before we actually get into the different branches of faith and Iman, today, I want to take this opportunity and talk about some of the different terms that are related to the subject of Islam and Iman and so forth. And that means that there are when we open the books of al Qaeda. And when we study theology, we learned that there are different words that are related in this subject matter. For example, I want to talk about quickly that there are two terms that we all are very familiar with one is golfer and want to shake, go for it means to simply reject a message or to simply to either reject a message to not believe in something or it also means to be unthinkable to Allah

And by the way, these are two different terms, because in the life of the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and even till today, we find people who are associating partners with Allah subhanho wa Taala that is Schick and hence, the person who is committing Sheikh is called a mushrik. That means that even Subhanallah we find even Muslims today who commit shidduch those who go to the graves, and they worship graves, and they do sujood in front of graves and so forth. That is a form of shipwreck. Then on the other hand, you have kufr, as I said, that that is to reject the message of Allah subhanho wa taala. And there are people who believe in Allah, but

they reject another message. For example, if a person says I believe in Allah, but I reject the message, or I reject the fact that Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is the final messenger, then that is a form of kufr. If a person says, I believe in Allah, and I believe in the messenger, but I reject, okay, I reject Salaat or cm or zakat, or hij, then that is a form of kofod. So this is the difference between shirk and kufr. Now we come to the subject of iman. Oh, actually, before Iman comes in Islam, because going back to the hadith of Gibreel, Allahu Salam, there are three questions that everybody some asked, he asked, first of all, what is Islam? Then he asked Iman, and then he

asked thoroughly about air sun. So first of all, what is the definition of Islam? As we have talked about in some of the previous videos, Islam is to simply make a verbal declaration that Allah is one there is none worthy of worship but him and that Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is the final messenger. Now going back to the Hadith algebraic Islam, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that Islam is to believe in the Oneness of Allah, and to perform salaat, to perform cm, to give zakat and to perform your Hajj. And he says, if you have the capability to do so, now, when we see this, first of all, is that imagine that a person is not even a Muslim, when they come into the fold

of Islam, they take the shahada there are simply into the fold of Islam. Now, even Islam has a wide spectrum too. So if a person they are doing the basic bare minimum, which is what the for other things, salaat, cm, Zakat and hij then that is still considered as acceptable to Allah subhana wa taala. In fact,

We find that if a person does even that bare minimum, and they stay away from the major sins, then that will lead a person to Jannah to yes, that will lead a person to Jannah. So there is a Hadith also narrated by Paul Harbin always a lot of yellow line, that a man came to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam told him and he was inquiring about Islam. And the Prophet alayhi salam said, to perform five times daily prayers. Now, once again, let's I want to I want you to pay attention here. Because once again, this man is not asking about Iman, he's saying What is Islam? He's asking What is Islam. So the Prophet says, to pray five times

a day. And then he says, that Salah who it was I love that there are more that you can do, there is no offense and more extra that you want to do if you want to do them. Then the Prophet SAW Allah some in Fornia, informed him about fasting. And he said that there is a mandatory fast, which is in the month of Ramadan. However, if you want to do more, you can do more. And then he also told them about charity, what is the cause, which is mandatory, he told him about that. But then he also informed him that there is more ways that you can give charity if you wish to do so. And this man stuck at the basic bare minimum. Later on when this man had left the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa

sallam he said that if this man because this man before he left, he said, I'm going to only stick to the basic bare minimum, five times daily prayer, nothing more than that. I'll give my zakat which I need to and nothing more than that, I will fasten on Milan, and nothing more than that. And the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he said, If this person does stick to what he is saying, he will do. If he is saying the truth, he will succeed. The Prophet Allah is I'm saying he will succeed. And the aroma they mentioned that this actually means that he will be in Jannah. And that is true. So therefore, this is what Islam is. Now, imagine if a person does actually commit sins, or

let's just say a person says, I will not want is I do believe in Allah. I do believe in the prophet, but their life is full of sins, and their life is full of major sins, and all types of sins, and they don't praise the Lord or they don't praise they don't give their Zakat, and they don't fast the month of Ramadan. And we have, unfortunately we have in the OMA today many people like that. So are they considered as Muslims or not? Now, of course, there is a Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, wherein he says that a person who does not pray he is linked with Cofer, we know that there's a hadith about like this. However, I will be honest to say that there is much

discussion amongst the Allamah as to what does this mean? Some people can take it very literally, some people take it somewhat metaphorically, an opinion that I came across, which I personally value is the opinion of Mufti Mohammed, Hassan sobre, la la. And he mentioned that this means that a person who does not pray, and they have no regret that they have not prayed. And they think that it is not important to pray, then that can lead a person to suffer. But if a person has genuine regret, and they are not doing anything, but they do believe in Allah, then they fall into the category, which is they are Muslim, but they're also a fast ship. They are a fast ship. And the question is,

what is the definition of fast ship, first of all, a means to leave something okay to leave something or to be disobedient. So in when it comes to even Fisk, there are many different levels. Also, it's not that all of them are the same level. So a person will probably have to go to jahannam. And he will have to compensate for his sins that he has committed. But eventually you will go to Jana one day because of his Islam, because of the fact that he believed in the Oneness of Allah. And he believed in Rasulullah sallallahu, ala he was setting up and this goes back to the other Hadith of the Prophet alayhi salam, we're in he says, that whoever says law either in Allah,

whoever believes in Allah, they will go into Jannah. And the Sahaba even asked that what if he commits a Zina? What if he commits on theft, what ends and our installer? And the Prophet SAW Allah Islam says we're in Zina were installed and this is a very long Hadith, but in this hadith, we find that the Prophet sallallahu it was some he also mentioned that if a person does commit Zina, and he does come in Saft, eventually when time will come that he will go into Jana. Likewise, another Hadith the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says manakala in Allah, the halal Jana, whoever says La Ilaha illa Allah, eventually they will go into Jana. Yes, they may have to compensate for their

