History Hajj 22 Farewell Sermon

Assalamu alaykum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh Bismillah al Rahman al Rahim Al hamdu lillah wa salatu salam ala Nabi he almost of our that, my dear brothers and sisters Welcome to another episode in the series of history of Hajj. Today's episode is quite interesting because insha Allah in this in the next few minutes we'll discuss the Farewell Sermon, which is delivered by Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Sallam in his head, which is also known as the farewell Hajj because he died soon after he performed Hajj, where he led over 100,000 Muslims in this pilgrimage. In fact, Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam delivered three sermons, one on the ninth day of the month of April

hija, which is the day of Iraq, it was a very powerful speech. And it is also known as a Farewell Sermon. Because from the tone of the Prophet sallallahu Sallam it sounded as if it is was a year to model a person who was given a farewell the way that he began his speech by reminding the audience to listen attentively pay close attention, and may not be here next year amongst you, things of this nature. Also, he delivered another speech on the day of and now, which is the following day, the 10th day of the month, will hedge and that is also perceived as a Farewell Sermon. And there was a third one, which was delivered on the 11th or the 12th day, the middle day of amo tertiary, in in

You can figure it out from listening and studying the speeches of the Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam, it was indeed we'll see you tomorrow, and advice, a speech of somebody who's given a farewell. So we're going to learn some very important notes and advices of the Prophet sallallahu Sallam which represent the constitution of the Muslim ummah, that the Prophet sallallahu Sallam wanted to put a lot of emphasis on. Especially he repeated them in his speeches during this Hajj, because of their importance and their significance. Also, when the Prophet sallallahu sallam was addressing the pilgrims and the Companions,

some of the companions were conveying his message because in the large number of audience

One of the audience interrupted the speech of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and he asked him all prophet of Allah, is it every year? If equally do we have to perform Hajj every year? So the prophets Allah, Allah, Allah Salam deliberately ignored his question and did not answer it. Then he turned to the other direction and he resumed talking. So again, the same companion came to him from the other direction. And he interrupted his talk, and he presented the same question.

Three times. So finally, the Prophet salallahu alayhi salam replied by saying, Have I said yes, it would have become mandatory, and it would burden you and no one can afford to do it every year. There are only leave me alone as long as I do not inform you that it is obligatory every year, which means I just said it is mandatory to perform Hajj. And I didn't say every year because people could not afford to do it, every single year. And Allah Almighty said lie you can live Allahu nevsun In Nosara. Allah Almighty does not lay any commandments on any soul beyond its capacity, in addition to Hajj itself is only a duty and the fifth pillar of the deen upon those who can afford the means when

And now brothers and sisters without any further ado, let's learn some very important lessons which have presented the Muslim doctrine in his farewell speech SallAllahu Sallam where he began his speech by saying, after praising Allah Almighty and sending the peace and the blessings upon His messenger, he said, oh people lend me an attentive ear, for I know not whether f

This year, I shall never be amongst you

or I shall ever be amongst you. Then he said, listen to our I have to say to you very carefully, and take these words to those who could not be present here today. So he commanded the audience to convey his message to those who did not attend. And indeed, the Companions deliver the message with absolute honesty. He said, salallahu Alaihe Salam, Beware of satan, for the safety of your religion, he has lost all hope that he will ever be able to lead you astray in big things, meaning in converting you into disbelief after Allah Almighty have brought you into faith, monotheism and belief. So beware of following him in things which are lesser than that, other sins. So I shaytan

despaired of converting the believers into disbelief, but he did not lose hope in whispering to them, to make them in knowledge into other major sins, or minus signs. So beware of that. Then he said, sallallahu alayhi salam, O people, just as you regard this month, this day, the city as sacred so regard the life, the property,

and the honor of every Muslim as a sacred trust. In another Hadith, the Companions narrated that the Prophet sallallahu Sallam first asked them, and that was also on the day of an Aha. Which is your Mahajan, Akbar, or the day after he threw the stones and offered his sacrifice. He said, all people, which day is today? So the companion said, we thought that he's going to give it a different name. So said Allah and His Messenger know best. He said, Isn't it the day of a nap?

