Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu brothers and sisters and welcome to Ask Muslim. So we want to look at an important question today and that is do we have to recite the whole por en in total we're so the first thing that we want to look at is what is the ruling of reciting the whole port and scholars they tell us mmm No, we mentioned this he has he actually has a very interesting book the titles about the manners and etiquettes of the those who carry the poor and, and he mentions that reciting the whole Quran is a tremendous blessing from Allah azza wa jal, and that person is rewarded for doing all of this accordingly. recite the whole core, and whether it be in Ramadan, or total we or any other time of the year, in Sha, Allah hooter, Allah, you are still rewarded for the effort. So that's the first thing that you have to understand is that the prophets I send them never ordered us to recite the whole core and at any time of the year. But when it comes to the month of Ramadan, one of the reasons why people are so passionate about doing this is of course, because of the blessings in the month of Ramadan, as the prophets I said, have told us that the blessings are 10 times more in another generation, even 70 times more, so blessings are multiplied. So that's the first point. The second point here, when
it comes to reciting the whole Quran is certain etiquettes that some of the massages have, when they do this, you'll find that some massages just to reach the deadline of finishing the whole core. And so some massage will set the deadline that I have to finish the whole end on the 27th ninth of Ramadan. Why because that is the strongest candidate of later to a puddle of the last 10 nights of Ramadan. That is okay, but it's a problem. It's a problem at the same time when you stipulate that in the month of Ramadan. In other words, imagine if you finish the Quran before the 27th or after the 27th. Clearly, this is going to send the message as though you've done something wrong or you
didn't fulfill that goal. And you don't want to send that kind of message because in and of itself, it's just a preference that you make that the 27th night, I want to finish the whole course. And so you have to make sure that you present that perception to the gemera. And to the rest of the congregation, that this is not something that has to be done. But it's just one of those little things that you try to do because of the blessings behind it. The third point, the third point, it comes with the etiquettes of how Quran is recited. In total, we there are three levels of recitation of the poor and one of those levels is that the Horan is recited in the total we have style. What
does that mean? And that means is that when in total with you'll be reciting the Quran faster than you would normally if you were sitting down or just practicing the forehand privately. So the recitation is much quicker than it usually is. And this is, of course, to facilitate the time that you have for the total we but the issue here is brothers and sisters is that all three of these levels of reciting the Quran still have one thing in common, and that is you must give the poor and and it's recitation, it's help and it's right. In other words, you have to recite the Quran with all of its Tajweed rules with all of its rules and principles. And you cannot chew up the letters of the
horn because this defeats the whole purpose of reciting the Quran in the first place. And even in the heartland of Allah azza wa jal tells us to recite the poor end with Thomas Tila with beautiful recitation with Tajweed rules and all of its help and principles. So a person cannot take those things away, because this is the right of the poor and what it has upon us. Even some scholars went as far as saying that if a person recites the poor end quickly, and hastily and hastened through the recitation, then the solid itself doesn't count. Can you imagine that? The Soma itself doesn't count simply because they're just parroting the words of Allah azza wa jal and the Quran and you don't
want to do that. It's very disrespectful to Allah's words, it's very disrespectful to the prayer and then it puts the validity of the prayer in jeopardy. So so many different problems come out of this when the Quran is recited in that manner. So having said that, brothers and sisters, were citing the whole Quran in the month of Ramadan is a blessing you should try to do it but if you can, you are rewarded for your effort in sha Allah, so nothing goes to waste. And when it comes to throw away the sin of the Torah, we recite any soda that is easy for you. It is also recommended to recite some of the longer suitors that you know, because that will still preserve the feel of the tahajjud or the
