way, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam taught us this as an etiquette

from the etiquettes of eating to say, Bismillah but also once a person came to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam and said, I eat and I eat but I don't become full Subhan Allah and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, perhaps you eat or don't eat in a gym or in a group, and he acknowledged that he eats alone and from this the scholars deduce that from the means of Baraka when we eat is to eat as a gathering, to eat together with company and as such will become fuller quicker, because that meal in its totality is blessed by Allah subhanho wa Taala and Baraka is this secret reality Subhanallah between Allah subhanho wa Taala and his slave, it's not secret in terms

of us feeling it but it's its secret in terms of of explaining it, it's a gift it's it's a hidden, divine gift that Allah subhanahu atta Allah blesses whom He wills with Subhanallah sometimes we go through days and we feel there's so much abundance in time. There's so many blessings in time Subhanallah we plan to do 10 things and Masha Allah Tabata kala by salata rasa, we've completed authentics Allahu Akbar, but some days we plan to do 10 things and muharram comes and we've only done five things. So Bismillah is a means of seeking blessings and we are in need of seeking Allah subhanahu Attallah as blessings, especially in a time where Baraka feels like it's been lifted, and we live in through a minus sign from the signs

Every year La Ilaha illa Allah it feels nothing events ago no brothers no three months ago Subhanallah it's one year 12 Luna months have expired we already in Ramadan and like I said before we know it seven days we'll be completing the seventh night today we finished the fifth the Jews the seven Jews is around the corner before you know it the first 10 of Ramadan up and what happens when the first 10 is up? You have your eye on the last 10 And when you have your eye on the last 1011 12 1314 1516 Subhanallah it just disappears I mean for me I'm pondering over previous Ramadan said how did it go so quick? So they say this is a day to read the day three, you know, it's not really read day two and day three, but Subhanallah This is how life has become when we hear the stories of our grandparents on on the day how they would meet everybody Subhanallah it was read with three days in one day, that they would pray the Salah and they would meet the community and they would give the sadaqa to fitzer beforehand and they wouldn't wouldn't give it in a rush. It will be done with hair and baraka and blessings and intention and feeling Subhanallah

who want to spread fascia and conquer they want to spread immorality and that which Allah dislikes Don't let these trends cause you to feel Subhanallah inferior cause you to feel weaker cause you to feel that you know what I have to succumb I have to change my ways that they keep changing the goalposts they keep moving it to the left and I was in the middle but every time they move it to the left now I'm seem to be extreme on the right. So I need to move myself I need to reposition myself I need to replace myself. The Quran is saying this is not who you are. A person of Imam or servant of Allah, Oh reader of the Quran, follow the truth and be with the truth and support the truth and be

patient with the truth and you will be successful. And this is a message very early on. In surah.
