The importance of having a strong faith in Islam and not being the one who wants to be in a certain position is also emphasized. The importance of learning from the Quran and being balanced in one's life is also emphasized.
00:00:00 -->
00:00:03
Salam aleikum wa rahmatullah wa barakato.
00:00:04 -->
00:00:43
smilla rahmanir rahim al hamdu Lillahi Rabbil alameen wa Salatu was Salam O Allah Ashraf al anbiya
wa l mursalin Nabina Muhammad wa ala alihi wa sahbihi Germain we praise Allah subhanho wa Taala we
send blessings and salutations upon Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, his household and all his
companions. May Allah bless them all. And may He bless every single one of us. May He grant us all
goodness, and may He opened the doors of goodness and close all the doors of evil. And may Allah
subhanho wa Taala grant us multiplication in the goodness that we have. And may He allow that to
continue through our offspring as well. I mean, my beloved brothers and sisters in Islam, this
00:00:43 -->
00:01:28
evening, we will be speaking about one of the uncles of Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasallam, who was
similar in age to Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasallam, and who grew up together with Muhammad
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, yet he only accepted Islam much later, who was this uncle? His name was
abass even though Abdul muttalib you all know that Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam his lineage
Mohammed Abdullah Abdullah Ibn Abdul muttalib. So sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he was the son of
Abdullah, who was the son of Abdul muttalib Abdul muttalib had married a woman called Nutella.
Nutella, that's quite easy to remember. Because Subhana Allah, a lot of the youngsters from amongst
00:01:28 -->
00:01:46
us like a little chocolate Nutella, Subhana Allah, Allah grant us ease. So he married a woman called
Nutella and she gave birth to a boy whom they had called Allah bus. So he was al Abbas ibn Abdullah
McCollum. And at the same time, two years later,
00:01:47 -->
00:02:15
his brother had a child called Muhammad. But the sad part of that birth was the fact that he was
born an orphan. So although it was the greatest thing to ever have happened in creation, the birth
of Muhammad Sallallahu sallam, but Abdulmutallab was saddened because his son had passed away,
unable to have seen his own son, which means the grandchild.
00:02:17 -->
00:03:03
So he brought up the son or he helped in the upbringing together with the mother, Amina Binti. And
what happened is, they grew up together al Abbas Ibn Abdul muttalib, and Muhammad sallallahu alayhi
wasallam. They played together, they loved each other, and they grew up to a great degree together.
And as they grew up, we all know that they came a time when Prophethood came to Muhammad sallallahu
alayhi wasallam. But why did al Abbas who was so close to Muhammad Sallallahu Sallam not accept that
immediately, although he says in his heart, that I knew that the man was telling the truth, and I
knew him because he was a nephew but as good as a brother Subhana Allah so much so that they used to
00:03:03 -->
00:03:46
ask him or abass who is bigger you are Muhammad Sallallahu sallam, he used to say, Muhammad is much
bigger. But I am just two years older in age Subhana Allah, this was a beautiful way of answering
who is bigger he says he's much bigger. But if you want to count the years, I'm two years older than
him. SubhanAllah and this proves that it does not mean that because you are older, you are greater
in the eyes of Allah subhanho wa Taala. There could be those who are younger, who are far higher in
the eyes of Allah subhanho wa Taala than those who are older. May we take a lesson from this. So
Ibis, when his father passed away, who was the grandfather of Muhammad Sallallahu Sallam Quraysh
00:03:46 -->
00:04:32
handed him what was known as Sita to Hajj because his his father was in charge of giving water to
those who come for Hajj. You know, Makkah was an area where the water was scarce. So because of the
scarcity of water, they had special people to look after those who came from outside and make sure
that is water for them. And the well of Zamzam has its own story, where Subhana Allah Abdulmutallab
who is the grandfather of Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, there was a miracle where the water
gushed from his feet at a time when the people of Quraysh were fighting as to who should take the
guardianship of the well of Zamzam. And that was proof enough that it should be Abdulmutallab. So
00:04:32 -->
00:04:59
they gave it to his son, his son, Alibaba, so he was in charge. He had a big position in Porush very
high position and post, they respected him. Because of that post. He says, I took my time I did not
accept what Muhammad Sallallahu wasallam came with fearing that I'm going to lose my position, I
will lose the respect I will lose the honor of having given water to those who come for Hajj and so
on. Although deep down I knew he was telling the truth. In fact,
00:05:00 -->
00:05:40
Some of the historians say that he accepted Islam in his heart but he did not utter it with his
tongue. But the majority of the narrations make mention of the fact that he accepted Islam later on
well after the hegira just before the victory of Makkah and we will hear about in inshallah, in a
few moments. So, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was protected by this uncle of his, just
like a Buddha Allah, who was also an uncle of Muhammad Sallallahu Sallam protected him, although the
two of them had not accepted Islam. As for Al Abbas, he was fortunate that later on he accepted
Islam, but Abu Talib had passed away without accepting Islam.
