Welcome to this

talk. And tonight is going to be a talk, it's really not a discussion type

due to the nature of the topic itself. But let me just make make it clear why I chose to.

Let me just give you a couple of reasons for choosing this this topic. One, I'm responding to a demand to repeat it. I have given this before and it was actually

And it was part of a series that talks about journey to the hereafter. So it starts from, from before this, and that talks about the process of death, and then the year after, and then you know, and so on, and so forth.

And my segment was about the process of death.

Now, the other reason I'm doing this is not to scare us, but rather to help us to prepare us. So not to scare but rather to prepare, because, and recently, there was a wave of, you know, people that we know and people that, you know, that were dying, and people were wondering as to what it is that people go through.

In the old days, when people were very close, they would they would witness someone going through that process. So it's, it's a powerful reminder, nowadays, of course, we usually go and attend the janazah, after the bodies is taken care of and prepared and we just, you know, attend the burial. So no wonder

that it doesn't affect us as much because we go witness someone being buried someone that we know someone that was, every weekend I go, I travel somewhere I come back or while I'm traveling, I get a text message or something like that, or asking in

reminding me to come attend the janazah or make dua for the person.

And the Prophet sallallahu Sallam encourages us to actually remember this, because

as they say, when you have the end in mind, right,

the way you go about your life would be totally different.

And

this reality of death, which is uncontested,

almost agreed upon by all kinds of people, regardless of their faith, or their belief or their orientation. Everybody knows that, that they're going to have a day where everything you know, their life is gonna come to an end. And there will be transition to another life.

So that's why I call it a journey, because it's not an end.

Because it's an end of something, but it's the beginning of something else. So it's a journey. It's a transition.

It's like a connection that someone takes. So what happens, what do we find in the Islamic tradition, or in the statements of a province have a lot, of course of grant talks about the process of debt, and what how person dies and how the angels come? But there's, there's a narration, there's Hadith, where the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam where he gives detail and graphic description as to what happens

when a person dies. But before I get there, I just want to say that very often people are concerned with with the last action or the last thing that they would be doing, like nobody wants to die. And this is the idea or this is this is one of this is one of those take home lessons that we should get from this is that okay, since it's a reality is something that would happen and nobody knows when, right?

Nobody knows well, I mean, there is no appointment, there is no reservation, there is no confirmation. There is no you know, calls wake up call. I mean, a person may get a wake up call, we get all kinds of Wake Up Calls, events that happen in our lives, you know,

some of scars considered gray hair, a wake up call as well, whenever you notice that first gray hair

That's a wake up call. And

but there isn't really a call that you get saying that, oh, by the way, your journey is about to end or about to begin. And in a set amount of days or hours.

And that's why the Prophet says, you know, remember it as often as possible,

right? For it is those who remember it.

Remember, because those who remember it, are better prepared. And in a hurry, it's also said that an intelligent person, or a smart or wise person, is a person who

case human data, in essence, a person who controls who controls himself, conquers his or controls himself and his desires, while maintaining a garden load and works for that which is after death. So there is something that comes after death. But today, we want to talk about the this process.

And that's what they were singing their favorite song, because that's what they were repeating. That was their victory, all the time that their tongue was not used to. So it was an easy, someone that I know, personally should have been very happy. Lola told me about about a young man from their from his community that was dying. And his mom said to the chef, please, you know, every time we tell him

So the Prophet says, then we'll come to him to angels

You know, or I gained a year or a year older. No, no, you're a year closer.

You know, you're not gaining anything. And that's why someone said, you know, it's one of the silliest things.
