Mr Lai Rahman Rahim Al hamdu Lillahi Rabbil Alameen wa Salatu was Salam ala Rasulillah him Hamid Wala. Earlier he was Sahbihi edge marine Abyad Salam aleikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatu. My brothers and sisters around the world wherever you may be. asked Allah subhanho wa Taala to accept our pm I will say, I will do us any high that we do in the month of Ramadan. May Allah subhana wa Tada accept it, magnify it, and may Allah reward us in this dunya in Africa. And I ask Allah subhanho wa Taala to grant all of us a hustle hotma May Allah subhanho wa Taala keep you all safe along with your families Amira, Bella Alameen. So, as we have been doing in this whole series, we have been talking
about the the different branches of faith. And going back to the hadith of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam Narrated by Abu Huraira, or the yellow thunder, there are 70 Odd branches of faith and Iman. So this is pretty much the Hadith that we all are following through. And we are explaining and we're trying to understand that what are those 70 Odd branches of faith, and hamdulillah in some of my previous videos, I've talked about some of the key, some few ones so far. I've talked about acquiring knowledge we talked about yesterday, the importance and the virtues of saying that you ate a lot today one of the branches of faith that Imam I'll be happy Rahmatullah Ali in his very famous
work, Jameer, the sharp Iman, in this book, he talks about one of the key things about our one of the key traits or characteristics of Iman and belief, and that is a connection and re citation of the Quran. Now, subhanAllah when I was actually going through his book, and just trying to understand this, there are so many things that he has mentioned about the Quran, he has talked about the rules of resuscitation, he has talked about what kind of a mindset should we be in, when when I am reciting the Quran? Because there are a lot of people who are reciting the Quran. And sometimes they have even memorize the Quran, and they are reciting the Quran, but their mind their heart is
somewhere else. So what kind of mindset should we be in when we are reciting the Quran, also how we should contemplate upon the Quran, how and who can touch the Quran, who cannot touch the Quran. And not only that, but he also talks about what times of the day is the best when it comes to reading the Quran. But in general, in general, if you actually read his book, there are approximately 50 chapters, yes, 50 chapters just related to the subject of the Quran. And so the most important thing to understand about the Quran, brothers and sisters is that the Quran is a guiding force for all of us, you know, subhanAllah, when we buy something, and you know, when there's something, you buy
something very simple, you know how to operate it. But a lot of times, there are things that are very complex. And you have to always go back to the instruction instruction manual, to understand how to first sometimes assemble it, and then how to utilize it, and how to use it in the best way possible. Now think about this our life there are life is very complex. It there are so many ironies about our lives, there's so many ups and downs about our life. And if there's one thing that can guide us, that can tell us what to do and what not to do. And not only that, but if there's a book that can tell us, the look, the reader, oh reader, there are people who came before you, they did
the same thing as you are doing and this was their result. If we had a book like this, then we can do things that great we can do things in a great way we can do things in a much better way. And that is what the Quran is the Quran is actually the book. And when you and I when we study the entire Quran, Subhan Allah, the Quran is not only just a book on spirituality, the book, this Quran talks about so many things. It talks about the components of Islam, it talks about the components of iman, and as you all know that what are the components of Islam, salatu salam, zakat Hajj, it talks about the components of iman, believing in Allah, His prophets, His angels, the books that were revealed
from Allah, the culture of Allah subhanho wa Taala the day of judgment to have believed that we will be resurrected on the Day of Judgment. The Quran talks about that. The Quran talks about mannerisms, it talks about dietary laws, marriage, divorce, family law and ethics, finance laws and ethics. It also talks about
Business and transactions, psychological concepts, scientific concepts, interfaith, yes, it also teaches us how we should be working with our interfaith communities. It talks about social activism. It tells us stories of the past, because the best way to learn is to learn from our history, as they say, in English. History always repeats itself. Now only that the Quran also teaches us that what is that when it comes to two people of the opposite gender, how they should behave around one another, attire laws, how to deal with people who are considered as you know, the enemies of Islam, people who don't have the best interest of the Muslim community, it talks about criminal law, and the list
goes on and on and on. The things that I just listed before you these are just, you know, things that come to my mind right now. But there are so many things that the Quran talks about. And you know, subhanAllah you know, many of us will think that, what do I get from the Quran? You know, I read the Quran, I tried to understand the Quran, but what do I get from the Quran, and I will share this with you, you know, subhanAllah, go back to the time of Sahaba, or the Allah on him, go back to the seed of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, the the Quraysh. And these people in Makkah, they were a type of people. This was a group of people that no king wanted to come and rule over
this land. I mean, because the system that they had in place, the tribal system that they had in place, was something very different for many rules at that time. And so think about this, what the Quraysh were and who were the heroes before Islam came, and what they became after Islam. I mean, there are so many quotes that we find him suddenly Sahaba are the alotta on whom the who were we before Islam, and who are we after Islam, when the muscles went to Abyssinia when the muscles went to Abu senior, and you have Jaffa or the Ultra and he's coming to the inner Joshi and he's telling him, who were we before Islam, and what kind of a nation we became after Islam, what was the power