00:05:41 -->
00:06:27
They had protected Mohammed Salah Salaam, to the degree that the day that the people of Medina had
come in a group of more than 70 to pledge the second allegiance of Aqaba, during the time of Hajj in
Minar. abuzz about the Allahu anhu later to be known as he joined Muhammad sallallahu alayhi
wasallam when Muhammad Sallallahu Sallam went to agree with them regarding the Hydra, so al Abbas
was the one who spoke to the people of Raj and he told them Oh, people have coverage. This is
Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, you are inviting him to Madina munawwara Do you know what that
means? Are you ready to look after him? We are ready to look after him. We are his family. We have
00:06:27 -->
00:06:34
been looking after him. But if you are going to take him, people will fight you. Are you ready to
fight back? They said we will defend.
00:06:35 -->
00:07:16
And then he says to them, there was a lot that he said but part of what he said was if you are ready
to take the huge responsibility of Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasallam and his companions, then only
should you strike the deal with him. If not, do not be from amongst those who will break their
promise. You say you will look after the man and you invite him to your place when he comes to you
you dishonor him and disregard Him. So who spoke on behalf of Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
his uncle, Al Abbas, who had been brought up with him. They had such a good relationship that when
Abu Talib went through a difficult time, Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasallam and Al Abbas decided to
00:07:16 -->
00:07:49
look after two of the three sons of Abu Talib, so Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam looked
after Ali Vitali and Al Abbas looked after Jafar even a bit early because the father was going
through some financial difficulty, and so on. This was an amazing relationship between Muhammad
sallallahu alayhi wasallam. And Al Abbas, although he was not yet a Muslim. Another unique sign of a
brilliant relationship between them was the fact that when al Abbas had a child called Abdullah, and
this was before the hegira.
00:07:50 -->
00:08:35
He took him to Mohammed sallallahu alayhi wasallam to do the technique, and we spoke about it a few
days ago. The technique is where a small portion of date is chewed by someone and placed into the
mouth of the pellet of a newborn child. And it has benefit of iron, physical benefit as well as
spiritual benefit. And this was done by Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasallam for the son of Al Abbas,
whose name was Abdullah even a bus later to become known as the Great Sahabi. We've already spoken
about him, one of the heroes whom we have discussed the life of in this beautiful month of Ramadan.
So why did Allah bus take the child to Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam although he was not a
00:08:35 -->
00:09:21
Muslim, yet, it shows that he respected Muhammad Sallallahu sallam, and deep down he knew that this
is what I want my child to be like Subhana Allah. So at the time of the Battle of Babel, something
interesting happened. It is reported that Al Abbas did not want to come out. He did not want to go
and fight his own nephew and his friend Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam but because of his
standing in Parish, he had to show face. So what he did is, he gathered a little bit of gold that he
had, he gave it to his wife, whose name was Lou Baba bentall. Harris, known as Oman, the mother of
alphabet rhodiola and her later to be known as so he gave the little bit of gold to her in a small
00:09:21 -->
00:09:59
pouch, and he told her look, if anything happens to me this wealth, you give it to Abdullah
Alphaville and obey the law. You split it amongst them and you look after them and take care just in
case I don't come back. So when he went to the Battle of battle, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi
wasallam had told his companions that there are two people if you see them, do not attack them. One
of them is a boon Buster Abraham and the other was al Abbas ibn Abdullah McCollum, the reason was
very clear, these people have never harmed us, they have not attacked us and they have been from
amongst those who in fact supported us. So panela so when the captives
00:10:00 -->
00:10:39
We're being looked at after the Battle of better because the muslimeen won the battle. One of those
who was captive was al Abbas Ibn Abdul muttalib. So the Prophet salallahu Salam saw him from a
distance and looked away because it was heavy. It's heavy to look at your own, you know, Uncle from
amongst the capitals. So that evening Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam lied down, and he could
hear the sound of Al Abbas as though he was in pain. So he asked his own companions, what is wrong
with Al Abbas, they went to have a look at him. They found that he his hands were tied very tight.
