I was born in

the Horn of Africa, and Ethiopia in particular,

my parents are from a region and that of all from a village in that region called Hodder

originally from Yemen, migrated there. And when the when that particular city was taken over by the Christian emperor of Ethiopia,

it was about time for my family to migrate. So everybody in my family actually migrated to Syria, instead of going back to Yemen, where they came from, they went to Syria.

And the only one left behind was my father, who actually tried to do something for that region for the Muslims in that place. That village, by the way, by the way, is 100%. Muslims,

small village, very tiny village with 99 minarets,

which reflects that they were there about 99 small masajid and four large massages called Joanna or JAMA, which is plural of Jama.

So my father, you know, stayed there in the capital city for a while. And then finally, it was about time when the communists took over.

They totally lost hope, you know, of getting back that Islamic city. So they decided to, he decided to catch up with the rest of his family. But he didn't make it all the way to Syria. He stopped in the middle and the jazz region. And I grew up in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. I made it there when I was about one year old. And that's where I grew up. I finished my high school they're finished memorizing the color and under the very famous chef known as Abdullah boss for

In 96, right before I finished and 1997, I became the amount of the Islamic center of Laurel, Maryland

1998 99 I was Islamic Studies teacher at the elementary school in Raleigh, North Carolina, and then I became the assistant to the Imam there for about three years. Until 2003. When I moved to California, in particular San Diego, to become the man with Islamic center of San Diego. I came back from San Diego to Columbus, Ohio still following.

That's where I met Muhammad Sharif. And how Sharif offered me the opportunity to join the

The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, Men have the advantage that anyone who fears the fall of the night or you know, anyone who wants to beat darkness, you know how like farmers in the old days, and the village that I told you, my father was born in how to

the the farms that they had were outside the city, the walls and the walls, the city actually had five gates, and the gates will get shut. After at sunset, they will close them. So anyone that goes early in the morning, after frigid, they open them. And then at night, they close them, anyone that goes out to his farm, or her farm has to come back has to make it before they close the gates. So they had to actually work as hard as possible during the daytime. And then right before, before dark, they have to come back. Otherwise they're spending the night outside the walls.

And believe it or not, I was like sitting there I went there to visit like for 10 days. And I was sitting in the outskirts of the village. And as I was sitting, I heard something, you know, like I heard this, like weird noise, something like running, and it was coming towards me. And it just made like a huge turn around around me behind my back and it just kept going. It's like, big, huge dark thing. I was like, I've never seen a dog that big. They're like, that's not a dog man. This hyena Like what?

What I mean hyenas all around the city.

It was huge. And when I remember watching, you know,

Lion King, and they seem to be very funny and very, you know, small. I was like, What is this?

So if you spend the night outside the city, that's who whom you're going to spend the night with. So you better make it back to the city before they close the doors, they before they shut the gates. So the promise I sent him says gives this example man have address anyone that fears

As I was an Imam, you know, and you know, you do a lot of counseling. Sometimes you counsel the youth, sometimes you count that you counsel young couples, sometimes you counsel, you know, older couples and so forth. So I was talking to an auntie one time and I said,

I said, Listen, I mean, can you just forgive uncle? You know, it's okay. You know, I know that he may not be the sweetest guy. I know that he may sometimes forget some of those important occasions, He never says anything to you. But you know, you know, you know, ultimately that if he didn't really care about you, you would have not been together until all these years, you know, and ultimately I wanted to give her some something to look forward to said ultimately, Allah subhanho data will bring you both in gender and you'll forget all this pain and all these days. And the example that I gave one time I said if you have if you have you know, there are two types of trash right that we have two types of things of waste, the one that you can recycle and the one the one that you cannot recycle, right, the one that you can recycle, it will have to go through a recycling process, right? And that recycling process, you know, might involve with being purified, being burned, being in right reprocessing all of that, and the type that will not be that is not recyclable, that you cannot recycle, what do you do?

Yeah, you destroy it forever, right? That's it, we just be destroyed forever. And this is what will happen. There are human beings who can be recycled, who can be purified and cleansed, and they had to go and they have to go through that process,

on the day of judgment, and we ask Allah subhanaw taala not to be of any of those groups at all, sha Allah will, we would love to be shall amongst those who will enter agenda belatacept

And he will say, yeah, that's, that's good. That's enough. And Allah Subhana Allah, Allah will say to him, and when they ration it will say you have that much 10 times and

actually multiply it again by 10 times which will be 100 times.

So this is the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says, This is the least that someone is going to get an agenda. So the this, this man will say to Allah subhanaw taala Are you making fun of me? This is the process I'm saying. It says that, are you making fun of me? While you are the king you have the dominion. And Allah subhanho wa Taala, of course is not going to respond to that. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam he says, The narrator says, Cicero says, I saw the prophets. I saw them smiling until his actually his molars you know showed you know

That's how much he smile because of that statement made by this man. In fact, there is another narration that the prophet SAW the lies and also smiled because of what's one of the companions that the Prophet said that a man will get up in gender one day one of the people of gender will get up and he say, He will say to Allah subhanaw taala I would love to have a piece of land that I can actually cultivate in you know, take a farm,

a farm, why would you want that you have fruits coming to you, right? So the process would have said, and the man will say to a loss of Hannah Montana, that this is something that I that I enjoy doing in life, and I would love to do it.

And Allah subhanaw taala has said in the Quran will grant everyone, whatever they have asked the brother recited back at midnight,

And we saw like a tree of mango full of mangoes. I was like, I've never seen anything like that growing up in Saudi Arabia. And yet, you see nothing but sand. You know, both sides. You see sand by the ocean by the sea, and then you see sand when you go towards Mecca. So I said what is this like mango tree like, and nobody's claiming it? It's like in the sweet? He said, they said yeah, only monkeys eat from that. You know, we have our own farms of mango. So imagine if you were to describe to someone how

mango looks like and how it tastes like that had you know, you will say well It tastes like What does it taste like?

mangoes right? You can't No matter how much you description you give them, you will never be able to really get them to know what mango is like until you let them get a taste of it. You bring the magazine, this is what mango look like taste it and then they taste it. So no matter how much I tell you about Jenna, it's not going to be the same and inshallah when you intergender you will remember this particular incident, this particular occasion, this particular scene, we will all remember it and remind each other of that bit and Allah has

now the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that the people who have agenda will eat agenda.

But you have to remember that, in general, you don't eat out of hunger. Because you're not going to get hungry after that first sip that you get. You will not get thirsty after that first bite. You will never get

hungry.

Okay, you're not going to get thirsty, you're not gonna get hungry, you will just eat, for the heck of it.

Just for the photo, just to enjoy, you know, people do this in dunya.

And the Prophet tells us not to do that, right? has proven to Adam, look, I imagine you're going to study the, the eating habits of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, you know, put it off region, you know, here in dunya, you eat whenever you feel you're hungry. And whenever, as much as you need in that set, you get enough, so you can stay healthy. And you can be, you know, productive, and you can keep this level of energy energy high. So you can do as much as possible for Jenna. But in general, you just sit around and eat for the fun of it. And you will actually move from one activity to another, not because you get bored, just because of something else gets your attention.

Oh, I haven't, I haven't flown for a while. So Exactly. start flying around. All right, oh, I need to go and visit the province on the law. And he was saying that you go and visit the process. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says, I'll keep this woman down enough so that the intelligent the smarter the clever one is the one that actually keeps himself under control that who will control himself while I'm in any my burden mode

It will help you and motivate you to control yourself to keep yourself under control.