behind that? What led them to become such amazing people? It was the Quran and if you study history, throughout you know study history of mankind, there is not a single text, there is not a single text that has such an impact. And that brought such a transformation within a society the way the Quran did. The Quran has changed lives, the people, the lives and the lives of many people. And so this is why it is so important that you know when it comes to Muslims, especially Muslims, who have you know, who are born in Muslim families, they may not understand the Quran Allah times we say that we just read the Quran because I have to, or I'm connected to the Quran because I'm a Muslim, but
brothers and sisters the Quran has so much to offer Wallahi the Quran is such an amazing book. And you know, the the truth behind the Quran is the more you go into the Quran, the more you dive deeper into the Quran, the more it will open up its amazing aspects. And that's what we need, you know, usually we just get to the surface, just the bare basic bare minimum, and we don't get anything and we simply say, You know what, I don't want to connect with the Quran. But the Quran is such that you just gotta go deep and deep and deep. And this is why when it comes to the Quran, I mean there are many things many aspects that we can through which we can connect with the Quran. One is to read the
Quran, Allah subhanho wa Taala when he calls the Quran, the Quran. The reason why is because the word Quran linguistically means a book that is read, abundantly, a book that is read over and over again And subhanAllah that's exactly what the Quran is, you know, no matter how many times we have recited one surah we will always go back and recite that same Surah how many how many of us we know sort of a class, we know sort of coauthor, we know the last 10 surahs. But it does not matter how many times we will keep on reading that Surah Have you ever read a letter, you know, some people, they read letters, some people will read articles, somebody will watch a movie or something like
that. Think about if you did this one thing over and over again, imagine reading one article, you read it two, three times, four times, your heart is not going to be in it on the fifth time. Anything that you read, it's not going to be there anything that you come across, you always want a new experience. The Quran Subhan Allah is amazing in that sense, that normally no matter how many times we have read the Quran. Every time when we come across a same idea as the Quran, and we understand it differently. There's only one thing that comes to our mind and there's only one thing that comes on our tongue, and that is Subhan Allah. And so that's the beauty of the Quran. So read
it, reflect upon the Quran, learn Tajweed when you know how to read the Quran
With the correct pronunciation, you feel proud that I'm reading the Quran the way it is supposed to be read. When Allah says what did in the Quran, Antarctica, I know the Athan, he explained that as the drill through family fertile woof, it is to know how to correctly pronounce the letters and to know where to stop and where not to stop. This is what the dream is. So learning how to read the Quran with Tajweed not only that, take it a notch higher learn the Arabic language, do not learn the Arabic language that I can communicate with someone learn the Arabic language so you can understand the Quran. So we can understand the hadith of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and then
another aspect of connecting with the Quran, memorize it, understand it. These are just few ways I've shared with you that we can connect with the Quran. But it is important that we remain connected with the Quran. And I just want to share with you a few a hadith of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. First of all, this is a Hadith that Imam Al very happy Rahmatullah la he has mentioned in his book, and he is he mentioned that this is a Hadith narrated by zebra Arkham Rhodiola on where the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam he was giving a sermon delivering a sermon. And he says in the 31 fee come Asaka lane, I am leaving behind you or within you to heavy
matters. A willow Houma. The first of them is Kitab Allah, it is the book of Allah subhanho wa taala. And then he says, Fi alHuda were known for two things the Prophet saw somebody mentioned, he says it is a means of guidance. Okay, it is a means of guidance. Now, let's try to understand this first. Allah subhana wa Tada in the Quran. He also says, Shadow Rama vana levy on zfp Hill Quran, the month of Ramadan is the month where the Quran was revealed. And then he says, who then leanness it is a means of guidance, that, you know, the first thing that we say is that you don't when someone pitches us something, or you know, they pitch us an offer so forth. We say Do you have proof
of what you're saying? Allah subhanaw taala and so the Bukhara when he's talking about the Quran, he says, It is not only a means of guidance, but you may ask that Do you have proof that it is a means of guidance, and that Allah says the Quran is not only just guidance, while Bayona didn't mean alHuda it has proves that it is the means of guidance. And not only that, he's he said Allahu alayhi wa sallam going back to the Hadith, he says, It is a means of guidance. And number two is when nor a provides a light into your heart. You know, in the Arabic language, * means light. There's also another word that has a meaning of light and that that word is the there's a difference between both
