This is the last Friday

in this year's Ramadan, year 1439 of the hero of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam just want you to take a second moment right now just let that sink in.

what has it been like?

At least this last hour or this

last Friday of the month.

Unlike some of the previous years, it's not the last day or the day before the last day we still have five very precious,

very profound, very

valuable days and nights left of the month of Ramadan.

These five days can make whatever difference you are looking for. Whatever effect you're searching for, whatever

you know, answer you are desperately pursuing. You might find that

In the next five days, or five nights,

every hour counts.

Many people think that

the more the month progresses, the less value

there is, the more valuable, it's quite the contrary, it becomes more and more valuable.

Now, it's not the time to say, Oh,

it's over.

But rather, let me catch whatever I can. And let me end

this race as a winner.

So this is the last the final leg of this journey of ours. And we ask Allah to bless us and to bless our time and to bless our health and to

grant us of His grace, and allow us

to become even better in the month in whatever is remaining of the month of Ramadan.

And we ask Allah Subhana Allah to make us of those who caught or who will catch and have the opportunity to be blessed, or later to cut.

It's not over.

It's not over. So one powerful element of this month that I would like to focus on today in the hood is the power

of the Quran.

We have mentioned in the past,

that perhaps

one of the mysteries of the month of Ramadan, one of the reasons if not the primary reason, why the month of Ramadan has such a profound effect on us.

we become different people, we become better people, we are at our best. And I know that someone might say but, you know, it also exposes some of my faults, but that is still to your advantage. Even some of the weaknesses that we have that get exposed in the month of Ramadan.

Part of the benefit of Riba debt, whether it's Salah in German, or

Zakat, or fasting or even hedge, in addition to the to to the fact that it refines us and sanctifies us and it also part of that process, that cleansing process is exposing the faults, the shortcomings, the temperaments, the flaws,

the issues that we have, and it allows us It gives us granted the chair the chance to confront ourselves

and look deep

into our own souls and, and and psychological makeup and emotional state

and hold ourselves accountable and see what is it that I can do to read myself on this.

So even the flaws that surface

when we are fasting, when we experienced fasting when the month of Ramadan begins, that is still a benefit. Because you can do something about it.

That allows you the chance to do something about it.

Nonetheless, the month of Ramadan comes and it empowers us. And we mentioned that

part of the reason we experienced whatever we experienced in them in the month of Ramadan is because we are now exposed to the Quran, we finally get a chance

to have more

and increase dosage of of the book of Allah the words of Allah subhanho wa Taala

they're more or Anna's recited in the month of Ramadan than any other month. Right.

The Quran is completed recited in various forms and

in the month of Ramadan more than any other month that you can think of.

The Quran is celebrated in the month of Ramadan more than any other time of the year.

This is just a fact.

This is the reality of it. And this has been the case since the time of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and we hope that it will continue to be the case until the end of time.

The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam himself

though he always received messages

Quranic message and he always recited the Quran sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he was never detached. He was never disconnected.

In the month of Ramadan, there was something special there was a special process that would take place between him and Jewry. gibreel will come to him every single day in every single night

and revise the Quran with him.

Right, he will come to Him

every day.

And the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam will go with jabril over the entire floor and or whatever was revealed up to that point.

Every year, they will cover it once.

And let me just be more accurate and correct.

You know, the claim that's every single day or every single night I don't have evidence for that. So I take that back. Let me just correct myself. The point is that every single Ramadan, the Prophet sallallahu, Alayhi, wa sallam and jabril had a chance to revise the Quran the entire plan from the beginning, all the way to the last verse that was revealed

up to date.

And this happened every single year once. It could have happened every day, or I mean, daily, small portions or all at once Allahu Allah. I don't want to speculate.

However, the last Ramadan of the life of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, it happened twice.

The last one was one of the life of the Prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam in jabril, went over the entire plan or gibreel went with the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam over the entire plan twice in that month.

And that was actually an indication, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam took that as a hint that it was the end. And that's when he later revealed to Fatima May Allah Subhana Allah be pleased with his with her, his daughter, he revealed with her that that could be an indication

that his time is up sallallahu alayhi wa sallam six months after that, he passed away.

So so the Quran, we are now all of a sudden

exposed to it, we listen to it. And the Quran has profound effect on people, I may have told you this in the past. Some of you may have heard this. But few years ago, one of our students was at the hospital, visiting someone. And as that student student was, was waiting, and they in the emergency room, maybe some emergency rooms, we have beds next to each other with a curtain dividing or with it with a wall, and they're very close.

So as she was waiting by the bedside of that individual she was visiting, she started reading.

And when people read for and there is this, you can hear the humming, it sounds like humming, but it's actually they're actually reciting those who are familiar with a plan you may be able to make.

Or really, you know, recognize what they're reciting what sewer or what verses they're reciting.

And then next door

to,

to or Next, the bed next to this individual she was visiting. There was a man

analysis.

And every time the recitation

started, or she was reading, the man will will say sound, the sound that was nurses will come thinking that maybe one of the monitors or one of the devices that that are connected to him are making some sound. So they come they check everything, everything is fine. But of course, when nurses or any

medical personnel come comes, you know,

there's an interruption, so she she automatically looks in, she stops reading, and he's like, Oh, it's gone. It's gone.

