A lot of us we focus on cardio, why because we want to improve the we want to condition our heart we want to improve the health and maintain good health. The concern about our physical hearts but what about our spiritual hearts? Are we accessing our spiritual hearts? How light are they? How pure are they? And how clean are they? Let me share another Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, to put things in perspective and the Prophet peace be upon him is reported to have said the narration goes along the lines of these words.

why I started off by saying that we have a spectrum and we have those of us who are on one end and others who on the other end is because a lot of us we strive hard to do good deeds. We strive hard, very hard. And think about it reflect for a moment. You're here, smack in the middle of the day for salatu. Juma for what ask yourself why are you here? You're here to obviously please Allah subhanho wa Taala you are here to avoid sin. Because if you don't pray Serato Juma even you're able to then you're sinning, right?

Because otherwise it's going to become like a leaking bucket. You know what the analogy of a leaking bucket is? Let's say you have a bucket, a big bucket

and you're walking kilometres you're walking miles to get water. Your walk now a very long distance, let's say five or 10 kilometres with a bucket, and you're filled the bucket to take water back home. Now you have to walk back another five to 10 kilometres. Would it make sense to take a bucket with holes? Would any one of us take a bucket with holes? Would it make sense it won't make sense, right? Because by the time you walk back, you would have lost all the water that you went for. So similarly, my dear brothers in Islam, along with doing all these good deeds, if you do not protect your tongue, if you do not protect your heart, on the day of Yama, it's going to be a very

unfortunate scene that will unravel.

There are a hadith to the effect, where individuals will stand in front of Allah azza wa jal expect him to see their good deeds. They have spent so much for the sake of Allah. They've done so much for the sake of Allah and they're expecting to be handsomely rewarded by Allah azza wa jal.

And yes, they will see the mountains of good deeds, eventually transforming into mountains of sins. Why? Because they indulged in the veba, the back bit about others, backbiting NEMA, caring tales about others, their hearts, they thought bad about others.

and so. I heard this about so and so. Or, you know, what his dealings are like this? Oh, you know, he's running around in this because of this.

Or, you know, he's involved in this. He's involved in that. You know, we don't even hesitate, we don't bat an eyelid.

We talk about other people's families, other people's businesses, other people's marriages, other people's children, almost as if we are lily white.

Don't we? Aren't we ashamed of ourselves? Are we saints? Are we angels to do this?

And look at the words of the Prophet. He says if you said something negative about your brother in his absence, and if that was actually true, then that is Riba. On the other hand, if it is alive, then that is even worse than the V but it is Bhutan. It is oppression. The Riba in and of itself is is oppression, this is a greater form of oppression, you have lined

up my dear brothers in Islam, you have to take it very seriously.

You see, if you fall short with regards to one of your rights that you have to fulfill with regards to Allah subhanho wa Taala Allah is the most forgiving I've spoke about this so many times, you know, during this last month of Ramadan in Allah has a four in the MaHA Rahim Allah is Most forgiving, Most Merciful, He will forgive you. But you see when you backbite about someone, the forgiveness of Allah, remember this mark my words is hinged.

You don't utter whatever comes to your mind and rolls off your tongue. You have to be extremely extremely careful. Because from your deeds being destroyed, to you being punished in the grave to you standing in front of Allah and losing all your deeds to not entering Jana. Chef, where did you get that from? when I was taken on my night journey, during his run, Miraj, I passed by a people who had metal hooks in their hands. these are the ones who eat the flesh of people and attack their honor. You know, this example of eating the flesh of others, it is backbiting.

It is backbiting

you have to you have to be extremely careful about this.

Otherwise, you're going to end up spoiling your good deeds. And before I conclude, I want to touch on one more thing.

Listen to me attentively. You are in a gathering

and someone is backbiting but someone else.

Now, what is the responsibility of Mr. A and Mr. B?

Like the first Hadith that I shared with you all the people who will enter Jannah and their hearts are going to be like the hearts of birds. So I conclude by sincerely praying that Allah subhanahu wa taala helps each and every one of us to transform our hearts to become pure and light hearted. Where we do not hold grudges against others. We do not hold envy against others. Yeah, Allah help us to purify our hearts help us to eliminate toxic elements from our hearts. Help us to think good thoughts about others Yeah, Allah help us to give the benefit of doubt to others. Yeah, Allah help us to make excuses for others. Yeah, Allah help us to defend the rights the honor of our brothers

and sisters. Yeah, Allah help us to stay away from this pit of backbiting. Help us to stay away from this pit of minima carrying tales that Allah do not deprive us Yama. Do not deprive of deprive us of Jannah because of backbiting. Do not destroy our good deeds but help us to stay away so that our deeds are not destroyed through backbiting. Yeah, Allah. Allah help us to guard our tongues help us to purify our hearts, bless us with polluted Salim with pure light and clean hearts. And just as how you united us here for this sermon, united in the beautiful and lofty gardens of Jana. the companionship of our beloved prophet muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa alayhi wa sallam.