So he was in pain. So they loosen the hands.
00:10:40 -->
00:11:22
So Mohammed salatu salam did not hear him anymore. So he was worried. He said, Why can I not hear al
Abbas anymore? They said, No, His hands were very tight, tightly tied. So we loosen them a bit.
Muhammad Salallahu Salam out of justice. He said, If you did that to the uncle of Muhammad,
sallallahu alayhi wasallam It is only fair that you did that to all the other prisoners. Subhana
Allah so he sent them back, and they had to loosen the hands of all of the prisoners in a way that
they were not harmed. Then came the time to free some of these prisoners after a ransom was paid. So
anyone who did not have anything, they were told, okay, you can teach 10 from amongst us how to read
00:11:22 -->
00:11:55
and write and we will set you free. So here comes a bus, if nagda muttalib. And he looks at Muhammad
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, we can imagine what must have been going on there. And he says, Oh
Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, I have nothing to give you. I have no wealth to give you. So
Muhammad Sallallahu Sallam looks at him. And this was a miracle. He says, oh, an Ibis? Are you not
ashamed to be telling a lie? What about the pouch with gold that you gave him my father and you told
her just before you came out here, that in case something happens to me, then this should be for my
children?
00:11:56 -->
00:12:36
And my boss was shocked. Because he says well, ah he nobody knows about it besides myself and my
father and Allah, Allah meaning the one who's watching over all of us. So Muhammad sallallahu alayhi
wa sallam explained that he was informed via revelation of the unseen Subhana Allah, may Allah
subhanahu wa taala, bless us, and grant us ease. So it did create a feeling in Allah bas, later to
be known as rhodiola. And that this man here is indeed the Prophet of Allah subhanho wa Taala. But
again, because of his standing in Quraysh, he decided no ways. Let me go back. Look at this Allah
Akbar. So he went back to his people, he narrated this story to his wife and so on, and they spent
00:12:37 -->
00:12:38
20 years
00:12:39 -->
00:13:11
20 years without accepting Islam. They were in muckety muck karma, come the Battle of he did not
take part he refused to take part. In fact, Al Abbas Ibn Abdulmutallab sent a message to Muhammad
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam with details of the plans of the co founder of Quraysh when it came to
ocean, and that helped the Muslim men to prepare a lot. So he helped them, although he was based in
muckety, muck karma, but he did not take part in the other battles against Muhammad sallallahu
alayhi wasallam. And one day, 20 years after Prophethood
00:13:12 -->
00:13:14
he's sitting with his wife, and father,
00:13:15 -->
00:13:53
viola and her later to be known as, and they are talking about the good old days, you know, it
happens to all of us, we sit and we remember the days when we were young, and the good things that
happened. So they speak about the goodness of Muhammad Sallallahu wasallam, and what has transpired
and how kind he has been, and so on and so forth. So Allah says, you know, what, why don't we just
go and join him? My father was so excited with that news, as though she had been waiting for the day
that her husband said this. And do you know something unique? Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
had married the sister of omal father. Her name was maimunah taburiente Harris. She was the sister
00:13:53 -->
00:14:34
of Luba Babington Harris, who was known as the father, who was also the wife of Al Abbas Ibn Abdul
muttalib. So they were married two sisters, brothers in law at the same time, so panela and the two
of them decided, let's prepare, let's prepare the our conveyance and we start going to Al Madina,
munawwara and as they are on their way to Madina, munawwara they pass by a place known as a driver,
not too far from Mecca, and they see a huge army, a huge army coming in their direction, and they're
wondering what's going on, and suddenly they see these muslimeen coming through marching onto
muckety muck karma, and this was the victory of Mecca. And Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam sees
00:14:34 -->
00:14:47
a bus in Abdulmutallab, and he says, oh, a bus. Where are you going? We were coming to Al Madina,
munawwara to join you and to declare our Islam and the fact that we follow you and they declared
their faith.
00:14:48 -->
00:14:59
So something unique happened, something amazing happened. Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says,
Oh Allah bus. We are marching on to mccurtain, mocha Rama and we went
00:15:00 -->
00:15:43
To know that you are the last person to make hegira because after victory, there is no more Hydra.