Leah is that kind of light. That imagine when we are sitting at our home it is daytime, and we can see everything. And then you have this this Lea that's coming in from the sun, or this light that's coming from outside because it is daytime, it does help us you know see things better. But we can already see things from before that node is a different kind of light. node is a light that imagine it has a pitch dark night, or the room is completely darkened. And then you have a small light or imagine if it is completely dark. And then I take out my phone and I turn on the flashlight. Now you're able to see what's around you. That's called Nora. So why does it Allah called the Quran Nora
is because when your heart and when our heart is filled with the darkness of gopher and is filled with the darkness of disobedience to Allah subhanho wa Taala this Quran becomes a node, it then sheds light and it tells us what is good for us and what is bad for us. Imagine if I'm in a room and I know that there's a snake in that room. Okay, imagine there's a snake in that room and is a poisonous and a venomous snake. But I have no idea where it is. It is a dark room. But if I have light, I can see where that snake is and I can stay away from it. When our hearts brothers and sisters is devoid of the remembrance of Allah is devoid of the obedience of Allah subhanho wa Taala
and shaytaan is lurking around, we have no idea where he can attack us just like that snake. But if you and I we have the EMA that node of Eman that node of Allah subhanho wa Taala that node of the Quran that node from ALLAH SubhanA wa Taala then we're able to see where we are going. And then the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam he says Fatima circle be Kitab Allah. So now that you know that it is a means of guidance is also provides a new
In light to your heart and into your life, it is important that they you hold on for the Messiah who hold on tightly, not just the you know loosely tightly to the book of book of Allah subhanho wa Taala what who they will be and hold on to it and grab it. And other Hadith the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam he says Kitab law Hubbell Allah, the book of Allah subhanho wa Taala is the rope of Allah subhanho wa taala. Now, I want you to understand this. Imagine if I come to a well, and I want to get water out of the well, how do we do that? We have a bucket and I have a rope. Now just imagine if I did not have the rope. Is there any possible way I can get water out of that? Well,
absolutely not. When imagine if you have a rope and you put you put your bucket into the well. And as you're pulling out the bucket of water imagine that rope snaps. Is there any way we can get that water? No. Die rope is what connects us to what is above. When we say that the Quran is hobble Allah is a rope of Allah subhanho wa Taala that it is as if this is our lifeline and this is the way we can connect to Allah subhanho wa Taala if I don't have the book of Allah in my life, there's no way this role can be established with Allah subhanho wa taala. And then the Prophet of Islam says, money tuber or who can or cannot and who the whoever follows it, whoever applies it in their life, they
will remain on guidance woman Taraka who can I love Allah Allah and whoever discards it, whoever leaves it see once again brother and sisters is not just about you know, a person says I'm Muslim may say that what I read the Quran, but if the Quran is not in our life if the Quran is not our primary focus in life, just like I showed you a lot on how she said about the clock and the character of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam can Hulagu Al Quran? Yes, she says that his character is the Quran. So this is why the Quran has to be in our life, if we are just simply reading it, but we are discarding, discarding it, and we are rejecting it. And we simply just don't
care and we are oblivious to the teachings of the Quran. Then as a Prophet alayhi salam says, If we leave it, we will be on misguidance if not, Vasily Allah to run on Houma. He says that he mentioned from the Hadith from Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and he says in the Lavie Lisa fee JioFi. He shaped me in the Quran, called bathe in Hadith. He's Allahu alayhi wa sallam said that he indeed in the one and whose life in the the one in whose life there is no Quran, he says, lays a few JioFi in his heart, or in his life shake on, you know a che on is the smallest thing is che on. He says he who does not have any ounce of the Quran in his life is like a deserted house. Have you ever
been to a house that is completely deserted, cabinets are falling off, sink is falling down, you know, the walls are getting weaker and weaker. And eventually the entire house collapses. And that's what happens. You know, this is something very beautiful. I'm going to finish on this. Just like we see a house that is absolutely you know, abandoned. After a while it just crumbles down. When we reject when we neglect the Quran. And as a prophet saw some says that in whose heart there is no aspect of the Quran. We don't see the repercussions right away, we will see the results in the consequences of neglecting the Quran. After some time, just like the house it will collapse not
right away. But after years and years and after months and months, it gets weak and weak and is going to collapse. And this is what happens to a believer when they neglect the Quran. So once again, I ask Allah subhana wa Taala that May He give us ability to connect with the Quran? May Allah subhanaw taala give us ability to memorize the Quran, read the Quran correctly understand the Quran May He give us the tofield to ponder and reflect upon the Quran. And I promise you once again that when it comes to the Quran, the more you say the Quran, the more you learn the Quran, Subhan Allah people, you know people who have really gave gave in and they have understood the Quran they will
tell you that it is such an amazing experience. The journey of the Quran is an amazing experience. And this is not just a journey, like I'm traveling from here to overseas. When I get to my destination, I'm done. No, this journey of the Quran will go on for the rest of our life. But we have to keep on improving that relationship. Ask Allah subhana wa Tada to give all of us ability to improve our relationship with the Quran and to fulfill to fulfill its rights immunoblotted me till tomorrow is that Kamala hired salam Wa alaykum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