Isn't it

the day of offering the sacrifice? They said, Yes, indeed. Then he asked them which month is it? So we thought that he is going to give it a different name. Every one of the attendees knew that it is really the month of the ledger. And this day is the eighth day. And also we are in the city of Mecca. Then again, he asked, Which city is it? Isn't it the city of Makkah?

They said yes, after they said, Allah and His Messenger know best, the reason why the companions did not simply give an answer, which they already know, because they thought that the Prophet sallallahu Sallam may give it a different name so out of politeness, they said Allah and His Messenger know best. What the Prophet sallallahu sallam was aiming at, by presenting the searcher cushions is to remind all the audience that we are in a sacred city, the most sacred place on earth. And we are in a sacred month, which is the month of your hijab, and you are on a sacred day, the day of Yamana. So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam has said, Indeed, your lives, your bodies, your souls, your

wealth, and your honor, are all as sacred as the sacredness of the city in this month, in this day. So the Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam wanted to bring to the attention of the audience, those who are prison with him during this day and those who are to come afterward, the sacredness of the life and the sacredness of the honor and the wealth of the believers which must be respected. Then the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam

receipt, return the goods entrusted to you to their rightful owners, emphasizing the importance of honesty and trustworthiness, then he commended hurt no one so that no one may hurt you. Remember that you will indeed meet your Lord and He will indeed a con your deeds. Then he reminded the audience saying Allah the Almighty has forbidden you to take rebar usually, therefore all interests obligation shall be abolished. Your capital, however, is used to keep and you will neither inflict nor suffer any inequity. Allah has judged that there shall be no interest and that the interest due to Allah Abbas Ignace Abdul Muttalib Prophet Muhammad zankel shall be waived and abolished as well.

This is what Allah Almighty said also, with regards to dealing with the Riba this is exactly what Allah Almighty

Then the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him spared a very good portion of his speech, to remind the audience men particularly to be kind to their spouses to their wives, and give them their due rights that was done more than 1400 years ago, on the tongue of Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi salam. So he said, amongst what he said, or people it is true that you have certain rights with regard to your women, but they also have rights upon you. Remember that you have taken them as your wives only under a lost trust, and with his permission, so if they fulfill your rights, then to them belongs the right to be fed and clothed in kindness. Do treat your wives well, and be kind to them.

For they are your partners and committed helpers Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam reminded all the believers

with the importance of fulfilling their duties towards Allah Almighty with regards to their worship. So he said, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam or people listened to me in earnest. Worship Allah, offer your five daily prayers fast during the month of Ramadan and give you user care and perform Hajj if you can afford. Then he said, Remember when they you will appear before Allah and answer your deeds So beware, do not stray from the path of righteousness after I'm gone. Again. The Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam sounded as if he is giving a farewell speech then

he said peace be upon him stating the divine constitution with regards to equality. Remember all mankind, from Adam and Eve. So an Arab has no superiority over an Arab nor a non Arab have a superiority over an Arab and a white have no superiority over a black nor a black have any superiority over a white except through piety and righteousness. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam also reminded the audience that all the believers should be brothers, he said, Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim, and the Muslims constitute when brotherhood, the Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam reminded the audience with their duty of conveying his message to those who

are not present, so that the message will be continuously transmitted until the day of judgment. He said, all those who listen to me shall pass on my words to others, and those to others again, and may the last ones understand my words better than those who listen to me directly. Then he sought Allah's testimony when he said, Oh Allah be my witness, I have conveyed your message to your people, all people, no prophet, or a messenger shall come after me. And no new faith will be born after word, reason, well, therefore, or people and understand words, which I convey on to you. I leave behind me two things, which if you hold fast to them, you should never go astray. The book of Allah

and my traditions, very comprehensive message that the Prophet sallallahu Sallam delivered in his farewell speech, which every Muslim should learn.