The door of Hydra is shut, closed and cut. La Hirata battleford, there is no hijra once Makkah was
conquered, the hegira stopped, there was no need for people to do hegira. So the fact that you've
already left Makkah, coming to Al Madina, munawwara you have the honor of being known as the last
person who made hegira to Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasallam, or one of the last May Allah subhanho
wa Taala grant a strength and may He make us from amongst those who can do the hegira meaning
leaving since Do you know that the meaning of the term hegira it actually means to leave, and the
00:15:43 -->
00:16:11
Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam describes the hijra of the ordinary Muslim myself and yourselves
as being men hotjar Alpha was the one who quits the sins and that which is in transgression of Allah
subhanho wa Taala. So if you want to be a Mahajan, you need to be a person who commits sin. May
Allah subhanho wa Taala help us become from amongst the Maha God in those who quit the sins for the
sake of Allah subhanho wa Taala.
00:16:12 -->
00:16:55
So this was a passive nap, they turned around and they joined the army of the Muslim in going back
into muckety muck karma, before even having reached al Madina, munawwara this man became a very,
very great Sahabi of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam. He was a person who engaged in lots of a
bada and he was known as an arranger of Hadith as well. He learned the Quran, and he was such a good
man in the Battle of humain. It is reported that he really assisted the Muslim cause in a very big
way, and defended the messenger sallallahu alayhi wasallam. Also something important that has
happened in the life of Al Abbas Ibn Abdulmutallab. During the period of time of Omar Abu Dhabi,
00:16:55 -->
00:17:37
Allahu anhu. They went through a drought, and that year was known as Amma Ramada the year of the dry
spell. And Omar Abu Qatada. The Allahu anhu came out for his discard is this car meaning to ask for
rain? They came out once. They did not get rain, they came out twice. They did not get rain then or
merville whatever the law says, I'm going to bring out someone whom I know that Allah subhanho wa
Taala will have mercy upon and grant us rain because of his presence. So Who was that man? The
following day they called al Abbas Ibn Abdul muttalib, who was now quite old. He was an elderly man,
Omar Abdullah and who brought him out to the place where they were calling out to Allah subhanho wa
00:17:37 -->
00:18:20
Taala for him and asked him Oh Allah bus we want you to raise your hands and to ask Allah subhanho
wa Taala for him and Omar Abu Dhabi, Allah who made the dua, Allah we are asking you with Al Abbas
Ibn Abdul muttalib, the uncle of Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam present in our midst with
Alibaba Talib, Al Hassan al Husayn present in our midst to grant us rainfall. The date of birth was
not yet complete, and the clouds are already formed and the rain began such that Subhanallah it was
the end of the drought. May Allah subhanho wa Taala Have mercy on us, and May He grant us goodness,
may Allah subhanho wa Taala assist us this great Sahabi great companion of Muhammad sallallahu
00:18:20 -->
00:18:22
alayhi wa sallam he passed away
00:18:23 -->
00:18:40
on a Friday 32 years after the hegira of Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam approximate age of
about 84 years and he is buried in Bakir. He passed away at the time of a man of near a friend of
the Allahu anhu, who led the Salatu jhanas upon that man, and it was a very, very sad day.
00:18:42 -->
00:19:28
The next hero we will be speaking about this evening, a very great man who was named after his
daughter, there was a girl called a DA amazing. That's actually a girl's name under the Savannah
law. And her father was known as the father of murder. And the Durga was a pretty girl Subhanallah
she was a great person, she became a very, very great person and we will hear about her story and
how her father ensured that she did not marry the wrong man. So he was known as a Buddha and his
name was a way mirip numerical hazaragi. He was from the people of hazaragi of Madina, munawwara
great saint, but he was a person who did not accept Islam. Initially, it took him a while.
00:19:29 -->
00:19:49
Initially, he was a businessman involved in business and happy with his dealings. And he used to
have an idol quite a big idol that he kept in his house. And he enjoyed putting some perfume on the
idol every other day. And he even close the idol and he used to worship the idol. And he was a great
friend with Abdullah Abdullah.