sins, they may have to go to jahannam We ask Allah subhanaw taala to protect us all in this dunya and akhira honorable Alameen so then that comes to the next subject which is what is a fast

up. And as I said earlier, a facet is that person who commits sins commits major sins. And if a person stays away from the major sins, then this person he'll be admitted into Jannah. Now, when we talk about sins we find in the Quran the word fossa or fast sick has been related to Gopher, and it has also been related to people who commit major sins. For example, when Allah subhanaw taala talks about shaytaan that when Allah subhanaw taala said to shaytaan first person to do Illa Iblees the Quran says that he ignored the message of Allah subhanho wa Taala he ignored the instruction of Allah. there are four signs of a monastic number one is when he talks he lies when he is entrusted with something. he betrays that trust. When he is when he gets into a conversation or a, an argument, he resorts to profanity, these are things that the Prophet sallahu alayhi wa sallam he has talked about. So in that kind of situation, this is not necessarily true that he is necessarily a Munna. FIP he may have traits of a mafia, but no one can say that he is truly a mafia that will fall and also into the category of fast ship, but it is a lighter level of a fist. Likewise we find in the Quran when Allah talks about the rules and the instructions of taking debt and giving us a loan.

Actually, it goes into the heart. And so Iman is not just about the external actions, it has to do with someone with the external actions, but it

also has to do with the heart. Okay, believing in Allah subhanho wa Taala this is why this is why the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam in the next question when he was asked that what is Iman? You know what you said? He says unto me Nabila, that is to believe in Allah and to believe in it.

Angels and to believe in the prophets and to believe in the, the scrolls and the books that were revealed by Allah is to believe in the last day the day of judgment is to believe in other in divine decree that it is purely from Allah subhanho wa taala. This is part of iman. And if you look at all these things, majority of these things have to do with what with the heart when we talk about Allah, to believe in his Rubia in his oluwo, here in his USMA, and SIFAT, and so forth. All this has to do with what with the heart. And so Eman has to do with the heart. And it also has to do with the tongue because we will talk about this later on in sha Allah, if we get a chance that there are

things that we should be saying, and things that we should not be saying things that we say, that is not a sign of iman. And there are things that we shouldn't be saying, that is a testimony of our iman. And then there are some physical elements. For example, the prophet sal Allahu Allah. He was some he says that anyone who frequents the masjid anyone who goes to the masjid on a frequent basis, give testimony on my behalf, that he has faith. So this also has to do with physical actions. But when we talk about Iman, when we talk about Iman, and I've said earlier, there are 77 branches of iman, the more the branches that we apply in our life, the more higher Iman or Iman is going to be.

Now if I have only few branches of iman in my life, I act upon only on few of them, then we cannot compare ourselves to a person who has done more than us, who has more characteristics of iman in their life. And the more that we do, the more that we do, the more the better of Jana we will get in the Hereafter, because a person who has a higher level of iman, their agenda is going to be better than the person who has low Iman. And what about a person who's only who's a Muslim, and they do only the basic basic bare minimum. They'll also be given a Jana, but they will have a lower Jana. And so this is why the question I need to ask all of you and I know the answer is going to be what?

That if I were to ask you what type of Jana Do you want? Do you want a basic Jana? Or do you want an amazing Jana? And you know, I always give this example to help you understand, if I were to give you two options, okay? When it comes to a car, for example, which one would you want? Now both cars, they take you from point A to point B, they both do the same exact thing. But if I were to give you two options for example, if I were to give you an example of a of a Kia, for example, and nothing against anyone who's driving a Kia May Allah bless you immensely. But imagine imagine you're driving a Kia and I give you the option that between a Kia and a a Tesla. It's a no brainer. Everyone's

gonna go for a Tesla, it's a more luxurious car. And so this is why it's important to understand that we should always strive for the higher Jana. Last thing I will say regarding Iman, is that when it comes to Iman, the more that we do, the more we push our limits and the more we push ourselves, the higher the Iman we're going to have. And I'll finish on this in sha Allah, you know, going back to the Sahaba of the Allah Tehran home, and even the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, we all know that the Prophet salallahu Salam, he will do so much throughout the year, he will fast on Mondays and Thursdays, he would fast on the three wide days of every single month. And then not only

that, but he would fast during other times of the year, he would pray throughout the day. But when it comes to the Lavon, we see from the love of the Prophet SAW Salem, he will always go and he will always push himself and do more and more and more. Likewise, this habit of the alotta and home, they always would find opportunities, and they will try to find you know, chances to do more and more and more. Brothers and sisters the month of Ramadan is the month to push ourselves forward. Whatever we can do in this month, and sha Allah it will last two it will last with us even after Ramadan in sha Allah. If I make a habit right now in Milan to read Quran in sha Allah I will read the Quran even after Ramadan.

So this is why the mantra Milan and this is the more we push ourselves the more our Eman will increase. This is the most important thing of this entire video is we push ourselves and when we push ourselves then it will give difficult most certainly it will get more difficult. Challenges are going to come from Allah

Subhan Allah Allah, but the more we push ourselves, the more we will go high. Just to think about this, imagine if I went right now in the atmosphere upwards, the more higher I will get, the more difficult it will become for me to breathe, right? But that's how you move forward. And that's how you move upward. Likewise, if I want to move forward and upward, it's going to get difficult, but I gotta keep on pushing myself and that will bring emotion into our life. So ask Allah subhanaw taala to give all of us the ability to act on dissenter heard May Allah subhanaw taala give us the ability to do more so we can increase in our faith. And finally as I have done for the last few days,
