Assalamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh when it comes to music, at weddings, there are actually two topics that need to be discussed.
First is for the one who is putting on the wedding party, when they decide to have music at that wedding party. Second is attending a wedding that has music in it and that topic will be discussed in part two of this video, which you can find by clicking in the description box below somewhere now asked for having music at your wedding. I need to clarify first that I'm speaking about how long types of music I'm not speaking about music that is permissible in Islam. And I know what some of you are thinking and panelists, some people might not have clicked on this video for that reason. Some are thinking, but there's a difference of opinion regarding whether musical instruments are
permissible in Islam or not. To that I would say, You're right and wrong. You're right in that there are scholars who consider the musical instruments to be permissible, but you're wrong in assuming that those scholars would consider the music that is played at these weddings to be permissible. Most of the music that is out there today, most of the music that gets played at weddings, there is no difference of opinion regarding that music, a DJ blasting music while aunties and uncles throw it down on the dance floor, there's no difference of opinion regarding that type of music. Those people will use the difference of opinion excuse to justify such type of music or such type of behavior are
really misrepresenting these scholars and their opinions. And you know what? That's not cool. Totally not cool. Look, when we arrange a wedding party, or any event for that matter, we're responsible for what we expose our guests to. And it's one thing to do within yourself and it's another thing to encourage that sin and others or facilitate that sense for other people. And once again, I'll say is it really worth it to start your wedding off in that way? Is it really worth it to start your wedding off in the disobedience of last penalty?
And Allah Subhana Allah knows best. Until next time in sha Allah said I'm on a cul de la here. warahmatullahi wabarakatuh