00:19:51 -->
00:20:00
Abdullah Abdullah also from Madina munawwara Allah when he was a great poet, he had accepted Islam
earlier and he used to talk to
00:20:00 -->
00:20:38
His friend, a Buddha, even after he had accepted Islam, and Abu Dhabi, Allahu anhu, had not yet
accepted Islam, Abdullah Abdullah, I used to speak to him and say, Oh, you are such a foolish
person, you are so wise on one hand and foolish on the other. You are a sharp businessman, you have
great intellect, you are engaging in business and you are striking deals that are very grand and
great, but you are worshipping this idol of yours, it does not bring you any goodness, it cannot
harm you, and so on. And the discussion used to continue and the two of them still had a friendship
even after the acceptance of Islam of Abdullayev not Aha. So one day, when the Battle of butter took
00:20:38 -->
00:20:42
place, and the people were coming back from the Battle of Buddle.
00:20:43 -->
00:21:23
This man Abdur de la Marina Malik of the long run at the time was not a Muslim. So he asked some of
the companions of Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he says to them, how is Abdullah raha? Now
why was he asking the question? Because they were friends. They were good friends. He wants to know,
hey, people are coming back from a war is my friend. Okay? They told him no, he's fine. So the
following day, he had put some perfume on his idol and closed it and so on. And he was some good
clothing went out to do business and underlying law had heard that this friend of yours was asking
about you. So he went to the house and he knocks on the door. So Amadeu, the wife of the law, and
00:21:23 -->
00:22:05
she comes out to the door, and she says, Yes, I'm dilemma. What would you like? He says, can I? I
want to see when he's not here. He will come back shortly. Okay, do you give me permission to enter
his room? Yes, I do. So he entered the room, and she carried on doing whatever she was at the back.
Meanwhile, as he went in, he broke the idol pieces. He's a friend. And he broke the idol took off
the hands, took off whatever else and destroyed it into pieces and went out and he was gone. And the
wife of a Buddha goes into the room and sees that this idol is broken, she starts yelling and
screaming. The God of a Buddha is gone into pieces, she started yelling. And so she's sat at the
00:22:05 -->
00:22:46
door, crying when Abu Dhabi Allahu anhu came back, he was still not a Muslim. But he saw what
happened. He asked her, she said this was your friend, your best mate Abdullayev? Nah, ha, he came
in. And this is what he did. And he went away. So I was very, very angry. But then he looked at this
scene in front of him. And he said, But hang on. This is a god, I worship it. I asked it for
goodness, I used to think my business deals come to me because of this thing here. And look at it.
It's lying here in pieces. It can't even help itself. And it can't even help me. And I keep on
worshiping it. No ways this is totally wrong. So he calls up the live ma What did you do? He says I
00:22:46 -->
00:23:23
knew your intellect. And I knew this would make you think so did you think he says Yes, I did. And
what did you think? He says I think it's about time we follow Muhammad Allah, Allah, Allah, Solomon
worship Allah and Allah alone. So he said, Let's go that is the day the two of them went to Muhammad
Sallallahu Sallam after the Battle of butter, just as it ended, and he declared his Shahada, and it
is reported that from amongst the people of hazaragi, he was the last one to actually enter Islam.
The rest were already Muslims. Amazing. So he was one of the last or the last from amongst the
people of Raj. But this was the story of how about the way Mira Mallika Lohan became a Muslim. Now
00:23:23 -->
00:23:41
something else happened when he became a Muslim. He started learning and he loved it so much. He
used to think to himself, I wasted my time prostrating to something I made with my own hands. And
all the days that I have missed, I want to make them up by worshipping much more than anyone else.
00:23:43 -->
00:24:27
So he started learning more than anyone else. He started worshiping more than anyone else. He spent
the whole night in worship, the whole day, he would fast every day he would do things he would go
out and learn. And he left his business at one stage, quit and cut completely. So people came to ask
him about that, that it does not mean that you became a Muslim, that now you must cut yourself from
this world completely. He says I know. I'm not saying it's prohibited to do business, but I try to
strike the correct balance between this worldly material life and my religion and my preparation for
the meeting with my maker, but I could not strike the balance. I had to quit one of the two In my
00:24:27 -->
00:24:59
case, I am weak and I could not strike a balance. So I decided to quit this material life after I
was a very big businessman. So Pinilla now Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam decided to choose
one of his companions to stay with a Buddha in what was known as Al Maha Maha meaning the fostering
of a relationship of brotherhood based on the hegira it was valid at the time. So salmonella faricy
of the Allahu anhu chosen to live with a Buddha. This was something amazing if you look at this far
00:25:00 -->
00:25:43
Stirring of brotherhood, the strong believers who had a lot of knowledge from Makkah, lived with
those who are new Muslims of Medina, who had wealth. And at the same time these people share their
knowledge and those share their wealth. Amazing. So you wanted the teacher? Yes, you got a teacher
living in your house, he taught you absolutely everything he knew from day one of Islam. Amazing. So
Solomon and Pharisees, he came into the house of a Buddha, and he could not help but notice that
Ahmed the the wife of Allah, and she was not interested at all in anything cooking, or the way she
looked, or the way she dressed. Nothing. She was interested in nothing. So he asked her mama, dada,
00:25:43 -->
00:25:44
what's the problem?
