So we as believers, when we make a promise, never make a promise that you can't fulfill simple.
You would rather the other person be offended than Allah be offended.
You would rather offend someone in the creation and tell them that look, unfortunately, I'm unable to do this for you. Please forgive me, rather than make a false promise.
By doing so you offend, you won't offend him immediately. But you will offend him later because you won't fulfill it, so he'll be even more hurt. So you will have ended up offending him as well as Allah subhanho wa taala. From the very beginning.

And if you do make a promise, and have every intention of fulfilling that promise,