Eventually this happened, you know, it happened apparently, once or twice or three times. She realized that maybe it's

her reading is what is causing this man to question about the sound.

So if so she turned to him or she went to me. She said, Sir, Did I disturb you or bother you?

He said, Were you the one making that noise? She said, yeah, it's not it's not a noise I was actually reading. So what were you reading?

What were you reading? What is that? She said I was reciting the Quran is perhaps

What is the

sort of relation that God sent to his final messenger? And it's God's words, God's actual words.

He's like he was blown away. She said, Do you mind me asking? Why? Why are you? What is it that about it that caught your attention, he said, whatever you were reciting, whenever you started reciting, I felt something, unlike anything that I have felt before.

unlike anything that I have felt before, whatever that is,

you need to make sure that you deliver it to every household in America.

She said, Why? He said, because this message, or this book has the power to transform the world.

It has the power to change the world.

This is coming from this is not a story from the past.

This is someone that that that that that wouldn't, when this person came to me to report this. I had never seen this individual in that state before. They

they didn't know what what what to say.

So Pamela,

we are so used to it,

you see certain very effective medications. If you take them in small doses, if you take them over a period of time, your your body your system gets gets used to it.

But the very same medication, even a small dosage, or even a small amount of it, to someone who's not used to it to someone who's who's taking it for the first time.

It could have a powerful impact on them. And they're like, what is this? What is this?

This is the Quran.

So you and I have to ask ourselves, how does the Quran or how is the Quran transforming? What kind of effect is it having on me?

Am I the same person, after 2425 days or nights of reading the Quran on my own and listening to the Quran being recited, and I'm telling you about a story of a man who didn't even understand what was being recited. And this is from the, from the miraculous nature of the Quran, that it affects people, even those who don't understand what is saying, because these are the words of Allah subhanho wa Taala.

And they're so powerful.

They may not be able to intellectually connect with it or understand the message, but it still it will affect them

at a spiritual level at an emotional level that will affect them, they can't even explain what it is.

I have tested this multiple times here in our own Masjid, I've seen people, their eyes flowing with tears as they were listening to the Quran being recited right from the spot. And they were not even people who understood the language. And in some cases, they were not even Muslims.

And it was their first time to hear that.

So you and I have to ask ourselves, perhaps part of the reason we sometimes do not experience that kind of effect is we are not getting exposed to the poor and enough we're not eating the poor and enough.

That's one factor. Factor number two or possibility number two is we are not connecting with the poor Elena.

We need to take it to the next level. Some of us may be reading the Quran every day.

But our connection with the Quran is weak. We need to take the relationship that we have with the poor and to the next level. start connecting with it. Reflect ponder.

Number three, and when I say Connect, I'm talking about understanding it and applying and connecting with it and trying to see what it's telling you.

Number three, the third factor maybe some of us are connecting or we understand the Quranic message. And but maybe we're not committed enough we're not applying it.

The Quran is supposed to produce real change

Change like overnight, people think that your entire life just turns upside down No, not necessarily.

It could be just one subtle change one thing at a time.

But there has to be changed. There has to be commitment we have to respond. And two weeks ago I gave you an example of that one of the areas where there's a habit of going out and in responded to the poor and was whenever the poor and call them to something, someone in that community, if not all of them or most of them, you know, responded.

Dear brothers and sisters, speaking of the of the power of the Quran

When you see a father and a son, a father that you know makes a deal with his son, you memorize and I will compete with you and I will memorize as well humbled himself. When you see people over the year those who were participating almost every year feeling like I have done 12 major suitors, maybe a total of

five or six or seven Just let me continue let me and that inspires them or propels and pushes them further towards finishing the examples of siblings close in age will come together and say, you know, I have tangency between them the entire time

And is memorizing that household.

Examples of children born or raised here that we thought we'll never be able to connect with this is in Arabic anyways, they don't know Arabic memorizing the entire Quran, some of whom and I'm hamdulillah Allah Subhana Allah blessed us with very talented, highly qualified for our teachers here amongst our brothers and sisters who recite the Quran better than the average Imam.

And I'm not exaggerating. Some of them bright line, some of them right beside better than me. In terms of their tweet and their eloquence, we're talking about people, children and people born or raised here.

Beautiful examples of people not only first but second generation,

children whose parents were born here, or their grandparents were born here,

memorizing good portions of the Quran, some of them memorizing the entire Quran

miracles, this is nothing less than America we have a living there for those of us who are looking for miracles. You have it

each copy of of it there is there there are multiple copies as many miracles in this room as there are copies here. Each one of them contains a miracle a living miracle.

They were betting that the Prophet sallallahu I think was send them a message he's not gonna go beyond his life.

Until then we have access to it. And Allah subhanaw taala allows us to read it, and recite it and be touched by it and experience it live, according to it,

and engage it and lots of habitat has given us that chance in spite of our deficiencies and our shortcomings. So Pamela, I don't want to take too long.