00:25:45 -->
00:26:26
So she looks at him and she says Solomon ahuka, Buddha de la sala, who had written with dunya, this
brother of yours about that, that he has no need in this world. He has divorced himself totally from
everything connected to this world. And that would mean he doesn't share a wedding with me anymore.
He's not interested in me anymore. He's shifted completely. He does his own thing whole day. He's
fasting and whole night he is in worship. So that evening, Solomon and Pharisees decided to notice
what a Buddha does probably Allah when he noticed that he started getting up in prayer immediately
after the night prayer. So Solomon says, Go to sleep Subhana Allah, we spoke about it a few days
00:26:26 -->
00:27:01
ago. A little while later, when Solomon lived down, a Buddha got up again, someone got up again go
back to sleep a little while later and said, man lay down rhodiola when Ilan gets up again, he says,
Go to sleep, when a third of the night was remaining. salmaan gets him up. This is a Buddha, call
the 11 you can now get up. And now you can pray. And remember one thing, your body has a right over
you, your family has a right over you. Everything has a right over you, your eyes have a right over
you, and fulfill the right of every single one of those.
00:27:02 -->
00:27:41
Which means don't get so lost in religion, that you actually trample over the rights of those around
you and your own body and so on. That is not true religion. When you accept Islam, and when you
follow Islam correctly, it should bring about a peace and the balance in your life. It should not
make you such that you are on a seesaw heading only in one direction where you've forgotten the
rights of others or you have forgotten them or you've usurped them. No. So Salma nonferrous he told
him this, and he was waiting because he knew that look, I need to get confirmation from the
messenger sallallahu alayhi wasallam. The following day, he runs to Muhammad Sallallahu Sallam and
00:27:41 -->
00:28:19
he tells him what happened. I tried to pray, I was stopped. I tried to pray, I was blocked. I tried
to pray. salmaan tells me to go to sleep. And then at the third of the night, he told me now you can
pray and there was such a short time left the prophets of Allah Allah Salam says sadaqa Solomon,
Solomon has spoken the truth when he told you that everything has rights and fulfill it in due
measure. May Allah subhanahu wa taala help us to be balanced people. Sometimes we usurp the rights
of our wives and children, claiming that we are good Muslims going into a good cause or doing
something good. In the meantime, you have ran away from your rights from the rights that you owe
00:28:19 -->
00:28:31
others, and you are oppressing your family in the name of religion, oppressing your community in the
name of religion. We need to learn from this hadith of salmonella piracy, and Abdur de radi Allahu
anhu.
00:28:32 -->
00:28:32
So
00:28:34 -->
00:29:14
he became known as a very, very intelligent man. He was a person who was so wise, he worshipped
Allah so much he mastered the Quran Subhana Allah, he was one of those who memorized it from cover
to cover. He knew every verse there was and he knew where it fitted and what happened so much so
that he was also one of those who contributed towards the gathering of the Quran. And to this day,
you have poor earning schools that named after Abu Dhabi, Allah. May Allah subhanahu wa taala bless
us, and May He grant us goodness and ease. May He make it easy for us to learn the Quran. They used
to go to Abu Dhabi, Allah and and they used to ask him a lot of questions and they used to hear from
00:29:14 -->
00:29:15
him one day.
00:29:16 -->
00:29:53
He told some of the people who visited him that I seek the protection of Allah from having a
scattered heart. So they told him what is a scattered heart. He says a person who has a business in
every Valley, His heart is scattered, which means you have a business in this town, another one in
that town, another one in that town, you have too many businesses, it's going to be very hard for
you to concentrate on Allah because your concentration will be this business in that business. May
Allah subhanahu wa taala grant us ease. It reminds me of the story of the man who corrected the Imam
when the Imam had made only three record for Salah Tunisia and the congregation was sleeping meaning
00:29:53 -->
00:29:59
they didn't even know but one man says I'm convinced that your Eman you've only read three record.
