If Allah wanted, He would not have created

haram. There would have only been halal. But

Allah created haram for you to get closer

to him by disciplining yourself and holding back

from doing things that are displeasing to him.

That's why he created haram.

He created haram so that you can engage

in an act of worship known as abstention

for the sake of Allah.

He created haram so that wherever you faulted

you can engage in an act of worship

known as repentance for the sake of Allah.

Allah Almighty created all of this as a

test for us, mankind. That's why he says

in the Quran,

00:00:42 --> 00:00:45

I have not created mankind or jinnkind except

that they worship Me. That's one verse. Another

one,

Allah says, does man think it is sufficient

for him to just say I'm a believer

and then he won't be tested?

Allah says,

we have tested those before you as well.

00:01:21 --> 00:01:24

We have tested those before them. Them meaning

00:01:24 --> 00:01:25

all of us.

00:01:26 --> 00:01:28

In order to distinguish between those who are

00:01:28 --> 00:01:29

truthful in their claim

00:01:30 --> 00:01:32

and those who are false.

00:01:33 --> 00:01:35

You claim to worship Allah, you claim to

be a believer, you say

00:01:37 --> 00:01:39

I'm a believer. Allah says well we're going

00:01:39 --> 00:01:41

to test you now. And that's one of

00:01:41 --> 00:01:42

the reasons why

00:01:42 --> 00:01:44

a believer has more tests

00:01:45 --> 00:01:47

than one who doesn't believe.

00:01:48 --> 00:01:51

You are in, like I say, you are

00:01:51 --> 00:01:54

in the school. You have enrolled for the

00:01:54 --> 00:01:54

examination.

00:01:55 --> 00:01:57

So you will be tested. The others are

00:01:57 --> 00:01:58

not in the school. They have not enrolled

00:01:58 --> 00:02:01

in the examination. They will enjoy outside. But

00:02:01 --> 00:02:02

when the qualification

comes, who gets it? You get it.

Because you were in it, you struggled,

00:02:08 --> 00:02:08

you were tested,

00:02:09 --> 00:02:11

and you passed your test, and you were

00:02:11 --> 00:02:13

tested again. A more difficult test. And as

00:02:13 --> 00:02:15

you grew older, the test became more and

00:02:15 --> 00:02:17

more difficult. But you passed them all the

00:02:17 --> 00:02:19

time, and you had the manual, and you

00:02:19 --> 00:02:21

studied it. What is it? The Quran, the

00:02:21 --> 00:02:22

sunnah of Rasulullah

00:02:24 --> 00:02:26

And you corrected yourself, you went back and

00:02:26 --> 00:02:28

you passed those exams. But the others who

00:02:28 --> 00:02:30

don't even believe, they're not even in the

00:02:30 --> 00:02:33

school, they haven't even enrolled. So Allah says,

00:02:33 --> 00:02:34

don't allow

00:02:36 --> 00:02:38

yourself to be

00:02:38 --> 00:02:39

deceived by those

00:02:39 --> 00:02:42

who are distant from us and yet they're

00:02:42 --> 00:02:44

enjoying the life on earth.

00:02:44 --> 00:02:46

Allah says we will give them on earth.

00:02:46 --> 00:02:48

If they did good, we will give them

00:02:48 --> 00:02:50

goodness on earth for you. We've kept it

00:02:50 --> 00:02:51

for the hereafter.