So they said how
00:30:00 -->
00:30:36
Do you know everyone else has this is not agreeing with you. He says, Look, I have four shops. And
in every Raka I take a count of one shop. And tonight I only took a count of three shops and Salah
was over. May Allah subhanho wa Taala Forgive us, Allah He with us. Something similar happens when
the Imam says Allahu Akbar, the mind goes to somewhere else where we're going to go tomorrow. It's a
weekend Mashallah the eat market is around the corner. What are we going to do here? And there are
so many things, where are we going to go for eat, and everything comes to our minds and hearts. Yet
we don't understand. Forget about all that concentrate. This is Salah, this is the plugin with Allah
00:30:36 -->
00:30:39
Subhana Allah, Allah, may Allah make it easy for us. So
00:30:40 -->
00:30:43
that was something unique again, a Buddha of the Allahu anhu.
00:30:44 -->
00:30:48
It is reported that some visitors visited him. And they found
00:30:49 -->
00:31:19
that it was very cold. They were sleeping the night, he gave them good hot food. But he did not give
them blankets to cover themselves. So one is telling the other you know what he is sleeping in the
next room, let's go and ask him for blankets. So the one says No, leave him It's okay. The third one
says no, I will go and ask him. So he gets up. And he stands by the door. And he's ready to ask him
for blankets. And he notices that himself. He doesn't have a blanket. So he says, what are we going
to ask? What are we going to ask? So he told about the da,
00:31:20 -->
00:31:56
da da? Why is it you don't even have blankets? He says, You know what? Oh, all that I have. I send
it to the other house of mine. If you remember there was another companion of Rasulullah sallallahu
Sallam who said something similar, that my furniture is all in my other home referring to Jenna,
every thing i get i send it about Dada. That was a Buddha refer to the law. And this is a Buddha,
the two of them were quite similar when it came to quitting the world we live in order to prepare
for the life after death. He says everything I get, I quickly send it to my other house.
00:31:57 -->
00:32:02
So they told him Why is that the case? He says well, ah he look at the people around you.
00:32:03 -->
00:32:11
Look at the people around you. Whatever wealth you have in your hands belonged to someone before
you. And it will belong to someone after you
00:32:12 -->
00:32:32
Subhana Allah, whatever you have in your hand, it was with someone before you, then it came to you.
And soon it will be with someone else. So you are only a winner, if you can use it in order to
prepare the real house. Because I have seen the people who built the houses in this world, they are
resting in the grave, which they did not build.
00:32:34 -->
00:33:14
What he means is people who build the houses, they built huge houses where they they went down into
a grave and they forgot to build the grave which means to build for the ark era. So I don't want to
make the same mistake. I want to use every opportunity that when I go go, I will have a real palace
there for eternity. And people might be able to say he had nothing here but they he has everything
Subhanallah my brothers and sisters, we can strike a bit of a balance at least we can draw a lesson.
We may never be upon this level of piety because every one of us we perhaps think a little bit
differently. But the minimum is to learn a lesson to ask ourselves, what did we do to prepare for
00:33:14 -->
00:33:21
that home that we will be resting in forever and ever. Amen Adnan katabi Allahu anhu, visited
Damascus.
00:33:22 -->
00:34:05
And he had sent a book Dada together with the others more added manageable to a sham in order to
teach people we spoke about it yesterday. And if you recall, about the Arabic Allah who was in
Damascus itself, he was the Imam teaching people are on and the suit of Muhammad Sallallahu Sallam
and he refused to take up any third position, any fourth position, that was the only thing he did.
And so honorable katabi Allahu anhu comes and he sees a Buddha or the Allah one visited him in his
home, he notices the man hardly has a met. He hardly has a cover to cover him. He says, oh, Buddha,
oh Buddha. Don't I send you so much of an allowance every month? Don't I send you so much of an
00:34:05 -->
00:34:11
allowance regularly? A Buddha looks at the law and says oh man.
00:34:12 -->
00:34:30
Don't you remember the days we were with Muhammad? sallallahu alayhi wasallam. Do you recall those
days? He says Yes, I do. Do you remember Muhammad Sallallahu Sallam telling us that you should not
have access of this world. You should not have access of this worldly material life.
00:34:31 -->
00:34:49
More than that, which is the provisions of a traveler. That's all you should have something you can
put on the back of a camel and take. He says Yes, I remember that. He says Well, that's exactly what
I'm doing. All my belongings will fit onto one camel and even less than a camel.
00:34:51 -->
00:34:59
So, Allahu anhu began to cry. Because the Buddha says I think after Muhammad Sallallahu Sallam
passed on we have forgotten
00:35:00 -->
00:35:11
His sentences and his words sapan Allah, May Allah forgive us. So, the Allahu anhu told the group of
people who came to visit him that I have learned
00:35:12 -->
00:35:52
that in order to climb up to heaven, the one who has the least belongings will climb quicker than he
who has a lot because you know, when you are climbing up, if you have heavy belongings, it's going
to take a long, long time. And when you have very little, you will be able to climb so quickly. So
he used to distribute all his wealth and say I want to die without much so that I can fly up as
quickly as I can know Allah subhanho wa Taala grant us a lesson from the beautiful life of this man.
He passed away. He was from amongst the answer who had memorized the Quran. In fact, I want to
mention one or two more incidents, I spoke about his daughter, and I need to say this before we
00:35:52 -->
00:35:52
close.
00:35:54 -->
00:36:10
Maria Abbey, Sophia was the governor of a sham at the time of Omar Mousavi, Allah and he had a son
called Izzy. And he goes to Abu Dhabi. And he said, I've heard a lot about your daughter. And I
would like to get her married to my son. Yes. He
00:36:11 -->
00:36:55
said no. And never and please don't talk to me about that again. And the story is over. Lo Akbar,
what a shock people came to him and told him, Are you crazy? Such a great person who's so wealthy
your daughter will live in the castle, she will have so many servants and slaves, and she will be so
lucky and fortunate wealth upon wealth, what would you have done? Why did you do this? And why did
you refuse such a great proposal? Now to be honest with you, if the king of today proposals for your
daughter or mine, I don't even want to say what would happen if the leader of the nation or a top
big CEO of a multinational company with lots of wealth, and he's a Muslim who reads his salah and so
00:36:55 -->
00:37:36
on. And they have you know, a decent reputation. For example, what would you and I do a book
dadadada Allah who says, You know, I have to protect my daughter at the because I immediately
thought of her upbringing, and the fact that she is so close to Allah inshallah, meaning she reads
her Salah, and she's a Down to Earth humble person. Suddenly, the doors are open for her. She will
be in a huge castle, as you've described to so many servants and slaves and so much happening. What
do you think will become of her relationship with Allah subhanho wa Taala I will never accept that
for my daughter, I will do her a favor and get her married to a man who has almost nothing Subhana
00:37:36 -->
00:38:15
Allah for as long as he will take her to paradise, and for as long as that relationship will lead
them to the gender that I am searching for as well. This is about the law on pause for a moment
brothers and sisters, we learned a lesson while law Hey, I swear by Allah, we have a sickness in our
midst. And that is when we look for spouses for our daughters. We are looking for wealth, say what
you want. I am saying it as it is. We look for wealth in a lot of cases. Let's be honest, if the man
doesn't have a house or a car, I'm sorry, you will not marry my daughter. Even if you know that
whenever you go for Salah the youngster is always there and he is responsible. He has a decent job.
00:38:15 -->
00:38:56
We are not saying give your daughters away to irresponsible people. But if he is responsible, and he
may not be that wealthy Alhamdulillah we've learned so many lessons about marriage, how our heroes
got their daughters and sisters married. Amazing Subhanallah yet we claim that these are our heroes,
but when it comes to certain things that do not suit us what happens we just throw it out and aside,
may Allah subhanho wa Taala forgive us and May Allah subhanho wa Taala bless us, there is still a
lot from the life of a Buddha that we learn from if you ever get a moment, pick up literature
written regarding de la Marina Malika Viola Han and see from his wise words, beautiful wise words,
00:38:56 -->
00:39:32
had it not been for a time limit, I would have continued and told you a lot more. But we asked Allah
subhanho wa Taala to help us. In fact, let us show the keenness in the life of this hero of ours by
going back and checking what exactly we are talking about. May Allah subhanho wa Taala bless us. He
passed away at 72 years of age approximately and it was the 32nd year of his law at the time of man
have now found over the long run and it is reported that he passed away in Egypt. May Allah bless us
all wa sallahu wa Sallim wa barik ala nabina Muhammad Subhan Allah Subhana Allah homovanillic a
shadow Allah, Allah, Allah and Mr. Furukawa to be like
